Abstract

The digital transformation of government financial management makes the quality of information systems a critical prerequisite for the accuracy, speed, and accountability of employees’ work. However, in religious-based public institutions, performance is determined not only by technological capacity but also by ethical orientations that shape discipline, trustworthiness, and work responsibility. This study analyzes the influence of the quality of the accounting information system and the Islamic work ethic on the performance of financial staff at Imam Bonjol State Islamic University, Padang. The study employs an explanatory quantitative design using a census approach involving all 35 financial staff members. Data were collected via a questionnaire and analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 3.0. The results show that the quality of the accounting information system has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (β = 0.309; t = 2.167; p = 0.031), while the Islamic work ethic also has a positive and significant effect (β = 0.482; t = 4.153; p < 0.001). These two constructs explain 38.5% of the variation in employee performance. These findings indicate that improving performance in financial units requires a dual intervention: strengthening the reliability and usefulness of the SAKTI system and institutionalizing the values of trustworthiness, discipline, professionalism, and service orientation. The contribution of this study lies in integrating the perspectives of information system success and the Islamic work ethic to explain employee performance in the context of financial management at state-run religious universities.

Abstract

Coastal areas are dynamic transition zones, experiencing continuous physical changes due to the interaction between natural processes and anthropogenic activities. As a coastal area on the north coast of Java, Cirebon City faces serious challenges related to shoreline dynamics influenced by sedimentation, abrasion, infrastructure development, and land use changes. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of shoreline change in Cirebon City during the period 2010–2025 using Geographic Information System (GIS) technology and remote sensing. This study applied a mixed-method approach that integrates spatial quantitative analysis and qualitative descriptive analysis. Multitemporal satellite imagery from Landsat 7 (2010 and 2015) and Sentinel-2 (2020 and 2025) was processed using the Normalized Difference Water Index (NDWI) algorithm to extract shoreline positions. Furthermore, the Digital Shoreline Analysis System (DSAS) method with End Point Rate (EPR) calculations was applied to determine the rate and spatial distribution of abrasion and accretion. The results of the study indicate that the Cirebon City coastline experienced significant spatial changes during the 15 years of observation, with accretion processes dominating most coastal segments. The average rate of shoreline change reached 5.66 meters/year, with the highest accretion rate of 40.95 meters/year and maximum abrasion of -4.63 meters/year. The most prominent changes occurred in Lemahwungkuk District, primarily due to sedimentation processes and anthropogenic activities such as coastal reclamation and port development. These findings confirm that the integration of GIS, remote sensing, and field observations provides an effective approach to monitoring shoreline dynamics and supporting sustainable coastal management planning in urban areas.

Updated information on qualitative leaf anatomical characters of Eusideroxylon zwageri from East Kalimantan, Indonesia. Nusantara Bioscience 17: 322-336. Eusideroxylon zwageri, the sole species of its genus (Eusideroxylon) and one of the most economically and culturally significant timbers of Borneo known as Bornean ironwood or “kayu ulin”, has been extensively studied for its ecology, genetics, and conservation, yet its foliar anatomy remains poorly documented. This study provides an updated qualitative assessment of leaf anatomical characters of E. zwageri based on 66 accessions representing five subpopulations in East Kalimantan, Indonesia. Transverse and paradermal sections of the lamina, midrib, and petiole were prepared following standard microtechnique procedures, and 37 anatomical traits were recorded. The results showed that most foliar anatomical features of E. zwageri are consistent with the Lauraceae family. A single character appears diagnostic for E. zwageri—osteosclereids present in the mesophyll of the lamina. Several anatomical features of E. zwageri indicate functional adaptation, including superficial stomata (related to efficient CO2 intake), sclereids (contributing to the hardness and durability of the wood), oil cell distribution (which helps prevent pest attacks), suggesting functional adaptations related to gas exchange efficiency, mechanical reinforcement, and defense against herbivory. Nevertheless, understanding pronounced lignification of sclerenchyma and sclereids may constrain regeneration, posing challenges for conservation. These updated anatomical data provide a foundation for future taxonomic, ecological, and conservation research, particularly in developing propagation strategies to support large-scale restoration of this Vulnerable species.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas pengembangan Aplikasi Human Resource Information System (HRIS) berbasis web pada Industri Cabling guna mengatasi permasalahan pengelolaan sumber daya manusia yang sebelumnya dilakukan secara manual. Permasalahan yang dihadapi perusahaan antara lain pencatatan presensi yang rawan manipulasi, pengajuan cuti yang tidak terdokumentasi dengan baik, jadwal kerja yang kurang teratur, serta tidak adanya sistem penilaian kinerja yang objektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan membangun sistem informasi yang terintegrasi untuk mendukung aktivitas HRD, meliputi enam modul utama yaitu pengaturan jadwal kerja, pencatatan presensi, pengajuan cuti, penjadwalan pelatihan, pengelolaan data karyawan, dan penilaian kinerja. Metode pengembangan sistem yang digunakan adalah Extreme Programming (XP) dengan empat tahapan utama: planning, design, coding, dan testing. Hasil pengembangan aplikasi  menggunakan metode UAT menunjukkan bahwa seluruh fitur berjalan sesuai kebutuhan pengguna. Implementasi aplikasi HRIS ini berhasil meningkatkan efisiensi pengelolaan SDM, meminimalisir human error, mempercepat proses administrasi, serta membantu manajemen dalam pengambilan keputusan yang lebih cepat dan akurat.

