Picky eating is a common issue among preschool children, potentially impacting their nutritional status and development. This study aimed to examine teacher-led strategies in addressing picky eating behaviors among children aged 4–6 years in early childhood education (PAUD) settings in the Mawar Cluster, Moga District, Indonesia. A sequential explanatory mixed-methods design was employed. Quantitative data were collected from 36 identified picky eaters through anthropometric measurements (BAZ) at baseline and after a 12-month school-based supplementary feeding program (PMTAS). Additional data included responses from 14 teachers and 36 parents using the Children’s Eating Behaviour Questionnaire (CEBQ). Qualitative data were gathered via interviews, classroom observations, and documentation, and analyzed thematically. The proportion of children with normal nutritional status increased from 86.1% to 91.6%, with improvements noted in undernutrition and overweight cases. Teachers employed strategies such as integrating nutrition education into thematic learning (e.g., songs, role-play), creative food presentation, communal eating routines, and close collaboration with parents. These efforts were reinforced at home through adapted lunchbox practices and consistent communication. The integration of pedagogical approaches with parental involvement effectively improved children’s food acceptance and nutritional outcomes. The findings support the importance of structured, enjoyable, and collaborative strategies in addressing picky eating in PAUD settings. These results offer practical implications for teacher training and the enhancement of school-based nutrition interventions in early childhood education.

The declining ability of younger generations to understand and use regional languages is a growing concern, driven by globalization and the dominance of national languages in formal education. In Pesisir Timur Aceh, the Tamiang Malay language, which plays a vital role in preserving cultural identity and transmitting local wisdom, is increasingly marginalized. This study investigates the integration of Tamiang Malay into the local content curriculum at SMA Negeri 1 Seruway as a strategy to address this linguistic decline. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, involving classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with teachers, students, and community leaders, and documentation analysis of teaching materials. Data were analyzed through reduction, categorization, and verification, with triangulation to ensure credibility. The findings reveal that Tamiang Malay integration is implemented contextually through the use of textbooks, modules, and digital media infused with cultural values. Teaching strategies emphasize communicative and experiential learning, including dialogue sessions, pantun (rhyme) competitions, and folk theater performances. These methods have improved students’ comprehension of traditional vocabulary such as sidu, leren, tibun/laboh, gemane, nyambat, and pedeh, which were previously at risk of disappearing. This study concludes that integrating regional languages into the school curriculum, supported by culturally responsive pedagogy, is an effective approach to revitalizing local language use. The initiative at SMA Negeri 1 Seruway demonstrates the critical role of formal education in sustaining linguistic and cultural heritage in an increasingly globalized society.

This phenomenological qualitative research aims to explore the learning strategies used by Islamic Religious Education lecturers in building the character of religious inclusion in the aspects of knowledge, feelings, and aspects of doing. The research informants comprised 15 lecturers who teach religious subjects at the Islamic Religious Education Study Program IAIN Curup. Data was collected using semi-structured interviews. The data collected was analyzed in three steps: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing and verification. The validity of the data was checked using triangulation of technical sources. The results show that learning strategies to build character in religious intelligence can be carried out not only by providing knowledge and understanding. However, it must be accompanied by the development of attitudes, feelings, skills, and training to cooperate and provide students with real-life experience in a plural society.

Despite extensive research on technology integration in Islamic education, few studies examine its effectiveness through systematic learning theories. A notable gap exists in applying Richard Mayer's Multimedia Learning Theory to Islamic educational contexts. This qualitative study explores the impact of multimedia-based learning on teaching effectiveness in Islamic education. Data were collected from 14 participants, including teachers, students, and school administrators at Purwokerto State Junior High School 2, through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. Thematic analysis was employed to interpret the data. Findings indicate that multimedia tools enhance student engagement and conceptual understanding, consistent with Mayer’s principles. However, implementation is hindered by insufficient infrastructure and limited digital competence among educators. The study highlights that while multimedia learning holds significant potential for improving Islamic education, its success depends on institutional support, technological readiness, and teacher training. To fully leverage multimedia in Islamic education, stakeholders must address infrastructural and pedagogical challenges. Further research is recommended to develop context-specific strategies across diverse Islamic educational settings.

Textbooks play a vital role in supporting learning and instructional delivery, particularly under Indonesia’s Merdeka Curriculum, which emphasizes not only academic standards but also the development of 21st-century competencies. This study evaluates the feasibility of Grade XII Geography (Phase F) textbooks and their integration of Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Project-Based Learning (PJBL), and 4C skills—critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration. A quantitative content analysis was conducted on three widely used textbooks, selected purposively from senior high schools in Jambi City. The evaluation used a rubric based on national curriculum standards (BSKAP), textbook assessment frameworks, and 4C competency indicators. Each textbook was scored across five content feasibility standards, PBL/PJBL integration, and 4C skill representation. All textbooks demonstrated high feasibility, averaging 93% across content quality indicators. Book C exhibited the most comprehensive integration of PBL, PJBL, and 4C skills, offering diverse activities and assessment formats. Book A was strongest in fostering critical thinking, while Book B emphasized communication and collaboration. However, inconsistencies were noted in environmental engagement, digital resource use, and visual quality, particularly in Book B. While the textbooks align with curriculum objectives, refinements are needed to fully support innovative, student-centered learning. Recommendations include incorporating authentic environmental tasks, enhancing digital interactivity, and expanding project diversity. The study is limited by regional scope and rubric subjectivity; future research should include Grades X and XI and investigate links to student learning outcomes.

The competition in Indonesia’s higher education sector is intensifying, particularly between State Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKIN) and Public Universities (PTU). To remain competitive, institutions like IAIN Kerinci must implement effective marketing strategies. This study examines the application of the 7Ps marketing mix at IAIN Kerinci to enhance its institutional competitiveness. This research employed a qualitative library research method, using the 2021 IAIN Kerinci Self-Evaluation Report (LED) as the primary data source. The analysis was conducted using the 7Ps marketing framework—product, price, place, promotion, people, process, and physical evidence—and was complemented by a SWOT analysis to assess implementation effectiveness. Additionally, interviews with selected respondents were conducted to enrich the findings. IAIN Kerinci has implemented a well-rounded marketing strategy. Key initiatives include diversification of academic programs, soft skill development, and provision of career and counseling services. Tuition is aligned with perceived value, and the campus’s strategic location enhances accessibility. Continuous professional development for faculty and staff ensures high competence. Service delivery is structured and supported by adequate physical infrastructure. Promotional efforts involve partnerships with local schools, public engagement, and digital outreach through social media. The application of the 7Ps strategy has significantly improved educational service quality and institutional appeal. Continued refinement and adaptation of this strategy are recommended to address evolving challenges in the higher education landscape.
