Abstract

Background: The widespread use of the internet among adolescents has transformed how they access health information. However, the abundance of unverified online content poses risks for individuals who lack the skills to assess its credibility. Digital health literacy is therefore essential for enabling adolescents to seek, evaluate, and use health information responsibly. Objectives: This study examined the relationship between digital health literacy and health information–seeking behavior among Indonesian adolescents, providing empirical evidence to inform digital health promotion strategies. Methods: A cross-sectional analytic study was conducted with 524 adolescents aged 12–19 years from five provinces in Indonesia. Data were collected using an online questionnaire comprising the eHealth Literacy Scale (eHEALS) and a Health Information–Seeking Behavior (HISB) instrument developed by the researchers. Descriptive statistics were used to profile respondents, and Spearman’s rank correlation was applied to assess the relationship between variables. Results: Overall, 38.2% of adolescents demonstrated high, 46.7% moderate, and 15.1% low digital health literacy. Adolescents with higher literacy levels exhibited more active and critical health information–seeking behavior, including more frequent use of credible sources, information verification, and appropriate application of information in decision-making. A significant positive correlation was found between digital health literacy and health information–seeking behavior (ρ = 0.307; p = 0.007), indicating that digital health literacy substantially influences adolescents’ engagement with online health information. Conclusion: Digital health literacy plays an important role in shaping adolescents’ health information–seeking behavior. Abstract

Background: Access to health information remains a major challenge for the Deaf community in Indonesia due to the limited availability of inclusive and accessible media. Existing health information materials rarely use sign language and often rely on written or spoken formats that many Deaf individuals find difficult to fully understand. As a result, the Deaf community faces greater vulnerability to chronic diseases and mental health problems. This study aimed to contribute to the development of inclusive health information for the Deaf community in Yogyakarta by examining their lived experiences and identifying their needs and preferences in accessing health information through a salutogenic lens. Methods: A qualitative design was employed, involving in-depth interviews with four Deaf participants who were actively engaged in local Deaf communities. The interviews were conducted with the assistance of a sign language interpreter and were thematically analyzed using the salutogenic model. Member checking and peer debriefing were applied to enhance data validity. Results: The study identified substantial barriers to accessing health information, such as limited use of sign language, advanced or technical language in media, and the lack of subtitles or interpreters in videos. Social media emerged as the primary channel for accessing health information, with participants strongly preferring visual formats that combined sign language interpreters, subtitles, and engaging visuals. Reproductive health and mental health were identified as the most needed and relevant topics for the Deaf community. Conclusion: The findings highlight the urgent need to develop inclusive health information media that are tailored to the communication needs of Deaf individuals. Actively involving the Deaf community in the design and dissemination of health information helps create an enabling and inclusive environment that supports a salutogenic approach. Such efforts can reduce information inequities, improve health literacy, and ensure that health promotion strategies are accessible, relevant, and meaningful for Deaf communities.

Abstract

This article describes and examines issues related to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE Law) and its amendments, which were introduced with the aim of ensuring legal certainty for people conducting electronic transactions. The focus of this article is to examine the drafting of the ITE Law as stipulated in Law Number 12 of 2011, the application of principles in the drafting of the ITE Law, and the normative and implementative problems after the enactment of the ITE Law. The research used is normative legal research with a statute approach and conceptual approach. The legal materials in this study are divided into two categories, namely primary legal materials and secondary legal materials. The results of the study show that even though the formulation of the ITE Law is in accordance with the laws and regulations, its implementation still has many problems due to the non-implementation of several formal principles of the law and the large number of phrases with unclear boundaries.

Abstract

More than half of the mental health problems that impact one-third of individuals with diabetes mellitus go undiagnosed. Stress has an effect on physical health in addition to upsetting the mind. Distorse is e-learning about respondents' mental health and e-health in the form of mobile health (which includes apps, technology, and health resources). The early diagnosis approach for depressed conditions experienced by individuals with diabetes mellitus undergoing treatment has been modernized with the Sobat Antasari method. The purpose of this study is to keep people with diabetes mellitus mentally healthy and lower their depression levels. The 66 respondents in this quasi-experimental study were split into two (two) groups using proportional random sampling, and the study included a pretest-posttest design with a control group. The depression anxiety stress scales (DASS), an internationally validated questionnaire, are the instrument utilized in this study. With a p-value of 0.036, the study's findings demonstrated that the Early Detection of Fatality Caused by Diabetes Mellitus intervention group was impacted by efforts to employ Distorse media. This demonstrates that the degree of depression before and after the use of book media and Distorse applications differs significantly. However, with a p-value of 0.299>0.05, the control group, which received simply mental health book media, did not show any significant evaluation outcomes. The combination intervention of book media and Distorse applications has been shown to be effective in significantly lowering the level of depression in patients with diabetes mellitus.

Abstract

— Digital transformation in the education sector requires institutions to adopt web-based information systems that serve as the backbone of academic and administrative operations. While these platforms improve efficiency and accessibility, they also introduce a growing number of cyber threats that may compromise the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of institutional data. This study seeks to identify, analyze, and prioritize information security risks associated with web-based systems at SMKN 7 Tangerang Regency. The research adopts the NIST SP 800-30 framework as the methodological foundation for risk assessment, ensuring a systematic and comprehensive evaluation process. A quantitative approach was implemented by distributing questionnaires to key stakeholders, including administrators, IT staff, and teachers, in order to capture diverse perspectives on vulnerabilities and threats. The results revealed 15 significant risk factors spanning governance, operational, and technical domains. Among these, the absence of a formal information security policy, the lack of data encryption mechanisms, and the absence of continuous monitoring systems were identified as the highest-priority risks, each reaching a risk score of 12. To address these challenges, the study recommends the development of structured mitigation strategies, such as formulating security policies, implementing encryption protocols, and establishing proactive monitoring tools. The contribution of this research lies in producing a scalable risk assessment model that can be applied to other educational institutions. By doing so, it provides practical guidance for decision-makers and educators in creating a more secure, resilient, and trustworthy digital learning environment.
