Abstract

According to WHO, there are about 7 million people who recently blind every year. People who are blind or so-called visually impaired will find some limitations when doing activities, especially outdoor activities. One example of outdoor activities is walking to a certain place. There are many visually impaired people who use a white cane (a stick-like tool which has length of approximately 1.5 meters) when walking. The disadvantage of this white cane is that its range can be assumed to be only 1.5 meters, while outdoor activities require one to be more aware of the surrounding. For example, when walking on the side of the road where there are many motorized vehicles passing by. Motorized vehicles also can move fairly quickly, even in a matter of seconds they can move more than 1.5 meters so that a range of 1.5 meters is not good for outdoor activities. Starting from this problem, the author plans to build a system of assistive device for visually impaired people that adapts neural network and computer vision technology, so that the resulting range is longer than the white cane. The design of this device is a strap equipped with a processing box and a camera that is attached to the user's chest. This device has an accuracy of 91.96% using the Faster R-CNN algorithm. When using CUDA acceleration, the number of frames per second is around 1.7 fps and when not using CUDA acceleration, the number of frames per second is 0.25 fps which is about 6 time slower than using CUDA acceleration.

Abstract

Security is a condition that is free from danger, danger word can be related to the form of crime , accident, and others. All peoples always trying to fulfill that condition, but there are some age who cant fulfill this condition. One of them is children safety, children tend to be careless than adults. This is due to an immature mindset and unstable emotions, therefore it triggers crimes againts children. So that it requires strict supervision by parents, on the other side the parents cant monitor their childs safety all the time because they tend to be busy with theis jobs. Seeing this problem, the author would like to recommend a solution in the form of IoT (Internet of Things) with the topic of child safety system GSM based module using HTTP protocol. IoT allows system to communicate or transfer data by themselves using IP connectivity. The System cant do full supervision, but this system able to provide information about location coordinates of their child when the child is in danger and pressing a push button on the system. This system uses a GSM module so it can directly access the webserver to transmit data that has been read by the GPS module and processed by Arduino Uno. The data that has been read will be sent to the webserver and then forwarded by the registered user. Based on the research results the GSM module has the best network strength value in outdoor conditions with value 22 (-69 dBm), the GPS module has data accuracy with an average difference value of 3,15 meters, Telegram chatbot has a perfect data accuracy value with 100% success rate without experiencing lost data.

Abstract

The students' thought process during learning reflects their understanding and misunderstanding about the structure of the questions in an exercise. The application of understanding of the structure of questions has been packaged in a learning media called Monsakun. Monsakun provides support by offering the concept of understanding the structure of questions in solving simple arithmetic word problems (addition and subtraction). Although Monsakun has successfully provided support in learning, identification of group learning patterns among students has not been done. This pattern grouping needs to be done to make it easy for teachers to understand the characteristics of students' thinking, understand the difficulties faced, and provide feedback in accordance with the characteristics of thinking and difficulties experienced by these students. This study aims to group students' thought processes while studying at Monsakun using the K-Means algorithm that is optimized with the Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm in determining initial centroids. The data used is a Monsakun level 5 datalog consisting of 12 questions. Based on the implementation and testing that has been done, the results of grouping are dominated by 2 clusters where the quality of the cluster is determined using the Silhouette Coefficient method.

Abstract

The East Java Provincial Fisheries Office works in the marine and fisheries sector. One of the fields owned, namely the Marine, Coastal and Supervision sector which is responsible for managing marine and coastal space permit recommendations. The licensing has a flow starting from the process of the applicant submitting an application, processing the data by the East Java Provincial Fisheries Office, conducting a field survey and then making a report as a reference in making recommendations. The process takes quite a long time, namely when the process of sending letters to service branches and during the location verification process so that the time required is 30 days or more, while the time limit given by the government is only 15 working days. In addition, the lack of knowledge about spatial data used in regional data collection causes workers to have difficulty in carrying out regional data collection. From these problems, a solution was found by making a marine and coastal space permit processing system equipped with the ability to process spatial data in easy-to-understand stages. The system is built using the waterfall Software Development Life Cycle method. This research begins with analysis and design by making a Use Case Diagram which states that there are 55 functional needs plus 1 non-functional requirement. There are several main features, namely adding a copy of the letter, data collection of areas and adding dispositions, then making Sequence Diagrams and Class Diagrams. System development is carried out using Laravel as a framework, PHP for programming languages, MySQL for databases and OpenLayers for GIS creation. After the system has been successfully built, unit testing with whitebox testing is carried out on 3 main system functions and produces valid value test cases, blackbox testing for validation testing carried out on 55 functional requirements, each test case is valid, and compatibility testing to test compatibility which results in a value that the system can run on a variety of web browsers as needed.

Abstract

The development of information technology is always experiencing rapid development from year to year. The many facilities that are caused by the development of information technology directly impact on daily activities. One sector that is impacted is the hotel business. Where some developers began to develop applications that aim to facilitate users in booking hotels. Two of these applications are RedDoorz and Airy. In a review given by the user on each application shows a variety of responses from users where there are positive responses and negative responses. the purpose of this research is to know the quality of each application using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) method where this method is used to assess the quality of a product or application based on the impressions of users when using a product or application. UEQ has six rating scales including attractiveness, efficiency, perspicuity, dependability, stimulation, and novelty. In this research respondents have different backgrounds with age ranges from 18 years to 34 years who have already used one of the two applications. The results of the analysis using UEQ revealed that Airy obtained better scores on some scales in UEQ than RedDoorz.

Abstract

Long-term Adherence to treatment regimens for chronic disease in developed countries can be as low as 50% and lack of support, motivation, and forgetfulness are the key factors of adherence to current treatment regimens. Other reviewers also noted that there is a lack of medical support for a routine treatment. These problem make patients find it's difficult to carry out their treatment regimen with some factor from their experience. To increase a motivation in adherence to treatment regimens, a tool that can provide reminders and support is needed when undergoing the treatment. Ngobat as an application give support of reminder and gamification which helps users to comply with the treatment regimen. This study uses the waterfall as a software development method, the method was chosen because the functional requirements that exist in the system have been defined since the beginning and there are no changes in the process. Testing of the Ngobat application are functional, compatibility, and reusability test. The functional testing has resulted 100% of test success. Compatibility testing can run on all devices with an API level of at least 21. Usability testing produces a success rate of 93.33% while the System Usability Scale (SUS) produces an average value of 74.5 or with a conversion scale in category B which is acceptable to the public.

Abstract

A network is said to be single homing if a network has only one connection or one outlet that is connected to one ISP, while a network is said to be multihoming if it has many outlines using one or more different service providers. BGP is a routing protocol used for interconnection between autonomous systems and can facilitate single homing or multihoming needs on the Internet. This study applies single homing and multihoming methods and evaluates the performance in the Eve-NG simulator environment. The evaluation is based on the routing convergence time, delay, and packet loss. In the QoS test, the results for the average delay on the network using single homing is at 501.366 ms meanwhile on the multihoming network the average result was 501.128 ms. In the QoS test, there was no packet loss because all packets were sent and received in the test. In the test for the convergence time of the single homing network, the convergance time cannot be calculated because when the network is disconnected, the network cannot be reconnected due to the unavailiability of a redundant link. meanwhile the average convergence time for multihoming is at 158.4 seconds for the test.
