Abstract

Palm oil is a strategic commodity that is greatly influenced by the efficiency and integration of marketing functions throughout the value chain. This article examines the role of eight marketing functions—purchasing, sales, transportation, storage, financing, risk insurance, quality standardisation and classification, and market information—in maintaining quality and increasing the value of palm oil products through a systematic literature review. The results of the analysis show that each marketing function has a specific contribution, ranging from determining the quality of initial raw materials, maintaining the physical and chemical integrity of products during distribution, to strengthening differentiation and premium pricing through sustainable standards and certification. The integration of these functions has been proven to increase value chain efficiency, shorten marketing channels, and improve the distribution of added value for farmers and other actors along the chain.

Abstract

Efficiency in the context of Accounting Information Systems (AIS) is the ability of a system to process financial data (input) into report information (output) at minimal cost, in the fastest time, and with zero error rate. Currently, 24 regional development banks in Indonesia have digital banking services with transaction volume growth reaching 48.2% year-on-year. This study found that the increase in transaction volume related to teller activities could pose risks. The purpose of this study was to obtain empirical evidence of the influence of accounting information systems, management support, and employee training on transaction process efficiency. This study used a quantitative associative approach. The sampling method used in this study was non-probability sampling with census sampling technique. The research location was at the Bali Regional Development Bank (BPD Bali) Main Branch in Denpasar with 54 employee samples who used AIS in their duties. The test results showed that accounting information systems, management support, and employee training had a positive effect on transaction process efficiency. Theoretically, this study reinforces the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) by proving that accounting information systems, management support, and employee training have a positive effect on transaction process efficiency. Practically, these results recommend that the management of BPD Main Branch Denpasar implement an integrated approach through the optimization of OLIBS features, the allocation of real resources, and continuous training to maximize transaction speed and accuracy.

Abstract

Karangharjo Village, located in Kragan Subdistrict, Rembang Regency, is a community where the majority of residents work as small-scale fishermen using vessels under 5 GT. These fishermen face a high risk of maritime accidents due to a limited understanding of and access to sailing safety technology. Based on a social mapping survey conducted in 2024, the village has 25 fishing groups with a total of 250 fishermen. Every year, maritime accidents occur, resulting in physical disabilities, fatalities, and an increasing number of orphans. Advanced satellite-based safety mitigation and navigation technologies, which are commonly used by larger vessels, are difficult for these small-scale fishermen to access due to informational and economic constraints. The Marine Affairs and Fisheries Agency of Rembang Regency states that 30% of maritime accidents are caused by a lack of information and inadequate navigation devices, a situation worsened by the fishermen's highly fluctuating income. The problems are formulated as follows: how can sailing safety technology be implemented for small-scale fishing groups, and how can an information system workflow be designed for maritime emergencies? The problem-solving approach for this research involves a needs analysis of small-scale fishermen and the development of an information block model for emergency response. Based on these issues, the objectives of this study are to reduce the rate of maritime accidents in Karangharjo Village and to accelerate the handling of emergency situations. This study uses a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative techniques with the Sustainable Livelihood Approach (SLA). The expected outputs of this research are a publication in an accredited international journal and a copyright, falling under the category of Key Performance Indicator (IKU) 5, as research results that are utilized by the community.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of decentralization of decision-making and management information systems on Organizational Citizenship Behavior with organizational culture as an intervening variable on employees of the Pesisir Bukit Sub-district Office in Sungai Penuh City. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method, where all employees were respondents with a sample size of 32 people. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires, while data analysis used validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, and the Sobel test to examine the role of mediating variables. The results of the study indicate that decentralization of decision-making and management information systems have a positive and significant effect on organizational culture. In addition, decentralization of decision-making, management information systems, and organizational culture also have a positive and significant effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior. The results of the Sobel test show that organizational culture is able to significantly mediate the effect of decentralization of decision-making on Organizational Citizenship Behavior, but is unable to significantly mediate the effect of management information systems on Organizational Citizenship Behavior. This finding indicates that the influence of management information systems on OCB is more dominantly direct, while decentralization of decision-making requires the role of organizational culture as a reinforcer. This research is expected to provide practical contributions to human resource management in the public sector and serve as a reference for further research.
