Abstract

Pets are animals that live side by side as friends with humans. The large number of abandoned pets is the case in various countries, it is not uncommon for abandoned animals to be found in a sick condition, experiencing violent injuries and even at the end of death. To reduce this, there are people who are willing to help the abandoned animals, but the limited information regarding the abandoned animals makes it difficult for animal helpers to help the abandoned animals. This study aims to design a user experience for animal adoption applications as a solution that can help connect animal owners with potential adopters to facilitate the search for animals that need adoption. The Human Centered Design (HCD) method is used in this research, which will later analyze the context and user needs, design solution designs and evaluate solution designs. The design evaluation on the design of this animal application solution uses usability testing and the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) given to 10 respondents. The results of this design evaluation obtained an effective value of 80%, efficiency of 0.108 goals/second, and user satisfaction of 83.25 with grade A and an adjective rating of Excellent. The value of user experience of the design of the solution that is made gets the UEQ value in the excellent category for aspects of attractiveness, efficiency, accuracy, stimulation and novelty. As for the clarity aspect, it gets a good category.

Abstract

In online learning situations, students study at home, so it is difficult for teachers to observe whether students are in an ideal learning environment and how students concentrate when carrying out online learning. This research is a quantitative type of causality analysis. This study seeks to find out the relation between learning concentration and learning outcomes, the relations between learning environment and learning outcomes, and also the relationship between learning concentration and learning environment together on learning outcomes. The data collection method used a questionnaire distributed and filled out by students online. The number of respondents was 51 students of class XII SMKN 8 Malang. This study uses the product moment correlation test to prove the hypothesis. The results showed (1) There was no positive and significant relation between learning concentration and learning outcomes based on a significance value of 0.600 > 0.05. (2) There is no positive and significant relations between the learning environment and learning outcomes based on a significance value of 0.962> 0.05. (3) There is no positive and significant relations between the variables of learning concentration and learning environment on learning outcomes based on a significance value of 0.764> 0.05.

Abstract

Training is an activity which develops an ability in certain fields. Training is a major part of building a basketball team. But in a Basketball team there is also a need for management. Management itself is a principle in regulating, building or compiling a plan or an organization. Training on the SABAC Team, which still uses manual methods and the management of players who still cannot be organized, is certainly a problem for the coach and also the players. Likewise, the Extracurricular Superintendent and Principal who can only come to a training session once a month still cannot see the development of the players from the SABAC Team significantly. However, among these factors, the Covid-19 pandemic is the main factor that hinders all these activities until the government takes an action called Social Distancing which causes delays in training and also correspondence between trainers, extracurricular supervisors and also school principals related to activities or events that will be carried out by the SABAC Team. Based on the problems that have been described, an application is made that facilitates the training or management process during this pandemic. In its development this application was built using the waterfall method and also a web-based application was chosen because it can be used on various platforms. From the results of the needs analysis obtained from interviews and also direct observations to the field, it produces 5 main actors, 64 functional needs and 1 non-functional requirement. For the design part of the application, Sequence Diagrams, Class Diagrams, Entity Relationship Diagrams, pseudocode and database design are the main parts in the system development process. In the implementation process, the PHP language becomes the builder of the object-based system and MySQL becomes the data storage part of the system. The next process is the testing stage where there is white-box testing consisting of unit testing and integration testing and also black-box testing to test all the validity of all functionalities. And there is also a Compatibility test where the testing process is assisted by an application called SortSite which tests on several browsers and also on Android and IOS, the result of this test is that the application can run smoothly without any missing content or error functionality.

Abstract

School is an institution that has several components that must be managed such as curriculum and learning components. At SDN Mulyorejo 3 Malang, some of the tasks in these components, such as scheduling activities, are still done manually using a spreadsheet and require a long time to generate a schedule. In addition, class management activities are not good because all subjects are contained in one classroom and attendance activities are carried out through WhatsApp groups. Therefore, to solve this problem, the school wants to build a system that can support these activities. The system was developed using the waterfall method in which there are stages requirements analysis, system design, system implementation using the CodeIgniter framework, and system testing using black box testing and user acceptance testing. Based on the results of black box testing, it was found that the system developed was in accordance with the design made. While the results of user acceptance on TU staff get a value of 94.28% which means that the system can be received very well. Then the results of user acceptance on the teacher get a value of 50% which means that the system is quite acceptable. While the results of user acceptance on students get a value of 87.5% which means that the system can be received very well.

Abstract

Employee Performance Evaluation is an evaluation process conducted by an agency, both government agencies and private agencies to measure the performance and quality of employees in the agency. PMA Dua Tax Service Office is one of the govenrment agency that run the performance evaluation to measure the performance of the Tax Auditor Functional. However, in the implementation of the performance evaluation, PMA Dua Tax Service Office encountered obstacles where the data variables were used and there were still a lot of scattered data. So it needs accuracy in processing the data used to assess employee performance. Therefore, the author conducted an analysis using naice bayes on the tax audit functional performance evaluation data in onder to fund out how the employee's performance was. The author uses the 2019 employee data as much as 64 data which is used to train the naive bayes model. The resultsof the application of data mining produce an accuracy of 93.75% using the Accuracy Score method and an accuracy of 82,5% using the K-Fold Cross Validation method. The naive bayes model that has been built is also used to predict employee performance in 2020 using 52 data. The dashboard that has been formed has an average score of 80, which means that the dashboard is acceptable and can be used by the PMA Dua Tax Service Office.

