Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of loading and unloading service quality, availability of human resources, operational efficiency, and information technology on customer satisfaction simultaneously at PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas (TPK) Pantoloan, Palu, Central Sulawesi. The research method uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The research sample consisted of customers who used TPK Pantoloan port services. The results showed that the four variables simultaneously had a significant effect on customer satisfaction with an F test value of 103.022 and a significance level of 0.000. The determination coefficient (R²) of 0.848 indicates that 84.8% of the variation in customer satisfaction can be explained by the variables of loading and unloading service quality, availability of human resources, operational efficiency, and information technology. These findings confirm the importance of integration between service factors, human resources, efficiency, and technology in improving customer satisfaction at container ports. The managerial implications of this study are the need for continuous improvement in service quality, human resource competency development, optimization of operational efficiency, and more intensive use of information technology. This research makes an empirical contribution to port management, especially in the Central Sulawesi region which has unique operational characteristics.

Abstract

This study applies Business Process Reengineering (BPR) combined with digital document management to improve the efficiency of public information dispute resolution at the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Batu City, Indonesia. It identifies key inefficiencies in manual workflows, such as document sorting, verification, and archiving, which slow service delivery and reduce accuracy. By redesigning processes to eliminate non-value-adding steps and integrating automation via a web-based dashboard for real-time monitoring, the study achieves significant operational improvements. Using ASME-standard process mapping and throughput efficiency testing—a rigorous quantitative approach rarely employed in public sector BPR evaluations—the research measures process performance objectively. Results show throughput efficiency increased from 37.32% to 69.43%, with substantial reductions in processing time, enhanced document accessibility, and strengthened information security. Automated workflows reduce human error and improve traceability in dispute handling. The novelty of this study lies in its methodological integration of engineering standards with public administration reform and its practical application of digital BPR in a complex, bureaucratic Indonesian government context. This provides robust empirical evidence on how digital transformation synergized with BPR can enhance transparency, responsiveness, and service quality in public dispute management. The findings offer valuable insights for governmental institutions aiming to modernize administrative procedures, improve accountability, and align operational performance with citizen expectations in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a web-based e-commerce information system for creative services at Cahaya Kreativ using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, addressing the company's lack of an integrated digital platform for managing service orders, portfolios, consultations, and online payments. The RAD method was chosen due to its emphasis on speed, prototyping, and close user collaboration—making it more suitable than traditional methods like Waterfall for projects requiring rapid development and ongoing user input in a dynamic service environment. The system was built using React.js for the frontend, Express.js for the backend, PostgreSQL as the database, Tailwind CSS for UI design, and Midtrans integration as a payment gateway. The development process included two iterations covering requirement analysis, system design (use case diagram, sequence diagram, class diagram, ERD), implementation, and testing through Blackbox Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Results indicate that the system operates according to specifications and has received positive user feedback. It is expected to enhance Cahaya Kreativ’s operational efficiency, expand market reach, and improve the digital experience for customers ordering creative services online, while also supporting streamlined business processes, data consistency, and increased user engagement through responsive and interactive features. Stakeholder involvement throughout the development ensured the system closely matched real business requirements, resulting in a comprehensive digital solution that enhances customer satisfaction and operational performance through technology-driven innovation.

Abstract

drg. Irna Dental Clinic is a healthcare facility that still uses a semi-manual system for patient registration and medical recordkeeping, leading to various issues such as service delays, recording errors, and difficulties in managing patient data. This study aims to design and develop a web-based information system that integrates administrative processes, including patient registration, appointment scheduling, medical record management, and online consultation features. The system was developed using the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Waterfall model, employing modern web technologies for the frontend, user interface design, and database management. System testing was conducted using the Black Box Testing method with 48 test cases, all of which were successfully executed as expected. This indicates that all the core features of the system function properly and consistently. The results show that the system can improve the clinic’s operational efficiency, simplify access to information, and support more organized and modern patient services. By transitioning from a semi-manual system to a fully digital one, the clinic can provide faster, more accurate, and easily accessible services, significantly enhancing the overall patient experience and helping the clinic keep up with technological advancements in healthcare service delivery. Additionally, the feedback from the clinic's staff (doctors and admins) confirmed that the system meets the operational goals and provides a more efficient solution compared to the previous manual processes.

Abstract

The integration of information technology in higher education is essential to support academic and administrative activities. The MELISA Information System at Surabaya State University plays a vital role in meeting student needs. Periodic evaluation of user satisfaction is necessary to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the service, as poor system quality can hinder learning and productivity. This study aims to analyze and evaluate the quality of the MELISA Information System at Surabaya State University and its impact on student satisfaction. Specifically, this research seeks to determine how WebQual 4.0's Usability Quality, Information Quality, and Service Interaction Quality dimensions influence user satisfaction. Using a quantitative descriptive survey method, data was collected via online questionnaires from Surabaya State University students who use MELISA. System quality was measured using three dimensions of WebQual 4.0: Usability Quality, Information Quality, and Service Interaction Quality. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression to test the effect of quality dimensions on student satisfaction. The results show that Usability Quality, Information Quality, and Service Interaction Quality significantly affect student satisfaction with MELISA. The majority of respondents gave a positive assessment, although some improvements are still needed. Information Quality was found to be the most dominant influence on student satisfaction. The quality of the MELISA Information System, based on WebQual 4.0, is crucial for student satisfaction at Surabaya State University. To increase user satisfaction, the university must continue to improve the usability, accuracy of information, and quality of service interactions in the MELISA system.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) contribute significantly to the Indonesian economy, yet many still rely on manual transaction recording using Excel, which often results in errors, delays in reporting, and difficulties in accessing historical sales data. These limitations hinder effective decision-making and reduce operational efficiency. In response to these challenges, this study aims to develop a website-based sales transaction data monitoring information system that enables real-time monitoring and structured data management for various user roles: admin, reseller, and leader. The system was developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, which emphasizes fast prototyping and user feedback to ensure functionality meets actual needs. Features include automated Excel data uploads, interactive dashboards, and reseller performance visualizations tailored to user roles. Testing was conducted using Black Box Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The results indicate that all system functions operated according to design specifications and received positive feedback from users regarding usability and effectiveness. The implementation of this system successfully addresses the common problems faced by MSMEs in transaction management by improving accuracy, speeding up reporting, and enhancing monitoring transparency. In conclusion, this system offers a practical solution that is ready to be adopted by MSMEs with similar transaction recording issues, supporting digital transformation and operational efficiency in the MSME sector.

