Abstract

The number of social media users could be an opportunity to be used as a means of social media marketing for businesses in promoting their products. Warung 1000 Kebun is one of the online stores in Bandung that uses marketing through social media specifically Instagram. This raises the problem of whether choosing Instagram as social media marketing by Warung 1000 Kebun is effective and received a good response from Instagram users, especially followers of Warung 1000 Kebun in purchasing organic vegetable products. In this study, the effectiveness of social media marketing was measured using four social media marketing indicators according to Chris Heuer in Solis (2010), namely context, communication, collaboration, and connection on purchasing decisions of organic vegetables from Warung 1000 Kebun. This research uses a quantitative research design with survey methods. Sampling in this study uses a non-probability sampling technique and uses purposive sampling method with the number of samples set to as many as 100 people. A questionnaire with a Likert scale rating system of 1–5 was used to collect the data. Multiple linear regression carried out using SPSS 20 was the data analysis method.  The results showed that of the four social media marketing indicators, the connection indicator was the most influential followed by the context indicator which had a positive and significant impact on purchasing decisions for organic vegetables at Warung 1000 Kebun.

Abstract

Cohesiveness, leadership style of the farmer group leader and motivation are important in determining the activity of members to achieve the goals of the farmer group itself. This study aims to analyze the effect of cohesiveness, leadership style and motivation on the activeness of members of the Gondang Lestari Farmer Group. This research was conducted in January – February 2022, located in the Gondang Lestari Farmer Group, Alastuwo Village, Poncol District, Magetan Regency. The sampling method used was census with the number of respondents as many as 50 members of farmer groups. Methods of data collection was done by interview, observation and documentation. The data analysis method used was descriptive quantitative method in the form of multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study indicate that the independent variables have a significant effect on the dependent variable together. This means that cohesiveness, leadership style and motivation have an effect on the activeness of members of the Gondang Lestari Farmer Group. Partially, the cohesiveness variable did not affect the activeness of members of the Gondang Lestari Farmer Group, while leadership style and motivation affect the activeness of members of the Gondang Lestari Farmer Group. Suggestions for the future, for farmer group administrators it is necessary to look for more interesting ideas to increase the participation of group members, for example establishing partnerships with companies and for farmer group members, it is necessary to increase activity in developing farmer groups by diligently attending and giving opinions in meetings routinely, paying dues and participating in counseling held as village programs in order to achieve common goals and later be able to support progress in their respective farms.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the level of competition and the similarity of the export structure of Indonesian palm oil products with competing countries in the international market. Secondary data is used in this study which includes export data from Indonesia and its competitors (Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, and Colombia) in 2014-2020 sourced from UN Comtrade. Methods of Analysis to measure the level of competition in the trade of Indonesian palm oil products in the international market using the Export Overlapping Index (IEO) and the Export Similarity Index (ESI) are used to measure how much similarity is in the composition of exports of Indonesian palm oil products in the international market. The results showed that trade in palm oil products before and during the COVID-19 pandemic had a significant increase in the value of the level of similarity in exports from Colombia, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia. The highest level of competition for Indonesian palm oil exports is between Indonesia and Malaysia.

Abstract

Microgreen, especially because there is currently a Covid-19 pandemic that has hit almost all countries. Microgreen cultivation techniques are different from other urban farming and are easier to apply so that people are interested in cultivating them. The results showed that 109 respondents who live in urban areas and are familiar with microgreens, 98.2% have an interest in developing microgreens and the remaining 1.8% are not. The reason respondents are interested in microgreen is because it is easy to apply so as to produce quality vegetables that are good for health and microgreens are believed by the respondents to open up new business opportunities. The price offered on this microgreen is much higher than the price of conventional vegetables in general. This can be a potential business with the middle to upper market segment because microgreens are used as food ingredients such as salads or decorations in food in middle to upper class restaurants. In addition, microgreens can also go to supermarkets where the target consumers are consumers who will be aware and ready to be marketed at premium prices.

Abstract

Problems faced by Farmers in Colomadu District is about the lack of price guarantees and market guarantees. These problems can be overcome by doing partnerships, with agriculture cooperative, for instance. Partnership is a form of cooperation between farmers and cooperative with the principle of mutual benefit. The aims of this study were (1) to describe the partnership between organic rice farmers and the Pertiwi Hijau Multipurpose Cooperative, and (2) to analyze the effect of the partnership to ward the success of organic rice farming. This research was conducted in January 2022 – February 2022, it located in Colomadu District, Karanganyar Regency. The research method used was the census method. The method of determining respondents was chosen by complete enumeration with the number of respondents of 30 farmers. Methods of data collection were done by interview and observation. The data used were primary data and secondary data. The data analysis method used was descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the variables of farming assistance, price guarantee, provision of production facilities and capital loans simultaneously had a significant effect toward the success of farming activity. The variables of farming assistance and credit partially had a significant effect on the success of farming activity. Based on the result, it need to revise the agreement on price guarantees and the provision of production facilities in order to improve farmer’s satisfaction.

