Abstract

Commodities of food crops that have an important role for Indonesian people except rice is cassava. Cassava can be utilized into a variety of processed products and become one of the profitable business opportunities. Abbas Sawargi is the largest business in Bandung area that process cassava into peuyeum. Peuyeum is a food product of cassava fermentation with yeast and it is one of traditional food from West Java. This study aims to determine the business model on business Peuyeum Abbas Sawargi. This research is used qualitative design with case study technique. The primary data were obtained from the owner and manager of Peuyeum Abbass Sawargi. Data analysis using Business Model Canvas. The description of business model is obtained through business design process with storytelling technique, visual thinking, and prototyping. The result of the research shows that there is a building block which is the main thing in the formation of Peuyeum Abbas Sawargi business is by looking at Key Resources that already exist, such as using cassava that has been planted so that it can be used as business opportunity. There are several obstacles in business of Peueyum Abbas Sawargi on Key Activity block especially in the promotion, marketing and administration.Keywords : Processed Cassava, Peuyeum, Business Model Canvas.

Abstract

The existence of a farmer in Indonesia will be stronger when joining a farming group or organization. The activities of agricultural institutions in Indonesia are directed to the development of food crops, especially rice, including Cianjur, West Java. The Pandanwangi Cianjur Rice Conservation Society (MP3C) is an agricultural institution that plays an active role in developing and preserving Pandanwangi rice as a variety of Geographical Indications. The existence of MP3C will be seen from stakeholder satisfaction with its role. This research was conducted with the aim of reviewing: 1). How is the existence and role of the MP3C; 2). How much stakeholder satisfaction is there for the role and performance of MP3C. 35 responses were collected from respondents consisting of Pandanwangi farmers, Pandanwangi rice traders and consumers, government and academics. Determination of respondents as samples is done by quota sampling technique. There are 5 dimensions to measuring satisfaction with the performance and interests of MP3C institutions. These dimensions include tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy. To answer the objectives of the first research qualitative descriptive analysis was carried out on the respondents' information and responses. The second research objective was answered by the analysis method of the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Importance and Performance Analysis (IPA). The results of the study indicate: 1) The existence of MP3C institutions is very important for stakeholders. MP3C has a role in controlling, overseeing, supervising and fostering the Pandanwangi rice farmers who are members; 2) The role of MP3C is considered very important by stakeholders in terms of guidance and counseling, while the performance of MP3C is considered to provide satisfaction with the CSI value of 69.93%. Such a condition is expected to be a consideration for the continuous improvement and sustainability of the MP3C institution in an effort to develop and preserve Pandanwangi rice.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim to formulate Sentul chicken development strategies in Ciamis. The research was conducted using the survey method. Research was conducted in September and October 2015. Respondents consisted of:  (1) Breeders chicken Sentul many as 36 people, and (2) Other respondents, namely civil servants / government agencies and academia as many as 8 people. The research data consist of primary data and secondary data. Sentul chicken development strategy in Ciamis formulated using SWOT analysis.The results showed that the chicken Sentul development strategy in Ciamis are: (1) Increasing the supply of day old chick (DOC) to meet the needs of farmers, (2) Increase the supply through the improvement of the chicken population Sentul to meet consumer demand for chicken meat, (3) Making the chicken Sentul production centers to anticipate conflict of interest about land using between chicken Sentul farming Sentul and settlement as, also easily to facilitate in monitoring the health of chickens Sentul, (4) The increase in the number of holdings chicken Sentul per farmer via credit scheme program with an emphasis on monitoring and evaluation in order to right on the goals and objectives, (5) Improved technical capacity of farmers in raising chickens Sentul through extension activities, training and technical assistance to improve productivity, (6) Increased efficiency and productivity through production policies are supported by cross-sectoral coordination is good, (7 ) Production subsidies to ensure continuity of production that is not significantly affected by fluctuations in the price of the means of production, and (8) Improved management capabilities of Sentul chicken farmers in health through counseling activities, training and technical assistance to support the achievement of efficiency and high productivity

Abstract

Food diversification of fish in strengthening livelihood food security is getting priority, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Almost all habits and behavior have changed. The scarcity and distribution gaps of the supply chain occurred, and hopefully, the new normal era will soon come. The research carried out to know the consumer behavior in decision making to consume diversification products of original catfish shredded and analyze the most dominant affected attribute. The research used the Rank Spearman Correlation Test toward interviewed 100 respondents. The result indicated that consumer behavior has an essential role in decision making to consume agribusiness diversification products of catfish shredded. The correlation is the more paying attention, the more consumer decided to consume catfish shredded. The product can distribute well. Analysis of organoleptic concluded that consumers refer to catfish shredded. It has a soft texture, refine the structure, delicious taste, and easy to chew, whereas catfish shredded had odor. Suggestion to advance research to eliminate catfish odor sensory.

