Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the level of aquaculture production Tondano and determine the impact of the production level of the waters of Lake Tondano nutrifikasi . The data collected in this study , consisting of primary data and secondary data . Production data obtained from the questionnaire and interviews to farmers fish there , as well as data obtained from the Department of Fisheries and Village Head Office . Water sampling to determine levels of phosphate in the waters of the lake . Water sampling conducted on six (6 ) locations: Village Ranomerut , Eris Village , Village Paslaten , Leleko Village , Village and Village Paleloan Toulour . Sampling was conducted at six (6 ) points to pay attention to the position of the inlet and outlet of the waters of Lake Tondano . Tondano aquaculture production in 2014 was estimated at 1222.12 tons / year . Number KJT operated as many as 978 units . There was a decrease in aquaculture production annually over a period of 2001 - 2014. Followed by the declining number of KJT on Lake Tondano . Phosphates were donated to the waters of fish farming activities from the rest of the feed pellets . The content of orthophosphate in the waters of Lake Tondano of 0.06 mg / l means the waters of the lake are in a safe condition Tondano not pass the specified limits ( PP RI No. 82 of 2001 ) . The decline in aquaculture production decline followed Tondano phosphorus content in Lake Tondano . Another factor that is expected to also affect the amount of water hyacinth around the lake so that the phosphorus content is also on the wane . keywords : Lake Tondano, Production, Nutrification

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the size stucture, growth pattern, and relative conditions of rabbitfish (Siganus canaliculatus). Sampling was randomly done from the catches of fishermen in fesh condition. The number of fish samples taken for analysis was 61 individuals. Their fin color was yellowish or sometimes reddish purple. Measurements found that the fish samples had length range of 127 mm - 270 mm, and weight range of 21 and 249 g. Males had size range of 131-270 mm long with a body weight of 26-249 g and females had a body length of 127-249 mm, with a  weight range of 21-191 g.Key words: Factor conditions, catches, fishermen, measurements. ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui struktur panjang, berat, pola pertumbuhan dan faktor kondisi relatif ikan Baronang (Siganus canaliculatus). Pengambilan sampel di lapangan  dilakukan dengan metoda sampling yaitu dengan cara mengambil sampel ikan secara acak dari hasil tangkapan nelayan yang masih berada dalam kondisi segar. Jumlah sampel ikan yang diambil untuk dianalisis sebanyak  61 ekor. Hasil pengukuran secara keseluruhan menunjukkan bahwa ikan memiliki kisaran panjang 127 mm - 270 mm, dan berat antara 21 dan 249 g. Jantan  memiliki kisaran panjang 131-270 mm dengan berat tubuh  26-249 g, dan betina memiliki panjang tubuh 127-249 mm, dengan berat tubuh 21-191 gram.Kata kunci: Faktor kondisi, hasil tangkapan, nelayan, pengukuran.

