Abstract

The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing of Republic of Indonesia Lampung branch do their job in refer to the road performance indicator. Along with the time, their job did not correspond in reality on field and shows that the road service level has not fulfilled and the practice of the road performance indicator had not implemented maximally. After the contract had been signed and check the design, it is different on field. This thing results in the money and the time that they have to do to re-negotiate through technical justification. Other than that, low control to the job by the service provider and the customer should be gone to prevent the problems came back every year. The problems got more affected by the unprofessional manner by the quality control unit that stand under the Superintended General. Following up from that, so therefore needed an extra instrument in the controlling area to fulfill the road service level and the road performance indicator. This instrument had to be an extra tools in the form of an application that is used by Satker (Satuan Kerja) and PPK (Pejabat Pembuat Komitmen) to push the level of road service. The road performance indicator is the benchmark for the success of fulfilling the level of road service correspond to terms and condition apply. This development build with a method with 7 steps that starts at literature studies then requirement analysis, the planning process, implementation, testing, analysis of testing results, and end with drawing out the conclusion. Black Box Testing with validation methods is used in this development and the results of this development is Petik BM application where The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing of Republic of Indonesia Lampung branch claims that this application fastened their job in maintaining the road.

Abstract

PT Mahitala Bramanta Digital has a brand called Pet N Pop, the company wants the Pet N Pop to issue various types of products. These products are Point of Sales specifically for Pet Shops and event services. To make it easier for users to find out the products provided by Pet N Pop, Pet N Pop requires a website interface design that is good and easy to use by users. This research was conducted with the aim of producing a user interface design for the Pet N Pop website using the Goal-Directed Design (GDD) method which consists of 6 phases. The research phase is useful for finding the needs desired by stakeholders and users. The modeling phase produces a user persona that describes the user with the contents of 4 variables and also the prospective user journey. Requirements phase, generate scenario context and arrange what is needed in the design. The framework phase, produces a web site user interface framework in the form of wireframes. Refinement phase, perfecting the user interface framework in the form of a high-fidelity prototype. The support phase carried out qualitative and quantitative testing using usability testing techniques and distributing PSSUQ questionnaires to 9 respondents. The end result of this research get good feedback from users because users feel that this website is easy to understand and can meet their needs. This website gets an average score of 1.78 on the overall scale of the PSSUQ questionnaire which indicates that the usability level of the design designed by the researcher is high and the users are satisfied.

Abstract

Hydroponics is a method of farming in which the growing media does not use soil but uses nutrient water needed by plants. There are several factors for the quality of the plants grown hydroponically are fresh and healthy. By controlling the height and temperature of the nutrient water in the hydroponic tub. The control process uses Arduino Uno ATMega328, the for the water level reading system using ultrasonic sensor HC-SR04 and reading the water temperature using a water temperature sensor DS18B20. The output for the water level is a water pump and for the water temperature is a cooling system using Peltier TEC1-12706 as the water cooling component. This research uses a simple linear regression method that functions to predict the duration of the system. The result of this study for the water level feature have a set point of 2,8 cm and the linear regression equation y = 9.71756x - 56.0144 then for the MAPE value is 6.097%. For the water temperature feature have a set point of 28°C and the linear regression equation y - 712.56386 - 19746.65866 then for the MAPE value is 6.3134%. And the computational value to get the duration or y value for the two features obtained from each simple linear regression equation is 1081 mx or 1.081 seconds.

Abstract

In economic life, the market is something that has a very vital role. The market has a role as a place to shop for the daily needs of people's lives. However, starting in December 2019, where the Corona Virus appeared, there was a very fast spread of COVID-19 all over the world. As a result, people find it difficult to leave their homes to shop for their daily needs. Fears of being exposed to COVID-19 have made most people no longer shop for their daily needs directly at traditional markets. Due to this pandemic, people find it difficult to travel outside their homes so they tend to shop online. However, when shopping for needs online, of course there are still problems that are felt by the people. The perceived problems include the length of delivery time that is considered long, the products provided are not as numerous or varied as those on the market, there is a minimal nominal purchase, and cannot see the product directly. Based on the problems described previously, this research will design the user experience of the Online Market application to the high-fidelity prototype using the design thinking method. In the final stage, testing the high-fidelity prototype that has been designed using the usability testing method is carried out by involving 5 potential users. From the results of the testing stage, the design of this application solution got a score for the effectiveness aspect of 100%, the efficiency aspect got a score of 0.035 goals/second, and for the satisfaction aspect it got a SUS score of 88. Based on the SUS score, the Mapper application solution design got a B value, the word property rating is in the very good category, and is in the Acceptable category.

