Abstract

In the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 which caused the information to be easily spread, it turned out to have a bad impact, which led to the birth of the post-truth era. The post-truth era is an era in which objective facts become blurred because of broad public opinion. This makes it easy to spread hooks and expressions of hatred in society. The high perpetrators of hoax distribution and expressions of hatred make a legal solution needed that not only focuses on the deterrent effect for the perpetrators but the recovery of the community in its original condition. To restore the community's condition to its original condition, a restorative justice approach is used, one of which is through mediation by the police. This article will discuss, firstly related to the concept of mediation of penalties by the police in Indonesia and secondly it will discuss the approach of mediation of penalties by the Indonesian police in the handling of criminal acts of hate speech in electronicmedia. This article is a legal article that uses a statute approach, conceptual approach, and case approach. Based on the analysis in this article, it was found first the police nowdasy have an authority to solve the problem with restorative justice secondly that the first approach that pollice need to use in handling hate speech is by mediating in order to realize restorative justice by police agencies in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of leverage as a mediator of the effect of capital structure on firm value, as well as to partially examine the capital structure of leverage and firm value in the mining sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The population in this study amounted to 62 companies obtained using the purposive sampling method during the 2019-2021 period and based on predetermined criteria, a sample of 14 companies was obtained from 2019-2021 so that the total sample was 42 observation periods. In solving problems and hypotheses, method used is path analysis. The results of the study show the role of leverage as a perfect mediator, in the sense that the effect of capital structure on firm value is largely determined by leverage, then partially capital structure, leverage has no significant effect on firm value, but the effect of capital structure on leverage has a positive and significant effect on the mining sector. on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2019-2021.

Abstract

Since the outbreak of the Corona virus which shocked the world, numerous countries have enacted policies to restrict its spread. The Indonesian government has undertaken several initiatives, including the introduction of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB). This policy resulted in the implementation of online learning. In case study research at UNISMA Bekasi, the evaluation of online learning results based on the experiences of researchers and data from several tenured lecturers revealed a decline in quality. This study employed a qualitative methodology with a phenomenological-participatory approach in which the researchers were also participants in online learning process. The findings show that the quality of responses to questions on the Mid-Semester Examination (UTS) and the Final Semester Examination (UAS) was deemed by some lecturers to be significantly dependent on the capacity of students to download and copy-paste from the internet. The researchers discovered some online responses to UTS and UAS questions that were irrelevant to the questions’ intended purposes. This was also observed in students whose grades for a series of theoretical courses appeared to be good and whose total GPA was satisfactory, but somehow, they had difficulties answering examiners’ questions during the oral defense of their undergraduate dissertation proposal. In conclusion, the GPA derived from online learning outputs cannot be considered as a measure of students’ theoretical mastery. The issue demands a more inventive, communicative, and collaborative online learning system to address the shortcomings of the online learning process. It is anticipated that mastery of theory will enhance students’ capacity to apply it in scientific and everyday settings.

Abstract

One way to improve tourism is to take advantage of information and communication technology advances. Smart Tourism is a tourism development that focuses on the application of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in an integrated manner with tourism programs. The purpose of the research is to study the concepts of smart tourism and how to apply them to the tourist area of Lake Toba, North Sumatra. The research method used in this study is a qualitative approach. The study on the concept of Smart Tourism was conducted using a literature review and discussion with several related resource persons. The city/district government in the Lake Toba tourist area of North Sumatra is now innovating to develop every tourism potential, both in terms of infrastructure development to smart branding as one of the smart tourism programs in promoting tourist destinations.

Abstract

Vegetables are a good food, especially to meet the needs of vitamins and dietary fiber. However, in urban areas, there is very little land to develop vegetable farming. Hydroponic vertical planting system can be a solution. Pakcoy plants have growth that only takes 40 to 45 days to reach the ideal harvest age. The use of a greenhouse is also suitable for better pest control. However, the greenhouse has the characteristic of storing heat that it absorbs up to 5 degrees Celsius hotter than the outside temperature. The use of greenhouses with temperature control can accelerate the growth of vegetables. Based on this problem, making temperature regulation very necessary, the way is to adjust the rotation speed of the cooling fan using the fuzzy logic method so that the main goal is to save energy and air with a lower temperature can be flowed. The use of this hydroponic greenhouse module is proven to be able to maintain the temperature not much higher than the outside temperature. Comparison of fuzzy logic output values using Matlab software and fuzzy logic output values using PLC has an average error value of 0.27% for fan 1 and 0.35% for fan 2. The performance of the fuzzy logic method used can also be said to be good with an average response time of 61.8 seconds. With the performance of the system, the environment of the greenhouse can be suitable for the plant to grow optimally.

Abstract

The aim of this article is to use exploratory factor analysis to create a consumer service quality instrument with the help of google form that meets the criteria of valid, reliable, and high fit model. This is a quantitative study that the survey method. A cross-sectional survey was used as the research design. The study's sample size was 200 people who were chosen at random using a simple random sampling technique. A consumer service quality questionnaire was used as the instrument. This instrument was analyzed using Exploratory Factor Analysis techniques. The results revealed that the customer service quality instrument model based on the EFA analysis was already in the fit criteria, that each item had a loading factor greater than 0.05 in addition to item A1, and that the instrument indicator items were declared valid in general. According to the results of the reliability test, the instrument is in the very reliable category.

Abstract

Intellectual capital has been identified as the fundamental source of wealth creation and firm sustainability. This is accomplished through the application of what individuals currently know as well as the invention of new information, which is a source of organizational competitive advantage. The accumulation of new information is the means by which this goal can be achieved. In this piece of work, an attempt is made to study the role of intellectual capital as a source of competitive advantage by conducting a theoretical-conceptual evaluation of a significant amount of vocabulary. This evaluation is carried out in order to study the role of intellectual capital as a source of competitive advantage. The key insights that have been gleaned from the research that has been conducted up to this point and that has been published point to the significance of intangible assets in the process of cultivating a sustainable competitive advantage for a company. An investigation of the components that contribute to intellectual capital as a possible source of competitive advantage is the primary contribution that this study makes.
