Abstract

Education is one of the most important aspects in building Indonesia's golden generation. Ki Hajar Dewantara's philosophy, with its concepts of Tri No and Tri Nga, provides a strong foundation for emphasizing the importance of developing a complete Indonesian generation that is cultured, civilized, and of superior quality. This article aims to analyze the role of Ki Hajar Dewantara's Tri No and Tri Nga philosophy as the foundation of education in creating Indonesia's golden generation. These concepts will be explained in the context of the Second Principle of Pancasila (Just and Civilized Humanity), which emphasizes the importance of creating diversity awareness and a sense of togetherness. This study uses a literature review approach to explore a deeper understanding of Ki Hajar Dewantara's contribution to education in Indonesia. The combination of Ki Hajar Dewantara's Tri No and Tri Nga philosophies results in three important stages in shaping the foundation and character of children's education. Ki Hajar Dewantara's Tri No and Tri Nga educational philosophies are an important foundation for the formation of individuals with character, morals, and the ability to live harmoniously in a diverse society, which is the core of the Second Principle of Pancasila. This philosophy promotes learning that not only enhances academic intelligence but also character development.

Abstract

People with Autism or Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) are someone who has a developmental disorder that affects several aspects such as speech, communication, social interaction, sensory, behavior and emotions when learning from experiences with the surrounding environment. Autistic children tend to behave differently from people in general, seem to not care about the environment around them and prefer to be alone as if they live in their own world. The aim of this research is to obtain data that provides an overview of how outing class activities are implemented as a means of improving social interaction skills in autistic students. This research design uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach. In the data collection process, the instruments chosen by researchers were interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis researchers used the data analysis technique of the Miles and Huberman model in Sugiyono (2017) which consists of 3 stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that the description of the implementation of outing class learning starts from preparation to follow-up. Preparation consists of preparing tools and materials as well as planning the implementation of learning. Meanwhile, the implementation is carried out in accordance with the learning implementation plans that have been implemented previously. The follow-up to the outing class learning is an evaluation of the implementation of the learning to improve further learning objectives.

Abstract

One of the most common problems experienced by students with intellectual disabilities is attention problems. Attention problems in children with intellectual disabilities can worsen the impact of academic disabilities on children. To improve attention skills, effective learning strategies and attractive media are needed. The learning program using android-based augmented reality using tablet devices serves as a stimulator tool that not only creates interest but also student and teacher engagement in the learning process. The participants in this study are 10-year-old children with mild intellectual disabilities who attend SLB Idayu 1 Malang City. This research aims to analyze and evaluate the use of augmented reality-based media on attention in learning for children with intellectual disabilities. Data collection is done by observation with indicators of student on-task time. This research uses Single Subject Research experimental method with A-B-A design and descriptive statistical technique to analyze the data. The results showed a temporary increase in student attention to the learning program with augmented reality. This is due to several factors involved in learning activities. Factors that contribute to the results of this study include unfavorable environment, distraction, teaching style and the influence of the child's condition, while internal factors include boredom or illness and decreased motivation and interest.

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan menemukan prinsip dari berbagai media pembelajaran yang dapat memberikan dukungan pada berkembangnya kemampuan berhitung pada anak dengan autis. Studi ini diselenggarakan dengan menggunakan perspektif studi literatur. Dalam studi literatur ini dilakukan beberapa tahapan dalam mendeskripsikan data yaitu melalui pengumpulam-pengumpulan artikel penelitian terkait, melalui penelusuran google scholar yang berhubungan dengan meningkatkan kemampuan berhitung anak autis dengan media pembelajaran. Berdasarkan artikel yang ditemukan terdapat 100 artikel yang berhubungan dengan peningkatan kemampuan berhitung namun demikian terdapat 6 artikel terkait dengan artikel bertemakan meningkatkan kemampuan berhitung anak autis dengan media pembelajaran. Hasil analisis studi ditemukan bahwa terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan pada kemampuan berhitung setelah menggunakan media dalam belajar berhitung bagi anak dengan autis. Adapun prinsip-prinsip yang ditemukan adalah bahwa media tersebut 1) bersifat multisensoris, 2) memiliki instruksi yang jelas dalam penggunaan dan tugas-tugas yang harus dikerjakan, dan 3) memiliki daya tarik media berupa warna, dan bentuk.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the effectiveness of peer tutoring in enhancing early reading skills among second-grade students with reading difficulties at Ibnu Sina Islamic Elementary School, Bandung. Employing a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design, adapted from Kemmis & McTaggart, and conducted in two cycles, this investigation used a mixed-method approach to ensure a comprehensive picture regarding the intervention's impact on early literacy competencies and the social dynamics of learning. Data collection was made through a pre-test-post-test, structured observation, and reflective interviews. Statistical analysis showed that the average rise in reading scores reached 55%, and the results of the paired t-test indicated that this increase was significant (p < 0.05). Qualitative data show that the increasing engagement, self-confidence, and quality of the interaction between tutors and tutees are in tune with the latest literature, which highlights that peer tutoring is an effective practice to enhance academic achievement, self-regulation, and social-emotional support within elementary education settings. This study concludes that peer tutoring can serve as a low-cost and highly relevant instructional strategy for addressing early reading difficulties in elementary school settings, and it recommends strengthening tutor training and improving the quality of teacher scaffolding for program sustainability.

