Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of servant leadership and self-efficacy on teacher performance mediated by work effectiveness and cognitive trust. The research was conducted at public senior high schools in Cibarusah District using a quantitative approach through the Partial Least Square–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The population consisted of all teachers in public senior high schools with a total sample of 110 respondents. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire covering five main constructs. The results indicate that servant leadership and self-efficacy positively influence teacher performance, although the direct effects were not statistically significant. Work effectiveness and cognitive trust play a weak yet relevant mediating role in the model. The R² value for teacher performance was 0.114, indicating a moderate level of explained variance, while Q² predictive relevance showed weak predictive strength. The model demonstrated good fit, with an SRMR value of 0.084. These findings emphasize the importance of servant-oriented leadership and trust enhancement as key factors in improving teacher performance and educational outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between students’ activeness in participating in the Ikatan Pelajar Muhammadiyah (IPM) student organization and their learning outcomes in Qur’an Hadith subject, focusing on 12th-grade Accounting students at SMK Muhammadiyah Watukelir in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research employed a quantitative correlational approach, using purposive stratified sampling to obtain a sample of 59 students. Organizational activeness data were collected via a questionnaire, while Qur’an Hadith learning outcomes were obtained from documentation of semester report card grades for 2024/2025. The questionnaire instrument was validated and tested for reliability prior to use. Prerequisite tests (normality and linearity) indicated non-normal data distribution; therefore, correlation analysis used Spearman’s Rank. The main results showed that students’ activeness in IPM activities was moderate on average (mean questionnaire score 69.32). Students’ Qur’an Hadith learning outcomes were good, with an average score of 96.32 (category B, moderate). The Spearman correlation test yielded a coefficient ρ = 0.158 with p = 0.232 (> 0.05), indicating no significant relationship between IPM activeness and Qur’an Hadith performance.

Abstract

The development of the digital era and information technology has brought significant changes to the advancement of science, technology, and the arts, particularly in the transformation of information into knowledge that can be widely accessed without limitations of space and time. This condition encourages educational institutions to utilize social media as an effective means of communication and information dissemination, as institutions that fail to adopt technology appropriately may fall behind. This study aims to analyze the use of social media by the public relations unit of MIS Al-Jihad, Palangka Raya City, as a communication and information medium for parents and the wider community. This research employed a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants in this study consisted of the Vice Principal for Public Relations, public relations staff, and students’ parents. The results indicate that the public relations unit of MIS Al-Jihad has optimally utilized social media as a communication and information medium, as evidenced by the rapid, transparent, and easily accessible dissemination of school information, as well as positive responses from parents and the community. Social media is used to convey various types of information, such as school activities, examinations, and new student admissions. The use of social media plays an important role in enhancing information transparency, strengthening two-way communication, and building trust and a positive image of the madrasah amid rapid digital technological developments.

