Abstract

Currently e-learning Moodle is a website that is often used to support the learningprocess, one of which is the Tutoring called The Second School. In the tutoring there are activities undertaken by the theacer such as announcement, material upload, and assignment. Then the teacher will notify manually via whatsapp group. However, from the above process, there is a problem faced by the teacer, namely when sending notifications of activities on e-learning is still done manually by sending notification to each class and whatsapp group. Based on the above problems, the researcher will implement the notification plugin as a medium of integration between Moodle e-learning and Telegram BOT. This study uses Telegram rather than Whatsapp because Telegram is equipped with BOT facilities which can be integrated into many applications one of which is e-learning Moodle which is used in tutoring The Second School. The purpose of implementing this notification plugin is expected to help teachers send notifications of announcements and students get notifications from Moodle e-learning through the Telegram application. The results obtained from the blackbox testing testing the implementation of the notification plugin as a medium of integration between Moodle e-learning and Telegram BOT can run as evidenced by the inclusion of notifications in Telegram after the announcement on Moodle e-learning. Furthermore, the results of the usability test using SUS get an average score of 74 in the category of Good and Grade Scale C, which means acceptable or acceptable in the acceptability ranges category.

Abstract

A smart wheelchair is a mobility aid that is easy to operate and aids in its users' independence. In its development, the smart wheelchair design not only pays attention to the aspect of convenience but also in terms of safety. Any obstacles that include accessibility obstacles in the environment must be detectable by a smart wheelchair to increase safety. One of these accessibility obstacles is the sudden change in the level of surfaces such as stairs. This research aims to create a system capable of detecting stairs descent, stairs ascent, and floors using the Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) method to obtain the extraction of characteristic features from stairs descent, stairs ascent, and floors. Then applies the K-Nearest Neighbors (K-NN) classification method to predict what states are detected. Using the GLCM methods with 4 feature (contrast, dissimilarity energy, and homogeneity), distance (d) = 4, q=90° and K-NN with k=4, the system obtained an average accuracy of 93.33% and an average computation time of 1551ms.

Abstract

One of the dynamic routing protocols that are found on a computer network as well as being the focus of this research is Open Shortest Path First (OSPF). The application of the OSPF routing protocol can be adapted to the conditions of a network through area grouping i.e. single area and multi area. Multi area implementation can reduce the number of routes monitored, the dissemination of information becomes more orderly and segmented, reduce the calculation frequency of the routing algorithm, and reduces resource usage of the router devices that run it. Therefore, in this study used Graphical Network Simulator 3 (GNS-3) to simulate single area and multi area to find out which concept of area is the most optimal in a network condition using the OSPF routing protocol. The parameters used as the performance measurement of the routing protocols are time Convergence and roundtrip time. Roundtrip times of single area using the OSPF protocol have a value of 183.4 ms, while multi area consisting of 3 areas and 5 areas using the OSPF routing protocol have a round-trip time of 175.6 ms and 179.1 ms. The convergence time in single area using the OSPF protocol has a value of 44.6 seconds, while multi area consisting of 3 areas and 5 areas using the OSPF routing protocol have a convergence time of 43.6 seconds and 40.6 seconds.

Abstract

The nRF24L01 module is more frequently used to send data on Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) compared to the ESP8266 module. This is because of the nRF24L01 module tend to be an Ultra Low Power (ULP) module which requires less power and can transmit data at speeds of 2Mbps. The nRF24L01 module can use 125 different channels and able to create 125 networks in one area and on each channel that has up to 6 addresses. The number of channels and adressess which can be made by the nRF24L01 will make the data traffic will be slightly harder to control and will having a chance to cause a security problem, such as it becomes more vulnerable to hack. Because there is an opportunity for the problem to occur, cryptographic method is needed to encrypt communications on the nRF24L01 module. The Light Encryption Device (LED) algorithm is a development of the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm and it is compatible with hardware because this algorithm is a fairly light algorithm if compared to other symmetric block ciphers in its class such as the AES algorithm itself, so that this LED algorithm can implemented in WSN with nRF24L01 module which tend to be Ultra Low Power to fulfill the basic principle of confidentiality security. The implementation of the LED algorithm on the system makes this system resistant to even passive and active attacks. Keywords: Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), nRF24L01, Light Encryption Device (LED)

