Abstract

In research using Internet of Things, there is one component that uses the Wireless Sensor Network. In implementing on WSN, regular firmware update are needed to fix bug, security update and other problems. One of the obstacles when carrying out the firmware update process is if the system is implemented in a remote location such as being outside the city, it will take more time and effort to be able to update the firmware. By using the Over The Air firmware update method, users can update the system without need to go to the device location. However, there are WSN modules that cannot directly connect to the internet. Therefore, a gateway is used to bridge the process of sending firmware update using Bluetooth Low Energy. When an update is needed, the user will update the firmware via a computer or laptop that is connected to the internet. The data will be stored on firebase and will be downloaded by gateway. The gateway used uses the RaspberryPi 3 model B+ microcontroller. After the data is downloaded, it will be sent to the node named ESP32 microcontroller using BLE. Test were carried out to test the long delivery time using BLE based on the size of the data and the distance between the gateway and the ESP32 node. Fore sending 227 kB data sent at a distance of 5 meters it takes an average of 29 minutes 52 seconds and for 954 kB data sent at a distance of 5 meters it takes an average time of 1 hour 57 minutes 30 seconds. Because the BLE delivery is done per Byte so it will be sent one by one.

Abstract

Boarding House is a place to live for people who come from other regions or cities, especially such as students or workers. In the city of Malang, there are many students who come from outside the city to carry out lectures at their university. Especially for Brawijaya University where every year there are thousands of students who come from outside Malang. However, choosing the right boarding house is difficult because there are many factors that can influence students such as price, distance, facilities, surrounding areas, etc. From these problems, a system is needed that can help students choose the right boarding house. The solution to the problem is to create a decision support system. The purpose of this research is to create a decision support system to help students choose the right boarding house. The method used is the Analytical Hierarchy Process and Weighted Product (AHP-WP) method. The results of testing using the Spearman rank method get the best results on the number of alternatives as many as 31 with a value of 0.8362 which states that the relationship between the ranking results of the system and users is very strong.

Abstract

SD Al-Manar Surabaya needs a good user interface design and easy to use by everyone especially the school. The designed interface will be used as guidelines for implementing the academic information system website at SD Al-Manar Surabaya. This study aims to produce a user interface design for an academic information system website at SD Al-Manar Surabaya using the Goal Directed Design (GDD) method. From this research, a prototype user interface for an academic information system website was produced at SD Al-Manar Surabaya. After that, a final evaluation was carried out on the prototype which was made using usability testing on 5 respondents from each user and filling out the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire for 20 respondents. Usability testing is based on three aspects, namely effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction. Usability testing gets suggestions or feedback from respondents regarding the prototype made. The final results of this study produced a website user interface prototype for SD Al-Manar Surabaya academic information system which has an effectiveness value of 93.32% for admin, 90% for teachers, and 88.56% for student guardians. Time-based efficiency values ​​were 0.0893 goals/second for admins, 0.08348 goals/second for teachers, and 0.09343 goals/second for student parents. To measure user satisfaction using the SUS questionnaire with an overall result of 82.125 which is worth B in the excellent category.

Abstract

In the agricultural industry, the main sector in the economic world, digital image processing is needed which aims to increase work productivity and time efficiency to choose the quality of crops to be marketed to the public due to lack of autonomy which results in high production costs and high work costs. Chili is the plant included Solanceae genus that can be implanted in a hydroponic planting system that makes water a substitute for soil media. This hydroponic chili plant uses the Dutch Bucket planting system because it can be used in narrow environments and can be used flexibly. This detection is assisted by a simulator robot that has been designed with a certain height and distance, namely a height of 20 cm and a distance of 30 cm and 20 cm with the help of a Lux Meter to measure the intensity of ambient light which is then designed using Qt Designer as a Graphical User Interface platform which will display the results of hydroponic chili detection through the bounding box. The accuracy value on the successful detection of hydroponic chili maturity resulted in a percentage of 93% and a computational mean value of 3.841 seconds.

Abstract

Cacaban is a neighborhood in the city of Magelang with a variety of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The Industry and Trade Department plays a role as a stakeholder. Through interviews, SME traders agree that there should be a platform that can help promote their business products. In addition to traders, consumers also play a role in achieving maximum results. This research designs an SME information system application using the human-centered design method because it involves humans as users in terms of needs and behavior. The result of this research is a mobile application mock-up. Evaluation involves usability testing and user experience. The results indicate a 100% rate for the effectiveness aspect of usability testing for both user groups, consumers, and traders. The average efficiency aspect of the usability testing result for the consumer group is 0,37 seconds from a total of three tasks, while for the trader group it is 0,72 seconds from a total of five tasks. The average satisfaction aspect of the usability testing result among the four parameters for the consumer group is 86%, while for the trader group it is 91%. The results of user experience measurement for the consumer group were in the "good" and "excellent" categories, but in the novelty aspect, there was a decrease to "below average", because the participants felt that the application was like existing competing applications. The results of user experience measurement for the trader group were in the "good" category.

