Abstract

This experimental research aims to find out whether or not: 1) the probing-prompting learning model affects learning achievement, 2) the self-efficafy affects learning achievement, and 3) the model affects the interaction between the learning model and student’s self-efficacy on learning outcomes. The population in this study were all third grade students of Christian Elementary School Eben Haezer Salatiga as many as 72 students. The sampling technique used Cluster Random Sampling and obtained by grade IIIA students as experimental class used probing-prompting learning model and class IIIC as control class using conventional learning model, with each consists of 24 students. Both models are used in science learning on natural resource materials. The instuments used were the test of science learning achievement and questionnaire about student self-efficacy. Data analysis included descriptive and inferential analysis consisting of normality test, homogenity test with Levene's, early equilibrium test with independent sample t test, and hypothesis test with Anava. The whole test was performed with SPSS calculation tool at 0.05 significance level. The results of the hypothesis testing concluded: 1) there was no effect of probing prompting learning model on students' learning achievements; 2) there was an effect of self-efficacy to the learning achievements; the result of student learning with high self-efficacy category is better (higher) than the moderate and low self-efficacy, and student’s learning result with moderate self-efficacy category was better than the ones with low self-efficacy; 3) There was no effect on interaction between the learning model and self-efficacy on student science learning outcomes.

Abstract

The differences in social, religious, and cultural status make an impact on social attitudes, the cooperative systems, and how to make friends in school. Efforts to harmonize and unify the diversity of students in schools today is integrated with multicultural education. The purpose of this research is to describe the effectiveness of multicultural education implementation with the help of pictorial riddle method to increase the value of creativity, and friendly/communicative character. In this research, the application of multicultural education is carried out in thematic integrated learning of social and natural science in grade 3 semester 2. The quasi experiment design with control group used pre-test and post-test. The result showed that multicultural education, aided with pictorial riddle method increased the value of creative and friendly/communicative character. The creative character in the experimental class increased significantly from the pretest score of 69 to 85 in the posttest, with the gain of 0.53 in the medium criterion. The increase of friendly/communicative value in the pretest experimental class was 70, increased to 80 at posttest, with the gain of 0,31 in medium criterion.

Abstract

Education can not be separated from two main factors; teacher and student. In the absence of either of these two factors, it is essentially not education. In Indonesia, education is still far from what is expected. This can be seen from the fact that there are difficulties of the graduates achieving decent work result in accordance with the level of education they are in. One of the causes of the low quality of education in Indonesia is because the competence of teachers as educators is still considered low when compared with the standards that have been prepared. This article will discuss the influence of teacher competence on student competence, especially in Mathematics learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine: (1) the difference of the science process skills of students learning using group workshop method with students using the discussion method; (2) differences in the condition above, after the ability of creative thinking covariable is controlled; and (3) the contribution of creative thinking covariable towards the science process skills of students. This experimental research used the post-test only control group design, with the population of 210 students of grade XI SMA Negeri 7 Kota Kupang. The total samples were 140 students, distributed in 2 experimental classes and 2 control classes. The data was collected by observing the science process skills using creative thinking skill test. The data were analyzed in descriptive and inferential statistics using one-way covariance analysis (Anacova). The result indicated that: (1) there was a significant difference of science process skills between the students learning using the group workshop method with students learning using the discussion method with an F value of 50,964; p ≤ 0.05.; (2) Having controlled the student’s creative thinking ability, there was a significant difference between student’s science process skills among students who enrolled in group workshop method with the students enrolled in the discussion method; where F=17.822; p ≤ 0,05. (3) Creative thinking ability contributed to the science process skills with the coefficient of determination equals to r2=(0,430)2 = 0,185 or 18,5%. The results indicate that the application of group workshop methods has positive effect on improving students' science process skills and creative thinking skills.

