Abstract

Perception is the stage where information enters a person's mind and is associated with their thoughts, emotions, and individual experiences. Farmers' perceptions of financial institutions reflect their expectations, yet many feel doubtful or hold negative views. This research aims to analyze farmers' negative perceptions of financial institutions and identify the causes of their closure. The study was conducted from June to August 2024 in Koripan Village, Matesih Subdistrict, Karanganyar Regency. The survey method was used in this research. The sampling method applied was proportionate random sampling using Isaac and Michael's formula, with a total sample of 257 farmers, and purposive sampling for selecting the sample from the financial institution's management. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to determine the factors influencing farmers' perceptions, score intervals to categorize the level of negative perception, and descriptive analysis to identify the causes of the institutions' closure. The results of this study show that all independent variables significantly affect farmers' negative perceptions both simultaneously and partially, leading to the closure of financial institutions due to internal and external factors. Distrust, bad experiences, skepticism, and low expectations lead farmers to prefer old practices, even if they are no longer optimal. In the future, financial institutions should conduct widespread socialization, have their management directly supervised by the government, and regenerate members with sufficient financial management skills.

Abstract

The current lifestyle of the younger generation tends to consume more sweet drinks compared to healthy drinks that have many good benefits for the body. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and consumption behaviour towards fermented drinks in Agribusiness Study Program students. The data analysis tool used is the chi-square test. The results showed that the average respondent had a fairly good knowledge of fermented beverages. Many respondents' consumption behaviour consumed fermented milk beverages because they tasted good with a consumption frequency of less than three times per week. Based on the results of the chi-square test showed a significant relationship (Asym. Sig < 0.1) between gender and knowledge about the types, advantages, disadvantages, and benefits of fermented beverages. Gender variables and diseases that are often experienced are also significantly related to the frequency of consumption of fermented drinks. Then, the pocket money variable has a significant relationship with the price of fermented beverages. In addition, for knowledge of types of fermented beverages with consumption behaviour in the form of frequency showed significant relationship results.

Abstract

The micro-food-based industries in Bandung Regency face various challenges that threaten their sustainability. A comprehensive understanding of the characteristics of these industries is essential for formulating policies that support business development, product quality improvement, and market access expansion. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of informal food-based industries in Bandung Regency. The research employed a quantitative design using a survey technique. A total of 115 informal food industry actors were randomly selected as respondents, and data were analyzed descriptively. The findings indicate that most informal business actors are within the productive age group and possess considerable entrepreneurial experience. However, the majority have low levels of education, which limits their managerial and innovative capacities. Most business actors rely on self-financing and source raw materials locally. The main challenges faced include rising raw material costs and declining market demand due to competition and shifting consumer preferences. This study emphasizes the necessity for policy interventions, such as entrepreneurship training, access to financing, and market facilitation to enhance the competitiveness and sustainability of informal food-based industries. Collaborative support between the government and related institutions is essential to overcome existing obstacles and leverage the potential of these industries to contribute to regional economic growth.

Abstract

Girisenang Cooperative is one of the coffee producers in Bandung Regency, West Java. The cooperative sells coffee products in the form of green beans and roasted beans (Kopi Palasari). In 2023, the average monthly sales of Kopi Palasari were 350 kg, while Girisenang Cooperative has the capacity to produce 1000–1500 kg of roasted beans per month. The low sales of Kopi Palasari are attributed to suboptimal marketing activities, particularly digital marketing. This study aims to design an integrated digital marketing strategy for Kopi Palasari using the SOSTAC method, which consists of six stages: situation analysis, objectives, strategy, tactics, action, and control. The study identified the target market for Kopi Palasari as coffee enthusiasts, coffee shops, and Generation X to Generation Z consumers. Kopi Palasari will be positioned as a masstige brand, providing a luxurious and exclusive impression at an affordable price. Based on the situation analysis, Kopi Palasari will adopt a primary strategy of optimizing social media through content marketing and influencer marketing tactics. The optimization of social media aims to increase public awareness of the Kopi Palasari brand. Additionally, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) will be implemented in all consumer interactions with Kopi Palasari's social media and e-commerce platforms.
