Abstract

Tobacco plants are plantation products but not food crops, their leaves are usually used as the main ingredient in the making of cigarettes and cigars. Tobacco cultivation has been known for a long time in Indonesia, the cultivation of tobacco from generation to generation has resulted in the emergence of many new varieties in various regions in Indonesia. The number of tobacco varieties can be grouped by cultivation and type. The large number of tobacco varieties makes it difficult for farmers to distinguish the types of tobacco plants because the morphology and biology between tobacco plants are almost similar, so to make it easier to determine the type of tobacco plants, a system with a classification method is needed. One of the classification methods is the Naive Bayes algorithm. In this study, 11 classes were used and 19 features were used. In addition to classification, the feature selection method is also used to get a good combination of features and accuracy values, Information Gain used as the feature selection method. In the evaluation, the K-fold cross validation method is used to eliminate doubts on the data with k = 10. The result of all the tests carried out, the highest average accuracy for all balanced class tests was 52.72% using 17 features. Meanwhile, the highest accuracy of all unbalanced class tests is 64.06% when using 15 features.

Abstract

Coinciding with the progress of globalization in the modern era now, resulting in increased use of the World Wide Web (WWW) and the internet for sources that provide information online from various countries. A search engine is needed by internet users to search for information. Therefore, resulting in the number of documents stored in digital soared. The vast reach of readers and the short time resulted in the emergence of online media in broadcasting news. The information retrieval system is the function of obtaining information desired by the user or relevant through a query that has been filled out by the user. It is expected that the implementation of Information retrieval can be used in obtaining documents in accordance with user requirements. BM25 method is to calculate the value of similarity (similarity) and then do the ranking process of the similarity of the results of the query. Added to the term frequency feature selection when training data. The test is based on the precision @k value and the kappa measure value of 10 queries. The best value obtained on the precision @k test is when k = 5, with values ​​of 90% and 86%. For the value obtained from the kappa mesure test of 0.85.

Abstract

Information Systems Management certification of expertise in the Faculty of Computer Science of Brawijaya University is a system that assists in managing certification of expertise related to bootcamp information, registration bootcamp, information certification, certification registration, distribution of modules Botcamp, announcement of bootcamp schedules and certifications, and selection instructor Bootcamp. In addition, the system also helps to keep data safe in database storage, thus minimizing lost or damaged data. The need for this system is obtained through an interview process with the stakeholders that are the skills Certification coordinator at the Faculty of Computer Science of Brawijaya University who became the admin actor of this system. Literature studies are also conducted to support the problem solving. Software architecture is designed using Unified Modelling Language (UML). Some software also used to build this system include Visual Studio Code 1.43.2, Visual Paradigm 16.0, XAMPP v 3.2.4. The system consists of 61 functional needs modelled into the use case diagram as well as the use case scenario as the base of the groove that can be run on this system. The design phase produces the design of the system to be built. The architecture design generates diagram sequences, diagram classes, and database designing. Tests are divided into three, unit testing, integration testing, and validation testing with all results valid.

Abstract

Event Surabaya is an online media website that aims to provide information about any event that will be held in Surabaya and surroundings which was established since 2010. In order to obtain information, several problems were found during the interview; content incorrectly placed, naming ambiguous navigation, and hard time to find information directly and it also impact the website operations. The purpose of this research is to find out whether there is an improvement of the value from satisfaction users prior before doing evaluation and after evaluation design solution. Based on the problems found, Tree Testing was applied as the first evaluation for website Event Surabaya. Tree Testing method measure some aspects; Success Rate, Directness, Time Spent, First Click, and Destination. In making design solutions, the researcher used a method of Close Card Sorting as the laying of the mechanism in line with user expectations, with the final result of sitemap and based on a standard usability guidelines and continued with the Information Architecture. The whole research used by Human Centered Design (HCD) and in all levels has been approved by stakeholders and users. The final result in this research stated that the recommendation flow and navigation website showed the improvement of the value from satisfaction users was very significant.

Abstract

Abstract The development of the world of robotics is increasingly rapid, there is a human urge for all problems that arise around it so that it can be resolved quickly and efficiently. These problems are human limitation in processing control and a very long time, so that the more advanced the new technological era is, the more it is founds. For example in controlling speed on wheeled robots in terms of helping humans. The speed control system will be researched and applied to the skidsteering wheeled robot. This robot is equipped with an optocoupler sensor, Arduino UNO microcontroller and Motor Driver Shield L293D. this research method used is the Proportional Integral Derivative (PID). The access used is in the form of uphill and downhill roads on the slope of 10°, 15°,20° with the distance about 2m. From the simulation, the results are able to provide good control system performance criteria which can be seen from the comparison of the controller without using the PID controller and by using the PID control. PID contorl paramaters used to control DC motors are able to provide the most ideal control respone, with values of Kp = 0.2, Ki = 0.12 and Kd = 0.01. And when the robot run in the incline and descent area with an angle of 10°, 15°,20°, it has experienced a significant decrease in speed