Abstract

Strengthening Islamic religious values in elementary schools plays a strategic role in shaping students’ character and moral development from an early age. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Islamic religious value strengthening programs at SD IT Mujahidul Amin Palangka Raya. The research employs a qualitative approach involving school leaders, teachers, and students who are directly engaged in the implementation of religious programs. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation and technique triangulation, while data analysis was carried out through data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that the strengthening of Islamic religious values is implemented in a structured and sustainable manner through three main programs: the 1 Day 1 Goodness Program, the Code of Conduct (COC) Program, and the Amaliyah Worship Enrichment Program. These programs instill sincerity, discipline, social morality, and spiritual awareness through daily habituation, reflective discipline, and continuous worship guidance, including during school holidays, with parental involvement. Overall, synergy between school and family effectively fosters religious character, discipline, and commendable morals among elementary school students, while offering a model for Islamic character education at the primary level.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Early Childhood Education (PAUD) to Primary School (SD) transition in building the foundational phase of early childhood education, focusing on learning practices, the use of initial assessment, and cross-level collaboration to support children’s holistic readiness. Methods: The study employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. The research was conducted at one PAUD institution and two public primary schools in Bandar Lampung, Indonesia. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews with principals, teachers, and parents, as well as document analysis. Data analysis followed an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by source and method triangulation. Results: The findings indicate that schools have begun implementing the PAUD–SD transition policy by eliminating early literacy and numeracy tests, applying child-friendly school orientation programs, and adjusting learning environments. The development of foundational competencies primarily emphasizes social-emotional skills, independence, and character building, while the use of initial assessment data and formal PAUD–SD collaboration remains limited. Novelty: This study provides empirical evidence on the operationalization of the foundational phase at the school level by highlighting the role of school management and stakeholder collaboration.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and formulate the Quality Guerilla Marketing Model as a branding strategy for the distinctive advantages of salaf Islamic boarding schools in facing competition with formal educational institutions. This research is motivated by the challenges of salaf Islamic boarding schools in communicating their substantive quality in the midst of the dominance of educational institutions that rely on formal promotion and modernization of the system. The research uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study carried out at the Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Islamic Boarding School Sukorejo Bangorejo Banyuwangi. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, participant observations, and documentation studies, while data analysis is carried out using the Miles and Huberman interactive model with data validity checks through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of the study show that the branding of salaf pesantren is built through substantive qualities that are alive in daily educational practices, strong cultural relations, and the authority of kiai as the main social legitimacy. In addition, pesantren implement selective adaptation to modern technology and systems as a competitiveness strategy without eliminating the identity of the salaf.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of learning technology at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah Karangwaru Plupuh Sragen, identify enabling and constraining factors, and interpret its impact on student engagement. A qualitative case study with a descriptive approach was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with three key informants—Umi Khasanah (principal), Zuli Nurdayati (class teacher), and Sitisamlatun (class teacher)—supported by classroom observations and document review (lesson plans, digital media artifacts, and assessment evidence). Data analysis followed thematic coding, data reduction and display, and conclusion drawing with source and technique triangulation to enhance trustworthiness. The main findings indicate that technology was integrated in three domains: planning (using digital resources to design learning materials), implementation (audiovisual media, interactive quizzes, and learning communication through messaging applications), and assessment (simple platform-based formative tests and digital portfolio documentation). Most practices remain at substitution–augmentation levels, yet initial movement toward modification is evident when teachers redesign learning flows into collaborative and project-based micro-tasks. Enablers include the principal’s instructional leadership, peer-sharing culture, and parent partnership; major barriers involve limited devices, unstable internet connectivity, and varied teacher digital literacy.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the PUSMA GEMILANG school branding model through digital marketing strategies at SD Negeri Pusmalang as an effort to strengthen school identity and competitiveness in the digital era. PUSMA GEMILANG represents a value-based branding concept encompassing Achievement, Excellence, Politeness, Independence, Adaptability, and Love of Learning as reflections of the school’s character and strengths. This research employed a qualitative approach using a library research method by analyzing relevant academic literature, journal articles, books, and online documents related to digital marketing, educational branding, and school promotion practices, including the social media activities of SD Negeri Pusmalang. Data were analyzed using content analysis through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that digital marketing strategies integrated with the values of PUSMA GEMILANG effectively build a strong, authentic, and consistent school image in the public sphere. The utilization of social media platforms, visual and multimedia content, personal branding of teachers and the principal, and digital interaction with parents has contributed to increased visibility, public trust, and community interest in the school. Therefore, the PUSMA GEMILANG branding model implemented through digital marketing serves not only as a promotional tool but also as a strategic approach to strengthening educational quality, school identity, and sustainable reputation at SD Negeri Pusmalang.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and interpret the meaning of the religious teaching profession in facing the dynamics of global quality demands through a philosophical hermeneutic approach. The study employed a qualitative approach with a case study conducted at Al-Fath Islamic Junior High School in Pare, Kediri. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, participant observation, documentation, and audio analysis to comprehensively capture the experiences and meaning-making processes of religious teachers. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which encompasses data reduction, data presentation, and reflective conclusion drawing. Data validity was checked through triangulation of sources, methods, and observers to ensure the validity and credibility of the research findings. The results indicate that the meaning of the religious teaching profession has shifted from a doctrinal role to an interpretive and reflective role. Religious teachers are understood as facilitators of meaning who bridge religious teachings with socio-global realities, while simultaneously navigating the tension between local-religious values ​​and global quality demands. The professionalism of religious teachers is defined as a continuous process of meaning-making supported by self-reflection, pedagogical adaptation, moral role modeling, and a synthesis of spiritual and global competencies.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the public relations strategies and activities implemented at MAN 2 Kota Jambi in building a positive and professional image of the educational institution. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation of public relations activities. The research findings indicate that the role of public relations is not limited to publishing and documenting school activities but also includes a strategic role in bridging communication between the school and the public, particularly parents and the community. The public communication strategies implemented include the use of digital platforms such as websites, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and plans to launch a podcast. Additionally, public relations applies strict information selection principles before publication to maintain the institution's credibility and image. The digital innovations developed demonstrate the adaptability of public relations in addressing communication challenges in the information technology era. This study emphasizes that effective and responsive public relations is a key factor in building the reputation of an inclusive and trustworthy educational institution.
