Abstract

The Among Warga Mobile Application is one of the products of Batu Smart City e-government service that is useful for reporting on public facilities issues in Batu City which can be accessed anytime and anywhere via an Android-based smartphone. The purpose of this study is to describe the level of acceptance of applications based on the variable Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Facilitating Conditions, Social Influence, Trust of the Internet, Trust of Government, Trust of CSC, and Positive Intention to Use E-Government Services, and give recommendations to increase the acceptance and use of Among Warga applications in Batu City Government. The model used in this study is the modified UTAUT (Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Tehcnology). This study uses a qualitative approach where data collection is obtained by conducting interviews with open questions to the speakers who are application users who have reported on the application. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling and then carried out a qualitative analysis of the findings and collection of research data. The results obtained based on this study shown that a person's intention in adopting the Among Warga application is based on the eight variables, the majority of which have quite good results because this application has the benefit such reporting become easier, easy to use and to be learned.

Abstract

The Harbormasster's and Port Authority Office Class III Sampit is an agencys has the main task of carry out superfisions and laws enforcements fields of safety and security of sailing. Inside The Harbormaster's Office and Port Authority Office Class III Sampit, there is a sailing safety section that has a business process of ship arriving permit, ship moving permit, loading and unloading permit and sailing approval. When running a business process it is found that business processes are less effective and efficient such as lack of information given to the applicant related to the submission, repeated processes occur, bookkeeping and filing are still manually so that it can cause other problems. With the emergence of these problems, the need for evalluations ands improvemenst of busines proces in order to overcome thesse probllems. The method used in analyzing root causes is the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis and Five Whys Analys methods. To do the modeling used the Business Process Modeling and Notation method, and the Busines Proces Improvements methods to improved busines procesess. After that a simulations of the curent busines process (as-is) and recommendatiion (to-be) is to find out how much time is gained. In the business process simulation report the ship arrived an increase in time by 66.21%. The increase was due to an improvement in the activities and utilization of information systems in carrying out business processes recommendations.

Abstract

The Padiciti mobile application is one of the m-ticketing applications released in 2013 which currently has more than 100,000 users on the Google Playstore. From the initial observations made on Google Playstore there were user dissatisfactions such as low ratings and dissatisfaction comments regarding problems when using the Padiciti mobile application. This problem is related to usability. Evaluation is needed, one of which is to use the method of thinking aloud (user) and supported and strengthened by the perspective of usability experts using the heuristic evaluation method. The results of think aloud found 145 problems that can be grouped again into 35 problems because there are similar problems. As many as 3 of the 12 task scenarios failed by the user because the feature cannot run and there are 2 users who failed to run the task scenario 6 because there was a force close. While evaluation using heuristic evaluation found 64 problems that can be grouped again into 30 problems because there are similar problems. From the grouping of problems obtained from think aloud and heuristic evaluation there were 40 problems. Consisting of 25 similar problems found by users and experts, 10 problems that were found by users only and 5 problems found by experts only. Problems with severity rating of 4 ​​are 3 problems, severity rating of 3 ​​are 11 problems, severity rating of 2 ​​are 17 problems and severity rating of 1 are 9 problems. These problems are categorized into 3 categories, namely the functional side, the display side and the information side. On the functional side there are 16 problems, on the display side there are 11 problems and on the information side there are 13 problems.

Abstract

Faculty of Computer Science, Brawijaya University is one of the faculty which has enormous students and lecturers with various activities. Some cases of student's activities must be involved lecturers such as sending message to make an appointment, hence problems arise, students frequently don't get any feedback from lecturer. Based on these problems, information system development is implemented to help and use by lecturer and student. The development process is performed by using Rational Unified Process (RUP) development metho, which its dynamic and iterative, thus can be make it easy to develop information system.. First, the inception phase, bussines process analysis focused on schedule arrangement, make an appointment, and rescheduling. Second, the elaboration phase, the result of user requirements analysis are 14 functional requirements and 1 non-functional requirement to support main functional. Third, the construction phase is carried out, the black-box testing was done through 28 test cases. The conclusion is system can be running successfully. Compatibility testing was done and the result is it can be running on 6 different browsers without issues. The last phase is transition, the user acceptance test (UAT) was done on each actor (both lecturers and students) with the results of 100% acceptance rate for lecturers and 82,86% for students. It can be concluded that all actors are very consent with the scheduling information system functionality that has been developed. Through these development, it generate an information sytem that facilitate lecturers to setup availability, rescheduling, cancellation of appointment, and students will able to make an appointment based on lecturer's availability.

Abstract

The communication and informatics office of Batu City is a government agency which has a responsibility for managing information security and security services. Based on interview, it found there were no references in managing the implementation of information security. The purpose of this research is to provide a reference to the COBIT 5 framework allows agencies to develop clear policies using best practice for implementing information security management. After assessing the ability of the communication and informatics office of Batu city in dealing with the ongoing security information by referring to best practice based on the APO13 domain (Manage Security) and DSS0S (Manage Security Services) the result was the documentation that provide in several information security implementation processes and information security services in communication and information office of Batu City were still incomplete. The reason of this problem was the delivery of information security implementation was still implied since it has not supported by standard like policies and standard operating procedures (SOP). The result of calculating the capability level of each best practice processes were still at level 0 (Incomplete Process), this means the process was not implemented of failed to achieve the systematic process. Based on the results obtained, it is necessary to increase the level of capability to achieve the implementation of security management and management of security services that are expected to be level 1 (Performed Process) which mean implementation of the process to achieve the goverment policies goals that have been made can be measured and reviewed consistently.

