Abstract

Previous research found that sukuk is more exposed to information asymmetry problems, especially adverse selection, than bond. Indonesia as the third largest country for sukuk market falls below its peers in terms of governance. It means the information asymmetry in Indonesia is relatively higher which could reduce market effectiveness. So to improve sukuk market in Indonesia, studying the implication of information asymmetry and how it affects the capital structure decision is important. This study try to explain the issuance of sukuk in Indonesia 2013-2022 from information asymmetry perspective. This study uses secondary data from 2013-2022 and would be done by using logistic regression to conclude if the variables representing adverse selection and moral hazard affect the decision of sukuk issuance. Our regression found evidence of adverse selection in Indonesia sukuk market but did not find moral hazard problem. The result supports previous research that concludes that sukuk structuration leads firms with higher financial distress and a lower reputation to enter the market. The result could help investor to understand sukuk market and review their risk management procedure. It could also become additional material for government to design a suitable regulatory environment for a more govern sukuk market that would improve the development of sukuk market.

Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the role of social media information quality, social media usage frequency, and political marketing activities through social media in increasing the trust and political engagement of women in North Luwu. Methodology: A quantitative approach was used, with a population of female activists in the region. Data were collected from 250 respondents through an online survey and analyzed using a structural equation modeling approach based on partial least squares (PLS-SEM). Results and Findings: The results indicate that social media information quality has a significant and positive effect on trust (p < 0.05) but is not significant for political engagement (p > 0.05). Conversely, social media usage frequency has a significant and positive effect on both trust (p < 0.05) and political engagement (p < 0.05). Political marketing activities on social media significantly affect trust (p < 0.05) but do not show a direct significant effect on political engagement (p > 0.05). Trust is proven to mediate the relationship and has a significant effect on increasing political engagement (p < 0.05). Novelty and Originality: This study offers a new way of thinking about things by adding an important factor—the amount of time people spend on social media—that hasn't been looked at in previous studies (Hamid et al., 2020).Conclusion: This study helps politicians and political marketing consultants in the real world, and it also expands the ways that social exchange theory and relationship marketing can be used to understand women's political participation.Type of Paper: Research Article.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze how the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI), self-confidence, and information quality influence the adoption of e-commerce and the marketing performance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Methodology: The research employed a survey method involving 222 MSME respondents in Palopo City. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) approach, which is appropriate for evaluating complex inter-variable relationships and hypothesis testing. Results: The findings demonstrate that AI adoption, self-confidence, and information quality each have significant effects on e-commerce adoption and, subsequently, on marketing performance. AI enables automation and personalization; self-confidence drives willingness to adopt innovation; and high-quality information supports better decision-making. Findings: The study reveals that these three variables act as enablers of digital transformation for MSMEs, particularly in strengthening their marketing competitiveness through e-commerce. Novelty: This research integrates psychological (self-confidence), technological (AI adoption), and informational dimensions into a single predictive model for MSME digital adoption. Originality: The study offers a comprehensive approach to understanding MSMEs' readiness for e-commerce in a developing region, a topic still underexplored in empirical literature. Conclusion: Adopting AI, fostering self-confidence, and ensuring quality information are key to enhancing e-commerce use and marketing outcomes in MSMEs. Type of Paper: Empirical research paper.

Abstract

This article tries to explain the use of information technology for the NTB Care application as a digital media for responding to public complaints. Three dimensions are measured to determine the effective implementation of NTB Care in resolving public complaint services: the Ease of Use dimension, the Trust dimension and the Reliability dimension. The research uses a comparative descriptive method with a qualitative approach and literature analysis by collecting data from official NTB government documents, the NTB Care data center, the NTB Care Website, the NTB care Facebook, and other literature related to NTB Care. The results showed that the use of the NTB Care application as a medium for responding to public complaints was good and received excellent public trust, but the obstacles faced were in the agency that became the goal of the problems raised by the community, the average response time for OPD in handling complaints that come in 1-120 days. There is no clarity regarding reports that have not been followed up on to be resolved. NTB Care is an application as a forum to accommodate the community's aspirations; then, the NTB Care admin will forward public complaints to the relevant agency or OPD based on the complaint problem who entered NTB Care.

Abstract

This studyaims to evaluate the quality of dialogic communication on university library websites and its correlation with students’ scientific information-seeking behaviour during the Covid-19 outbreak. Internet services that organizations frequently use for communicating with their audiences can provide discussion forum services. The university library’s management can investigate their students’ novel ideas, needs, and doubts through dialogic communication, so it will activate and enhance the intellectual power. This research proposed dialogic communication from a sample of 171 undergraduate and graduate students from four countries, China, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Malaysia. Data was obtained by an online survey. The results confirm that during the outbreak, the library websites have implemented the principles of dialogic communication. There is a significant correlation between dialogic communication and scientific information-seeking behaviour except for Chinese students. Library websites can serve as an effective conduit for engaging students in seeking scientific information for academic works. Students stated that e-learning increases their satisfaction and commitment to university websites. Lecturers are recommended to develop collaborative activities among students using the library website. Impacts on practice or policy are that website administrators can use dialogic communication to assist students; university top management can assure students’ rights to education; lecturers may use library website facilities to support asynchronous case-based learning.

Abstract

Student delinquency is a form of student behaviour that deviates from school rules. One of them is truant or irregular entry. Skipping behaviour that is left will give a tendency for students to commit other violations such as brawls, using drugs, free sex and others. Monitoring trusting students is not easy because routine communication between parents and the school is needed. This study aims to create a system to facilitate communication between schools and parents by implementing a fire bot telegram using the long polling method. The system is made using Visual Basic 6.0, consisting of two main parts, namely the attendance system and bot telegram management. The attendance system handles student attendance consisting of fingerprint registration and attendance scans, while the telegram bot management handles the sending of attendance information consisting of telegram ID registration, attendance information and permit information. The test results show the process of taking and sending information via telegram bot runs fast, in the test register of the parent telegram ID the time required is an average of 5.6 seconds, sending scanned student attendance information 4.25 seconds and sending permit information on average 7, 07 seconds.

Abstract

Almost all higher education information systems in Indonesia have experienced a problem. The challenge of university data management systems is how to integrate data subsystems in the university's internal environment. This can hinder the process of continuing the university's services. Higher education information systems usually include academic, financial, teaching staff, and graduate information systems. Not all universities have integrated the information system sub-sub. As a result, data duplication and data are out of sync. Data is essential in universities because every year, universities have to manage the data of thousands of students. For this reason, an integrated higher education information system is needed. The research method used in this article is a qualitative descriptive method by describing the facts that occurred. The author uses data collection techniques to study literature by looking for relevant and reliable references. After the authorities were collected, the writer analyzed the data qualitatively. At the end of this article, the author provides a solution to integrate higher education information systems.
