Abstract

This study aimed to determine the feasibility level of, students’ response, level of students’ understanding of the electronic module based on creative thinking skills using 3D Page Flip Professional on Hydrocarbon subject at SMAIT IQRA'Bengkulu City. This type of research is R&D (Research and Development) which used 3 of the 4 stages of the 4D (Four D) development model included Define, Design and Development. The data of this study were obtained from a validation questionnaire from material and media experts, the results of small-scale trials, large-scale trial results, student response questionnaires and students' level of understanding of the developed electronic module. The feasibility level of the electronic module is based on material expert validation of 93.18% which states that the quality of the material in the electronic module is feasible from the material aspect and based on creative thinking skills, the validation of media experts is 97.20% which states that the display quality on the electronic module is appropriate from the media aspect, the small scale trial was 92.47% which stated that the discourse on the was easy to understand. Students’ response to the module in the field implementation test was 93.92% which stated that students gave a very good response to the developed electronic module and the level of student understanding based on the N-Gain Score of 0.37 was in the medium category. This showed that the electronic module based on creative thinking skills using 3D Page Flip Professional on hydrocarbon subject is very suitable to be used as teaching material in the learning process.

Abstract

This research and development aims to (1) produce an E-Module designed with the Canva Application (2) determine the feasibility and response of students to the E-Module being developed. The resulting product is an E-Module which contains on macronutrient and micronutrient elements in sea water. The development model used is the Borg and Gall development model which has been modified by Sugiyono. This development has 10 stages, but in this case the development is limited to stage 7, namely product revision I. The development stages carried out in this research are potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product testing, and product revision I. This research and development was carried out at Bengkulu University from March to September 2023. The test subjects in this research were students of Chemistry Education Study Program who were taking Marine Chemistry classes for the 2022/2023 academic year and 2023/2024 academic year at Bengkulu University Teacher Training and Education Faculty, totalling 25 people. Data collection was carried out using student needs questionnaires, literature studies, atudent respon questionnaires and product validation sheets. The data obtained are qualitative data in the form of comments and suggestion from validators and respondents, quantitative data in the form of assessment numbers based on a Likert Skala. Quantitative data processing by analyzing product feasibility and analyzing student responses to the E-Module being developed. The result of the media and material validity test respectively were 98,61% and 88,88%. The Student response test result of 84,33%. Based on the results, it was concluded that the E-Module developed was very suitable to use in the classes.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a web-based colloid system teaching materials assisted by exe-learning applications. The development model used was the 4-D (Four-D) model which consists of the define, design, develop and disseminate stages. The research was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Bengkulu Utara with the research subjects being 12 students of class XI MIPA 2 for the small-scale trial, and 34 students of grade XI MIPA 3 for the large-scale trial. The instruments used were interview sheets, questionnaires, material and media validation sheets, student and teacher response questionnaires, and pretest and posttest sheets. The results of this study indicate that the web-based colloid system teaching materials are very feasible by media experts and material experts with a percentage of 93.13% of media aspect and 86.42% of material aspect, student responses to web-based colloid system teaching materials are in the category of very good with an average percentage of 89.56%. Learning outcomes after using teaching materials developed increased with an average N-gain score of 0.67 on the medium criteria and the teacher's response to web-based colloid system teaching materials was in the very good category with an average percentage an average of 93.23%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kelayakan, respon mahasiswa terhadap suplemen bahan ajar bahan ajar Kimia Organik Bahan Alam (KOBA KIM 413, KD 2) dengan pendekatan STEM’S bebasis android dan hasil belajar mahasiswa  setelah menggunakan suplemen bahan ajar tersebut. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari-Juli 2020. Model yang digunakan pada penelitian pengembangan ini adalah ADDI (adaptasi dari model ADDIE) yang terdiri dari tahap analisis, perencanaan, pengembangan, penerapan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Univeristas Bengkulu dengan subjek mahasiswa pendidikan kimia Universitas Bengkulu yang mengambil mata kuliah KOBA TA 2019/2020. Mahasiswa dengan NPM genap berjumlah 9 orang untuk uji coba skala kecil dan mahasiswa dengan NPM ganjil berjumlah 21 orang untuk  uji coba skala besar. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa angket kebutuhan, lembar validasi, angket respon, serta lembar evaluasi. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh: (1) tingkat kelayakan suplemen bahan ajar dengan pendekatan STEM’S berbasis android, persentase kelayakan dari segi materi  yang didapat yaitu 92,86 % dengan kategori sangat layak sedangkan dari segi media yaitu 80,21 % dengan kategori sangat layak sehingga bahan ajar dinilai layak untuk diujicobakan; (2) Hasil uji coba skala kecil didapatkan respon baik dengan persentasi rata-rata 89,75% dengan ada perbaikan; (3) Hasil belajar mahasiswa setelah menggunakan suplemen bahan ajar KOBA didapatkan nilai rata-rata sebesar 57,3 yang masuk pada kategori lulus. sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa suplemen bahan ajar cara-cara isolasi dan identifikasi senyawa bahan alam dengan pendekatan STEM’S bebasis android yang telah dikembangkan dapat digunakan sebagai suplemen dalam proses pembelajaran KOBA