Abstract

Recaka is a perfume manufacturer located in Surabaya that sells products directly to consumers and sells products to be sold and re-marketed through distributors and resellers (members). The business process carried out between Recaka Parfum and its members still has several issues such as frequent errors in sending orders, inefficient payment verification processes, difficulties in monitoring and tracking orders. Recaka also has to anticipate in integrating the system in each of the businesses it owns because Recaka also has businesses in other fields (barbershop and fashion for men), each of which is planned to be developed using a different platform. A service-based B2B E-Commerce system was developed to solve these issues. The system was developed using the waterfall model with an object-oriented approach. A combination of several technologies (stack) consists of MongoDB as a database management system, Express Js as a back-end web framework, React Js as a library for building the user interface, and Node Js as a runtime environment (MERN stack) was used to develop this system. Unit, integration, and validation tests were conducted which resulted in valid values.

Abstract

The circular letter No. 4 of 2020 of the Ministry of Education and Culture regarding education policies during the Covid-19 pandemic contains appeals for implementing online learning. This condition leads to the evaluation of the application of online learning at State Vocational High School 7 Malang that has never implemented online learning before. Learning evaluation is useful to determine the achievement of learning objectives. This study aims to evaluate the application of online learning programs at State Vocational High School 7 Malang using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. It is expected that the study can provide information for State Vocational High School 7 Malang to improve the quality of learning programs. This study covered evaluation results based on the aspects of context, input, process, and product which in each aspect provided information about the implementation of online learning programs at this school and the influencing factors.

Abstract

Rice fields are one of the most important agricultural sectors for a country, because rice fields are the largest source of food for the Indonesian people. Like rice, rice is a relatively short-lived seasonal crop. Rice production itself is largely determined by plant genetics and environmental management of the land. In the process of rice farming, sufficient water and regular nitrogen fertilizers on the land are needed. Lack of understanding of most farmers in cultivating land is one of the problems in agriculture that can make crop yields less than optimal. Therefore, a monitoring system with WSN (Wireless Sensor Network) technology was created to help monitor water level and water pH, making it easier for farmers to find out the benchmark for water level and the pH value of water in their land. The system consists of 3 (three) slave nodes and 1 (one) master node which is in charge of sensing and sending data on water level and water pH. From the test results that have been done, the system can send data from the slave node to the master node using LoRa SX1276 communication. The device is capable of covering a large area with low power consumption with an RSSI signal at node 1 of -112.88 dB, node 2 of -102.76 dB, node 3 of -110.1 dB. The system is also equipped with the TDMA method, which is useful for scheduling data delivery that can reduce data collisions. The results of the sensing data will be displayed periodically on ThingSpeak.

Abstract

Curly chili is a basic necessity for the people of Malang City, namely as a complement to cooking spices so that its existence is often sought after. This causes fluctuation due to the influence of the amount of demand on price change. So a price prediction system for curly chilies is needed in Malang City to minimize price instability. Extreme Learning Machine (ELM) is a prediction method that has high accuracy and faster execution time. ELM does not have a feature selection function, so an optimization method such as Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is needed. PSO is implemented as a solution to get optimal weight with the fitness value as a comparison. Based on the tests that have been carried out on the price of curly chilies, the average MAPE value is 1,133803% and the average fitness value is 0,400346 with optimal parameters consisting of 2 features, hidden neuron is 3, the percentage comparison between training and testing data is 90%: 10%, the weight of inertia is 0,5, c1 is 3, c2 is 1,5, the lower speed limit value is -0,8, the speed upper limit value is 0,8, the population is 100, and it is carried out by 260 iterations. From the test results, it can be concluded that PSO is able to optimize the ELM weight so it could gets optimal accuracy.

Abstract

Guidance and counseling are some of the efforts given by SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Malang in providing assistance services to students. In providing assistance services to students, guidance and counseling teachers need to collect guidance data, but the guidance data collection is still done manually written in books, this creates inefficiency and takes a long time to find the guidance and counseling data needed. The purpose of this study was to design a web application-based guidance and counseling system user interface using the Human-Centered Design (HCD) method. The HCD method is used to design the user interface because this method can understand the needs of system users. The initial stage in the HCD method is the initial data collection which is carried out by interviewing users to understand and determine the user context and determine user needs. Next, design solutions that produce wireframes and prototypes. Then carry out the first and second evaluation activities which are evaluation and improvement, the process is part of the iteration process. The last process in HCD is the final evaluation of the solution design using the System Usability Scale method. The results of the design evaluation get a SUS score of 74.375. From the SUS score, the interface design of the guidance and counseling system is included in the ACCEPTABLE category or feasible and acceptable to users.