Abstract

The Kudus Branch of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan is a government agency tasked with administering the employment social security program. One crucial operational aspect is the management of office stationery (ATK) inventory to support administrative activities. The current system is still based on manual recording using notebooks and simple spreadsheets, resulting in recurring problems such as recording errors, stock data discrepancies, and slow reporting processes that hamper managerial decision-making. Previous research on web-based inventory information systems has been conducted in the context of manufacturing and financial institutions, but none has specifically accommodated the needs of a layered user hierarchy in an employment social security institution. This study develops a web-based ATK inventory management information system at BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Kudus to fill this gap. The development uses the Waterfall model with stages of needs analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Data were collected through field observations, structured interviews, and documentation studies. The system was built using PHP (Laravel framework) and MySQL. Black box testing of eight functional modules—including login, inventory data management, incoming/outgoing transactions, real-time stock monitoring, and automated reporting—resulted in a 100% success rate with no critical errors found. The system supports a three-level access hierarchy (general users, operational staff, branch managers) that allows for inventory control according to each role. This study proves that a contextually designed web-based information system can significantly improve the efficiency and accuracy of inventory management in a government agency in the social security sector.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the English language needs of Information Technology (IT) students from both linguistic and pedagogical perspectives. The research seeks to identify the students’ specific language requirements and the implications for curriculum design in English for Specific Purposes (ESP). Using a mixed-method approach, data were collected from 80 students of the Information Systems and Technology Program at ITB Semarang through questionnaires, interviews, and document analysis. The findings revealed that reading and writing are the most essential skills for IT students, especially in understanding technical documentation and producing project reports. Students also expressed a strong need for vocabulary enrichment, authentic materials, and digital-based communication practices. The pedagogical implications suggest that ESP instruction should integrate task-based and project-oriented learning, align materials with professional contexts, and emphasize communicative competence in technology-related discourse. Abstract

Limited use of information technology in non-formal education institutions remains a challenge in delivering information to the public. PKBM Mandiri, as the partner in this activity, experienced difficulties in information dissemination, which was still carried out conventionally, resulting in limited service reach. This community service activity aims to improve the capability of administrators in utilizing digital media through website training and implementation. The methods applied include needs identification, website design and development, training implementation, and evaluation. The participants involved were PKBM administrators who directly engaged in the training process. The results indicate an improvement in participants’ understanding and skills in managing the website as an information medium. Furthermore, the website enhances information accessibility, improves communication effectiveness, and supports institutional promotion more efficiently. Overall, this activity contributes positively to improving the quality of digital-based information services at PKBM Mandiri.

Abstract

This research paper examines the influence of six essential information technology factors; human resource capabilities, devices and equipment, communication networks, software applications, databases, and information security on organization performance in the Yemeni Oil Exploration and Production company, a situation that is characterized by political instability and limited resources. By using the constructs of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use of the Theory of Technology Acceptance Model, a cross-sectional survey of 202 employees, who were selected using stratified-random sampling process, was conducted. Questionnaires collected the data and were thoroughly validated and analyzed based on a descriptive analysis, classical assumption test, and multiple regression. Results show that the strongest positive short-term predictors of operational efficiency, speed of decision-making, service quality, and financial results are communication networks (β  =  0.442, p < .001), databases (β  =  0.216, p < .001), and human resource skills (β  =  0.185, p < .001). There is also a positive contribution of software (β = 0.067, p<.01) and information security (β = 0.056, p<.05) and together they explain 68.6% of the variance in performance (Adjusted R²  =  0.686) Devices and equipment, on the contrary, showed a small negative influence (β  =  – 0.078, p < .05) which shows that mere acquisition them without proper planning might not be effective. Such findings highlight the importance of ensuring strong communication infrastructures and user-focused adoption projects within resource-poor, unstable environments and provides easily applied advice on IT investment and capacity-building projects in such environments.

