Abstract

A cluster computer is a type of parallel or distributed processing system that consists of a collection of stand-alone computers that are connected and work together as one integrated resource (Morrrison, 2003). Cluster computers can be implemented for specific purposes, and using parallel processing methods such as MPI4PY (Message Passing Interface for Python) MPI4PY is used to execute parallel programs into subtasks, then send them to the cluster nodes for processing. This research focuses on designing, implementing, and knowing the performance produced by computer clusters using raspberry pi 3. To find out the resulting performance, a scheme is tested using a master node without a slave, one slave master node, two slave master nodes, and a master node. three slaves. The monitoring process is carried out using ganglia to determine the size of cluster resource usage. The monitoring results show the highest memory usages of 818.8M in 109 iterations of testing the master node and 2 slave nodes. The highest loads/process was 14.1 in 109 iterations of testing using only the master node. The highest CPU usages were 32.7% in iteration 109 tests the master node and 2 slave nodes.

Abstract

Floods is one of the most common natural disasters in the Asian region. Based on statistical data of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) on 2009-2018, it was noted that the number of dead and missing victims over 11 thousand people. A monitoring system is needed that can quickly and accurately provide information and warnings to the public. Therefore, the researchers conducted a study entitled the development of a water canal monitoring system as a flood mitigation. To realize a monitoring system, a protocol for network communication is required. Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) is a protocol that allows communication between the ESP8266 which uses a client and server architecture with centralized control. HTTP POST request-response method can be used for the communication method between WiFi client nodes and WiFi server nodes. The system stores sensor data in a Firebase database connected to the android application. The android application can provide notification alerts to the user if the system detects a danger. Based on the test results, it was concluded that NodeMCU ESP8266 can communicate with each other using the HTTP POST method. From the sensor test, the average error result is 17.86%. In testing the delay of sending data between nodes at a distance of 5m, 30m, 50m, 80m and 100m, it has an average delay of 242.17ms, 964.4ms, 979.3ms, 988.9ms and 997.0ms. In testing the android application the system can display the results of system monitoring and the user gets a warning notification when the system detects a potential hazard.

Abstract

E-Learning is instructions that are delivered through digital devices such as computer and mobile device that are provided to support learning. In the Faculty of Computer Science, Brawijaya University, e-learning has been used for learning activities. One of e-learning system that is being developed by Faculty of Computer Science is CodeManiac (CoMa). The exercises provided by CoMa is not adaptive to the mental condition of user. Stress has impact on the formation and retrieval of memories which have implication that stress can change the nature or quality of memories and can cause miss information. As a step to realizing an adaptable environment for CoMa, the first thing to do is to establish a physiological user monitoring system. Physiological signals can be used as features for user stress classification. Data from the monitoring system can be input for CoMa system as a basis for determining which exercise that will be given to user. The development process of system uses the waterfall method. The developed system produced 24 functional requirements and 2 non-functional requirements. Unit testing got 100% pass result and validation testing which have 33 test cases and got 100% pass result. Mobile application compatibility testing got result which is can run on Android Kitkat and Android Lollipop. Web application compatibility testing uses SortSite got no critical issue result. This system expected that can help CoMa for stress detection which can be used as a basis for determining exercise for users.

Abstract

Ihyaul Quran Indonesia Foundation is a foundation engaged in Al-Quran education. An official foundation needs a website as public information and to support the programs of the foundation. According to the results of initial interviews conducted with foundation stakeholders, the foundation needs a website that functions as a funnel for information on the foundation for the public and to support for making donations. However, the requirement continues to increase as this research progresses. There are two groups of users of this website, namely the general public and administrators who manage the website. This research uses the Human Centered Design (HCD) method which is user-oriented with the hope that the design made is truly in accordance with the user's needs. The HCD method begins with the process of understanding and specifying the context of use that will produce personas, analysis of the system environment, and system objectives. The second stage is to analyze user requirements that generate functional and non-functional requirements along with use cases. The third stage is to design a solution that produces a wireframe and high fidelity prototype. The last stage is an evaluation of the solution design. The results of the evaluation using the System Usability Scale (SUS) got a score of 87 in the general public user group design, 78.75 in the admin user group design, which means it has adjective ratings of excellent. Evaluation using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) got an excellent score on the attractiveness, efficiency, dependability, and simulation aspects. While the aspects of perspicuity and novelity got good scores.

