Abstract

Currently, many vendors create products that make it easier for users to make IoT devices, especially sensors and microcontrollers. A sensor is an electronic device that can be used to sensing a situation around us and a microcontroller is used to help process data and as a communication line between sensors one and another. Because there are many different vendors, the more sensors are created and the more needs that use multiple sensors from different vendors are combined into one for a specific purpose. Therefore, something is needed to connect between various sensors from various vendors. sometimes has its own configuration. Based on this, a microcontroller is needed to bridge sensors to one another and can recognize these sensors automatically. And the communication line used is I2C (Intergrated Circuit) which is connected using SDA (Serial Data) and (Serial Clock) ). And from the results of testing the microcontroller is able to recognize the connected sensor.

Abstract

Malang Raya is known as a choice of famous tourist destinations in Indonesia. This can be seen from the increase in tourists visiting this area from 2016 to 2018. This increase originated from the growth of tourist attractions with the theme of natural tourism, heritage, and also food. Therefore, a system is needed, in this case, an application, as a tourist reference in Malang Raya. In 2019, two similar studies were carried out by Jodie Rizky Hidayat in Batu City and Ricky Irfandy in the Malang area. Their approach to recommendations is through individual input. In this study, the application focuses on a group recommendation approach. Therefore, this study uses the Group Decision Support System theory. The value of the recommendation obtained from the use of the TOPSIS-Borda theory. After implementing the application, the application is tested with three tests. The test is carried out by using the white-box and black-box methods, testing the algorithm manual, and testing it in terms of usability. From these tests, it was found that the application runs according to specifications with a valid value of 100%, and the algorithm runs according to manual calculations. From usability testing, it is known that the application can be accepted by users with a score of 72.5.

Abstract

Motor vehichle is a kind of transportation mode that are popular among people in Indonesia. Annually the increase in number of drivers is growing rapidly. Safety always comes first in driving for the sake of avoiding accidents. Accidents occur because of many driver's negligence factors such as drowsy when driving, bad facilities and infrastructure, using device that takes away your attention from the road and ignorant of the speed limit sign. For sake of helping the drivers to manage their speed according to the sign, it is needed of a system that can help remind the driver of the existence of the sign. Before fulfilling the task of reminding the drivers surely the system would need to be able to detect and recognize the speed sign. In this research the writer would want to propose the usage of Circle Hough Transform as the method of detection dan Convolutional Neural Network as the method of recognition with the purpose of knowing the performance of both method in doing their task. Both of the methods are in the field of study of Digital Image Processing and Machine Learning respectively that is well-known with its big computational need. The big computational need is the reason minicomputer raspberry pi is chosen as the base processing unit of the system compared to microcontroller. The result of testing for detection and recognition on Day 80% and night 70% . Looking from the results the methods that are proposed are not great but the writer believe that for the future research there is still room for improvement of the Circle Hough Transform and Convolutional Neural Network

Abstract

The Brawijaya University Scholarship Website is a website that functions as a scholarship information search page where the students of Brawijaya University can find out the stipulated scholarship requirements, Brawijaya University scholarship website acts as an intermediary between scholarship providers and students who wish to get scholarships. But in fact, there are often problems with the website and the quality of the website also has disadvantages that are felt by its users, for example, the website pages are relatively old, the writing on the website is too monotonous, and scholarship information is late to be disseminated. This study aims to improve the quality of the Brawijaya University Scholarship website so that it will be better in the future, especially in the section on user satisfaction which will affect user ratings in interacting with the website. To support the research, the End-User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) method is used to assist in calculating the quality assessment of the website which is divided into several variables. The EUCS method measures user satisfaction by making a comparison between the ratings that users have given on the assessment sheet that has been made with the existing service system (Brawijaya University Scholarship Website). There are 5 variables used in this study, namely Content, Accuracy, Format, Ease of Use, and Timeliness. The results obtained after testing were 2 variables that got unsatisfactory values, namely Format and Accuracy variables, but it cannot be denied that the other 3 variables, namely Content, Ease Of Use, and Timeliness had sufficient values ​​but did not escape input and criticism from respondents.