Abstract

A study focusing on density, distribution pattern and morphometrics of gastropods Telescopium telescopium was carried out during the month of December 2013 in the Bakun and Gamlamo villages Jailolo, West Halmahera District, the Province of North Moluccas. The aims of this study are to analyze and to reveal the density, distribution pattern and morphometrics (length-weight relationship) of gastropods Telescopium telescopium. A total of 280 organisms were collected from two stations deployed during the study. The density index for the two stations are 3.48 and 4.77 respectively and those length and diameter  range from 23.0 to 74.9. Distribution pattern on station 1 is dominantly random while station 2 tend to be clustered. Study on length – weight relationship was found to have allometrics growth pattern. This is mean on those two stations the gastropods Telescopium telescopium have weight increment faster than length increment. Environmental parameters seem to have positive contribution on the present on those gastropods considering the sea water temperature, salinity, pH and type of substrates. Keywords: Distribution, morphometrics, density ABSTRAK Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Desember 2013 yang berlokasi di daerah mangrove Desa Bakun dan Desa Gamlamo, Jailolo, Halmahera Barat dengan tujuan menganalisis dan memberikan informasi mengenai kepadatan, distribusi dan morfometrik (hubungan panjang·berat) dari Telescopium telescopium. Hasil pengumpulan sampel yang dilakukan di kedua stasiun diperoleh sebanyak 280 individu (Stasiun I 116 dan Stasiun II 114). Nilai kepadatan untuk kedua stasiun 4,766 · 3,48  dan kisaran panjang dan diameter kedua stasiun 23,0 sampai 74,9. Keduanya memiliki hubungan yang signifikan. Pola sebaran Stasiun I lebih dominan acak dan Stasiun II mengelompok. Uji t digunakan untuk menguji apakah nilai-nilai b sama dengan nilai teoritis 3 atau tidak. Untuk hubungan panjang dan diameter cangkang Stasiun I allometrik karena nilat t hitung lebih besar dari teoritis 1, dan pada Stasiun II isometrik. Untuk hubungan panjang dan barat, keduanya allometrik dengan kata lain pada kedua stasiun memiliki pertumbuhan barat lebih cepat dari pertumbuhan panjang. Faktor lingkungan pada Stasiun I memiliki suhu yang disenangi oleh T. telescopium berkisar antara 28-30 oC, Stasiun II memiliki kondisi suhu yang tinggi berkisar antara 31-36 oC. Salinitas pada Stasiun I lebih tinggi dari Stasiun II tetapi dari kedua stasiun tersebut memiliki tingkat salinitas yang rendah. Nilai pH untuk kedua stasiun masih ada dibatas normaal dengan kisaran 7 sampai 8. Pengamatan substrat yang dilakukan secara visual, pada stasiun I substrat lumpur berpasir dan lumpur bernir sedangkan pada Stasiun II substratnya lumpur berair. Abstract

This study was carried out in Sauk village,  Lolak district, Bolaang Mongondow regency on June 10th – August 11th, 2016, around mangrove ecosystem at the geographic position of 00 50’ 10’’ N and 1230 56’ 40’’E. It was aimed to a) assess the ecological condition of the mangrove ecosystem of Sauk village based upon the community structure and (b) estimate the economic value of the mangrove ecosystem from direct and indirect benefit. Results found that the ecological value of the mangrove ecosystem was categorized as “rare” (<1000 trees/Ha), with low diversity index (< 2), and Sonneratia alba had very important role with the highest IVI. Total economic value was IDR. 1,116,830,000 per year based upon the benefit value.Keywords : economic benefit, ecology, mangrove ecosystem, Sauk village. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Sauk Kec, Lolak Kab. Bolaang Mongondow pada tanggal 10 juni–11 Agustus 2016, di sekitaran kawasan ekosistem mangrove Desa Sauk yang terletak pada posisi geografis N 00 50’ 10’’ dan E 1230 56’ 40’’. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah : (a) Menilai kondisi ekologi ekosistem mangrove di Desa Sauk berdasarkan struktur komunitas. (b) Menghitung nilai ekonomi ekosistem mangrove berdasarkan nilai guna langsung dan tidak langsung. Nilai ekologi  ekosistem mangrove di Desa Sauk dikategorikan “jarang” (<1000 pohon per Ha), dengan indeks keanekaragaman  rendah (< 2) dan jenis yang yang sangat berperan adalah Sonneratia alba yang memliki INP tertinggi. NILAI EKONOMI SUMBERDAYA PERIKANAN DI SULAWESI UTARA (Studi Kasus Ikan Cakalang, Katsuwonus pelamis)1 Economic Value of Fisheries Resources in North Sulawesi (Case Study of Skipjack Tuna, Katsuwonus Pelamis) Keren W Lumi2, Eddy Mantjoro3, Max Wagiu3   ABSTRACT   Skipjack tuna or by local term called ikan Cakalang were recognized as a mayor fish resource landed in several producing area of North Sulawesi Province. This fish species have a great contributions to the local and regional economy as it were used as raw material for various fish processing industry such as frozen fish, simple smoked fish, katsuobushi, and skipjack canning plants. Skipjack fish has several trade name depend on the market area. In North Sulawesi market area is called cakalang while skipjack tuna known as the International  trade name. Economic values of skipjack  tuna can be trace back  through micro and macro economics as well as from fisheries resources economics point of view. Based on this frame of mind than the present study is focus on the analysis of economic values of skipjack in term of its contribution on  the local economy activities such as work absorbtion, fishing industry, fish processing industry, auxiliary industry and marketing institutions created to handle this fish resources. The research performed during the period of April up  to September 2012. Bitung city was selected as the area of research based on  the facts that this location have long been the mayor skipjack tuna fishing base as well as the center of fish processing industries  which using skipjack tuna as their raw material. The result of study indicated that skipjack fish resources have a great economic value in term of creating investments in various aspects of economy in North Sulawesi province particularly its contribution in the economy of Bitung city administration area.   Keywords : Fisheries resources economics, skipjack tuna, economic value   ABSTRAK Skipjack tuna atau yang disebut ikan cakalang dikenal  sebagai  sumberdaya  ikan terbanyak didaratkan pada beberapa daerah produksi di Provinsi Sulawesi Utara. Spesies ikan ini memberikan kontribusi besar sekali baik bagi perekono-mian skala lokal maupun karena berfungsi sebagai bahan baku bagi berbagai  industri pengolahan seperti ikan cakalang asap, Ikan kayu (katsuobushi), dan  pabrik pengolahan ikan kaleng. Spesies skipjack memiliki sejumlah nama  dagang tergantung daerah pemasaran. Di pasaran wilayah Sulawesi Utara di kenal dengan nama dagang ikan Cakalang sedangkan istilah skipjack tuna di pakai sebagai nama dagang internasional. Nilai ekonomi Ikan Cakalang dapat  ditelusuri melalui sudut pandang ekonomi mikro dan makro serta ilmu ekonomi sumberdaya perikanan. Bertolak dari kerangka berpikir tersebut  maka  penelitian   1 Bagian dari skripsi 2 Mahasiswa Program Studi Agrobisnis Perikanan FPIK-UNSRAT 3 Staf pengajar Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan Universitas Sam Ratulangi kali ini diarahkan pada upaya analisis nilai ekonomi sumberdaya ikan Cakalang  dalam bentuk seberapa besar kontribusinya terhadap kegiatan perekonomian  lokal seperti penyerapan tenaga kerja, dorongan investasi di sektor penang-kapan, pengolahan, industri penunjang dan terbentuknya lembaga pemasaran  yang menangani sumberdaya ikan ini. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan pada selang waktu antara bulan Mei hingga September 2012. Kota Bitung telah dipilih  seba-gai lokasi penelitian berdasarkan fakta bahwa daerah ini telah lama menjadi  basis armada penangkapan ikan cakalang dan juga sebagai pusat industri  pengolahan yang memanfaatkan ikan cakalang sebagai bahan baku utamanya. Abstract