Abstract

Market access development for agricultural products has uncoverd various new marketing networks for many local agricultural commodities. Agribusiness tropical fruits, such as mangoes, has gained substantial market potentials in market access development for domestic and global markets. The study explores how relationship marketing amongst agribusiness actors of mango commodity using modern market networks with relational marketing orientation and how value exchange occurs amongst these market actors of mango commodity in modern market chains. An inductive research method was used in this study by employing in-depth interviews, and data were analysed qualitatively using descriptive analysis. The results indicate the marketing transformation of mango commodity using modern market channels, such as supermarket and export markets, related to relationship marketing amongst the market actors that led to more relational marketing. The exchange value that occurred through this relational marketing has proposed market certainty, risk reduction, knowledge sharing amongst market actors to fulfil customer needs, and competitive solutions that benefit the involved business actors. This study proposes theoretical and practical contributions as the basis for concept development and implementation of relational marketing in the agribusiness context.

Abstract

Various efforts have been made by the coffee processing industry to increase the added value of arabica coffee. The research was aimed to analyze the activity in the coffee processing industry which plays a major role in increasing the added value of arabica coffee and calculating the added value of arabica coffee in Tana Toraja Regency. This research was conducted in Mengkendek District, which is an area of Tana Toraja Regency. The sample in this study consisted of the coffee processing industry, namely the Unit Usaha Otonom (UUO) Agribisnis Toraja and Gandangbatu Coffee. Data collection uses survey methods and data is analyzed using qualitative and quantitative approaches. Theories used in data analysis include; (1) Porter method to analyze every activity in the coffee processing industry, (2) Hayami method to calculate the added value of arabica coffee. The results of this study conclude that activities that play a major role in increasing the added value of arabica coffee in Tana Toraja Regency are marketing and sales activities through cooperative relationships and operating activities through processing innovations. The added value of arabica coffee obtained by UUO Agribisnis Toraja is IDR 5,907/kg of green coffee beans and Gandangbatu Coffee gets an added value of IDR 25,729/kg of roasted or ground coffee. The added value obtained was significantly different in the processing of arabica coffee with the dry method and the wet method using the raw material in the form of cherry coffee.Keywords : Hayami method, Porter method, Value activities

Abstract

Tempe chips are processed soybean products that are consumed as a snack which has a high demand in the community, especially in Blora Regency. The demand for tempe chips is influenced by several factors, including the price of tempe chips, the price of onion chips, the price of banana midrib chips, age, consumer income, number of family members, consumer tastes, and time of purchase. This study aimed to analyze the factors that influence the demand for tempe chips and to analyze the elasticity of demand for tempe chips at the Kedung Jenar Tempe Chips Center, Blora Regency. The research location was selected by purposive sampling. The method used is survey method and using 100 respondents. Determination of respondents used accidental sampling. Data were analyzed by multiple linear regression. The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that the independent variables simultaneously had a significant effect on the dependent variable. Partially, the price of tempe chips, the price of onion chips, age, consumer income, number of family members, consumer tastes, and time of purchase affected the demand for tempe chips. While the price of banana midrib chips had no effect on the demand for tempe chips. The price elasticity of tempe chips was 0.371 inelastic so it is included in the category of normal goods. Cross elasticity with onion chips  had an elasticity of 0,258 and banana midrib chips had an elasticity of 0.473 as substitutes. The income elasticity was 0.76.

Abstract

The implementation of farming carried out by farmers must have the right considerations in production in order to obtain the best profit. The best or maximum profit is achieved when the level of production is optimal. To obtain the optimal level of production, producers must take into account the amount of production that is in a position of balance or profit. The purpose of this study was to analyze the profitability and feasibility of rainfed rice farming. This research was conducted in Jagona Village, Pangkajene District, Pangkep Regency. The research population was 148 people and 20% of the population were taken as research samples, namely 30 farmers. Farmer samples were taken using simple random sampling method. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The types of data are qualitative and quantitative data. There are data sources, namely primary and secondary data. The data analysis method used is the analysis of profitability and feasibility of farming. The results of this study indicate a Return on Investment (ROI) of 134.24% > 50% (profit), Break Event Point (BEP) of Rp. 699.310.11 < Rp. 8,689,083.33 (feasible), and Profitability of 134.24% > 3% (feasible). Rainfed lowland rice farming in Jagona Village, Pangkajene District, Pangkep Regency is feasible and profitable

Abstract

Online marketing is not only applied to industrial products. Currently, the trend of buying and selling ornamental plants has penetrated the virtual world, one of which is cactus plants. Cacti Heaven is a cactus shop that has selling its products through online media. In order to reach and retain consumers, Cacti Heaven needs to provide the best products and services. This research aims to describe the characteristics of consumers and determine the level of satisfaction and customer loyalty of Cacti Heaven. Method that used on data processing are descriptive analysis, Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), Importance Performance Analysis (IPA), and loyalty pyramids. The results showed that consumers were very satisfied with the performance of the attributes of Cacti Heaven with a CSI value of 86.40 percent. The results of the IPA analysis show that the attribute that is a priority for improvement is the provision of information. Cacti Heaven's consumer loyalty level has not been said to be loyal because the percentage of committed buyers is smaller than switcher buyers.
