Abstract

Library of Health Polytechnic of Malang City Health Ministry has an official website to help students find references to study. This website has a search feature for a collection of textbooks, national, international journals and lecturer research. Based on observations, there are complaints on the website, namely, ineffective and inefficient search, inappropriate use of words and no library book lending information. This study uses the usability testing and heuristic evaluation methods because the heuristic evaluation method is able to find many usability problems so that all usability problems can be resolved. This research combined with usability testing to get the user's perspective. Determination of evaluators using regular and double because the potential for finding problems is higher than the novice evaluator. Based on the results of the evaluation using the usability testing method and heuristic evaluation obtained 26 usability problems. 23 usability problems from heuristic evaluation and 6 usability problems from usability testing. Problems that are found are mostly related to the functionality and appearance of the system interface. Usability testing produces a level of effectiveness of 60%, efficiency of 46.5% and satisfaction of 63.4. The usability problem found in heuristic evaluation is divided into 7 out of 10 Nielsen's heuristic principles. The most common usability problems found on the principle of H8 aesthetic and minimalist design are 9 usability problems. Usability problems found have 1 usability problems in the cosmetic category, 11 usability issues in the minor category, 3 usability issues in the medium category, 2 usability issues in the major category, and 6 usability problems in the catastrophic category.

Abstract

Apart from being a person's identity, the face is also a supporting tool in direct socializing. A person can convey emotions experienced using expressions raised by their face. Emotion is a feeling to encourage an individual or a response to a stimulus. In consumer research, consumer testing is a method used to predict product acceptance by consumers in a market. Even though it has gone through extensive consumer testing stages before entering the market, the failure rate of new food products is still high. This shows that traditional consumer testing methods are not able to predict market performance and product acceptance by consumers in the long run. To be able to know consumer behavior more deeply, the use of emotional measurement is widely used in consumer testing because emotions affect consumer behavior. In this case, the classification of emotions based on facial characteristics is considered suitable to help improve the quality of consumer testing. The method used in this study is the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). The data used are data obtained from the Extended Cohn-Kanade Dataset (CK +) taken from 210 subjects with a total of 327 images used. Testing the study using K-fold Cross Validation with a k value of 4. The test results show a certain learning rate value can train architecture better than other learning rate values. The best accuracy results in this study amounted to 86.4% and an average accuracy of 80.7%.

Abstract

IZAT is an application developed by K3 Field PT PJB UP Gresik. In its use, several problems were encountered related to navigation and layout of the apps. With the usability problem, IZAT needs to be evaluated in relation to five aspects of usability by Nielsen. Improvements will be made using the Human-Centered Design method and using usability testing (learnability, efficiency, memorability, and error) and a modified SUS questionnaire (satisfaction) for testing method. Respondents consisted of two types, namely K3 and Non K3 Field respondents. From the test results obtained data increase of 33.35% for each type of respondent in the aspect of learnability, 45.3% for in the K3 Field and 43.2% for Non K3 in the aspect of efficiency, percentage increase by 5.23% for K3 Field and 2.43% for Non K3 Field at an average time, 4.25% decrease in the percentage of the number of tap in K3 Field and 0% decrease in the percentage of the number of tap in Non K3 Field in memorability aspect. The error aspect resulted in a decrease in the error rate of 21.5% for in the K3 Field and a decrease of 22.6% in the Non K3. SUS score as a measurement of satisfaction aspect obtained an increase of 25.03 in the K3 Field and an increase oh 18.37 in the Non K3 field. From both tests, it is known that solution design has better usability.

Abstract

The website developed by the Regional Government aims to encourage the realization of e-government that is good governance, in accordance with Presidential Instruction No. 3 of 2003. Public information disclosure is important to build good governance, in accordance with Law No. 14 of 2008. The Website of Sidoarjo in sidoarjo.go.id is hoped that the community can access the information of it. In its development, the website still has several shortcomings, so an evaluation is needed to improve its quality. One of them is by evaluating the utility to find out the easiest way of users in using the website and whether the user is satisfied or not with the system. This study uses two methods, namely usability testing, and heuristic evaluation. It is expected that both methods can find out the problems from two different user points of view. The literature that is used in this study is a theory by Jakob Nielsen (1994) which stated that there are 10 general principles in interaction design called heuristic because as a general rule it is not a special rule. The results of usability testing, the effectiveness are 100%, the efficiency of the average time used is 40 seconds, and the average number of clicks is 6 times to complete the task, and user satisfaction from the questionnaire value of 62 includes Grade D or High Marginal which has the quality of "Good". The problems were found in the usability testing test amounted to 33 problems from all evaluator findings. The majority of these problems are related to the layout of the application on the Home page and the social media application icon in the header section. While the results of the heuristic evaluation test found 49 problems which there were 9 cosmetic problems, 18 minor problems, 14 major problems, and 8 catastrophe problems.

