Abstract

The Village-Level Equivalency Education Program (PAKADES) is an educational management innovation developed by the Tangerang Regency Government to address the challenges of equity and quality improvement in rural education. The program serves as a solution to limited access to formal education by providing non-formal education services that are equivalent in terms of curriculum, learning processes, and recognition of learning outcomes through a community-based approach. This study aims to analyze the forms of educational management innovation within PAKADES and to evaluate its effectiveness as a model of community empowerment. The research employs a qualitative approach through literature review, analysis of regional education policies, and examination of program documents. The findings indicate that PAKADES has a significant positive impact, particularly in increasing educational participation among productive-age communities previously constrained by economic, geographic, and social factors. The program also expands access to education while fostering awareness of the importance of education for improving quality of life. Through the synergy of local government, non-formal education institutions, and village authorities, PAKADES has created an adaptive learning model based on local potential. The program strengthens the role of villages as centers of educational innovation and reflects the government’s commitment to achieving equitable, inclusive, and sustainable education.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to examine the implementation of financial management in higher education institutions, focusing on the revenue management system at the University of Indonesia (UI). Referring to the Consolidated Financial Statements for 2021–2024, UI’s total revenue in 2024 amounted to IDR 3.66 trillion, increasing from IDR 3.40 trillion in 2023, representing a growth of IDR 260 billion or 7.65%. Operational revenue also rose from IDR 2.64 trillion to IDR 2.81 trillion, reflecting an increase of 6.44%. Meanwhile, UI’s endowment fund demonstrated consistent growth, rising from IDR 114.8 billion in 2021 to IDR 136.8 billion in 2024, equivalent to a total increase of 19.16% (an average of 6.4% annually). The endowment’s investment performance achieved an average annual return of 9.8%, exceeding the national inflation rate. These findings indicate that UI’s financial management has been carried out effectively through the application of accountability principles, revenue diversification, and transparent reporting. However, the contribution of non-academic revenue streams still requires enhancement to strengthen long-term financial independence. This study recommends fostering innovation in financial strategies, optimizing productive assets, and strengthening managerial capacity to support the institution’s financial sustainability.

Abstract

This research aimed to explore the stories of students participating in the MBG program at SMPN 19 Surabaya. The MBG program, launched and implemented, focused on increasing nutrient-rich intake for the target students, as well as maintaining healthy bodies so that students' minds remained focused on learning, resulting in strong academic achievement. This research employed a phenomenological approach, drawing on direct accounts from students. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and supporting documents. Informants were selected purposively, and the data was processed using the Miles and Huberman approach. The research found a shift toward positive outcomes, improving the students' well-being. They were encouraged to study harder, and healthy eating habits began to form. However, problems persisted, such as the menu not changing regularly and problems distributing food to students. The students consider the MBG program to be very meaningful and useful, so they see it not only as a matter of food intake but also as a way of creating a more positive atmosphere around them.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies employed by the madrasah principal in developing the research program at MAN 1 Kudus, focusing on three aspects: the implementation of the research program, the leadership strategies of the principal in enhancing the program, and the evaluation of its implementation. This research is a field study using a qualitative approach. The research subjects were selected through purposive sampling to obtain relevant informants. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and validated using source triangulation. The data were analyzed inductively to explore findings in depth. The study shows that the implementation of the research program at MAN 1 Kudus is carried out through the application of management functions, the organization of supervising teachers, and the execution of various research activities. The principal’s strategies in developing the research program include strengthening regulations, improving the capacity of research supervisors, collaborating with universities and research institutions, providing adequate facilities and infrastructure, and publishing achievements to enhance student motivation and the madrasah's image. Evaluation is conducted through regular coordination meetings, which are then used as the basis for program improvement and enhancing the quality of students' research outputs. This research offers a new contribution in the form of a strategic model for developing research programs based on madrasah leadership, integrating management functions, institutional collaboration, and a culture of publication.

Abstract

One manifestation of digitalization within the educational sector is the integration of Learning Management Systems (LMS) into the instructional process. This study aims to synthesize and map the literature on the supporting factors for the successful implementation of LMS. The research employs a scoping review approach, with article selection conducted in accordance with the PRISMA 2020 framework. Based on 14 articles that met the predefined inclusion criteria, five critical success factors for LMS implementation in schools were identified: (1) leadership and institutional management; (2) infrastructure and facilities; (3) teacher acceptance and competence; (4) parental and student support; and (5) school climate. These five factors are pivotal and intrinsically interconnected. The school principal's leadership serves as the primary catalyst for ensuring the sustainability of LMS implementation. Furthermore, teacher competence must be optimized through professional development and balanced by a supportive school climate. Additionally, parental participation and student enthusiasm constitute significant facilitators in the implementation process. These findings imply that an LMS provides schools with the opportunity to transition toward a digital ecosystem by prioritizing school climate, establishing clear LMS policies through effective leadership, and engaging both parents and students to ensure the success of the pedagogical process.

