Abstract

The need for accelerated development requires rapid data collection. In today's increasingly advanced technological landscape, the utilization of big data emerges as a highly reliable solution for data collection. One exemplary form of big data is the daily capture of satellite imagery, particularly nighttime lights (NTL). NTL serves as a valuable product derived from satellite imagery and can be employed as an alternative dataset for analysis. This research utilizes Nighttime lights as an auxiliary variable to estimate the average household per capita expenditure in small areas, namely districts, employing the empirical best linear unbiased prediction Fay Herriot (EBLUP FH) method and small area estimation by incorporating measurement error effects on the covariate (SAE-ME). The study demonstrates that Nighttime lights can be employed as an alternative auxiliary variable for estimating the average per capita expenditure in districts, as evidenced by a lower RRMSE compared to direct estimation results. However, the measurement error effects on the NTL covariate should be considered by employing a model that takes into account measurement errors. The SAE-ME method provides estimated average expenditure values at the district level that closely align with BPS publications, with an average RRMSE per district of 7.5 percent.

Abstract

General elections are held with the intention of electing community representatives who can then form a government, continue the independence movement, and uphold the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. Political parties themselves are a forum for association and gathering of people to participate in government guaranteed by the constitution. In becoming election participants political parties and members of political parties must register through the Political Party Information System (SIPOL) created by the election organizers, namely the General Election Commission in order to help make it easier for political parties to register and assist the KPU in carrying out the stages of verification and determination of political parties participating in elections as well as creating more transparent and accountable parties and increasing orderliness of political parties in the registration stage. The purpose of this research is to describe the application of political party information systems, especially in Tegal City, as well as to describe the quality of political parties. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method, with data analysis techniques using Nvivo analysis to obtain systematic analysis results. The results of the study show that the application of the Political Party Information System at the Tegal City KPU and the Tegal City political parties is said to be quite good. Where from the KPU and political parties they feel very facilitated by the existence of SIPOL as a tool for registering, verifying, and determining political parties participating in elections, as well as the level of transparency and accountability of political parties has increased since the existence of SIPOL

Abstract

The article discusses materials about the life and mathematical heritage of the famous Central Asian scholar Abu Raikhan Beruni. Beruniy wrote his first major work at the age of 27 in Al-Asarul-bokiya (Remains of Ancient Peoples). In this work, the author reflects the achievements of scientists of that time in the field of mathematics, astronomy and geometry. Beruniy describes the ideas of the ancient Arabs, Iranians, Sogdians, Khorezmians, Greeks, Romans and other peoples cited in yearbooks, as well as information about popular months, weeks and days, holidays and traditions. Completed in 1031, Beruni's famous book, covering 80 chapters of “India,” is devoted to various aspects of astronomical science, as well as the development of geometry, history and other objects in Indian society, about Hindu religious beliefs and customs

Abstract

The big water bodies covering about 4.3 metres hectare of inland water and 480 km of coastline give very high potential for fisheries and aquaculture production, the subtropical climate and adequate soil and aquatic conditions. Despite this, the development of fish remained very poor and stagnant until 1985. Owing to a lack of funding for science, the few development projects introduced at the time did not achieve the desired results. Consequently , the second and third five year plans did not meet the production goals stated. On the other hand, in 1984 the FRI was developed and improved aquaculture and management practises were subsequently produced, and a positive contribution was made to almost reaching the production target of 1.2 m tonnes, in 1994-95, the final year of the Fourth Five Year Plan.The aquaculture sector in India is a rapidly growing, more than 7 per cent, fish farming sector annually. About 95% of total annual aquaculture production of 5.77 million tonnes is supported by Freshwater Aquaculture. The three main Indian carps (CatlaCatla, Labeorohita and Cirrhinusmrigala) and their "composite carp culture" technologies have brought substantial upward shifts in freshwater development with the inclusion of the exotic three carp (Hypophthalmichthysmolitrix, Ctenopharyngodonidella, Cyprinus carpio) in ponds and tanks. Late in the day, diversification took place by the introduction of medium and minor carps, catfish and murrels.

Abstract

Little advancement in science and technology offer as much promise for humanity's future as the collection of computer science-enabled skills referred to as artificial intelligence (AI). AI has the potential to improve the health and well-being of people, communities, and nations, as well as to help in the achievement of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda for 2030. However, like with previous breakthrough breakthroughs, AI applications have the potential to undermine international peace and security, particularly when integrated into the tools and systems of state military. In recognition of this, UN Secretary-General António Guterres' disarmament agenda, Securing Our Common Future, emphasizes the importance for UN member states to gain a better understanding of the nature and implications of emerging technologies with potential military applications, as well as the importance of maintaining human control over weapon systems. He underlines the growing importance of conversation between governments, civic society, and the commercial sector as a supplement to current intergovernmental mechanisms. This is especially true for AI, which, as an enabling technology, is expected to be incorporated into a wide range of military applications yet is now being researched primarily for non-military, predominantly civilian, uses. Nothing has been accomplished from the perspective of a developed country such as Pakistan. If data's use as a foundation for reporting and storytelling grows, it is critical to find responses to concerns about the use or misuse of data, the skills needed to do so, data journalism platforms and instruments, and potential newsroom changes. This research aims to answer the concerns from Pakistan's perspective. Additionally, it addresses the intellectual turns that Big Data and data journalism take in collecting, processing, explaining, interpreting, and representing reality.

Abstract

Information Communication Technology is one of the instructional aides available for the implementation of teaching programmed in all educational institutions especially in the public secondary schools. However, the deployment of Information communication technologies for the teaching and learning of Economics in Federal capital seem to be faced with many challenges. This paper discussed the factors hindering effective deployment of ICT for teaching and learning in Federal Capital Territory. Empirical papers on ICT both print and softcopies were collected and used in this paper. The empirical papers were sourced from physical libraries and online. Inadequate funding, inadequate ICT facilities, unstable power supply, poor internet services, high cost of ICT facilities, shortage of ICT expertise, poor implementation of ICT policies, poor implementation of ICT policies, poor ICT literacy of Economics teachers and poor ICT literacy of Economics Students were identified as the factors hindering effective deployment of ICT for teaching and learning of economics in Federal capital Territory, Abuja. To address these problems, the following were recommended; that the government should increase the funding of the ICT programs in all the public secondary schools in Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. This will make funds available for school administrators to purses adequate ICT facilities for students’ use and the government should provide adequate ICT facilities in all public secondary schools in Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. This will provide opportunities for Economics teachers and students to use ICT for teaching and learning in their schools etc.
