Abstract

Small and medium-scale food industries, despite their crucial role in regional economic development, face significant challenges related to hygiene, inefficiency, and process waste. This study, based on three case studies from IKM Kerupuk Janek Arsyila, IKM Kerupuk Buk Ita, and UMKM Kue Bawang Medan “Rizka” in West Sumatra, identifies key issues such as inefficient layouts, weather dependency, lack of standardized procedures, and low adherence to cleanliness standards. The study integrates Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for hygiene evaluation and Lean Manufacturing tools—such as Waste Assessment Model (WAM), Value Stream Mapping (VSM), VALSAT, and fishbone diagrams—to identify and reduce waste. Additionally, Information Technology (IT) is introduced as an enabler to strengthen monitoring, data collection, and documentation. Simple digital tools such as production dashboards, mobile-based hygiene checklists, and IoT-assisted sensors can facilitate real-time supervision and improve GMP compliance. Findings reveal that dominant wastes include transportation, motion, defects, and waiting, with initial Process Cycle Efficiency (PCE) ranging from 41% to 65%. After improvements involving layout redesign, drying machines, digital recordkeeping, and the 5S principles, PCE increased to 81%–95%. This study demonstrates that the integration of Lean–GMP and digital tools can significantly enhance production efficiency, hygiene standards, and sustainability in Indonesian food SMEs.

Abstract

The application of ANOVA's P-Value-based feature selection method, namely the F-test, in phishing detection with the Random Forest algorithm indicates that a configuration of 25 features yields the quickest inference time, rendering it appropriate for scenarios demanding great computational efficiency and responsiveness. However, if the user's primary priority is to achieve the highest level of detection accuracy, the 29-feature configuration is more feasible because it exhibits higher accuracy performance and better prediction stability. Consequently, there is no definitive trade-off between 25 or 29 features, there exists a selection of solutions that can be tailored to the application's requirements. This methodology enables users to achieve an optimal equilibrium between superior performance and minimal inference time in a phishing detection system, contingent upon the implementation context and operational priorities. This study successfully shows that a simple statistical approach such as P-Value is not only competitive but also provides superior results compared to more complex methods, offering a practical and efficient solution for real-world implementation.

Abstract

Abstract

Financial management is a core subject of the study program that must be mastered by students of the Sharia Financial Management study program. This course presents material about financial management in theory. Based on the results of initial observations that have been made, Sharia Financial Management students have not even tried to directly practice financial management using an information system in managing finances. This happens because several existing financial management information systems are closed systems so students cannot access the system. Therefore, this study proposes a financial management information system with the support of IoT technology as a simulation or practice medium for Sharia Financial Management study program students. The proposed method in this study uses Waterfall model. Based on the average value of TAM analysis, it is 81.72%, where this value is included in the Very Good for use to strengthen the Financial Literacy of Sharia Financial Management students.

Abstract

The implementation of Hospital Management Information Systems (SIMRS) in Indonesia, mandated by the Ministry of Health, reflects the country's digital transformation in healthcare particularly in managing electronic medical records (EMRs), operational efficiency, and patient data security. This study aims to develop a privacy risk governance framework by integrating three key references: COSO Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) 2017, ISO/IEC 27701:2019, and Indonesia’s Personal Data Protection (PDP) Law No. 27/2022. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with five key stakeholders and analyzed thematically. Five major themes emerged: (1) Governance and Leadership in Privacy Risk, (2) Privacy Risk Identification and Assessment, (3) Privacy Controls and Operational Safeguards, (4) Monitoring and Incident Management, and (5) Legal and Regulatory Compliance. The study identified fragmented privacy practices, weak governance structures, and limited awareness of privacy obligations. To address these gaps, a phased improvement plan is proposed—starting with the appointment of a Data Protection Officer (DPO), the development of privacy-related standard operating procedures (SOPs), and the implementation of privacy impact assessments. These steps are designed to improve digital maturity and regulatory alignment. The proposed governance model is adaptable and scalable for other hospitals in Indonesia facing similar challenges. Ultimately, this framework contributes to enhancing patient safety, ensuring data protection, and supporting a sustainable digital health transformation.

Abstract

This study addresses the persistent issue of construction project delays in Indonesia, proposing information technology (IT) adoption and strategic partnerships as key solutions to enhance project performance. Despite substantial infrastructure investment through the Proyek Strategis Nasional (PSN) program, construction delays remain a critical challenge, which cause cost overruns and suboptimal development outcomes. The research objective is to examine how IT adoption and strategic partnerships influence project performance, both directly and indirectly through supply chain integration, within state-owned construction enterprises (BUMN). The study employed a quantitative approach using questionnaires distributed through purposive sampling to 160 managers in five major construction BUMNs, followed by instrument testing using Smart PLS 4.1.1.4 software, including Outer Model Test, Inner Model Test, General Bias Test, and Hypothesis Test. The results demonstrate that: (a) Information Technology Adoption positively and significantly affects Supply Chain Integration ( -value = 4.592, -value = 0.000); (b) Strategic Partnership positively and significantly affects Supply Chain Integration ( -value = 6.501, -value = 0.000); (c) Information Technology Adoption positively and significantly affects Project Performance ( -value = 3.662, -value = 0.000); (d) Strategic Partnership has a negative and insignificant effect on Project Performance ( -value = 0.561, -value = 0.575); (e) Supply Chain Integration positively and significantly affects Project Performance ( -value = 5.379, -value = 0.000). The mediation analysis reveals that Supply Chain Integration serves as a critical mediating mechanism through which both IT adoption and strategic partnerships indirectly enhance project performance. These findings contribute to supply chain management theory by demonstrating that technological and relational capabilities must be integrated through supply chain processes to achieve optimal project outcomes.

Abstract

The use of social media by the police is part of the transformation of policing functions in a digital era rule of law state. This study aims to analyse the use of cyberspace by the police in strengthening community participation in maintaining security and public order (harkamtibmas) from the perspective of cyber criminology and the protection of citizens' rights. This study uses a mixed method with an empirical juridical approach through interviews, legal documentation studies, and quantitative surveys conducted in four regional police areas. The results show that social media has functioned as an instrument of public service and digital community participation, but there is still a gap between the police response in cyberspace and the substantive response in the field. This condition has implications for public service accountability and has the potential to cause maladministration. In addition, digital interactions between the police and the community place the police as controllers of personal data, while the operational mechanisms for managing personal data have not been adequately regulated. This study concludes that digital policing must be positioned as a legal practice subject to the principles of legality, accountability, and protection of human rights, and requires the strengthening of an operational regulatory framework in order to optimise public order and security based on public participation.