Abstract

There are problems in the HR department at PT.Toyogiri Iron Steel. The first problem is the procedure for applying for overtime, leave and permission. Employees who make submissions must ask for signatures from their superiors and department heads before being approved by HRD. This creates a problem, the boss is not in the factory or not present. HRD also cannot monitor employee overtime. HRD checks employees who are doing overtime whether it is in accordance with the proposed hours. Not yet integrated between salary calculation and attendance. The integration of components such as attendance data recapitulation, overtime, permits, leave, allowances and deductions in salary. The HRD entered manually where time was less efficient. And provides additional functions such as issuing warning letters, suspension and promotion / demotion. From these problems, the authors will create a web-based human resource information system at PT. Toyogiri Iron Steel. This system functions to store information, assist applications for overtime, leave and permits, integration of attendance and payroll, submit promotion / demotion and warnings. Development of a web-based system developed with the waterfall style SDLC. The system is created with object-oriented design and uses the MVC (Model-View-Controller) method in the CodeIgniter framework by dividing it into 3 parts, a model for interaction to the database, a controller for the main logic, and a view for the system view, and MySQL and MariaDB as the database. From the results of requirements engineering, there are 64 functional requirements and 1 non-functional requirement. In the design and implementation results, the PHP programming language is used with the CodeIgniter framework. The interface implementation uses the HTML, CSS, and Javascript programming languages. In system testing, unit testing is carried out using white box testing with the basis path testing method tested on 3 sample functions with all valid values. Validation testing is tested for all functional requirements with all valid values. Validation testing for compatibility, system applications were tested on 6 different web browsers with all the results running well.

Abstract

The Information Systems Department at the Faculty of Computer Science is one of the departments that has accreditation A at Brawijaya University. In order to provide quality education for its students, apart from providing academic knowledge, the Information Systems Department also provides guidance, motivation, and academic advice to students which is known as academic advisory guidance. Academic advisory guidance has been standardized according to the curriculum of the Information Systems Department, but this guidance is still carried out conventionally and manually, starting from collecting the forms, filling the forms, procedures for guidance, and obtaining the results. Therefore, with this application, the guidance of a fairly complex academic advisor can be done simply because in this application can processes some data automatically, such as the calculation of GPA and SKS, student GPA and SKS categories, and so on. This system is implemented on the Android platform. Blackbox test results produce 100% valid functionality. Whereas in usability testing, interface measurements are carried out to measure general user measurements of applications from 5 respondents, resulting in a total score of 72.5.

Abstract

Teman Tani Pintar is an agricultural application developed by BBPP Ketindan. This application serves as a media for sharing the manufacture of an agricultural product that has been produced by the hall to the wider community, especially for farmers. Teman Tani Pintar is a new application and has never been evaluated in terms of usability or user experience before, so this research will be evaluated and improved using the Human Centered Design approach. In this study the evaluation was done by usability testing, observation, and interviews to 9 respondents. Usability testing is useful to measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and user satisfaction by using the System Usability Scale. The initial evaluation results show there are still many problems experienced by users such as monotonous design, lack of information at the beginning, roomchat unlike in general, and other problems. The results of the completion of the initial design evaluation were 88.88% complete respondents, for errors there were respondents who had an error rate of 11.11%, the average total work time or time of 94.78 seconds and the level of user satisfaction was at 63.3 or poor. After making improvements, the design of the solution is evaluated again to the respondents the results are complete rate of all respondents 100%, for the error rate of 0% of all respondents, the average total workmanship of the task becomes 60.63 seconds, and user satisfaction increases to 83.61 which means excellent.

Abstract

Undergraduate thesis writing process for college students at the Faculty of Computer Science (FILKOM) Brawijaya University is currently implemented by conducting thesis guidance directly or through the media provided by the lecturer. Several problems occur in the thesis writing process, such as the process of providing links and document access rights is done manually and inefficient which requires communication between lecturers and students. The increasing number of journals makes it difficult to find research references with the same discussion as the student thesis topic. Writing keywords experiencing errors due to human errors and keywords are also less than optimal because keywords are determined manually. In this study, a student thesis guidance manajemen system was developed which could facilitate students in conducting thesis guidance and assisting lecturers in manajemen student thesis guidance through one platform. This system utilizes several algorithms to obtain journal and keyword recommendations. These algorithms include preprocessing text, TF-IDF, and cosine similarity. The software development model used by this system is the waterfall model. Systems are tested using unit testing, validation, and compatibility. The results of validation testing conducted in all test cases give a value of 100% valid.