Ecotourism is viewed as an economic incentive for the communities living near the protected areas, as well as a tool to enhance their participation to preserve an ecosystem. Pasirpanjang Ecotourism Area in Lembeh Island has been developed since some part of its’ waters were promoted as a Coastal and Small Island Conservation Area of Bitung City in 2014. The aims of this study are to estimate the economic value of Pasirpanjang Ecotourism Area using Zonal Travel Cost Method and resulting a policy recommendation to develop Pasirpanjang Ecotourism. This study was conducted in Pasirpanjang village, Sub-district of South Lembeh on May 2018. The result showed the total economic value of Pasirpanjang Ecotourism is Rp. 1,610,786,697 per annum. The result also indicated the importance of ecotourism concept to be considered by government in managing mangrove ecosystems. The potential value of the area of Pasirpanjang Ecotourism could be considered as a long term economic asset and for the sustainability of the conservation as well.Key Words: Economic Value, Pasirpanjang Ecotourism Area, Economic Incentive, Zonal Travel Cost MethodABSTRAKEkowisata dipandang sebagai insentif ekonomi bagi masyarakat yang berada di sekitar area perlindungan, serta menjadi alat untuk meningkatkan partisipasi mereka dalam upaya pelestarian suatu ekosistem. Ekowisata Pasirpanjang di Pulau Lembeh telah dikembangkan sejak wilayah perairan di sekitarnya dicadangkan sebagai Kawasan Konservasi Wilayah Pesisir dan Pulau-Pulau Kecil Kota Bitung pada tahun 2014. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menaksir nilai ekonomi dari Ekowisata Pasirpanjang menggunakan Metode Biaya Perjalanan Zonasi (Zonal Travel Cost Method) dan menghasilkan rekomendasi kebijakan untuk pengembangan kawasan Ekowisata Pasirpanjang. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kelurahan Pasirpanjang di bagian selatan Pulau Lembeh pada bulan Mei 2018. Berdasarkan estimasi nilai ekonomi dari Ekowisata Pasirpanjang adalah sebesar Rp. 1.610.786.697 per tahun. Estimasi nilai tersebut menunjukan pentingnya konsep ekowisata sebagai pertimbangan oleh pemerintah dalam mengelola ekosistem mangrove. Abstract