Abstract

Information security is a crucial aspect of information technology management, especially in government institutions such as the Department of Communication and Informatics (DISKOMINFO), which often faces challenges such as cyberattacks, lack of formal documentation, and limited resources in managing risks and securing data. These challenges hinder the organization’s ability to protect sensitive information and maintain public trust. This study evaluates the maturity level of information security governance at DISKOMINFO of Sampang Regency using the COBIT 5 framework, focusing on three domains: APO12 (Manage Risk), APO13 (Manage Security), and DSS05 (Manage Security Services). The method used is a case study with a descriptive qualitative approach through interviews and documentation. The results show that all three processes are at Level 1 (Performed Process), with 40.34% in the Partially Achieved category for APO12, 84.60% in the Largely Achieved category for APO13, and 57.23% in the Largely Achieved category for DSS05, where processes are carried out but not formally documented or standardized. There is a lack of monitoring and continuous improvement, making the governance reactive rather than proactive. Improvements are needed through development of policies, formal procedures, and more organized, sustainable security controls. Increasing employee awareness and allocating resources for information security are also critical. This research provides novelty by evaluating three COBIT 5 domains (APO12, APO13, DSS05) in a local government context, which has rarely been done. The findings offer a comprehensive maturity mapping as a strategic reference for improving information security governance in local government institutions.

Abstract

Extracurricular activities are an important part of the holistic development of students which includes the formation of character, interests, talents, and social skills. However, many educational institutions still manage these activities manually through spreadsheets and printed documents, resulting in data duplication, information delays, and low transparency. This research aims to design and develop a web-based extracurricular information system to support the administration, monitoring, and evaluation of activities in an efficient and structured manner. The development of the system uses the Waterfall model chosen for its sequential and well-documented workflow, suitable for systems with predefined needs from the outset. The development stages include needs analysis, system design using UML, implementation with Laravel 9 and MySQL, as well as testing through the Black Box method and direct evaluation by the end user. The results of the Black Box test show that all system features are working according to specifications. Additionally, feedback from users shows a high level of satisfaction with the ease of use, navigation, and relevance of the features provided. This system successfully overcomes administrative challenges in managing extracurricular activities and is able to improve operational efficiency and user engagement. With the support of features such as automatic periodic assessments, PDF reports, notifications to parents, as well as a multilingual interface, the system has the potential to be more widely adopted by educational institutions that have similar contexts.

Abstract

Digitalization in warehouse stock management has become increasingly important, particularly for small and medium enterprises that still rely on manual recording methods. These traditional systems often lead to delays, data inaccuracies, and operational inefficiencies. This study aims to design and implement a web-based warehouse stock management information system to improve the recording process, increase accuracy, and support decision-making at Digital Connection, a company still using Microsoft Excel for inventory tracking. The system was developed using the waterfall method, which includes five structured stages: needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Functional testing was conducted through black box testing to validate the performance of all system features from a user perspective. The results demonstrate that the developed system enables real-time recording of incoming and outgoing goods, provides interactive data visualization through a dashboard, and issues automatic alerts for minimum stock thresholds. Compared to the previous manual system, the digital solution significantly enhances data accuracy, reduces the risk of duplication or loss, and speeds up reporting processes. This transition not only streamlines warehouse operations but also improves user responsiveness in stock management activities. In conclusion, the proposed information system offers an effective and adaptive approach for small businesses to transition from manual to digital warehouse management, contributing to operational efficiency and supporting broader digital transformation initiatives in logistics and supply chain environments.

Abstract

The increasing volume of data on human activities has resulted in a growing number of visitors to schools, particularly in the western part of Rangkasbitung, Lebak, Banten. Prospective parents visit the RA (Raudhatul Athfal) institution to enroll their children in school, pay monthly administration fees, and engage in educational activities with various general visitors. This influx poses several challenges for school administration and security, especially since visit records are still maintained manually, leading to data loss, difficulties in accessing visit histories, and limitations in monitoring guests, including parents and vendors. This issue impacts the transparency of school activity records. To address this, the research proposes a web-based school booking system to record visitor data based on the purpose of the visit, thus allowing for more effective data access and preliminary analysis in the event of an incident. This system is developed using the waterfall method, which is chosen for its structured concept, suitable for small to medium-sized school environments. Each phase consists of needs analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance, carried out sequentially. Evaluation using a Likert scale from 104 respondents (determined by Slovin's formula) showed the Daily Report feature scored highest at 3.81, while the Weekly Report was lowest at 3.04. Maintenance tests found input validation and weekly report printing less smooth (2.84 and 2.69). Overall, the system effectively supports visitor monitoring with accessible features.