Abstract

This study is based on the fact that early reading learning is very important for children from an early age, including children with mild mental retardation. Children with mild mental retardation are those who experience intellectual disabilities that cannot be distinguished from children with severe mental retardation. Early reading learning must be carried out properly so that children with intellectual disabilities can follow the lessons well too. The purpose of this study was to determine how the process of early reading learning is carried out on children with mild mental retardation and whether the approach used is effective. Because children with mental retardation must be taught with methods that are appropriate to their conditions. This study is a descriptive study using a literature study method. The use of this method is in accordance with the objectives of the previous study. The results of the study indicate that several approaches and strategies can be used to help children with mild mental retardation learn to read early.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan aplikasi Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) berbasis etnopedaogi guna meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi ekspresif pada anak autis non-verbal. Pendekatan etnopedaogi mengintegrasikan elemen budaya lokal seperti simbol batik, wayang, dan bahasa Jawa untuk membuat aplikasi lebih relevan secara kultural. Metode penelitian menggunakan desain pengembangan (research and development) dengan model ADDIE, melibatkan enam anak autis di SLB Negeri Gedangan, Surabaya. Instrumen pengukuran meliputi Communication Matrix untuk komunikasi ekspresif, kuesioner kepuasan pengguna (skala Likert 1-5), observasi, dan wawancara. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada skor Communication Matrix (rata-rata peningkatan 7,5 poin, p < 0,001 berdasarkan Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test) dan tingkat kepuasan tinggi (rata-rata 4,2-4,5). Temuan kualitatif mengonfirmasi bahwa simbol budaya lokal meningkatkan keterlibatan anak. Diskusi menyoroti peran etnopedaogi sebagai katalis pembelajaran, sejalan dengan teori identitas budaya. Kesimpulan menyatakan bahwa aplikasi ini efektif dan dapat direplikasi di konteks pendidikan khusus Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan peer tutor dalam mendukung proses belajar serta mendeskripsikan pengaruh strategi peer tutor dalam meningkatkan pembelajaran dan interaksi sosial anak berkebutuhan khusus (ABK) di Sekolah Dasar Negeri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengambilan data berupa observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sekolah telah menerapkan prinsip inklusi dengan menerima siswa ABK tanpa diskriminasi. Tantangan yang dihadapi sekolah adalah ketiadaan guru pendamping khusus, kurangnya pelatihan bagi guru, serta tidak adanya kurikulum yang disesuaikan untuk ABK. Inovasi yang dilakukan sekolah agar dapat memberikan layanan pendidikan meskipun dengan hambatan tersebut adalah dengan menggunakan strategi peer tutor dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Teman dekat ABK difungsikan sebagai tutor sebaya untuk dapat membantu ABK memahami pelajaran. Strategi ini terbukti efektif karena anak cenderung lebih nyaman untuk bertanya kepada teman daripada gurunya. Tutor yang mumpuni juga menjadi faktor keberhasilan strategi ini. Tantangannya adalah ketika ABK tantrum dan karena ketiadaan guru pembimbing khusus, maka guru melakukan kolaborasi dengan orang tua agar berperan sebagai GPK dan mendampingi ABK.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau secara sistematis literatur terkait peran self-efficacy guru dalam pembelajaran inklusif. Self-efficacy dipahami sebagai keyakinan guru terhadap kemampuannya mengelola pembelajaran secara efektif, terutama saat mengajar siswa berkebutuhan khusus. Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan menelusuri artikel dari lima database terkemuka. Dari 700 artikel yang teridentifikasi, tujuh artikel dipilih berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa self-efficacy guru memengaruhi berbagai aspek implementasi pendidikan inklusif, seperti perencanaan pembelajaran, manajemen kelas, kolaborasi, dan keterlibatan profesional. Guru dengan self-efficacy tinggi lebih siap menghadapi tantangan, memiliki kualitas pengajaran lebih baik, serta komitmen lebih tinggi terhadap siswa berkebutuhan khusus. Faktor-faktor seperti pengalaman prajabatan, pelatihan, jenjang mengajar, dan keterlibatan langsung turut berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan self-efficacy. Temuan ini memiliki implikasi teoritis dan praktis bagi pengembangan kebijakan serta pelatihan guru dalam konteks inklusif.

Abstract

The ability possessed by mentally retarded students in reading English is still in the low category compared to students in general. In their learning, mentally retarded students need help in the form of media to make it easier for students to understand the material explained by the teacher. One of the media that can be used in learning is a pictorial crossword puzzle. Besides being able to facilitate understanding, crossword puzzles can also make learning activities more fun. This study aims to determine the reading ability of mentally retarded students in learning English before and after the application of pictorial crossword puzzles. This study uses a research method in the form of a quantitative method using a Pre Experimental Design approach in the form of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. For the data collection process using a test instrument in the form of questions. This research was conducted using the subject of students with mental retardation class VII SMPLB . The results showed that with the use of pictorial crossword puzzles, students' English reading skills increased based on the difference in scores obtained at the pretest and posttest. The value obtained during the posttest is greater than the value obtained at the pretest. The conclusion in this study is that the use of crossword puzzles has an influence in improving students' English reading skills. This can be seen through the results of the Wilcoxon test which shows that Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05.