Abstract

RSU Haji Surabaya is a public hospital in Surabaya that caters to all levels of society on a social, economic and religious level. On the basis of Regulation of the Minister of Health No. 27 of 2017 Article 3 paragraph 5 states that the infection prevention and control (PPI) process must be carried out with surveillance activities. Surveilance is the process of continuous recording and analysis to obtain data that is specific to infection data in this study. Some of the infections that are recorded and analyzed are Phlebitis, CVC, VAP, UTI, and SSI. Manual survailance by RSU Haji Surabaya still involves some human error. A surveilance system is therefore required to minimize errors. This system will help user enter data and analyze trends. A web-based monitoring system will be developed to make it easier for users to use the system when using a desktop or mobile phone. This study will use an object-oriented approach and apply the MVC design developed on the waterfall method and use the calculation formula for the PPI indicator to calculate the infection pattern. In the need analysis requirement there are 48 functional needs and 6 actors. Functional tests in the form of units, integration and validation produce 100% valid results, and non-functional tests in the form of compatibility produce results that the system can execute on different browsers and platforms.

Abstract

Multipath routing is a routing method that uses more than one path for transferring data in Network. Using multipath routing can cause not proportional traffic distribution. In a network with different bandwidth, evenly distributed traffic can cause a drop in data transfer performance because of the bottleneck in one of the available paths. This paper proposes a system that controls traffic distribution according to the value of demand (traffic from the user) and path unused bandwidth. The system uses Sflow-rt to monitor the value of demand and path unused bandwidth and uses group action feature of Openvswitch to distribute the traffic. The values from Sflow will be used to calculate the weight of all available paths that control traffic distribution. The test result shows traffic distribution that considers the value of demand and prioritizes path with more unused bandwidth. The system response time that change traffic distribution is effected by the value of Sflow polling. If the value of Sflow polling is 1, then system response time is in range of 1 to 3 seconds. If the value of Sflow polling is 3, then system response time is in range of 1 to 5 seconds. If the value of Sflow polling is 10, then system response time is in range of 14 to 16 seconds with a chance of no change in traffic distribution.

Abstract

Fault tolerance is the ability of the system to be able to continue running even when it is damaged. Fault tolerance has several types that are often used, in this study will be discussed about TMR (Triple Modular Redundancy). TMR is a hardware redundancy technique that duplicates 3 computing modules, and there will also be a voter polling the computational module. The voter's job is to see if any of the computing modules are damaged. However, in this study, the TMR voter will also be triplicated to reduce the possibility of a single point of failure, namely the event that the system cannot function if one of the modules is damaged, in this case is the voter. The device used as a computing module in this study is Arduino Uno, this study also uses the FC-37 rain sensor as an experimental sensor to retrieve the data. The result of this research is that the reliability value of the Triple Modular Redundancy system with Triplicated Voting is 98.49%, which is an increase compared to Triple Modular Redundancy with only 1 voter, which is 92.74%. The success rate of experiments conducted on Triple Modular Redundancy with Triplicated Voting also generally increased.

Abstract

Discipline is important aspect in education. Sanctions can be educational tool to penalize student disciplinary. The unavailability of facilities to search for violators data and the accuracy of the data is in doubt. FILKOM of Brawijaya University have constraints filling record of student violation because history files student violation difficult to find. Based on the problem, author want to make application for help FILKOM managing history files student violation. The system development uses the waterfall Life Cycle Software (SDLC) waterfall with an object oriented approach. In the analysis phase, the authors applied the use case diagram and use case scenario. The design phase is done by creating sequence diagrams, class diagrams, entity relationship diagrams, and mocups. At the implementation stage, the authors use Laravel as a framework and MySQL as a database. After the implementation stage, application ready use with function can record violations of students with minor, moderate, severe violations and the application can also record book bills on violations that have a book fine. Testing on functional requirements uses unit testing and validation testing. The outcome shows 100% valid result on both tests. Testing for non-functional requirements uses browser compatibility testing. It shows that the system is compatible on Android, Chrome, Edge, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Safari and iPhone browsers.