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility and response of students to the developed electronic chemistry module. This development study was adapted from the Borg and Gall me development model which used 7 out of 10 stages which were limited to the product revision stage. The data of this study were obtained from interviews, material and media expert validation questionnaires, student response questionnaires on small-scale product trials. The results of material expert validation showed that the electronic chemistry module developed obtained an average percentage of 85.73% while the results of media expert validation obtained an average percentage result of 87.06% which was in the range of 84% < V 100% with the criteria very valid. In a small-scale product trial to determine student responses to the developed chemistry electronic module, the average percentage of 83,38% % in the range of 68% < V 84% in the good category. It can be concluded that the electronic chemistry module developed in this study is suitable for use as chemistry teaching materials for class X SMK students. Abstract

Hypertension is the most alarming disease that causes cardiovascular risk for human health Worldwide. Thus, the author has explored marine natural marine macroalgae that possess antihypertension activity to lower blood pressure. Marine macroalgae or seaweed tropical marine organisms from marine biodiversity that are distributed widely in the subtropic and tropical oceans. Marine macroalgae have a significant role in preventing hypertension risk with a unique biochemical compound that is not contained in a terrestrial plant. However, antihypertension of seaweed research using scientometric analysis is limited. This study collected scientific information from relevant literature to determine the recent development and trends regarding antihypertension of seaweed research Worldwide. Many researchers, academia, and practitioners will have a wide understanding of the recent novelty finding in seaweed prospect to prevent antihypertension disease with a scientometric analysis approach to interpret data using CiteSpace. The literature review using scientometric analysis regarding antihypertension of seaweed research from 1991 until 2022. The result showed Suetsuna K is the most influential author (sigma score =1.52, centrality score =0.24 and degree score =51). Advances in Food and Nutrition Research is the leading journal. The most popular keywords in common cluster related antihypertension of seaweed research area are seaweed, hypertension, algae, in vitro, and dietary fiber. On the other hand, various stakeholders need to know the development and trends of a marine drug for antihypertensive effect from various seaweeds or marine macroalgae.

Abstract

The manufacture of palm leaf frond (Nypa fruticans) nanocrystalline bioplastic films produced from a sonication-hydrothermal process with the addition of sago starch. This research aims to determine the characteristics of bioplastics made from cellulose nanocrystals with the addition of sago starch. Characterization uses tensile test methods, water absorption, FTIR, XRD, TGA, and biodegradability tests. The highest tensile strength results for bioplastics were shown in samples with a 20% NCC film variation, namely 11.996 MPa, elongation 1.66%, and Young's modulus 722.65 MPa. The best water absorption test is found in the 20% NCC variation, namely 24.35%. FTIR spectrum analysis shows the absorption of the C-O-C group at a wave number of 1096 cm-1 which identifies the presence of glycosidic bonds in cellulose nanocrystals. Peak 3428 indicates the presence of an O-H group and peak 2926 cm-1 indicates the presence of a C-H group. XRD analysis shows the degree of crystallinity of cellulose nanocrystals, namely 90%. The 15% NCC variation shows good heat stability around 335.71oC and the 20% NCC variation is 327.91%. The best biodegradability test was shown by samples with an NCC variation of 15%, namely 71.68%. The conclusion in this research is that the best sample variations are NCC variations of 20% and 15%.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between inventive thinking (IT) and science-related attitude (SRA). This study is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional study design. Participants in this study were 109 chemistry education students, Sriwijaya University. The instruments used in this study were an adaptation of the inventive thinking measurement instrument and an adaptation of the science-related attitude (TOSRA) measurement instrument. Data analysis was carried out using Rasch Analysis to determine the validity and reliability of the instrument, as well as to measure inventive thinking and science-related attitude, which was then analyzed using Pearson correlation analysis. The results of the validity analysis showed that the MNSQ Outfit of both instruments (IT = 1.01 and SRA = 1) was in the range of 0.5-1.5 which was classified as valid or could measure what was to be measured well. The reliability of both instruments (IT = 0.98 and SRA = 0.99) was in the range> 0.94 which was classified as special. The results of the analysis of the relationship between inventive thinking and science-related attitude show that r = 0.273 is included in the low category. This shows that the relationship between science-related students and inventive thinking is low, or in other words there is no close relationship between inventive thinking ability and science-related students. The results of the Pearson correlation analysis also show a positive sign. This shows that the relationship between inventive thinking and science-related students is also positive, or not contradictory.

Abstract

The world of education until now continues to develop but there is still a problem, namely the low learning outcomes of students. One of the factors that can cause this problem is that students do not have the ability to evaluate and regulate their cognitive processes in solving a problem in learning. Until now, teachers have tried to improve students learning outcomes through empowering metacognitive skills. The components that learners must have in learning are skills to process thinking including planning (regulation), monitoring the learning process (monitoring) and reflecting (evaluation). These components can be seen in the learning skills and learning process of learners. This literature review explores more deeply about learning models that are suitable for improving metacognitive skills in chemistry learning. The literature review uses narrative literature review type to identify learning models that can improve metacognitive skills in chemistry learning. Cooperative learning models have a great influence in improving metacognitive skills, cooperative learning models that can be used include problem-based learning, guided inquiry, problem solving, project-based learning, and self regulated learning.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' scientific attitudes through the application of learning module flipbooks with the STEAM approach. This study used a pre-experiment design with one research sample class. The sample students were Jambi University students in the Chemistry Education Study Program who took the philosophy of education course. In this study, a questionnaire instrument was used to collect scientific attitude data. The difference in student scientific attitude data before and after the application of the learning module flipbook with the STEAM approach Furthermore, the paired sample t-test test was conducted to determine the impact of the application of the learning module flipbook with the STEAM approach to the scientific attitude of students. scientific attitude of students.