Abstract

Ditonton application is an application created using the Flutter framework to display a list of films that have been shown, along with ratings, genres, and synopsis for each film to help users decide which films to watch. In Ditonton application, there are several features that utilize various data processing models that use state management in the application. Researchers want to see the differences in the performance of implementing state management into applications based on three categories, namely memory usage, execution time, and CPU utilization. In testing the state management that will be tested and compared in this study is Provider and BLoC which are the most frequently used state management. The research was conducted by analyzing the implementation of state management, collecting performance test data, and comparing performance test data through 2 stages including the normality test and parametric or non-parametric statistical tests depending on the data from each category. From the results of the calculations that have been carried out, the results show that in the comparison of the use of state management in the memory usage category there is no difference from the values that have been tested. Whereas in the comparison of the use of state management in the categories of execution time and CPU utilization there are differences from the values that have been tested.

Abstract

Microclimate is an environmental condition in a certain limit area. The greenhouse microclimate is the environmental conditions inside greenhouse which include temperature, humidity, and light intensity. Tomato plants require optimal temperature and humidity conditions in order to grow properly. Mamdani fuzzy logic is used to calculate the length of time the heater and cooler are on based on the parameters of temperature and humidity in the tomato greenhouse. Therefore, in this study a microclimate monitoring system will be created on a tomato greehouse prototype with the fuzzy method and telegram application. The system created uses the DHT22 sensor to read the temperature and humidity inside greenhouse. ESP32 is used as the main processor with support that can connect to the internet. Then the results of sensor readings and fuzzy calculation results will be displayed via the LCD as well as the Telegram application. The reading error on the DHT22 sensor is 4.7% for temperature and 4.5% for humidity. The fuzzy calculations performed by the system to determine the length of time the heater and cooler are in accordance with calculations in mathlab with the same input. The Telegram application has succeeded in sending notifications on the results of monitoring and fuzzy calculations with an average delay of 9.07 seconds.

Abstract

Service provider companies must be able to satisfy the expectations of their customers. Therefore every company must find a way to satisfy its customers. After the company knows the factors that cause consumer dissatisfaction, the next step is to make changes to the cinema. One of the things that can be done to encourage the film industry in Indonesia is to improve the quality of cinemas in Indonesia by means of sentiment analysis of customer reviews as material for evaluating cinema quality analysis. According to New Star Cineplex Pasuruan, customer reviews are key for quality analysis. The classification method that will be used to carry out sentiment analysis of 796 customer reviews of New Star Cineplex Pasuruan which have gone through the text preprocessing stage is an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) at the level of price, place and customer service aspects. Evaluation of the ANN model using the fusion matrix shows that the value of the model accuracy has a proportion of 88%. On positive sentiment, it has a precision of 86%, 90% recall, 88% f1-score. Negative sentiment has a precision value of 89%, 84% recall, 86% f1-score. The results of the root cause analysis are evaluation recommendations in the form of gradual improvements to the general aspect of facilities, increased notifications and provision of queue numbers on aspects of customer service, and improvement of facilities on the price aspect.

Abstract

Climbing equipment rental is a climbing equipment rental service because climbing activities are rarely carried out in a relatively rare period of time and climbing equipment is not cheap. In response to these issues, the mountaineering equipment rental mobile application is designed for convenience in making rentals. This application has a rental by picking up the equipment at the store and rental of equipment by delivery order. The design of this application involves stakeholders who provide mountaineering equipment rental services in the city of Malang, namely Jawa Timur Outdoor Malang. To provide good user experience results, the approach used in designing this application is Human Centered Design because this approach has a broad focus on user needs which involves relevant stakeholders as well as prospective mountaineering equipment rentals who will use this application. The solution design evaluation phase uses usability testing and user experience involving ten participants. The results of usability testing on this application obtained efficacy 100%, efficiency 0.082 goals/second, and user satisfaction 82.3 with an adjective rating of excellent. Furthermore, the user experience test results obtained using the user experience questionnaire (UEQ) get benchmark results by getting very good categories in each aspect, namely attractiveness 2.18, perspicuity 2.13, efficiency 2.20, dependability 2.18, stimulation 2.15, and novelty 1.90.

Abstract

One of the factors that affect quality of broiler chicken is its coop environment condition. Farmers need to maintain optimum coop environment by maintaining temperature at 20-25°C, humidity in the range of 50-70%, and ammonia concentration at 0-5ppm. These problems can be overcome by system that monitors coop environment, so farmers can take the necessary action to maintaining it. The size of the cage, which is quite large, is a blockage for system implementation. Based on these reasons, implementation of WSN can meet the requirements while increasing the flexibility of the system. But, WSN system has some deficiency, such as complicated and time-consuming configurations. Therefore, implementation of pervasive computation into the system going to reduce human intervention and time used for system configuration. Chosen pervasive computation is a sensor node that can identify other nodes and connecting each other to system network. ESP8266 is used to process the data and deliver it using wireless. Output of the system is a website. From the test result, node capability to identify other nodes with average of 56.67% at four locations. While to connect with WiFi network at a distance level 3 to 4 meter, 8 to 10 meter, and 15 to 18 meters, node time to connect averaging at 48.8575 second. At same distance level, service discovery found the system with successful rate average at 73.33%
