Abstract

This research aims to identify types of media used by the Acehnese people in seeking information about COVID-19, and people’s perceptions and responses to the information that increases their likelihood of the risk of the pandemic. This study employs a quantitative approach, in which an online survey distributed through social media. All 324 respondents gave their consent to participate in filling out the research questionnaire. The study found that Acehnese people prefer online media and television (TV) to receive information about COVID-19, especially when people can access the information online (streaming). The finding indicates that people tend to trust information obtained through the media more than direct information (face to face) conveyed by the government. Regarding the public responses, this study found that most respondents argue the lack of government action in disseminating information about COVID-19.  It is believed that this condition is likely to bring up false information (hoax) from untrustworthy information sources. This response has an impact on the level of public trust towards the government as the main source of information in handling the pandemic. Respondents claim that the local government has a slow response in providing information about people who are infected by the virus, including insufficient information on the intervention of prevention and treatment carried out to stop the spread of the virus.

Abstract

For channel codes in communication systems, an efficient algorithm that controls error is proposed. It is an algorithm for soft decision decoding of block codes. The sufficient conditions to obtain the optimum decoding are deduced so that the efficient method which explores candidate code words can be presented. The information vector of signal space codes has isomorphic coherence. The path metric in the coded demodulator is the selected components of scaled regions. The carrier decision is derived by the normalized metric of synchronized space. An efficient algorithm is proposed based on the method. The algorithm finds out a group of candidate code words, in which the most likely one is chosen as a decoding result. The algorithm reduces the complexity, which is the number of candidate code words. It also increases the probability that the correct code word is included in the candidate code words. It is shown that both the error probability and the complexity are reduced. The positions of the first hard-decision decoded errors and the positions of the unreliable bits are carefully examined. From this examination, the candidate codewords are efficiently searched for. The aim of this paper is to reduce the required number of hard-decision decoding and to lower the block error probability.

Abstract

Implementation of Information Systems in company business processes can increase efficiency and effectiveness. However, without adequate planning in the implementation of Information Systems, the performance can not have the desired impact. Therefore, a strategic plan is needed to implement the Information System aligned with the Company's vision and mission, and objectives. The method used in this research is the Ward and Peppard methodology. The background to the use of the Ward and Peppard methodology in this study is because the Ward and Peppard methodology contains a definitive and complete framework that focuses not only on technology but also on the organization's business needs. The results of this research are application recommendations and an application development roadmap for the next four years. It is hoped that this research can help improve the Company's business processes more effectively and efficiently by improving information management within an organization.

Abstract

Zachman Framework (ZF) and The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) are Architecture Frameworks often used in Architecture Enterprise's implementation. Each side of the two architecture Frameworks has advantages and disadvantages. Sekolah Tinggi Manajemen Informatika dan Komputer Muhammadiyah Paguyangan Brebes (STMIK MPB) is a new university established on April 28, 2017; STMIK MPB as a new university has no plans in building an information system. The research will select the parts that exist in the ZF and TOGAF methodologies. The two methods will be combined and compiled to be applied to the Academic Information System modeling or blended methods. These research results are architectural blueprints that can be used as a reference in the development of academic information systems.

Abstract

SMK XYZ is a vocational high school with approximately 2550 students with various majors and backgrounds, so there are many problems. For subscribers, each student gets a notebook on discipline and order; if a student commits a violation, it will be written by the discipline taught in the book. Furthermore, the counseling guidance teacher, together with the class teacher, conducts coaching; this activity is a manual system that has not been computerized. It hinders the performance of these teachers. From these problems, an order information system's analysis and design are carried out, which can facilitate and accelerate teachers in planning, directing, and monitoring. The SMART method's application to the discipline information system is based on the science of facts, which states a criterion with value; each weighted value can show and reflect comparisons between standards related to planning, direction, and supervision of students carried out by teachers. Subscription to violations using the discipline information system with the SMART method is carried out computerized, including determining sanctions and their actions to support the performance of teachers.

Abstract

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are particularly important for the economy of West Java Province. Accordingly, The Industry and Trade Agency of West Java Province has conducted a number of facilitation programs to support the development of these SMEs. Neverheless, the implementation of facilitation programs is faced with some major problems, for example, the registration system for applying and proposing facilitation programs is still manually managed. As a result, some SMEs do not have the opportunity to propose and receive facilitation programs from the agency in addition to the several serious issues encountered by the agency to evaluate the facilitation programs. This study aims to design a website-based information system of SME development facilitation registration in the Industry and Trade Agency of West Java Province Government, Indonesia. It used the Waterfall method to develop the system. The results suggested that the system can well run as expected. In addition, the result of usability test indicates that the proposed system can be classified as acceptable because its score is 80.4.