This study was aimed to find out the size distribution of scad (Decapterus spp) caught by Likupang fishermen and to find out theirgrowth patterns. Fish samples were collected by traditional purse seine fishermen in Likupang waters. Total catches were 139 individuals consisting of 89 D. macarellus and 50 D. macrosoma.The former was dominated by size of 19.2-20.6 cm, while the latter was dominated by size of 13.1-14.1 cm. Length-weight relationship analysis showed that the growth patterns of D. macarellus and D. Macrosoma were isometric meaning that the increase in length is consistent with weight gain.Keywords: Likupang, Decapterus spp and growth patternsABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui distribusi ukuran ikan layang (Decapterus spp) yang ditangkap oleh nelayan Likupang and untuk menduga pola pertumbuhannya. Sampel ikan diperoleh nelayan tradisional pukat cincin di perairan Likupang.Total hasil tangkapan adalah 139 ekor terdiri dari 89 ekor  D. macarellus dan 50 D. macrosoma. Hasil tangkapan D. macarellus didominasi oleh kelas ukuran 19,2-20,6 cm, sedangkan D. macrosomadidominasi oleh kelas ukuran 13,1-14,1 cm. Analisis hubungan panjang berat menunjukkan bahwa pola pertumbuhan ikan D. macarellusdan D. macrosoma bersifat isometrik yang artinya pertambahan panjang selaras dengan pertambahan berat.Kata kunci: Likupang, Decapterus spp dan Pola pertumbuhan

Abstract

The marine sponge collected from tropical coral reefs in Manado North Sulawesi Indonesia was screened for antimicrobial activities. In the screening program to search for antituberculotic inhibitors, the result found that the ethanol extract ODS fractions 4 – 6 with concentration 5 mg/mL of an Indonesian marine sponge Auletta sp. was exhibited inhibitory activity against nonpathogenic Mycobacterium smegmatis at concentration 10, 20, 30µg/disc each fraction respectively. Fractions 4 - 5 with concentration 10µg/disc were most active, the inhibition zone 11, 12 mm, respectively.Keywords:  marine sponge, antimicrobial, antituberculosis, Mycobacterium smegmatis