Abstract

Although performance evaluation and curriculum implementation are crucial elements in educational transformation, practices in the field often face obstacles such as educators’ limited technological skills and a lack of innovation in evaluation models tailored to Islamic educational institutions. This study aims to evaluate performance assessment at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Falah to identify the quality of education and identify best practices that can serve as a model for educational quality improvement. The research method employed was a qualitative approach using a case study design, in which data were collected through in-depth interviews, passive participatory observation, and document analysis, which were then analyzed using an interactive model. The results indicate that the quality of education falls into the “good” category as assessed by organizational governance, public relations management, and student services. Key findings reveal the innovation of the Love-Based Curriculum as an internal curriculum integrated with the Merdeka Curriculum to strengthen character education through the values of compassion, empathy, and religiosity. Additionally, best practices were identified in the form of deep, student-centered learning transformation grounded in the pillars of awareness, meaningfulness, and a pleasant atmosphere.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of English language learning and the role of social capital as a strategy for economic development in Liang Pemantang Tourism Village (Lau Mentar). Limited English communication skills among local communities remain a major challenge in improving service quality and competitiveness in rural tourism destinations. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. The participants included tourism village managers, English learning facilitators, micro and small enterprise actors, and members of tourism awareness groups. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, and were analyzed using an interactive thematic analysis technique. The findings reveal that participatory, contextual, and practice-based management of English language learning enhances community confidence in communicating with international tourists. The effectiveness of the program is strongly supported by social capital, particularly trust, social networks, and norms of mutual cooperation, which encourage active participation and sustainability. The novelty of this study lies in integrating English language learning management and social capital within the framework of community-based rural tourism economic development.

Abstract

Literacy is related to school life, as seen from the meaning of literacy itself. A simple definition of literacy is understanding or literacy. This study aims to determine the effect of the “Nelita Classmeeting Career” program implementation on increasing student literacy at SMA Negeri 6 Tangerang Selatan. The study used a qualitative approach with direct observation techniques and interviews to obtain a realistic picture of the effectiveness of the program in building students’ interest in reading and career insights. Observation results indicate that the integration of career-path concepts into classmeeting activities can create an interactive and enjoyable learning atmosphere. The availability of literacy materials relevant to the world of work and creative delivery methods contribute positively to students’ enthusiasm in seeking information. Students appear more active in discussing and looking for references regarding their future career choices. These findings confirm that school program innovations such as Nelita Classmeeting Career are important instruments in strengthening literacy culture while providing professional orientation for students at the upper secondary level.

Abstract

Dayah, as a traditional Islamic educational institution in Aceh, faces challenges in manual administration, including documentation, reporting, data management of students and teachers, as well as academic and financial information systems. This study aims to analyze the application of information technology in the digitization of dayah administration and identify its impact on the effectiveness and efficiency of administrative management at Dayah Babussalam Al-Hanafiyah. Through a qualitative approach using case study methods, this study shows that the application of information technology includes a database management system for students and teachers, integrated academic and financial information applications, and a digital documentation and reporting system. The implementation faced obstacles in the form of limited human resources, infrastructure, and resistance to change, but it succeeded in improving administrative efficiency by reducing processing time from 2-3 weeks to 2-3 days, increasing data accuracy through automatic validation, and improving management transparency. The digitization of administration through the application of information technology has proven to be effective in improving the quality of dayah management, with the caveat that ongoing training, adequate infrastructure support, and the commitment of all stakeholders to the sustainability of the system are necessary.

Abstract

jective: This study explores the transformation of academic supervision through the internalization of Islamic management values and its implications for organizational culture and educational effectiveness in modern Islamic boarding schools, which stand between traditional pesantren values and contemporary educational management demands. Methods: This research employed a qualitative approach with an interpretive case study design. Data were collected through document analysis, including supervision policies, academic guidelines, evaluation instruments, supervision reports, follow-up action plans, and meeting minutes related to supervisory practices. The documents were analyzed using reflective thematic analysis to identify patterns of meaning and value dynamics shaping academic supervision at the institutional level. Results: The findings reveal four main themes: a shift from administrative compliance to institutional trust (amanah), shura as a dialogic yet negotiated supervisory practice, ‘adl as ethical justice between standardization and contextual sensitivity, and ihsan as an orientation toward sustainable quality improvement accompanied by institutional tension. Academic supervision thus emerges not merely as a technical procedure, but as a social and cultural process shaped by value negotiation, power relations, and organizational identity. Novelty: This study conceptualizes Islamic management values not only as normative leadership principles, but also as socially constructed practices embedded in supervisory documents and organizational culture.