Abstract

In the development of information systems, it is very important to pay attention to the quality of the system which can be reviewed through aspects of usability for its users and following the needs and specifications of its users. This study will analyze the quality of the sales order management information system based on two characteristics of the ISO 25010 quality standard system, namely functional suitability and usability. The functional suitability test was carried out by the BlackBox testing method to test three sub-characteristics of functional suitability that are functional completeness, functional correctness, and functional appropriateness. Usability tests use a use questionnaire which is divided into four criteria that are usefulness, ease of use, ease of learning, and satisfaction. In testing the suitability of functionality involving 5 respondents and 17 respondents in usability testing. The results of this study indicate that the sales order management system fulfills two characteristics of information system quality that are functional suitability and usability. Where all the features designed are by the successful features, and the usability characteristics are 85.45% which indicates that the system is very feasible to implement.

Abstract

The widespread drought area in Trenggalek Regency in 2019 needs to be analyzed to reduce negative impacts and as a monitoring tool to anticipate future drought events. The Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI) is a drought analysis method by calculating the rainwater deficit at various time scales used to identify the distribution of drought in Trenggalek Regency. This study using rain data on 13 rain stations for the period 1990-2019 and agricultural production data for 2019. The calculation results show that the highest SPI value occurred in March at the highly wet level with a value of 2.11. The lowest SPI value occurred in May at the extremely dry level with a value of -2.31. The results are then mapped using ArcGIS with the Inverse Distance Weighted (IDW) method to identify the spatial distribution of drought.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh brand familiarity, information quality, involvement on brand’s social media, attitude towards brand social media terhadap future purchase intention pada merek Parasite. Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif yang memiliki tujuan utama untuk mendeskripsikan hal mengenai konsumen, penjual atau karakteristik pasar. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 150 responden dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara purposive. Kriteria yang digunakan untuk pengambilan sampel adalah penguna media sosial Instagram, pernah melihat media sosial Parasite, dan berusia 18-30 tahun. Pengolahan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan SPSS 24. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa brand familiarity serta efek tambahan dari information quality mempengaruhi inolvement on brands social media secara signifikan. Involvement on brand’s social media mempengaruhi attitude towards brands’ social media secara signifikan, namun involement on brand’ social media tidak mempengaruhi future purchase intention secara signifikan. Attitude Towards Brands’ Social Media memperngaruhi Future Purchase Intention secara signifikan.Kata Kunci: Brand Familiarity, Information Quality, Involvement on Brand’s Social Media, Attitude Towards Brand Social Media, Future Purchase Intention

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam manajemen konstruksi sering terjadi pada konstruksi konvensional yaitu keterlambatan yang disebabkan adanya tumpang tindih pengerjaan proyek karena tidak adanya integrasi pekerjaan yang menyeluruh. Integrasi tersebut dapat digambarkan melalui konsep Building Information Modelling (BIM) dengan menggunakan model bangunan tiga dimensi (3D) untuk memperoleh semua gambar proyek yang diperlukan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian simulasi yang dilakukan dengan cara mengolah data gambar dan penjadwalan menjadi model Building Information Modelling (BIM) 4D dengan menggunakan software Tekla Structures 2018 pada Proyek Pembangunan Gedung Laboratorium Vokasi dan Industri Kreatif Tahap 1 Universitas Brawijaya yang selanjutnya akan dianalisis kinerja waktunya secara visual dengan membandingkan kemajuan rencana dan kemajuan realisasi di lapangan dengan melihat deviasi keterlambatan serta menentukan tindakan perbaikan dengan menerapkan Building Information Modelling (BIM) dalam penyelesaian permasalahan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dengan analisis kinerja waktu berbasis BIM, proyek mengalami keterlambatan pada minggu ke-4 dan minggu ke-5 pekerjaan pembangunan, dan percepatan pada minggu ke-6 sampai dengan proyek selesai. Faktor penyebab keterlambatan pada proyek adalah miskordinasi antara konsultan perencana dan pelaksana pada saat pengerjaan strauss pile sehingga tindakan perbaikan dengan BIM yang bisa dilakukan adalah melakukan permodelan kondisi ekstising dan analisa lokasi (Layout) dengan metode fotogameteri pada fase perencanaan, serta melakukan 3D modelling dan Design Review bersama semua stakeholders pada saat fase design dan menerapkan 3D coordination dan pengendalian dan perencanaan 3D pada saat pelaksanaan.