Abstract

The quality of the interface in the Geographic Information System (GIS) was still not a major concern, whereas the quality of the interface was the prominent impact on the use of the Geographic Information System and some problems in the interface design contained in the Geographic Information System application were inconvenient to grasp by the user when is compared to the technical problems. This study aims to evaluate the interface of Geographic Information System processing applications (QGIS and MapWindow) so it known that the most optimal interface design could be identified by using the Heuristic Evaluation (HE) method to the function of geoprocessing tools. Based on the evaluation, QGIS application problems in the category "H1 - Visibility of system" and MapWindow application problems in the category "H7 - Flexibility and efficiency of use" were the particular concern for the evaluators. Besides, if the both applications were compared, the earlier evaluation showed QGIS application has 23 problems with an average severity rating is 2.0, this amount was higher compared to MapWindow application which only has 21 problems with an average severity rating is 1.9. However, in the final evaluation showed the different results, QGIS application only has 71 problems with an average severity rating is 2.02, this amount was lower than MapWindow application because the MapWindow application has 73 problems with an average of severity rating is 2.08.

Abstract

The IoT data storage system in general is centralized so that the data generated by the IoT sensor are stored on one data storage only. Centralized systems are susceptible to failure, which can cause the entire system to crash and can cause data loss because there are no backups. Therefore, in this study, we will propose a decentralized storage system using blockchain. The Blockchain is a decentralized, distributed, and immutable database that stores assets and lists of transactions in peer-to-peer (blockchain) networks. The Blockchain can replicate data to be stored on many nodes in the blockchain network. If there is a system failure on one node, the node will not affect the system on the other node. This research focuses on implementing blockchain on IoT data storage systems using BigchainDB and Tendermint. BigchainDB and Tendermint are the right applications to implement blockchain on MongoDB-based IoT data storage systems. The results of functional testing show that the decentralized IoT data storage system is running by its function in storing data and replicating data on several data storage areas. Based on these results, the system in this study can be a solution for centralized IoT data storage systems.

Abstract

Today, social media has become a new lifestyle for modern society. One of the most popular social media is Twitter. The character limitation when tweeting on Twitter makes the message conveyed by its users short, solid and clear. Thus, the complaints of users as outlined in a tweet can be analyzed using text classification which can then be used as a new method to determine the stress level of a person. In which up to this time, to determine the stress level is still done manually using a questionnaire system. The text classification used in this study is the Improved k-Nearest Neighbor method which is an improvisation of the k-Nearest Neighbor method which has a weakness in the use of k values for all classes. In addition, to improve the accuracy of the system and eliminate less relevant features, chi-square feature selection is used which can eliminate less relevant features without reducing the accuracy of the system. From 5 feature ratio tests, the best value is obtained at the feature ratio of 25% and k-value = 20 with an average precision value of 70%, the average recall is 67.2%, the average accuracy is 83.3%, and the average f-measure is 66.3%. From this research, it can be concluded that feature selection can increase the average precision, recall, accuracy, and f-measure.

Abstract

Music consists of various genres and emotions, therefore it is important to group the music according to what the listener wants both based on the genre and the emotions they feel. As an example of an online music application that can automatically group music that makes it easy for listeners to play the desired music, music grouping is seen based on the similarity of certain characteristics. Another example is the Radio music player, where a common problem with radio broadcasters is to play and choose what songs to play. With the grouping of music automatically this will certainly be very helpful and more efficient for playing these songs automatically. Then this research will cluster songs based on the emotions of Broken Heart and Happy with feature extraction using the Haar Wavelet transformation method, then clustering using K-Means. The results of clustering will be evaluated using purity. The test is based on the song structure, a combination of statistical features, and the Haar Wavelet coefficient. Based on the results of all tests carried out obtained clustering with the highest purity value of 0.62.

Abstract

Ngalup.co is the company engaged in creative industry area. Ngalup.co found that there are several processes that are not carried out according to the procedure, so that it's implemented inappropriately. Indications that occur are booking hall events that took a long time and needs a lot of resources, so that the process business often missed. Based on the indication problems, this study was conducted to evaluate business processes and to analyze the potential problem and the root of problem that occurs in business process at Ngalup.co and then given the recommendation for improvement of business process. This study uses Business Process Modeling and Notation (BPMN) diagram and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis method (FMEA) to analyze and evaluate business process, and Business Improvement Method (BPI) to do improvement. From the results of simulations carried out in the current business process (as is) and business process recommendation (to be), found out that an increase in time analysis reached 12.39% on booking hall events, 4.07% on event implementation, and 6.49% on event evaluation. Beside that, an increase on resource analysis also done with the highest increase 34.54% done by the customer in the event hall ordering business process, 16.44% by community host in the event hall ordering business process, and 8.86% by event manager in the event evaluation business process.
