Abstract

MQTT Protocol (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport) is widely used in wireless communication medium on IOT (Internet of Things). On the other hand, the use of wireless medium has a disadvantage. As an example, the data are highly vurnerable to eavesdropping (sniffing data). The dangerous impact of eavesdropping or sniffing is that the loss of security. Therefore, it is required to have a mechanism to ensure data security. Trivium algorithm is one of the cryptographic synchronous encryption cryptographic algorithms used to secure data and Trivium is tested well and Trivium is assigned as a stream cipher encyption algorithms by ISO/IEC 29192-3; 2012. Raspberry Pi is used as a publisher, subscriber and virtual machine as a broker. Publisher will encrypt the data before the data and topic are sent to the broker. Broker will forward the data to the subscriber that is subscribed. After the data is received by the subscriber, the data will be decrypted into plaintext. Here are the results of the study; keystream result to the vector test is valid, validation result of encyption and decryption is valid, the result of sniffing data of Wireshark shows that the data cannot be read by an unofficial authority, and the result of six functional systems showed that all of the functional work well, the result of the average time to produce keystream is that 0.034886725 seconds, encryption process is that 0.047045873 seconds and decryption process is that 0.053834003 seconds

Abstract

Prediction of rainfall is needed in increasing the production of food crops in a region, one of them is Tengger area. Errors in predicting rainfall can cause errors when determining the planting period, and the right type of plant. In order to produce rainfall predictions with a slight error rate, this study uses the Adaptive-Expectation Based Multi-Attribute Fuzzy Time Series method. The method has been proven to predict the closing price on the Taiwan Stock Exchange Capitalization Weighted Stock Index (TAEIX) with fewer error rates than Chen Fuzzy Time Series methods. This study will produce rainfall predictions in the four districts of Tengger area, namely Puspo, Sumber, Tosari, and Tutur. From the results of testing 36 data in 2014, obtained the best Mean Square Error (MSE) value of 28.0470 in Tosari district.

Abstract

Information system success has a different understanding from technical view, semantic view, and effectiveness. To measure this success alone using only a few variables is not enough but must be measured in its entirety. DeLone emphasize this so that the measurement results can be more thorough than taking measurements only on certain variables. Variables used in this study are system quality, information quality, service quality, usage, user satisfaction, and net benefits. This study aims to do success analysis on FILKOM's website. FILKOM's website has a very important role as a media promotion for Faculty of Computer Science Brawijaya University and online services that provide information for students, lecturers, and other academic community. The implementation of DeLone and McLean models shows that the success rate on FILKOM website is moderate. The use of Pearson product moment analysis justifies the research hyphothesis that each variable has a positive and significant relationship on other variables connected according to DeLone and McLean models. Variables that have a strong influence on other variables are information quality and service quality on user satisfaction variables. Thus, to improve user satisfaction in using or accessing FILKOM website, SI departments must fix how the information provided to always fit with the needs of users and how users can contact the SI departments easily if there is an error.

Abstract

Operational Area VIII Surabaya or abbreviated as DAOP XX or DAOP XX is one of the Indonesian railways operating areas, under the environment of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) under the Board of Directors of PT Kereta Api Indonesia.DAOP XX has a unit engaged in information technology namely the information system unit. The well-developed technology in DAOP XX makes almost all of its business processes computerized and standardized by ISO, but in practice there are still some obstacles in infrastructure management, risk prevention and control. Therefore, It was necessary to a pssess risk management capabilities using the COBIT 5 framework. In the assessment 3 subdomain were selected. These were EDM03 (Ensure Risk Optimisation), APO12 (Manage Risk) and DSS02 (Manage Service Request and Incident). Capability assesment was done through 3 types of data retrieval ie, questionnaires, interviews and observation. From the results of the assessment, it was concluded that the capability value of each subdomain was 2 with the gap value of 1. The recommendation was given to the three subdomains in order to reach the target level. There were 6 recommendations for the EDM03 subdomain.There were further 6 recommendations for the APO12 subdomain and 3 recommendations for the DSS02 subdomain.

Abstract

Technological developments in the world are starting towards the IOT (Inthernet Of Things) era. Smarthome is one of IOT Technology whose the impact is felt by many people. Smarthome is an embedded dwelling of many integrated technologies and make almost aspects in the home run automatically. One aspect that needs to be considered in the smarthome is the security aspect, all the smarthome integrated residence should has a very adequate security system. The security system owned by smarthome is mostly implemented on the door, for example implanting a sensor on the door to keep the door locked automatically. However, there will be many obstacles when using sensor technology, one of them is most sensors can not identify someone who is near the door. From the problem will be made an open door automation system on smarthome that can identify someone. The identification technology that will be used in the system is Face Recognition using Haar-Cascade method which will be implemented on single-board circuit that is Raspberry Pi. The system will store the identity of the Smarthome inhabitants in a dataset and will open the door if the data matches with the previously created dataset. Face Recognition will use Library Open CV that is Haarcascade_Frontal_Face and cv2.createLBPHFaceRecognizer . The level of detection accuracy using haarcascade classifier method is 76.25% while for the level of accuracy of introduction used local binary pattern is equal to 65%. To Connect face recognition with open door closing system, the author uses 3 pieces of DC motor. Two DC motors as Door Wheels and 1 DC motor as a key. All process will be done by Self Process on Raspberry.

