Abstract

This study aims to analyse social capital-based educational leadership strategies in improving the culture of educational quality. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature review design. Data collection was conducted through literature study, then analysed using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and thematic conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that social capital-based leadership strategies are realised through: (1) strengthening internal collaboration between teachers and educational staff through learning communities and joint reflection; (2) instilling quality values and organisational norms in the form of collective commitment and mutual cooperation; (3) active involvement of parents and strengthening the role of school committees; and (4) developing external partnerships to expand support networks and resources. These strategies strengthen the structural, relational, and cognitive dimensions of social capital, which have an impact on increasing organisational cohesion, trust, participation, and consistency in the application of quality standards. The research findings confirm that social capital-based educational leadership is capable of transforming a culture of quality from a mere administrative requirement into a collective value that is internalised in the daily practices of the school. The implications of this research emphasise the importance of the headteacher as an agent of social relations and an orchestrator of collaboration in creating a sustainable, adaptive, and participatory culture of quality.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the management of students in developing extracurricular activities in private aliyah madrasah Ainul Yaqin, Jambi City and identify inhibiting factors in its implementation. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive method, because it aims to obtain an in-depth picture of the process of managing students in extracurricular activities. The data collection techniques used include interviews, observations, and documentation involving the head of the madrasah, deputy head of the madrasah, extracurricular coaches, and students. The results of the study show that the management of participants in developing extracurricular activities is carried out through the planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation stages that are adjusted to the conditions of the madrasah. Although extracurricular activities have been running, in their implementation there are still several obstacles, especially limited funds and supporting facilities and infrastructure, which have an impact on the smooth and consistent implementation of several extracurricular activities. However, the madrasah still strives to maintain the sustainability of extracurricular activities through support from the foundation, cooperation with students' parents, and utilizing the available facilities so that extracurricular activities continue to run and function as a means of developing students' interests and talents.

Abstract

The phenomenon shows that some students do not have the ability to read the Qur'an according to the rules of tajweed and are not able to internalize the values of the Qur'an in controlling emotions and academic behavior. This condition is influenced by the heterogeneity of initial abilities, the limitation of the duration of coaching, and the implementation of the Ma'had Al-Jami'ah Program which runs in parallel with lectures. This situation requires a comprehensive evaluation to assess the effectiveness of the program in strengthening Qur'an literacy and students' emotional intelligence. A mixed methods approach with a concurrent embedded design is used, with qualitative data as the main data and quantitative data as support. The evaluation was carried out using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, and Product) model to assess the relevance of policies, resource readiness, implementation dynamics, and overall program outcomes. The results show that the program is conceptually aligned with the needs of students and the vision of Islamic education. The implementation of the program is able to improve basic tahsin skills, worship habits, discipline, and emotional calm. However, the achievement of Qur'an literacy is not evenly distributed, especially in the aspect of fluent reading and understanding of the meaning of verses, due to differences in initial abilities and limited coaching time. The affective and spiritual aspects show stronger achievements than the cognitive aspects.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of educational institution marketing strategies in attracting new students at Raudhatul Mujawwidin Islamic Boarding School, Rimbo Bujang District, Tebo Regency, Jambi Province. The approach used in this research is a descriptive approach with a qualitative method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used in this study include data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing (verification). The results of this study indicate that the implementation of educational institution marketing strategies in attracting new students at Raudhatul Mujawwidin Islamic Boarding School has been carried out well, as seen from the implementation process. The marketing strategies applied include mujahadah, maximizing the role of alumni, students’ parents, and community leaders as indirect promotional media, actively conducting socialization with the community, utilizing simple media, and improving service quality. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors in attracting new students at Raudhatul Mujawwidin Islamic Boarding School consist of internal and external factors. External factors include parents’ concerns regarding issues of bullying in Islamic boarding schools. Internal factors include a lack of understanding or concern from within Raudhatul Mujawwidin itself.

Abstract

Cyberbullying is one of the serious issues in the field of education that significantly impacts students’ psychological, social, and academic well-being. Along with the increasing use of digital technology, schools are required to develop systematic and sustainable prevention strategies. This study aims to comprehensively examine cyberbullying prevention strategies discussed in various studies and to analyze how these strategies can strengthen the role of school counselors. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review by examining relevant scientific articles that were systematically selected based on specific criteria. The synthesis results indicate that cyberbullying prevention strategies include relational, psychological, educational, technological, and school policy approaches. The main findings reveal that school counselors play a strategic role in fostering school connectedness, enhancing empathy, strengthening digital literacy, and providing preventive psychosocial support. However, this role has not yet been fully optimized in school practice and policy. This study concludes that strengthening the role of school counselors is a key element in creating an effective and sustainable cyberbullying prevention system within the educational environment.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the utilization of the Senayan Library Management System (SLiMS)-based Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) at the UIN Palopo Library using the Human–Organization–Technology Fit (HOT-Fit Model) approach. The focus of the study is directed at analyzing the suitability between human, organizational, and technological aspects in supporting the successful implementation of the system and the benefits generated for users and institutions. This study uses a quantitative method with an evaluative survey design. Data collection was carried out by distributing online questionnaires to 100 OPAC user respondents. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics to describe the level of system utilization for each variable. The results of the study indicate that (1) the utilization of SliMS-based OPAC based on the technological aspect is in the good category with an average value of 3.49, indicating adequate system, information, and service quality, while (2) the human aspect has an average value of 3.50, indicating relatively good system usage and satisfaction, although not yet optimal in the system usability indicator. (3) The organizational aspect is in the good category with an average value of 3.51, but it still requires strengthening socialization and training. (4) The compatibility between human-technology and technology-organization is completely optimal, while human-organization is not optimal.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the increasing competition among Islamic educational institutions in attracting new students, thus requiring a focused marketing management strategy that remains based on Islamic values. The Sa'adatuddarain Islamic Boarding School, Tahtul Yaman Village, Jambi City, faces challenges in managing its new student admission system in order to remain attractive to the community. This study aims to analyze the marketing management strategies implemented, identify supporting and inhibiting factors, and examine their implementation based on the 7P marketing mix concept. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research subjects consisted of the Head of Administration and teachers at the boarding school. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, with validity testing through triangulation. The results of the study indicate that marketing strategies are carried out through the strengthening of flagship programs, promotion based on direct communication and social media, improving the quality of human resources, and strengthening the image of the institution based on Islamic values. The elements of product, promotion, human resources, and process are the dominant aspects in attracting new students.