Abstract

Abstract: Sidapdap Simanosor Village Farmers Group faces challenges in accessing and managing agricultural information efficiently. Limited resources and the absence of a web-based platform hinder the distribution of information quickly and accurately. This study aims to develop a technology-based agricultural forum site to improve the accessibility of information for farmer groups. The method used is the Waterfall software development model, which includes needs analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The results of the study indicate that the agricultural forum website can function well and provide convenience for farmer group members in accessing information, sharing experiences, and increasing collaboration between farmers. The implementation of this information technology has been proven to increase the efficiency of the agricultural information system, support sustainable agricultural practices, and encourage the growth of the agricultural sector in the area.Keywords: farmer groups, agricultural information systems, agricultural websites. Abstract: Kelompok Tani Desa Sidapdap Simanosor menghadapi tantangan dalam mengakses dan mengelola informasi pertanian secara efisien. Keterbatasan sumber daya dan tidak adanya platform berbasis web menghambat distribusi informasi yang cepat dan akurat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan situs forum pertanian berbasis teknologi guna meningkatkan aksesibilitas informasi bagi kelompok tani. Metode yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan perangkat lunak Waterfall, yang meliputi analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, implementasi, pengujian, dan pemeliharaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa situs web forum pertanian dapat berfungsi dengan baik dan memberikan kemudahan bagi anggota kelompok tani dalam mengakses informasi, berbagi pengalaman, serta meningkatkan kolaborasi antarpetani. Implementasi teknologi informasi ini terbukti meningkatkan efisiensi sistem informasi pertanian, mendukung praktik pertanian berkelanjutan, serta mendorong pertumbuhan sektor pertanian di daerah tersebut.Keywords: kelompok tani, sistem informasi pertanian, situs web pertanian.

Abstract

Abstract: In the digital information era, Steganography is a technique and art of hiding digital information and data behind other digital information, so that the real digital information is not visible. This study discusses the application of the Least Significant Bit (LSB) technique in steganography to hide information in image media. The LSB technique allows the insertion of secret messages into images by utilizing the least significant bits of the image pixels, so that the changes that occur are invisible to the human eye and do not arouse suspicion. This study explores the effectiveness of the LSB technique in maintaining data confidentiality, as well as analyzing image quality after information insertion. The results of the study indicate that the LSB technique can be used effectively to hide information without sacrificing the visual quality of the image, making it an attractive solution in the field of data communication security. In addition, this study also discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the LSB technique, as well as the possibility of developing this technique to improve data security in various applications.Keywords: data security; least significant bit (LSB) technique; steganography. Abstrak: Di era informasi digital, Steganografi merupakan teknik dan seni menyembunyikan informasi dan data digital di balik informasi digital lainnya, sehingga informasi digital yang sebenarnya tidak terlihat. Penelitian ini membahas penerapan teknik Least Significant Bit (LSB) dalam steganografi untuk menyembunyikan informasi di dalam media gambar. Teknik LSB memungkinkan penyisipan pesan rahasia ke dalam gambar dengan memanfaatkan bit paling signifikan dari piksel gambar, sehingga perubahan yang terjadi tidak terlihat oleh mata manusia dan tidak menimbulkan kecurigaan. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi efektivitas teknik LSB dalam menjaga kerahasiaan data, serta menganalisis kualitas gambar setelah penyisipan informasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknik LSB dapat digunakan secara efektif untuk menyembunyikan informasi tanpa mengorbankan kualitas visual gambar, menjadikannya solusi yang menarik di bidang keamanan komunikasi data. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga membahas kelebihan dan kekurangan teknik LSB, serta kemungkinan pengembangan teknik ini untuk meningkatkan keamanan data di berbagai aplikasi.Kata Kunci: keamanan data; teknik least significant bit (LSB); steganografi.