Abstract

To maintain quality of service, a café must pay attention to several aspect. One of them is the availability of the menu served by the café. The availability of the menu also depends on the availability of the ingredients needed to make it. Therefore, the café manager need to make sure that the ingredients is enough and resupplied fast enough when needed. Push Notification is a technology which allow information to be delivered to stakeholder via instant alert on their smartphone. This concept can be used by café manager to monitor the availability of ingredients, so that any insufficient ingredients can be resupplied fast. Analyical Hierarch Process (AHP) is used to determine the priority of ingredients that needed to be resupplied first. Ingredient stock, the number of menu using corresponding ingredient, and ingredient price are used to determine supply priority. The result of using both method reach 68% in accuracy, and 80% in delivery rate of push notification.

Abstract

Events can be defined as activities that are held to celebrate the important things throughout human life both individually and in groups (Noor, 2013). Faculty of Administrative Sciences, University of Brawijaya (FIA UB) is really active in organizing events such as seminars, workshops and competitions. There is an event proposal submission procedure for holding an event in FIA UB. The event proposal submission procedure is different and it depends on who is the event organizer, what resources are required and the where the event will be held. There are some problems that arise in the process of event proposal submission in FIA UB. From the event organizers perspective, they don't know the status of the submission of the event proposals that they have submitted, they also don't know the status of the venue's availability and many of event organizer do not know the flow of the event submission. From perspective of the General and Equipment Subdivision, the checking of venue's availability and recording of venue's reservation that are still performed manually in files is less efficient and time-consuming. So, the author have a solution to make an application called Event Management application. This Event Management application will be implemented using Node.js, Express.js framework and SemanticUI. The testing conducted using unit, validation and browser compatibility testing methods. In unit testing, all of independent paths tested and all of them are valid. The validation testing also shows result 100% valid. While browser compatibility testing shows that this application can be run without missing functionality in Microsoft Edge, Safari, Google Chrome, Firefox and Opera.

Abstract

Usability issues of Brawijaya University's E-Complaint website, particularly any of those issues faced by mobile device users due to less responsive display, receive considerable attention because they affect user's perspective on the website. Thus, a usability evaluation was done by applying heuristic evaluation method to fix the issue faced by the users. These experts relied on provided 13 heuristic mobile checklists to conduct the evaluation. Usability assessment was also conducted on the user's side by utilizing System Usability Scale (SUS) and it was complemented with interview with 8 respondents who were categorized into 2 groups: Brawijaya's scholars and general public. The heuristic evaluation highlighted 66 issues in total which were then summarized into 27 issues including issues found during interview with the respondents. Those results were then used for revision. UB's E-Complaint website display improvement was based on the collected guidelines, expert solutions, and user feedback. This improvement lowered the number of issues found by the experts, from 66 into 29 issues with average severity rating of 1,80 (it was previously 2,84). User satisfaction was also improved from SUS score of 44.38 into 72.5 and was supported by positive responses received from the interviews. SUS score indicated that there were some improvements in adjective rating from “OK” to “Good”, in grade scale from “F” to “C”, and in acceptability from “not acceptable” into “acceptable”.

Abstract

Template Matching Algorithm is a simple method used to recognize patterns in an image. Template Matching Methods are often used to identify letters, numbers, fingerprint and other image matching images. In this research is made a system to detect type of mango fruit. There are 3 types of mangoes that can be detected, namely Manalagi, Arumanis, and Golek. The method used in this application is Template Matching, which is a statistical technique used to find two variables / matrices or more that are quantitative. This algorithm matches each pixel in a digital image matrix of mango from the image that becomes the template reference. The results of the experiments show that the classification of the type of mango fruit with Template Matching method can detect images of tested mangoes. The success rate of mango fruit detection is 70.83% of the test data of 24 images. Performance of Mango Type Detection System with Template Matching Method has average value of average speed of 4.075 seconds from 24 times testing.

Abstract

The current technological developments, especially on mobile devices are very helpful to human activities. Travelers have problem of limited access to detail information about the location of hostel. Data from the Department of Culture and Tourism of Malang said, the surge of tourists who data on the city is quite significant. The impact is the growing business of hostels in the city. The cheap price and the complete facilities are the factors that make many travellers choose a hostel as a place to stay. However, there is no special container to accommodate the lodging's complete information. By looking at these conditions, the application of a special hostel information system in Malang was developed. This application is implemented on Android smartphones by using User Centered Design method that refers to the User Experience of potential users. The main purpose of the method is to create a user-friendly information system with a high usability level.Based on three usability testing criteria are effectiveness, efficiency and user satisfaction level. Then the resulting value on usability testing according to effectiveness is 91.7%, according to efficiency is 100%, and according to user satisfaction of 84.5%. From these three results can be calculated average usability rate of 92.06%. So, it can be concluded that this application has a high level of usability and become a user-friendly application.
