Abstract

Abstract

Advances in information and communication technology have brought about significant changes in the use of social media as a means of communication and information exchange in society. However, these advances have also given rise to new legal issues, particularly regarding the protection of personal data and the manipulation of digital information. This study aims to analyze the forms of legal protection for the personal data of social media users based on Indonesian laws and regulations, as well as to examine the effectiveness of law enforcement against information manipulation from a cyberlaw perspective. The research method used is normative legal research employing both a statutory and a conceptual approach. The results show that legal protection for personal data is regulated by the Electronic Information and Transactions Law and the Personal Data Protection Law, which recognize the right to privacy, the obligations of data controllers, and administrative and criminal sanctions for personal data violations. However, implementation still faces various obstacles, such as low levels of digital literacy among the public and limited oversight. Meanwhile, law enforcement against information manipulation on social media has not been effective due to limitations in legal substance, the capabilities of law enforcement officials, and technological challenges such as deepfakes and the borderless nature of the internet. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen regulations, enhance the capacity of law enforcement officials, and improve the public’s digital literacy to create more effective legal protection in the digital age.

Abstract

In the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry, the return of products to the warehouse is often an unplanned occurrence with an uncertain quantity, but the academic research on this is still not as advanced as the practice. Previous research is contradictory about the effect of return volume uncertainty, return information quality, and return decision quality on the operational performance of a warehouse, and the link between those variables through the reverse process effectiveness is not yet conclusively proven, particularly in the FMCG warehouse in Indonesia. In this study, return volume uncertainty, return information quality and return decision quality are directly and indirectly tested for their impacts on warehouse operational performance, while the reverse process effectiveness acts as a mediator. The data was obtained from 138 employees, supervisors, and managers in warehouses at FMCG companies in Indonesia based on cross-sectional survey analysis using the method of Partial Least Squares (PLS) Structural Equation Modeling. Return information quality had a direct impact on warehouse operational performance, whereas return volume uncertainty and return decision quality only had indirect implications when they had an impact on reverse process effectiveness. The novelty here is to demonstrate that the effectiveness of reverse process can serve as the hinge on which the benefits of information quality, decision quality and volume-uncertainty management can become tangible in the warehouse.

Abstract

Burnout in teachers will affect the teacher's mental health condition. Teacher burnout is rarely researched because it affects teacher credibility. Thus, burnout experienced by teachers must be anticipated because it will be detrimental to the teacher himself, the organization, and the students. Teachers’ self-efficacy and ICT competency are thought to influence teacher burnout. Teachers with low self-efficacy and ICT Competence will tend to be susceptible to burnout. The problem formulation in this research is “Do self-efficacy and ICT Competence have a relationship with teacher burnout?”. This research examines the relationship between self-efficacy and ICT Competence and burnout in teachers. The research uses a quantitative design with SPSS-assisted multiple linear regression. The research results showed an influence of self-efficacy on burnout, an influence of information and computer technology competence on burnout, and an influence of self-efficacy and information and computer technology competence on burnout. Researchers discussed and provided in-depth suggestions for this research.

Abstract

This study investigates the effects of digital information technology, digital marketing, and human resource capacity on SME performance in North Sumatera. Although numerous prior studies have examined these variables separately, a significant gap persists regarding their synergistic effects, especially among SMEs in developing regions. To address this gap, the present study developed an integrated model using an explanatory research design. Data were collected through a survey of 232 SMEs that actively adopt digital technology in North Sumatra Province, representing a targeted sample of digitally active small and medium enterprises in a developing region. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) due to its suitability for examining complex relationships in a predictive, non parametric manner with relatively small sample sizes. The results indicate that all three variables exert positive and significant effects on SME performance, with digital marketing emerging as the strongest predictor. These findings underscore the importance of resource integration in enhancing SME competitiveness in emerging economies.

