Abstract

The implementation of the Electronic Whistleblowing (WBS) system through the Complaint Service Information System application at the Jombang Regency Inspectorate is an innovation to increase transparency, accountability, and effectiveness of government governance. This application makes it easy for the public and employees to submit complaints quickly, safely, and in a structured manner through an easily accessible digital system. The electronic-based reporting feature and real-time monitoring of report status accelerate the Inspectorate's response to various complaints received. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with five main indicators: commitment, visibility, accessibility, simplicity, and speed of complaint handling. The results of the study showed a high level of respondent satisfaction, with an average positive assessment of above 75%, as well as increased employee work efficiency, accelerated complaint resolution, and public participation in monitoring public services. However, challenges such as low digital literacy in rural areas, internal resistance to transparency, and issues of reporter data security still need to be addressed. Optimizing this system requires a broader socialization strategy, increased digital literacy, and strengthened technology infrastructure and data security. With these steps, WBS electronification is expected to become a more inclusive, effective, and sustainable complaint system in supporting clean and responsive governance.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has encouraged many companies to adopt Management Information Systems (MIS) to enhance operational performance. However, a significant number of organizations continue to experience suboptimal results due to inadequate employee training, inconsistent system maintenance, and weak managerial support. This indicates a critical gap between MIS implementation and its expected benefits, particularly in improving operational efficiency. This study aims to bridge that gap by investigating the impact of MIS implementation on operational performance and identifying key success factors that influence its effectiveness. Using a quantitative approach, the research involved a case study in a medium-sized manufacturing company, with data collected from 100 respondents across operational-related depart-ments through a structured questionnaire. The findings show that effective MIS implementation contributes substantially to operational efficiency by streamlining workflows, minimizing processing time, and enhancing resource allocation. Furthermore, success is strongly associated with comprehensive user training, consistent system maintenance, and committed managerial support. These findings offer practical insights for organizations seeking to maximize the benefits of MIS and can serve as strategic references for improving operational performance through targeted system implementation efforts.

Abstract

The presence of social media encourages users to be more active in interacting and voicing opinions related to news that is in the spotlight. One notable example is the Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) program. The purpose of this study is to identify the social networks formed in the conversations of social media users discussing the Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) program. A quantitative approach using the Social Network Analysis (SNA) method was employed to address the research question. The findings indicate that social networks on social media X specifically discuss this program. Geraldd434543 and GenZNusantara are the primary actors with the highest degree of centrality and eigenvector centrality values in the network. A total of 297 nodes demonstrate a closeness centrality value, indicating that these actors are closely connected within the network. The network lacks actors who serve as brokers or intermediaries, based on the centrality values observed.

Abstract

This research definitively compares Building Information Modeling (BIM) with conventional methods to optimize reinforcing bar usage in multi-story building construction. Reinforcing bars are high-value materials, accounting for 20-30% of construction material procurement costs. The BIM method uses Autodesk Revit for 3D modeling and reinforcement, and Cutting Optimization Pro software for cutting optimization. The conventional method uses AutoCAD and MS Excel. The analysis results clearly indicate that the BIM method is more efficient with a volume of 183,618.77 kg compared to the conventional method's 194,562.98 kg. BIM generates significant savings for D10 (14.51%), D13 (47.29%), and D16 (40.15%) diameter bars. BIM combined with Autodesk Revit automatically generates Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) that are integrated with 3D models. This approach ensures seamless updates, eliminates error risks, and delivers superior clash detection capabilities. BIM's waste optimization strategy achieved a significant reduction in total reinforcement waste by 13,288.28 kg, from 32,148.83 kg to 18,860.56 kg. This was accomplished through the use of precise 3D modeling, despite slight increases in waste observed in D13 and D16 due to differences in calculation approaches.

Abstract

Roads are land transportation infrastructure and are a very vital transportation route. One of the functions of roads is as a driving factor in the development process and equitable development of an area, apart from that, roads also play an important role in the transportation process. Langsa Lama District is one of the fastest growing districts in Langsa City. This research aims to model the topographic mapping of the road network and road damage in Langsa Lama District using GIS and determine the damaged road network in Langsa Lama District. This research method is in the form of analyzing routes where there is road damage using a Geographic Information System which is divided into main stages, namely database development and data analysis starting from data collection and supporting maps. The final results of this research obtained a topographic map of the road network and road damage in Langsa Lama District, Langsa City.

Abstract

Introduction: Parental involvement in monitoring child development is essential to detect early developmental disorders and ensure appropriate interventions. However, many parents have limited knowledge regarding developmental milestones, which hinders their participation in developmental screening activities. This study aims to analyze the relationship between exposure to child development information and parental involvement in developmental screening, including the sources of such information among mothers of toddlers. Method: A cross-sectional design involving 57 mothers of children aged 3–72 months was employed. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using univariate statistics to describe parental participation and information sources. Bivariate analysis using the chi-square test was conducted to assess the association between exposure to developmental information and parental involvement in screening activities. Results: The majority of respondents were aged 36–50 years (54.4%), had completed secondary education (77.2%), and were unemployed (52.6%). Most respondents (57.9%) had been exposed to child development information, predominantly from health workers. Parental participation in screening was higher among mothers who had received developmental information (66.7%) than those who had not (20.8%). The association between information exposure and parental participation was statistically significant (p = 0.001). Conclusion: Exposure to developmental information significantly influences parental participation in child development screening. Parental awareness and understanding of developmental milestones are critical in supporting timely health interventions. Therefore, healthcare professionals should implement comprehensive educational efforts through various media to enhance parental engagement

Abstract

Production activities in manufacturing companies are essential elements of the company. Recording production activities must be documented to produce information needed to make the right decisions in production and use of all existing company resources. This study focuses on developing a Production Information System in a plywood company. The company's production planning activities and monitoring are documented using Excel. This causes difficulties in monitoring the duration of production activities carried out. This study aims to develop a production information system that monitors production processes. This system includes raw material procurement, production planning, inventory control, and production process monitoring. The development methods include production process analysis, data collection, cost calculation method research, system design, implementation, testing, and evaluation. The verification process is carried out by checking all features and the progress of the production process. The validation process is carried out by interviewing and testing the system on users. As a result, the system has been able to meet company standards in managing production routing based on the duration calculations prepared so that the PPIC manager can monitor the progress of ongoing production.