Abstract

PT Agung Aquatic Marine or PT AAM is engaged in the field of export and import of ornamental saltwater fauna and flora, so the data from transactions and the availability of products became important in running their business operations. But those data are managed on separate divisions inside PT AAM, this could slow down the process of decision making by the executives of PT AAM. Because of that, PT AAM plans to integrate these data into a centralized source that helps in decision-making. One of the solutions to that problem is the development of a data warehouse so that the data can be integrated and makes it easier to make a decision. In the development of the data warehouse, a flow or method is used to make it easier to design and implement the data warehouse that is the Kimball or Nine-Step Kimball methodology. The data warehouse that has been developed, produces 4 dimension tables with 2 fact tables, that is fact table of ordering and purchasing. Then a requirement validation test is carried out which results in a valid status on all of the test cases. Other than that, an ETL process performance test is carried out that shows the average time of execution is ± 24 seconds for each ETL process of fact and dimension tables. Next, an ETL process scheduling test is carried out that produces the task that runs automatically and without any problems.

Abstract

The lack of public awareness about the existence of government online services is partly due to its spread on different platforms. By utilizing information technology, applications are seen as solutions that can accommodate various government services to be easier accessed by public. This study aims to design a good user experience using Human-Centered Design (HCD) approach in order to ease people in using government services. Context of use analysis is done by conducting interviews with Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika Kota Malang as the stakeholder. The second phase, user needs analysis, is carried out by analyzing the results of interviews with stakeholders and users in order to obta in the content needs. Then, producing design solutions is carried out by implementing the results of the analysis in to the form of storyboard, user flow, information architecture, wireframe, screenflow, mockup, and prototype. The last phase, design evaluation, is carried out through usability testing with five users in three iterations. Effectiveness aspect measured by the completion rate shows a stable success rate of 100%. The efficiency aspect which is measured by calculating time-based efficiency is scored 0.0189goals/sec. The satisfaction aspect is measured using single ease question and got a final score of 6. Through usability testing, problems are also found in the design solutions which are then fixed in each iteration.

Abstract

Library Malang application is an mobile application belonging to the Department of Library and Regional Archives Malang City. This application provides an online library service where users can read the Malang Library's book collection through the application. However, this app still has some issues. One of the interviews with users said that the appearance of the application which was less consistent in terms of color, size, and font type made users uncomfortable. The researcher also conducted initial research by evaluating the initial design using the heuristic evaluation method. The initial research resulted 11 usability and user interface problems. From the problems that have been described, the author conducted evaluation and improvement activities to the Library Malang application by using heuristic evaluation method to solve the problem of usability and user interface and Human Centered Design (HCD) approach. The stages in this research are identifying problems by interviewing stakeholder and users, study literature related to methods and related problems, carry out analysis and specification of usage contexts, carry out analysis and specification of user requirements, test and analyze preliminary designs using Heuristic Evaluation method, make solutions design, evaluate solution design using Heuristic Evaluation method, and compare the initial design and final design.

Abstract

The process of biodegradation is the activity of using a microorganism to carry out the process of handling waste quickly. Microorganisms that can handle waste efficiently are black larvae. Environmental quality of larvae supports the process of biodiversity. The environmental quality monitoring system uses several sensors and a microcontroller which is packaged in the form of a monitoring and classification system. Classification of the k-NN method produces three classes namely "Optimal", "Medium", and "Bad" with input of some environmental quality of larvae. Internet of Things (IoT) is used to send monitoring and classification system data results to an Android application. The results of the k-NN classification test showed 91.3%. Computational time testing gets time with an average of 4275ms on a system. Testing the sending of data from the system to Firebase and Firebase to the Android application results that 100% of data is sent according to the monitoring and classification system data.