Abstract

Program ini dicanangkan Disperindag Jabar bekerjasama dengan Unpad untuk membentuk wirausaha baru. Materi utama pelatihan adalah Design Thinking. Namun banyak peserta mengeluhkan pesan tidak dapat diterima dengan baik, dikarenakan penyampaian pesan kurang jelas. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui sejauhmana hubungan antara pelatihan Workshop Design Thinking for Start-Up Business Development oleh Universitas Padjadjaran dengan sikap peserta terhadap kewirausahaan. Teori yang digunakan adalah Elaboration Likelihood Model oleh Petty dan Cacioppo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Random Sampling, Populasi penelitian adalah peserta pelatihan angkatan 27 dan 28 dan menghasilkan sampel 65 orang. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan adalah terdapat hubungan yang cukup berarti antara Pelatihan Workshop Design Thinking for Start-Up Business Development oleh Universitas Padjadjaran dengan sikap peserta terhadap kewirausahaan. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan materi pelatihan, kredibilitas pelatih, metode pelatihan yang baik cukup dapat mempengaruhi kognisi, afeksi, dan konasi peserta.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh deskripsi kemampuan higher order thinking skills HOTS dengan ditinjau dari Pelaksanaan pembelajaran konsep Geometri dengan menggunakan model Problem Based Learning. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 50 mahasiswa calon guru SD. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengimplementasikan model problem based learning. Mahasiswa medapatkan permasalahan yang diberikan guru, selanjutnya berdiskusi dalam kelompok dan memberikan kesempatan kepada mahasiswa untuk mengemukakan pendapat atau jalan pikiran secara lisan. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan hasil dari proses berpikir mahasiswa, tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah, dan wawancara. Analisis data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tahap-tahap yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan menarik kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan model Problem Based Learning mengikuti tahapan yang terdiri atas penyajian masalah, perencanaan penyelesaian masalah, penyelidikan masalah, penyajian hasil, dan menganalisis dan evaluasi.

Abstract

Poetry as a literature work which is a manifestation of human culture that is full of life value, so it is very relevant for character building. The aim of this research is to describe character value and how to implemented on literature study at school of poetry “Bulan Ruwah” from Subagio Sastrowardoyo. This qualitative research applies the description method and using content analyisis. The data of this research is Subagio Sastrowardoyo’s poetry “Bulan Ruwah”. The data analysis techique was referenced technique and recorded technique, using stylistic approach. It is found that there are three values of characters in the poetry “Bulan Ruwah”.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar Matematika siswa kelas 4 di SD Gugus Patimura dalam pembelajaran menggunakan model Problem Based Learning dan Discavery Learning. Jenis penelitian menggunakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen soal tes yang telah dilakukan uji reliabilitas dan validitas item soalnya. Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji ANCOVA menunjukkan hasil sgnifikansi/probabilitas 0,00 < 0,05, artinya H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Maknanya bahwa Problem Based Learning memberikan dampak yang lebih tinggi secara signifikan dibandingkan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning. Simpulan tersebut didukung temuan rata-rata nilai menggunakan model Problem Based Learning adalah 80,24 sedangkan model Discovery Learning sebesar 71,87. Berdasarkan simpulan penelitian ini disarankan agar para guru SD menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to prove that the transformational leadership style can be applied and to describe how it is applied in Early Childhood Education management in Sidorejo District of Salatiga. This descriptive qualitative research used the sampling using technique purposive. Techniques of collecting data using interviews, observation and documentation. Many phenomena researchers find in some kindergartens in the city of Salatiga are examples: many teachers resigned each year, they lack of motivation and awareness of their duties as teachers or perform tasks only because of rewards or punishment, and lack of trust and loyalty to the institution school. With the implementation of this transformational leadership style, it provides some positive impacts, principals being role models, encouraging subordinate performance, harmonizing the work environment, empowering employees, acting on the value system, continuously improving their capabilities, and having the ability to cope with complex situations. So with this study, the authors hope this transformational leadership style can be applied in school institutions that have not used this style of leadership, especially early childhood institutions because the results show that the transformational leadership style is very effective applied to early childhood education management.

Abstract

Studi kasus ini terfokus pada pembelajaran menulis teks cerpen berdasar pada Kurikulum 2013 di SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta . Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, dengan strategi studi kasus terpancang tunggal. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, analisis dokumen, dan wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada tahap perencanaan pembelajaran menulis teks cerpen, guru melakukan langkah pengkajian terhadap silabus. Berdasarkan silabus tersebut selanjutnya guru menyusun Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP). Guru bahasa Indonesia di SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta telah memiliki perangkat pembelajaran yang lengkap. Perangkat pembelajaran tersebut yaitu: (1) Silabus Revisi Kurikulum 2013 dari pemerintah; (2) RPP menulis teks cerpen yang memiliki komponen susuai dengan Permendikbud Nomor 22 tahun 2016; dan (3) Analisis SKL, KI dan KD. Pada tahap pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran, diawali dengan pembelajaran menulis cerpen melalui penerapkan teknik parafrase lagu populer serta memanfaatkan penggunaan media audio visual berupa video. Sedangkan pada tahap penilaian pembelajaran dilakukan dengan menggunakan penilaian proses pembelajaran dan penilaian hasil belajar menulis teks cerpen yang mengacu pada Permendikbud Nomor 23 Tahun 2013.
