Abstract

This paper aims to determine the Implementation of Digital Archives in Supporting Accountability of Accountable ASN Data in the Information System at the BKPSDMD Makassar City. This research uses a qualitative approach and produces descriptive data. Data collection is done by observation, interviews and documentation. Data is processed using interactive model analysis, namely data condensation, data presentation and conclusion testing. The results showed that the implementation of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) data information system at the Makassar City BKPSDMD in this case regarding digital archives has been implemented but is still not optimal. There are 4 indicators that are taken into consideration in looking at the implementation of the policy, namely in terms of communication, resources, disposition and bureaucratic structure. Of the four indicators, the obstacles in implementing and implementing digital archives are resources because first, the availability of staff within the scope of the BKPSDMD Makassar City is still very lacking and indeed until now there are several contract and honorary workers employed at the BKPSDMD Makassar City Office because of the many jobs that are the main duties and functions of employees,  and secondly regarding the facilities and infrastructure in the BKPSDMD Makassar City office is still very minimal due to the lack of supporting devices in applying digital archives for staff and complete equipment is only provided in certain parts.

Abstract

This study examines the use of social media by the Tourist Information center (TIC), a local tourism service business operating in the Legian and Seminyak areas of Bali. Social media has proven effective in strengthening destination image through visual content, user testimonials, and two way interaction. However, in practice, TIC still faces several challenges, including limited human resources, advertising costs that are not proportional to outcomes, and inconsistent digital identity. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using in depth interviews, social media observation, and literature review. The findings reveal that strategies based on traveler experiences, the integration of digital service links, and content alignment with digital trends help build trust and increase audience engagement. This study provides practical insights for small tourism businesses in designing impactful digital promotion strategies and offers a conceptual foundation for understanding the role of social media in local tourism enterprises. Keywords: Social Media, Tourism Promotion, and Digital Strategy.

Abstract

Background of the study: Information has become a powerful element that shapes our thoughts, decisions, opinions and holistic approach towards life. The requirement for information ranges from personal and professional development to social survival Purpose: The main purpose of this study is to assess the information needs and information-seeking behavior of the users of a southern public university library in Bangladesh. Method: A quantitative approach was used to explain the information-seeking behavior of the student-users of the target library. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data from the users/students. A simple random sampling technique was used to reach the target population. The link to the questionnaire was sent to almost 350 students and finally, 205 responses were retrieved with a response rate of 58.5%. The collected data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 25. Findings: The study discovered that students of Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) mostly use the library for studying and internet access. Library books are the most popular resource. Obstacles to information access, including a scarcity of book copies, inexperience with the library catalog, and a perception of insufficient resources, were major barriers to seeking information. The present study revealed that gender did not have a major impact on the purposes of visiting the library. Significant differences were found between age groups, demonstrating that preferences change as students progress through their academic lives. Conclusion: The achieved findings are a new discovery for the students of the southern part of Bangladesh, as no previous studies have been published in this part of Bangladesh.

Abstract

Background of the study: Education is a basic human right for all, including persons with disabilities. The right to information for students with disabilities is guaranteed by the national law of the Republic of Indonesia. However, students with disabilities still face discrimination and marginalization on campus that might impede their academic achievement and subjective well-being. Purpose: This study aims to explore information experiences of students with disabilities in Universitas Airlangga, which includes information on university policies, research opportunities, student organizations, and career opportunities. Method: This study employed a mixed-methods approach by conducting in-depth interviews with students with disabilities (n = 5), surveys with non-disabled students (n = 106), and focus group discussions with faculty representatives (n = 10). Findings: This study found that inaccessible information continues to be a problem for students with disabilities. However, some of their non-disabled peers, professors, and staff members have been relatively helpful in navigating their respective campus lives. The commitment to inclusive education is shown by the university and faculties within, but effective and sustainable action is required to tackle these issues. Conclusion: The authors recommend that the university utilize already-existing organizations to conduct workshops and promote inclusive learning on campus.

Abstract

This study evaluates the performance of the Population Administration Information System (SIAK) policy at the South Nias Regency Department of Population and Civil Registration (Disdukcapil). Using William N. Dunn’s six criteria—effectiveness, efficiency, adequacy, equity, responsiveness, and appropriateness—the research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data triangulation from interviews, observations, and documentation. Informants include Disdukcapil officials and community members using the services. The findings show that SIAK has improved service effectiveness by speeding up the population document recording and printing processes. Efficiency has increased in terms of time and cost, though challenges like limited network infrastructure and low digital literacy persist in remote areas. Service adequacy and equity have improved, but public participation in reporting population events remains low. While institutional responsiveness has improved, digital complaint channels and inter-agency coordination need further enhancement. The SIAK policy is deemed appropriate, aligning with national regulations. Meta-evaluation results indicate excellent evaluation quality, particularly in propriety (81.3%) and accuracy (83.3%).

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has encouraged government institutions to adopt electronic-based systems to enhance public service delivery. The Department of Education of Bogor Regency has developed the Personnel Information System (SAKEDIK) to streamline personnel data management. This study aims to evaluate user satisfaction with the SAKEDIK system using the End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) method, which assesses five dimensions: content, accuracy, format, ease of use, and timeliness. Data were gathered through questionnaires distributed to 97 respondents and analyzed using the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI). The results show that overall user satisfaction falls within the "moderately satisfied" category. The information quality dimension received a "very satisfied" rating, while the system quality dimension was rated as "satisfied." These findings suggest that while the SAKEDIK system performs well in terms of content and accuracy, there is room for improvement in other areas, particularly in system usability and timeliness. This study provides insights that can guide future enhancements of the SAKEDIK system to improve user satisfaction and contribute to better public service management.