Abstract

Rice is still an important commodity in agricultural policy in Indonesia because it is related to food security and rice self-sufficiency. The use of inefficient production factors will affect the level of farm productivity. The ability of farmers to manage and allocate production factors used will affect production and productivity, and will provide an overview of the level of efficiency achieved by farmers. The identification of the problem of this research are: 1) How is the performance of wetland rice farming in Lakbok Subdistrict? 2) Is there influence on the use of production factors together (simultaneously) and individually (partially) on the production of rice paddies in Lakbok Sub-district? 3) Is the average use of production factors on rice farming efficient or not? Test analysis using multiple regression analysis with a sample of 98 respondent farmers in Lakbok District, Ciamis Regency. Sampling is done by cluster sampling. The collected data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive approach and Production Factor Economic Efficiency Analysis. The results showed that: 1) The average yield of rice produced in Lakbok Subdistrict was 3,600 Kg / Ha MPD. While the total income for farmers in Lakbok District is Rp. 7,197,137.37 per hectare per planting season with RC ratio of 1.80 per planting season. 2) The amount of determination (R2) is 0.913. This can be interpreted that the independent variables (land area, seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides, insecticides and labor) can explain the dependent variable (rice production) of 91.1 percent, while the remainder is explained by other factors outside the derived model. While the value of the coefficient of determination obtained value of 0.958 means that the closeness of the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable is 95.8 percent. 3) The area of land, fungicides, insecticides and labor is greater than one, meaning that the combination of the use of production factors in the form of land area, fungicide, insecticide and labor in lowland rice farming has not been economic efficiency. While the value of economic efficiency for factors of seed and pesticide production shows a negative number, meaning that the use of production factors in rice farming is too much and will reduce the level of income earned.

Abstract

Jagung merupakan komoditas pangan kedua setelah padi dan sumber kalori atau makanan pengganti beras disamping itu juga sebagai pakan ternak.  Kebutuhan jagung akan terus meningkat dari tahun ke tahun, sejalan dengan peningkatan taraf hidup ekonomi masyarakat dan kemajuan industri pakan ternak.  Kasryno (2006), mengemukakan bahwa jagung dapat dimanfaatkan untuk pangan, pakan dan bahan baku industri. Tingginya permintaan untuk jagung tua (pipilan) di daerah Banten, tidak secara langsung mendorong petani untuk melakukan pemanenan jagung tua (pipilan).  Fenomena menunjukan masih banyak petani yang melakukan pemanenan jagung muda. Dalam memutuskan untuk memilih waktu panen, terdapat beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan tersebut diantaranya umur, pendidikan, pengalaman usahatani, permodalan, luas lahan yang dimiliki petani, faktor harga, serta berkaitan dengan kemudahan uang tunai yang akan diperoleh petani. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan petani dalam memilih waktu panen jagung.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey. Metode penentuan sampel menggunakan simplerandom sampling dengan total sampel sebanyak 101 petani jagung. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan regresi logistik. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah  secara simultan faktor umur, pendidikan, pengalaman usahatani, luas lahan, modal, harga dan kemudahan mendapatkan uang tunai berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap keputusan petani dalam memilih waktu panen jagung. Secara parsial, faktor pengalaman (X3), luas lahan usahatani (X4), modal (X5), harga(X6) dan kemudahan mendapatkan uang tunai(D), berpengaruh nyata terhadap keputusan petani dalam memilih waktu panen jagung, sedangkan faktor umu(X1) dan faktor pendidikan (X2) berpengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap keputusan petani dalam memilih waktu panen jagung.

Abstract

Dalam upaya meningkatkan kedaulatan pangan, pemerintah memproklamirkan Pembangunan Desa Pertanian Organik. Program ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan sistem usahatani ramah lingkungan dengan input pertanian mandiri berdasarkan potensi agroekosistem dan keanekaragaman hayati, serta produksi komoditas berkualitas dan aman untuk dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat. Program ini dilaksanakan di 600 desa untuk pengembangan pertanian organik komoditas pangan, 250 desa hortikultura, dan 150 desa perkebunan dan peternakan. Desa Cibodas Kecamatan Lembang merupakan salah satu desa organik untuk komoditas hortikultura. Penelitian ini mencoba mempelajari pelaksanaan program desa organik di Cibodas dan untuk melihat dampak program desa organik yang dirasakan oleh masyarakat tani Desa Cibodas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan responden 60 petani horti di Cibodas. Model analisis data Miles dan Huberman digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Penerapan program Desa Organik di Cibodas belum berjalan dengan maksimal. Dari 12 item kegiatan pengembangan desa organik, baru  6 item yang telah diterapkan. Dampak dari program yang dirasakan oleh petani diantaranya terdapat perubahan tingkat kognitif dan psikomotorik petani terkait pembuatan pestisida alami, pupuk kandang serta pembentukan Desa Sehat. Jumlah calon petani organik pun terjaring 54 orang. Tujuan program desa organik yaitu menciptakan banyak petani organik belum sepenuhnya berhasil karena belum adanya sosialisasi, pendampingan dan evaluasi dari pemerintah sebagai pembuat program. Alat dan bahan pendukung yang diminta tidak sesuai dengan yang didapat.Kata kunci: Dampak, Desa Organik, Pertanian Organik