Abstract

Ascidians are marine invertebrates that have been classified with the subphylum Urochordata (Tunicata). These organisms are very important because they contribute a lot to the stability of the marine ecosystem. This study aims to determine the species composition, density, ecological index (diversity, uniformity, dominance), distribution patterns, and substrate occupied by Ascidian. Data were collected at Mike’s Point Bunaken waters at two depths 7 m and 14 m. The method used a direct observation along the 50 m and 2 m width belt transect. In this study, the transect was applied parallel to the coastline at each depth, where 3 replications were performed. The results show  26 species consisting of 13 species at a depth of 7 m and 22 species at a depth of 14 m were identified. The average density of each species was  0.05 ind/m2 at both depths. Diversity Index of 1.76 at 7 m depth and 2.24 at 14 m depth was determined. Uniformity Index was 0.68 at 7 m depth and 0.73 at 14 m depth. Dominant Index of 0.67 at 7 m depth and 0.88 at 14 m depth was also determined. The distribution pattern of species was dominated by uniform distribution, and the substrate most commonly occupied by Ascidianns was dead coral overgrown with algae.Keywords: Ascidian, composition and density, ecological index, distribution pattern, substrate  AbstrakAscidian adalah Avertebrata laut yang termasuk dalam subfilum Urochordata (Tunicata). Organisme ini sangat penting karena mereka banyak berkontribusi pada stabilitas ekosistem laut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan komposisi spesies, kepadatan, indeks ekologi (keanekaragaman, keseragaman, dominasi), pola distribusi, dan substrat yang ditempati oleh Ascidian. Data dikumpulkan di Perairan Mike's Point Bunaken pada dua kedalaman 7 m dan 14 m. Metode yang digunakan adalah pengamatan langsung sepanjang transek sabuk 50 m dan lebar 2 m. Transek dipasang sejajar dengan garis pantai dan pada setiap kedalaman.  Pengambilan data  dilakukan 3 ulangan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah  ditemukan  26 spesies yang terdiri dari 13 spesies pada kedalaman 7 m dan 22 spesies pada kedalaman 14 m. Kepadatan total Ascidian pada kedalaman 7 m (0,67 ind/m2) dan pada kedalaman 14 m (1.11 ind/m2). Indeks Keanekaragaman adalah 1,76 pada kedalaman 7 m dan 2,24 pada kedalaman 14 m. Indeks Keseragaman adalah 0,68 pada kedalaman 7 m dan 0,73 pada kedalaman 14 m. Indeks Dominansi 0,67 pada kedalaman 7 m dan 0,88 pada kedalaman 14 m. Pola distribusi spesies didominasi oleh pola distribusi yang seragam, dan substrat yang paling umum ditempati oleh Ascidian adalah karang mati yang ditumbuhi alga.Kata Kunci: Ascidian, komposisi dan kepadatan, indeks ekologi, pola sebaran, substrat

Bay of Labuan Uki located in Lolak district, Bolaang Mongondow regency, North Sulawesi province has the potential of coastal area and sea, especially mangrove ecosystem to be used and preserved for the public welfare.Based on that, the purpose of the research is  to (1) analyze the community structure and mangroves forest area at the Bay of Labuan Uki (2) analyze the perception Bay of Labuan Uki coastal area societies in the utilization of mangrove ecosystems. The results of this research found that 5 families mangrove Avicenniaceae, Rhizophoraceae, Sonneratiaceae, Arecaceae and Myrsinaceae and 14 species, mangrove area is now 125.49 Ha with the conditions of thickness and density of mangrove largely been sparse due to logging for over functioned. The public perception most desire sustainable use, so need for rehabilitation, socialization to raise public awareness, economic alternatives for utilizing mangrove either directly or indirectly, and making of regulations related to the mangrove forests such as the Village Regulations together (Sauk, Baturapa II, Labuan Uki) and or the Local Regulation of Bolaang Mongondow Regency to maintain and preserve the mangrove forests at the Bay of Labuan Uki today.Keywords: Mangrove, Public Perception, Bay of Labuan Uki. AbstrakTeluk Labuan Uki terletak di Kecamatan Lolak, Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow, Provinsi Sulawesi Utara memiliki potensi wilayah pesisir dan laut terutama ekosistem mangrove untuk dimanfaatkan dan dilestarikan demi kesejahteraan masyarakat. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Menganalisis struktur komunitas dan luasan hutan mangrove di kawasan Teluk Labuan Uki (2) Menganalisis persepsi masyarakat pesisir Teluk Labuan Uki dalam pemanfaatan ekosistem mangrove. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan 5 famili mangrove yaitu Avicenniaceae, Rhizophoraceae, Sonneratiaceae, Arecaceae dan Myrsinaceae dan 14 spesies, luasan mangrove saat ini 125,49 Ha dengan  kondisi ketebalan serta kerapatan mangrove  sebagian besar sudah jarang akibat penebangan untuk dialihfungsikan. Persepsi masyarakat sebagian besar menginginkan pemanfaatan yang berkelanjutan, maka perlu adanya rehabilitasi, sosialisai untuk membangkitkan kesadaran masyarakat, alternatif ekonomi bagi yang memanfaatkan mangrove baik secara langsung maupun tidak dan pembuatan regulasi terkait hutan mangrove berupa Peraturan Desa bersama (Sauk, Baturapa II, Labuan Uki) dan atau Peraturan Daerah Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow untuk menjaga dan melestarikan hutan mangrove di Teluk Labuan Uki saat ini.Kata kunci : Mangrove, Persepsi Masyarakat, Teluk Labuan Uki.
