Abstract

This article focuses on the development of mobile learning media using Android-based applications to enhance the teaching and learning process, specifically for English language education in seventh-grade classrooms. The study follows the research and development (R&D) model proposed by Lee and Owens (2004) and was conducted in two private schools in the Malang district. The development process consists of five phases: assessment/analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The "Seven" application, developed using the Andromo platform, aims to improve the four basic skills of English language learning: reading, speaking, writing, and listening. The effectiveness of the application was evaluated through material verification and media verification, using qualitative and quantitative data analysis methods. The findings indicate that the "Seven" application was well-received by students, with positive feedback regarding its user-friendly interface and the engaging learning experience it provided. The study demonstrates the potential of Android-based mobile learning as an effective and practical tool for enhancing English language education in seventh-grade classrooms.

Abstract

Differentiated learning based on student learning styles is implemented to accommodate the diverse ways students process and represent information. Differentiated teaching modules are essential to align learning with teacher planning. An educational report from a school in East Java indicated a need for improvements in innovative teaching practices, learning processes, and reflective teaching. This study aims to describe the implementation process of differentiated teaching modules for Grade 7 students. A qualitative descriptive method was used, employing observation sheets to monitor teacher and student activities. Observations were conducted by two Mathematics Education-trained observers, with data converted to scores using a four-point Likert scale and analyzed qualitatively through comments and suggestions. Challenges included students’ limited ability to operate laptops, experience with group learning, confidence in sharing opinions, and careful reading of instructions. Results indicated that the differentiated teaching modules were highly effective, showing excellent ratings in both teacher and student activities across four learning sessions.

Abstract

Reading at the beginning of elementary education is an important stage in the learning process of early grade students. This reading ability is an essential basis for developing more complex literacy skills in the future. The aim of this research is to analyze the comparison of two elementary schools in improving students' reading skills located in villages and urban areas, then the obstacles/difficulties experienced by students in understanding reading. This research is descriptive qualitative research with a case study approach. Data collection techniques used interviews, EGRA tests, and observation. Based on the research results, it shows that reading ability in rural SDNs is lower than in urban SDNs. Difficulties experienced by elementary school students in rural and urban areas include; 1) difficulty reading vowels 2) reading words that have no meaning, 3) difficulty reading a sentence, 4) difficulty remembering words that have been spelled. Based on reading ability, there are 2 Factors, namely inhibiting factors and supporting factors. Supporting factors include; 1) interest in reading, 2) motivation, and 3) learning methods and media. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors are physiological factors and family factors.

Abstract

: The focus of the study in this article is to find out and analyze the positive characters in Javanese lessons and the role of teachers in strengthening character in Javanese lessons. The method used by researchers in this article is qualitative with a case study type. Data was obtained by interviews, observation and documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis is carried out in three simultaneous steps, namely data condensation, data display, and verification. The results of the research state that positive characters in learning Javanese include tolerance, compassion, mutual cooperation, respect, humanity, respect, gratitude, good manners, respect for friends and others, understanding self-placement, and honesty. These positive characters can be found in Javanese language lessons both implicitly and explicitly. Teachers have a major role in implementing positive character in Javanese language lessons. By example, the teacher not only conveys the material but also masters a lot of vocabulary in the Kromo language so that it can provide examples and role models.

Abstract

The focus of this article is to identify PBL-based mathematics learning innovations and PBL-based mathematics learning outcomes. The method used is qualitative and the type is a case study. Data collection techniques were carried out using interviews, observation, and documentation and data analysis was carried out in three activity streams that occurred simultaneously in the data collection process, namely: data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification. The research results stated that the stages of PBL-based mathematics learning consisted of three main steps, namely the teacher providing an explanation of the material first before presenting the problem, the teacher giving work papers, and students being directed to complete the work papers in groups. This PBL model indicates that teachers have good managerial skills in the learning process. The results of mathematics learning using the PBL method indicate the delivery of material during the learning process, and students' social skills during learning. The PBL method has an important meaning in seeing the success of learning and education. Both specifically in mathematics and all other subjects. Considering learning outcomes can be used to prepare learning evaluations.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine learning innovation and increase student motivation in mathematics lessons based on the PBL method and QR-Code media. The method used is qualitative with a case study type. Data was obtained through interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis uses three simultaneous steps, namely data condensation, verification and presentation. The research results state that learning innovations based on QR-Code media can speed up understanding in the learning process, clarify the presentation of material considering that it is displayed using gadgets owned by students, learning time can be conditioned while eliminating students' boredom, and most importantly increase students' learning motivation in mathematics subjects. Student motivation is slowly being built using QR-Code media, making learning more effective, active and fun. The effectiveness of learning is influenced by the learning methods and media used. The two are interrelated, where the choice of a particular method will influence the type of media that will be used. In the sense that there must be a match between the two to realize the goals of mathematics learning.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company that produces rims cars. One of the products produced is rims with ABC type. The production process carried out is make to order repetitive. PT. XYZ has a production capacity problem, causing an unfulfilled order. The production floor has a bottleneck work station at work stations 1 and 2. The accumulation occurs because of the standard time difference and the maximum capacity. This study uses the Theory of Constraints (TOC) method to deal with bottlenecked work stations. Calculating the maximum capacity of each work station results in work station s 1 and 2 having less capacity than the other work station. To solve the bottleneck problem at work stations 1 and 2, there are two alternative solutions, overtime and the addition of a work shift. After analyzing the existing problem, to solve bottlenecks at work station s 1 and 2, add the shift of work from 2 shifts to 3 shifts with an overtime of 1 hour per shift.

Abstract

This research investigates research trends related to obstacles in registering halal labels in Indonesia. This research is a literature review. The analysis uses a systematic literature review method. Data sources include journal articles, research reports and government publications from 2019 to 2024. A literature search was carried out through major academic databases with relevant keywords, followed by a selection and synthesis process of the data obtained. The search is carried out with the help of the Publish or Perish program. Through an in-depth literature review, this study identifies the main factors that hinder the halal registration process and evaluates their impact on various stakeholders. The obstacles identified include costs, bureaucratic complexity, awareness and understanding of business actors, and the capacity of halal certification institutions. These findings offer insights that can help stakeholders formulate effective interventions to increase the number of halal label registrations, which is crucial for meeting domestic and global market needs and increasing the competitiveness of Indonesian products.