Abstract

As the highest level school in High School category, Senior High School has a main fokus to preparing students to continue their education stage. For that reason, senior high school have to have a good management's strategies to support the student self-preparation. The academic management information system is a form of using technology to support education management by creating access to speed, accuracy, and integrated data collection which influencing the effectiveness and efficiency of educational services. SMAN 13 Depok is one of the senior high school that doesn't have an academic information system yet. SMAN 13 Depok needs a system which connecting the students and schools and also make it easier for both parties to control academic data. This study uses Goal Directed Design (GDD) as a method for designing the academic information system user interface (SIAKAD) of SMAN 13 Depok. The research resulted in a prototype user interface SIAKAD SMAN 13 Depok, which has task completion rate value of 100% for teacher users and 97.5% for student users with satisfactory as level of effectiveness. The time-based efficiency value is 0.011749 for teacher users and 0.014232 for student users. The SEQ is used to measure user satisfaction with result scores of 6.16, which is above the average.

Abstract

The provision of the mobile application for the online registration of the outpatients in RSUD Dr. Kariadi functions to support the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and increase the public health status in the implementation of the Technology of Information and Communication in the targeted health sector. The user experience can determine whether a product is successful or failed and determine the performance. It is necessary to evaluate the user experience regularly to make the application function optimally. The method used in this study to analyze the user experience is Human-Centered Design (HCD). The data was taken from the respondents using the USE questionnaire to re-design and fix the user problems in the application. There are four aspects of usability in the USE questionnaire. They are usefulness, ease of use, learning, and satisfaction. These aspects are contained in the 30 statements measured by seven Likert scales. In this research, an initial evaluation was performed to see the range of the usability. Then, the data obtained is used to create a new design of user interface recommendations. A final evaluation is performed to measure the range of the usability on the design of the interface recommendation made. In the initial evaluation, the range of usability obtained was 57,94% which means that the usability is in a good enough category. In the final evaluation, the data of the usability range obtained was 73,79% or in a good category. The result shows that the application's new design has higher usability than the initial application.

Abstract

FILKOM APPS is software with a web platform that is integrated with business processes running at the Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Brawijaya. The features offered by the FILKOM application are quite diverse, one of which is a dashboard. A dashboard is a visualization of information by providing an interface in various forms such as diagrams, reports, visual indicators combined with dynamic and relevant information. Faculties of Computer Science are often faced with fast academic business processes, for example, the process of guiding students' thesis to lecturers is often faced with a lack of efficiency and effectiveness in presenting data. In this regard, it is necessary to carry out continuous monitoring and measurement of performance to ensure the achievement of the goals that have been set. Improvement of the design by adding monitoring features to the evaluation of performance and processes using the Human-Centered - Design method which aims to create an interactive system that is expected to be able to solve problems regarding the effectiveness and efficiency of data presentation. The results obtained from the evaluation of the design improvement using the System Usability Scale, the effectiveness level is 69%, the efficiency level is 94.5% and the questionnaire results are 74.5% that the user is satisfied with the additional feature improvement, namely monitoring.

Abstract

The development of Moodle e-learning utilizing cloud computing services is increasingly popular where the cloud offers a pay-as-you-go resource rental system. Amazon web service (AWS) offers features and services such as AWS EC2 virtual private servers and AWS RDS services as database services for building Moodle services. However, due to the nature of cloud services, namely “pay-as-you-go” or pay according to resource usage, performance is key. To find out the performance of a number of resources that are built, it is necessary to design the resources to be used, looking at the performance aspect compared to the estimated costs that will be incurred as a consideration for resource selection decisions to build Moodle services. Testing and evaluating performance on multiple EC2 resource clusters and single RDS databases and read-replica databases via 50, 100, and 200 tiered HTTP requests on Moodle activities such as Login, Course, Forum, and Quiz to get results on CPU, RAM, and Throughput usage and Latency using Apache JMeter and System Activity Report (SAR). The system test results show that there is an increasing trend along with the increase in requests from clients to servers. View activities such as Login and Course require faster processing time than Forum and Quiz. To calculate the Performance-to-Cost Ratio, the EC2 t2.small and RDS db.t2.small clusters are superior from the aspect of Throughput to cost ratio of 0.23 requests/second per dollar.

Abstract

A thesis is a scientific paper that discusses a particular topic or field, written and designed by a student with the guidance of a supervisor as a condition for obtaining a bachelor's degree. In the last five years, various titles and thesis topics have been designed by students of the Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Brawijaya. The research data used is the title of the thesis with labeling based on the thesis topic of FILKOM UB students on the UB repository website. The topic class of the title of this classification thesis consists of areas of interest in FILKOM, namely Image Processing, Software Engineering, Decision Support Systems. The data used are 225 data with each topic totaling 75 data. This study aims to determine the classification of the thesis title data that has been labeled with the topic with the Support Vector Machine Algorithm using the Radial Basis Function kernel and the selection of Chi-Square features. The results of the system evaluation obtained by testing applying 10-fold cross-validation and 50% of the features used with Chi-Square are accuracy = 0.88, recall = 0.9063, precision = 0.881, f1-score = 0.8789 with the best parameter values ​​from the Support Vector Machine namely parameter (sigma) RBF kernel = 2.5, parameter (lambda) = 0.3, parameter (gamma) = 0.001, parameter C (complexity) = 0.1, parameter (epsilon) = 0.00001, and iteration = 75.
