Abstract

Manual management of palm oil harvest data often resulted in data inconsistencies, low operational efficiency, and financial losses for plantation companies. To address these challenges, this study aimed to implement the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) method within a harvest monitoring information system at PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN; Nusantara Plantation Company, Ltd) IV Regional II Unit Adolina, with the goal of enhancing data accuracy, transparency, and managerial effectiveness. A quantitative research approach was employed, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and document analysis. Five out of ten afdeling units were selected as research samples. The performance was assessed using three primary indicators: total harvest yield (weighted at 40%), labour productivity (35%), and monthly harvest frequency (25%). The results revealed significant variations in KPI achievement across afdeling units, with several units exceeding the established targets. Furthermore, the developed system featured an interactive visual dashboard that enabled managers to monitor performance in real time and supported data-driven decision-making. Compared to traditional monitoring tools, this system offered enhanced integration of performance metrics, automated data processing, and real-time analytics, addressing previous limitations such as delayed reporting and fragmented data sources. In conclusion, the integration of KPI into the harvest monitoring information system proved to be effective in providing objective and measurable performance evaluation. This approach offered a strategic solution for improving operational efficiency and productivity in palm oil plantation management.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of public information disclosure in supporting competency development training for civil servants at PPSDM Regional Bukittinggi, Ministry of Home Affairs. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method, data were collected through in depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving structural officials, information management staff, and targeted civil servant participants. The findings reveal that the current dissemination of training information remains suboptimal, relying primarily on manual correspondence through BKPSDM offices. This approach results in slow delivery, limited reach, and unequal access among civil servants, compounded by the underutilization of digital platforms, absence of structured communication policies, and lack of dedicated public relations resources. However, existing regulatory support, the growing need for competency development, and the availability of digital infrastructure present significant opportunities for improvement. The study recommends the development of an integrated web-based information system, active use of social media for interactive engagement, and the institutionalization of public relations functions. These strategies are expected to enhance accessibility, participation, and public trust while serving as a replicable model for other multi regional training centers. The findings underscore the importance of shifting toward proactive, technology driven, and resource supported public information management to strengthen transparency and efficiency in civil servant competency development.

Abstract

Lentera Grill Restaurant faces long customer queues due to manual ordering processes, particularly during peak hours. Our research aimed to reduce wait times and improve service accuracy through technology. We designed and built a web-based reservation system using Python, React, and MongoDB that applies the FCFS (First Come First Served) method to process orders in sequence of arrival. Testing involved two phases: functional validation through Blackbox Testing of all user pathways, and performance assessment using JMeter with 20, 50, and 100 simultaneous users. Results showed the system maintained stable throughput with zero error rates across all load scenarios, though we observed latency spikes during heavy traffic that require attention. The FCFS implementation reduced average wait times by 37% compared to the previous manual system and increased customer satisfaction ratings in post-implementation surveys. Restaurants with similar queue management challenges would benefit from adopting such technology-based solutions that balance customer experience with operational efficiency

Abstract

Indonesia, as one of the largest archipelagic states, possesses a vast and strategically significant airspace intersecting some of the busiest international flight routes in the Asia-Pacific region. The management of this airspace is critical to upholding national sovereignty and security. However, parts of Indonesia’s strategic airspace, particularly over the Riau Islands and Natuna, remain under Singapore’s control through the delegation of the Flight Information Region (FIR). The 2022 FIR boundary adjustment agreement between Jakarta and Singapore is seen as a diplomatic milestone that expands Jakarta FIR coverage. Nonetheless, it controversially extends the delegation of air navigation management up to 37,000 feet to Singapore in sectors A and B. This situation raises concerns over the full exercise of Indonesia’s air sovereignty, as mandated by Article 1 of the 1944 Chicago Convention and Article 458 of Law No. 1/2009 on Aviation. This normative legal research, based on literature and interviews, finds that the agreement does not significantly alter Indonesia’s legal sovereignty. It also highlights disparities in FIR management and recommends that Indonesia develop a revised roadmap toward full FIR control, treating the Riau and Natuna airspace as a critical border area requiring absolute sovereignty.

Abstract

The Backyard Villa is a medium-scale lodging business that relies on manual booking methods like text messages and phone calls. This approach leads to various issues, including delayed confirmations, data duplication or loss, and limited access to information for prospective guests. These inefficiencies negatively impact the operational effectiveness and overall service quality. This study aims to design and implement a web-based reservation information system to enhance service performance and competitiveness in the digital era. The system was developed using the waterfall method, which includes requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and testing phases. The system defines two main types of users—guests and admins with different access rights and features. System functionality testing was conducted on 28 scenarios, covering the booking process, villa data management, and reporting. The test results demonstrated a 100% success rate. The system not only simplifies the reservation process for customers through self-service but also supports the management in handling booking data, customer information, and operational reports more efficiently. The implementation of this system is expected to significantly improve the operational efficiency and service quality of The Backyard Villa by automating manual tasks, reducing errors, and providing a better user experience for both guests and management.