Abstract

Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) is one of the sought-after horticultural commodities and has a high economic value. Potato production in Indonesia is still relatively low compared to potato production in other countries. One obstacle in producing potato is the use of sufficiently high capital in potato seed production activities. Kertasari Subdistrict is one of the areas of potato seed production in West Java, especially in Bandung District. Capital constraints have caused farmers have to look for sources of financing that can meet their needs in order to continuously produce potato seeds. Some farmers rely on formal and non-formal financing sources while some others are able to meet capital needs with personal costs. The purpose of this research is to identify funding sources and potato seeds produced by farmers in Kertasari Subdistrict, Bandung District. This research uses a quantitative research design using a descriptive approach. Data analysis tools used are descriptive analysis using cross tabulation analysis. The results showed that farmers who produced potato seeds in Kertasari Subdistrict, Bandung District with funding sources from commercial banks, relatives or neighbors, and private funds had higher production yields compared to farmers without funding from these sources. Whereas farmers without funding from farmer groups, buyers, and agricultural kiosks, had higher production yields compared to farmers who had funding from these sources.

Abstract

Cabai merah merupakan salah satu komoditas yang memiliki fluktuasi harga yang cukup besar. Fluktuasi harga cabai merah dapat disebabkan oleh besarnya jumlah penawaran dan besarnya jumlah permintaan. Semakin tinggi jumlah penawaran maka harga akan rendah, sedangkan semakin sedikitnya jumlah penawaran harga akan semakin meningkat (ceteris paribus). Harga cabai merah yang sangat fluktuatif menjadikan komoditas ini sulit untuk dapat diprediksi (Murhalis , 2007) . Berdasar sifat dan masalahnya rancangan penelitian ini termasuk deskriptip yaitu untuk mengetahui tinjauan harga caba merah keriting dan disertai statistik deskriptif untuk mengetahui fluktuasi/stabilitas harga cabai merah keriting di sentra produksi dan pasar induk . Penelitian ini menggunakan data time series harga cabai merah pada sentra produksi cabai merah keriting Cikajang Kabupaten Garut dan Pasar Induk Kramat Jati, dengan menggunakan data harga cabai merah keriting harian pada tahun 2014 . Data yang digunakan bersumber dari Dinas Pertanian Tanaman Pangan Jawa Barat dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan program EVIEWS 8. Fluktuasi harga cabai merah kertiitng di ke 2 tempat mengalami fluktuasi harga yang tinggi dari jenis sayuran lainnya. Cabai merah merupakan komoditas yang mengalami fluktuasi harga setiap waktu. Dalam kurun waktu 10 tahun perkembangan harga cabai merah di 2 tempat mengalami fluktuasi dengan rentang yang berbeda. Harga di pasar induk lebih berfluktuasi dari sentra produksi . Hal ini berdasar hasil analisis standar deviasi sentra produksi Cikajang (15165,64) dan Pasar Induk Kramat Jati (18302,01). Ketidakstabilan harga tersebut dikarenakan di pasar mekanisme pasar tidak bekerja, distribusi antar pelaku pasar tidak adil hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pasar cabai merah tidak efisien atau tidak sehat. Pasar tidak sehat ditunjukkan dengan harga terlalu murah akan merugikan produsen, dan harga terlalu mahal merugikan konsumen, hal ini terjadi akibat perubahan penawaran dan permintaan yang menimbulkan fluktuasi harga sehingga fluktuasi harga secara ekonomi akan menyulitkan prediksi bisnis.

Abstract

Persediaan menjadi bagian terpenting pada setiap perusahaan tidak terkecuali pada perusahaan hidroponik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis tingkat persediaan bahan baku rockwool yang optimal agar meminimalisir total biaya persediaan. Rockwool merupakan bahan baku penting yang dibutuhkan pada saat persemaian benih. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober 2019 – Desember 2019 berlokasi di N Farm, Desa Cibogo, Kecamatan Lembang, Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Penelitian ini lakukan dengan teknik wawancara secara langsung dengan bagian koordinator farm dan juga menggunakan data tertulis dalam bentuk dokumen yang diperoleh dari perusahaan. Metode analisis data dengan menggunakan metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ). Metode ini dapat menentukan kuantitas dan frekuensi pemesanan bahan baku rockwool yang optimal sehingga biaya persediaan bahan baku lebih efisien. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan diperoleh bahwa pembelian bahan baku rockwool menurut metode EOQ pada saat periode November 2018 – Oktober 2019 lebih besar daripada kebijakan perusahaan dan kuantitas pembelian bahan baku rockwool optimal periode November 2018 – Oktober 2019 sebesar 90 bal dengan frekuensi pembelian 2 kali. Total biaya persediaan bahan baku rockwool di periode yang sama menurut metode EOQ lebih kecil daripada kebijakan perusahaan dan total biaya menurut metode EOQ sebesar Rp. 889.946,11. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan diperoleh bahwa manajemen persediaan bahan baku rockwool di N Farm selama periode November 2018 – Oktober 2019 belum efisien.