Abstract

Many MSMEs still do not understand the use of digital financial applications as a widespread issue and require optimal implementation of features available in artificial intelligence and machine learning to become drivers of accounting practices. Referring to the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) theory, how someone accepts and uses information technology is influenced by two main factors, namely Perceived Usefulness, namely the belief that the use of technology will improve performance, productivity, effectiveness, and work results, second, perceived ease of use, namely the belief that technology can be used easily without requiring great effort, this requires cloud-based accounting to strengthen digital payments. This study was designed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The empirical results of this study confirm that Cloud accounting has an impact of (β = 0.42) on digital financial applications, followed by Artificial Intelligence (β = 0.35) and Machine Learning (β = 0.28). Digital financial applications have a positive and significant impact on accounting information quality (β = 0.28). This suggests that digital financial applications can improve perceived usefulness and ease of use through automated transaction recording, real-time financial analysis, and fast and accurate financial reporting. These findings demonstrate that technology investment relies heavily on employee understanding and skills to improve organizational performance and enhance collaboration between users. This study has limitations due to its dynamic nature, which follows the development of digital financial applications, which are subject to change along with technological innovation, feature updates, and changes in user behavior, as well as the ability to predict future financial analysis.

Abstract

The integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has become a critical component in vocational education, particularly in enhancing student competencies. This study aims to examine the relationship between ICT integration and student competency at SMK Nurul Ulum. A quantitative correlational design was employed, involving 22 students selected through total sampling. Data was collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using Pearson correlation and simple linear regression techniques. The findings indicated a positive correlation between ICT integration and student competency (r = 0.341); however, this relationship was not statistically significant (p = 0.121). The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.116) showed that ICT integration accounted for 11.6% of the variance in student competency, while the remaining 88.4% was influenced by other factors. The study concludes that ICT integration demonstrates a positive tendency toward improving student competencies, yet its impact is limited and requires reinforcement from pedagogical strategies, teacher digital literacy, and a supportive learning environment.

Abstract

Digital transformation has become a strategic priority for improving governance and accountability in public sector organizations. In regional governments, the implementation of Management Information Systems (MIS) and Digital Asset Management (DAM) is expected to strengthen the effectiveness of regional asset control by improving information quality, administrative efficiency, and organizational transparency. However, empirical evidence regarding the combined influence of these digital capabilities on regional asset governance remains limited, particularly within Indonesian provincial governments. This study therefore investigates the effects of Management Information Systems and Digital Asset Management on the effectiveness of regional asset control in the Government of West Sulawesi Province. A quantitative research design was employed using a cross-sectional survey of 108 employees directly involved in regional asset management, including asset administrators, information system operators, and asset administration officials. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS Statistics. The findings reveal that both Management Information Systems and Digital Asset Management have positive and statistically significant effects on the effectiveness of regional asset control. Management Information Systems improve administrative efficiency, information quality, and decision-making capability, while Digital Asset Management enhances real-time monitoring, information integration, asset security, and reporting efficiency. Furthermore, the two variables jointly explain 59.2% of the variation in regional asset control effectiveness, highlighting the strategic importance of digital transformation in strengthening public asset governance. This study contributes to the literature by extending the application of the Resource-Based View and the Information Systems Success Model to regional government asset management. Practically, the findings provide evidence that integrated digital information systems and digital asset management practices can improve transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency, thereby supporting the implementation of good governance within regional governments.

Abstract

The rapid digital transformation of public administration has improved organizational efficiency while simultaneously increasing concerns regarding the environmental sustainability of information technology utilization. Although governments continue to expand digital governance initiatives, limited attention has been devoted to understanding the behavioral factors that encourage environmentally responsible digital practices among public employees. This study investigates the influence of Ethical Information Technology Use and Green Computing Awareness on Green Digital Behavior among employees of the Government of West Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. This research employed a quantitative explanatory approach using a structured questionnaire distributed to 120 State Civil Apparatus (ASN) selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to evaluate both the measurement model and the structural relationships among the proposed constructs. The findings reveal that both Ethical Information Technology Use and Green Computing Awareness have positive and significant effects on Green Digital Behavior. Green Computing Awareness demonstrates the strongest influence, indicating that employees' understanding of environmentally sustainable computing practices is a key determinant of responsible digital behavior. The structural model explains 58.8% of the variance in Green Digital Behavior, suggesting satisfactory predictive capability. The study contributes to the Green Information Systems literature by extending existing research beyond technological adoption toward individual behavioral determinants within public organizations. The findings also provide empirical support for the Theory of Planned Behavior by demonstrating that employees' ethical responsibility and environmental awareness encourage environmentally sustainable digital practices. From a practical perspective, the study recommends integrating Green IT education, environmental awareness programs, and ethical technology policies into digital government initiatives to support sustainable digital governance.
