Abstract

The e-commerce industry in Indonesia, particularly in the health sector such as multivitamin, has experienced significant growth in recent years. E-commerce platforms like Shopee leverage consumer data to offer personalized product recommendations, including in the multivitamin category. While this personalization strategy can enhance the shopping experience, concerns regarding consumer privacy, especially for health-related products, pose a major challenge. This study aims to identify the factors influencing consumers' willingness to accept personalized communication on e-commerce platforms, focusing on five key variables: perceived benefits, perceived risks, trust, privacy policy transparency, and data usage context. The study employs multiple linear regression to analyze the simultaneous and partial effects of these variables on consumers' decisions to share personal data. The results indicate that the data usage context variable has a significant partial effect, while the other variables do not show significant individual effects. However, all five independent variables collectively have a significant impact on consumers' willingness to accept personalized communication. These findings provide valuable insights for e-commerce practitioners in designing effective personalization strategies, while ensuring consumer privacy is safeguarded. Furthermore, the study contributes to privacy protection policies, particularly in the e-commerce context, by emphasizing the importance of transparency and trust in maintaining a healthy relationship between platforms and consumers.

Abstract

Biodiversity monitoring in tropical regions is often constrained by limited field survey coverage and fragmented data. This study develops a spatial information system that integrates field data collected through an Android application, citizen science contributions from iNaturalist, and environmental indicators such as the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and land cover. The integration process employs a spatial database and ETL mechanisms for data normalization, quality validation, and spatial joins with raster data. The implementation results demonstrate that the system is capable of displaying biodiversity distribution in an integrated interactive map. Although citizen science data provide significant contributions, challenges remain in terms of data quality, participation bias, and the protection of sensitive species. With appropriate methodological approaches, this system has the potential to serve as a supporting tool for biodiversity monitoring and data-driven conservation planning.

Abstract

This study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the budgetary slack phenomenon. The method used is a systematic literature review (SLR) of 100 journal articles published in Scopus-indexed journals (Q2–Q4) and Sinta 2 to Sinta 4 during the period 2016–2025. The results of the study indicate that agency theory is the most dominant theoretical framework used, while asymmetry information has been shown to increase the tendency of budgetary slack. Conversely, the influence of budget target clarity and budget participation still produces diverse and inconsistent findings. The differences in research results are thought to be influenced by the organizational context, the research period, and the measurement instruments used. The novelty of this study lies in the use of organizational commitment as a moderating variable. The literature shows that organizational commitment has been shown to weaken the positive effect of asymmetry information and strengthen the positive effect of budget target clarity and budget participation in reducing budgetary slack.

Abstract

This study looks at how sharing information and working together in the supply chain affect the performance of small and medium herbal businesses in Batam. It also explores how innovation ability plays a middle role in this relationship. The research used a quantitative method by giving questionnaires to 198 herbal businesses in Batam and analyzing the results using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling. The results show that information sharing has a significant positive effect on both performance and innovation capability. In contrast, supply chain collaboration and innovation capability do not significantly influence performance, and innovation capability does not mediate the relationship between information sharing or supply chain collaboration and performance. These findings highlight the importance of information sharing in enhancing competitiveness, while collaboration and innovation still require further optimization. Practically, enterprises are encouraged to adopt digital platforms for information sharing and strengthen strategic cooperation with suppliers, while government support is needed through technology and innovation training. This study is limited to Batam with cross-sectional data, suggesting that future research should examine external factors such as digitalization and global market dynamics.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of Sharia Accounting Information System (SAIS) quality on the financial performance of Islamic financial institutions, considering customer trust and Sharia compliance as mediating variables. Using a quantitative explanatory design, data were collected from respondents representing managers, accounting staff, internal auditors, and active customers of Islamic financial institutions across Indonesia. The data were analyzed using SEM–PLS. The results demonstrate that SAIS quality positively and significantly affects financial performance, both directly and indirectly, through the mediating roles of customer trust and Sharia compliance. High-quality SAIS enhances information accuracy, timeliness, reliability, and integrity, thereby improving transparency, operational efficiency, and compliance with Islamic principles. Furthermore, customer trust strengthens institutional credibility, while adherence to Sharia principles reinforces ethical governance and social legitimacy, ultimately driving financial sustainability. This study contributes to the literature by integrating technological and spiritual dimensions into the Islamic financial performance model. It also extends the DeLone and McLean Information System Success framework by embedding faith-based constructs. The findings also provide practical insights for managers and regulators to improve digital governance and reinforce Sharia-compliant information systems in achieving competitive advantage and sustainable performance within the Islamic finance industry.

Abstract

This study aims to design an information system for the long-term storage of outpatient medical records in hospitals, focusing on improving data management efficiency, especially in retrieving inactive records. The research method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and literature reviews. The software development process adopts the V-Model method, which emphasizes verification and validation at each development stage. The main problem identified in the long-term storage process is the manual classification of active and inactive records, which is done by checking the patient's last visit date one by one. This manual process is considered inefficient, time-consuming, and potentially disruptive to effective medical record management. To address this issue, the study proposes the design of an application that systematically manages inactive medical records in a computerized manner. This system is expected to help hospitals optimize time and resources, as well as support digital-based data storage policies. By implementing this information system, medical record management can become more structured, efficient, and accurate, ultimately enhancing the quality of health information services in hospitals.

Abstract

User satisfaction is a critical indicator for evaluating the performance of healthcare facilities, particularly as public expectations increasingly emphasize service quality, clear procedures, and accessible information. However, evidence on how these factors jointly shape satisfaction in healthcare settings remains important to clarify. Objective: This study aims to analyze the influence of service quality, service delivery procedures, and ease of access to information on satisfaction with the experience of using healthcare facilities. Methods: A quantitative survey approach was employed. Data were collected through questionnaires from 60 respondents who had previously used healthcare facilities. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression to examine both partial and simultaneous effects among variables. Findings: The results show that service quality has a positive and significant effect on satisfaction (t = 3.075; p = 0.003). Service delivery procedures also have a positive and significant effect (t = 3.886; p = 0.002). In addition, ease of access to information has a positive and significant effect on satisfaction (t = 3.718; p = 0.000). Simultaneously, the three variables significantly influence satisfaction (F = 43.964; p = 0.000). Implications: These findings suggest that healthcare facilities can enhance user satisfaction by strengthening service quality, improving and standardizing service procedures, and ensuring information systems are clear, responsive, and easy to access supporting practical improvements in service management and information governance. Originality: This study contributes empirically by integrating service quality, service procedures, and information accessibility within a single model to explain user satisfaction in healthcare facilities, providing added value for user-oriented service improvement initiatives.
