Abstract

Academic Information Systems (AIS) play a crucial role in supporting academic activities at universities. However, at STIE Indonesia Pontianak, academic information management is still partially conducted manually and is difficult to access; additionally, some students have low digital literacy, which causes difficulties in using complex systems. This study aims to design a simple and user-friendly AIS interface prototype using a User-Centered Design (UCD) approach within the framework of the Design Science Research Methodology (DSRM). Data collection was conducted through observation using the think-aloud method and interviews. The design outcome, a high-fidelity prototype, was then evaluated using task-based usability testing and the System Usability Scale (SUS). Test results showed that the success rate for the low digital literacy group was 99%, while for the high digital literacy group it reached 100%. SUS scores indicated that the low literacy group received a score of 69 (marginal category), while the high literacy group received a score of 81.4 (acceptable category). These results indicate that the prototype has good usability, but still requires improvement for users with low digital literacy. The resulting prototype can serve as a reference in the development of user-centered AIS.

Abstract

In daily operational activities, Playmania Lippo Plaza Jambi has utilized a computerized system for sales transactions. However, inventory management, petty cash recording, and operational reporting are still managed separately using spreadsheet files, while children’s accident records are documented manually using paper forms. In addition, playtime monitoring is still supported by manual voice announcements through a microphone. These conditions result in inefficient data management and increase the risk of recording errors. This study aims to design and develop a web-based Operational Management Information System for Playmania LPJ using the Waterfall method. The system is developed to integrate sales transactions, inventory management, petty cash recording, incident reporting, and playtime monitoring within a single platform. The implementation process utilizes PHP and MySQL technologies, while system functionality is evaluated using Black Box Testing. The developed system consists of integrated modules for inventory management, customer management, sales transactions, petty cash recording, incident reporting, user management, and real-time playtime monitoring equipped with an automatic voice announcement feature. The test results indicate that all system functions operate according to the expected requirements and successfully support operational activities in a coordinated and efficient manner. Therefore, the proposed system is capable of improving the effectiveness and accuracy of operational data management, facilitating monitoring activities, accelerating report generation, and supporting decision-making processes at Playmania LPJ.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has encouraged government institutions to improve administrative efficiency and public service quality through digital transformation. However, many village administrations still rely on manual data management practices, resulting in inefficient information retrieval, data redundancy, and limited public access to administrative services. This study aims to develop a web-based village administration information system integrated with an Artificial Intelligence (AI) chatbot feature to support administrative management and public information services. The research employed a system development approach consisting of problem identification, literature study, data collection, system analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The system was developed using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL, while the chatbot functionality was implemented through Application Programming Interface (API) integration. The developed system integrates several administrative modules, including employee management, population data management, family card management, correspondence services, statistical information reporting, and AI-based information services. System evaluation was conducted using the Black Box Testing method to verify functional correctness. The testing results showed that all implemented modules operated according to the specified requirements and successfully performed their intended functions. The AI chatbot was able to provide administrative information in real time and support citizen interaction without requiring direct assistance from village officers. The developed system contributes to improving administrative efficiency, facilitating information retrieval, increasing transparency, and supporting the digital transformation of village public services through the integration of administrative management and intelligent information services within a unified web-based platform.

Abstract

Manual and semi-digital cash and medicine-recording processes in community pharmacies create risks of delayed reporting, duplicated entries, stock discrepancies, and weak managerial control. This study examined the implementation of a web-based cash and drug inventory information system at Ayah Bunda Pharmacy, Binjai, North Sumatra, by integrating the DeLone and McLean Information Systems Success Model with a Content Management System perspective. A qualitative case-study design was applied. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, direct observation, and documentation involving the pharmacy owner, administrative personnel, cashiers, and pharmacy staff. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the system provided accessible navigation, adequate speed and stability, integrated transaction and inventory data, responsive technical support, role-based access, and flexible content updating. Information quality was strong for cash and reporting functions but remained dependent on disciplined and complete stock input. Use intensity differed across functions: pharmacy staff used the system routinely, while some cashiers remained in transition from manual routines. Overall, the system improved reporting efficiency, stock visibility, transparency, and data-based decision making. The proposed implementation model emphasizes system integration, user discipline, technical readiness, continuous training, and governance controls as mutually reinforcing conditions for sustainable pharmacy digitalization.

Abstract

The rapid growth of equity crowdfunding in Indonesia has introduced new opportunities for public participation in investment activities while simultaneously creating challenges related to information uncertainty, investor vulnerability, and trust formation. Unlike conventional investment markets, equity crowdfunding involves greater information asymmetry because investors often evaluate privately held businesses with limited operational history and incomplete information. Therefore, mechanisms that enhance information transparency and investor protection are essential to strengthening investor confidence and supporting rational investment decisions. This study aims to examine the influence of information transparency and investor protection on investment decision-making through the mediating role of investor trust in the context of equity crowdfunding in Indonesia. This research employs a quantitative approach using survey data collected from 100 equity crowdfunding investors in Indonesia. Data were gathered through a structured questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 3. The results indicate that information transparency has a positive and significant effect on investor trust, while investor protection demonstrates a stronger positive influence on investor trust. Furthermore, investor trust significantly affects investment decision-making. Information transparency and investor protection also directly influence investment decision-making, with investor trust partially mediating these relationships. The findings demonstrate that transparent information disclosure and effective protection mechanisms are critical factors in reducing uncertainty, strengthening investor confidence, and encouraging participation in equity crowdfunding markets. This study contributes to the fintech and investment behavior literature by highlighting the importance of governance mechanisms in developing a trustworthy and sustainable equity crowdfunding ecosystem in emerging markets such as Indonesia.