Abstract

Security attacks are threat that could happen on computer network. One of the attacks could happen on data transmission process. Cryptography could be the solution for securing the process of data transmission process. Acorn algorithm is a cryptography algorithm that guarantees two security aspects which are confidentiality and authentication. Acorn algorithm is implemented on devices that have a limited resource such as Wemos ESP8266 microcontroller. MQTT is a delivery protocol used in this research. The components of MQTT are publisher, subscriber and broker. Publisher sends ciphertext and tag to the broker according to the topic. Subscriber subscribs to the broker according to the topic for receiving ciphertext and tag. Test vector testing, encryption and decryption performance testing, also security testing is conducted to make sure the system is working properly. The average time result on encryption is 312.6 milliseconds, and decryption is 61.2 milliseconds. Security testing is conducted by doing an attack such as ciphertext-only attack and impersonation. The result of the security testing, Acorn algorithm has a security aspect that cannot be attacked or breached.

Abstract

To communicate with each other, routers need routing protocols for sending information. There are several routing protocols used to send information, OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, and IS-IS. Each of these protocols has different algorithms in determining the best path for sending information, this of course makes a difference in the workings and performance of the routing protocol. Therefore it is necessary to analyze the best protocol in a condition in order to obtain the best performance. This study uses the Graphical Network Simulator 3 (GNS-3) application to simulate the actual network using a Mesh topology with 4 routers, 6 routers, and 8 routers. The parameters used as a measurement of the performance of the routing protocol are convergence time and round trip time. The smaller the value of the test parameters obtained from the routing protocol, the better the improved protocol.

Abstract

Volunteers are individuals or groups who carry out an voluntary activity. Volunteering are usually intended to provide a service without making a profit. From a survei of 144 Indonesian over the age of 17, found that 82.2% difficult to register as a volunteer because of a lack of information regarding volunteer activities, 54.2% were hesitent to register as volunteers because of a lack information about volunteerism activities, and 96,5% felt that they needed a platform to connect volunteers with social activities. Therefore an application is made to connect volunteers with voluntary activities. Location-based application that displays a number of voluntary activities to volunteers based on the closest location. From the results of exploring needs, there are two types of actors namely volunteers as a community who want to become volunteers and social organizations as implementing activities. Therefore two applications were developed that represented the behavior of the two actors. The application was developed with the Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) architecture and data storage using Firebase services with the results of all functional testing successfully implemented and an average of usability test results above 70% which means it can be accepted by the user, and can be operated on the Android operating system with a minimum version of 16 through 29.

Abstract

RIP and IS-IS are routing protocols with round trip times and the fastest convergence time among other dynamic routing protocols. Workflow and routing protocol performance is affected by the algorithm used. GNS3 is a simulator used for simulating routing protocols with mesh topologies. This study uses Wireshark to record packets on the network. This routing protocol is implemented using IPv4 and IPv6 addressing. Tests carried out using mesh topology 4 routers and 6 routers. Convergence time and round-trip time are the performance parameters that are tested. This study aims to determine the convergence process when the path is broken. The results of the research are the IS-IS routing protocol that uses IPv4 addressing has the fastest convergence time with a convergence time of 0 ms, while the RIP routing protocol is 1 ms. This is because the algorithm used makes the IS-IS router has a database that connects the network topology.

Abstract

In its development, video streaming originally delivered videos to users without them being able to watch the videos while they were being downloaded. In a further development, users can watch a video they request while the video is in the progress of being downloaded, this method is called progressive download which does not support playback capabilities. To make up for this shortfall, the next streaming technology was developed, called packet loss, which enables seeking in the video timeline. The third streaming method that followed is called adaptive streaming, wherein this method is able to adjust the quality of video playback according to the network conditions of the user. In this research, we were implementing packet loss and DASH as streaming methods began by the encoding of a source video file with various levels of quality and bitrates. For DASH (Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP), segmentation and manifest file setup needed to be performed. The aim of this research is to compare the performance of two streaming methods, packet loss and adaptive streaming, which is conducted by observing the parameter of QoS (Quality of Service) on the network side and subjective assessment, which is then analyzed using the method of paired sample t-test.

Abstract

Dinkominfo of Bojonegoro Regency is a government institution that focuses of Information and techonology (IT) sector. There are two divisions in the sector, namely E-Government services and Communication IT field. The utilization The utilization of IT, nowadays, is essential in government area. For a good IT utilization, well-arranged IT governance is needed, as for the utilization of IT is able to reach the implementation of Dinkominfo in line with its vision, mission, goals, and business process. Based on the interviews, Dinkominfo of Bojonegoro Regency has several problems, such as its on-going IT investments have not been in accordance with the benefits obtained, application and operational maintenance, and IT utilization does not have specific planning. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to find out the maturity level of IT governance at Dinkominfo of Bojonegoro Regency with framework of COBIT 4.1 PO (Plan and Organise) and AI (Acquire and Implement) domains. The results of the research conducted, can be known the average value of Maturity Level in each domain, the PO domain process is 1.60 and the AI domain process is 1.28. In order to increase the maturity level value of the current maturity level with the expected maturity level. Several recommendations were given that could increase the maturity level value of the current maturity level with the expected maturity level. Examples of recommendations are generated such as defining and documenting related risk management at the time of implementing IT and training IT resources at Dinkominfo of Bojonegoro Regency.