Abstract

Information systems can be applied in all types of organizations, including financial institutions such as cooperatives. Based on an interview with Mr. Marzuki S.H as the head of the Kencana Sejahtera Baiturrahmah Cooperative, it was found that several problems occurred in savings and loan activities. Among them are the process of recording and making savings and loan transaction reports that are still manual. This causes data to be not well organized, causing data to be lost and causing data recording errors and disrupting the reporting process. To solve this problem, an information system was developed using the SDLC Waterfall method. The needs analysis process resulted in 4 aktors and 14 functional requirements. Then the design is carried out using UML diagrams and implemented using object-oriented programming with the Codeigniter framework. The testing process is carried out by doing blackbox testing to get 100% valid results, then testing the Systen Usability Scale on 4 users getting an average of 76.25%, meaning that the system developed into the criteria of good.

Abstract

The Vital Sign monitoring design is a medical technology system that will be designed to measure 4 Vital Signs in the human body, namely body temperature, heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation level in the blood, then send the data obtained using the LoRa module and make classification decisions using J48 Decision Tree. This Vital Sign monitoring design is designed because in general medical services still use traditional methods such as measuring blood pressure manually and then writing it on paper. The focus of this research is to get the value of 4 Vital Signs, send data, and make decisions. At the time of testing the system performance will be programmed with several menu selections between numbers 1, 2, 4, and 5 which have their respective functions. In sending the data, it will be tested at a certain distance using 2 Nodes, namely 1 Transmitter Node as the sender of the measurement results, and 1 Receiver Node to receive the measurement results.

Abstract

Mobile learning is now widely used as an alternative medium to support teaching and learning in schools. One of them is learning Javanese at the junior high school level. As in one of the schools sampled in this study is SMPN 3 Malang. From previous interviews, with Ms. Fita Mayasari as a regional language teacher at SMPN 3 Malang, it was concluded that from the many alternative learning media that have been used, there are still some redundant features and are not in line with the needs of supporting teaching and learning in SMPN 3 Malang. Therefore, it is necessary to make an alternative learning media application that is suitable to the needs during the learning process, especially learning Javanese. Application made based on Android. This is because the majority of smartphone users in Indonesia are users of devices with the Android operating system. The application development process is carried out with a prototyping method approach in order to produce a valid product in accordance with stakeholder needs. From the results of the tests conducted, it was found that functional testing results on 14 requirements were declared valid. Then in terms of usability with the USE questionnaire method, the results obtained in all aspects above 71% so that it was declared feasible. In addition, the results of the compatibility of the application also work well on Android devices starting from version 5.0 (Lollipop) to version 9.0 (Pie).

Abstract

E-Suket of Kediri City is an android-based application for independent official letter services for resident of Kediri City. Based on the result of a study of user reviews on the Google Play Store, there are several problems that users found while using the application, including failing to submit letter request and errors. Therefore, important to evaluate and improving the E-Suket application so it can increase it usability value. The evaluation method used is usability testing, which in the testing process involves the users to assess the extent to which the application has met the criteria being tested. Evaluation is done by testing assignments, filling out questionnaires, and interviews. In the evaluation process, the aspects being measured is based on ISO 9421-11 which are effectiveness, efficiency, and user satisfaction. Testing was done twice, namely testing on the initial design of application and testing on the recommendations for design improvement made based on the results of the initial design evaluation analysis. Based on the results of interviews with test respondents, there were 27 problems found in the application. There are 28 guidelines for developing recommendations for application design improvements. The test results on effectiveness aspect shows 55,5% for the initial design and 100% for the design recommendation, the test results on the effectiveness aspect shows 54,42% for the initial design and 100% for the design recommendation, and the test results on users satisfaction aspect using the SUS questionnaires shows 43,75 for initial design and 66,5 for design recommendation.

Abstract

The Vehicular Ad hoc network itself is an infrastructure which has the function to communicate with each other between vehicles and occurs through wireless links found on each node. To implement the Optimized Link State Routing protocol which is proactive and periodically sends a control message that has the goal of maintaining the destination path so that it is always available or stand by if needed. The TwoRayGround transmission performance will be performed in a comparison that matches the test parameters such as Packet Delivery Ratio, Throughput, and Delay. Therefore, from this problem a solution can be taken which uses OLSR protocol and TwoRayGround transmission in the VANET scope to make it more efficient and effective for sending a vehicle node. From the results of tests that have been carried out, Packet Delivery Ratio, Throughput, and Delay, in scenario which is the density of a node obtained from the OLSR protocol has a value in the packet delivery ratio of 7.2131%, a value at 0.84 kbps throughput, and a value at a delay of 0.41729 ms high. Referes to the test results of the three parameters that the OLSR protocols can be used on VANET.
