Abstract

Semester Study Plan or Rencana Pembelajaran Semester (RPS) in Indonesia is a study plan document for one whole semester created by lecturer or a group of lecturer as a guide to reach the study goal for students. However, every documents created by lecturers doesnt have a standart even though they already received a template to create the study plan. Based on that problem, the lecturers need a system to make the documents easier to create according to the standarts. To create a good information system we need to focus on the user interface because with great Ui the system we create can be more appealing and keeping the user to stay and use the system. This research will create a web based user interface design using goal directed design. In this method there are six steps to create a design, the steps are research, modelling, requirement framework, refinement, and support. FIGMA is chosen to implement the UI prototype. After the protytpe is ready, usability evaluation will be conducted. There are two versions of this prototype, the first one with 69 score and the second with 75 score. Based on the results, it is recommended to use version two of the design with more improvements to increase the user interface usability.

Abstract

The problem experienced by PT Uni Farm Indonesia is market expansion and for MSMEs owner is efficiency in their shopping time. This study is aiming to help MSMEs owner in FnB sector to increase the efficiency of their business operations. This study develop android application so user can carry out activities efficiently. This study carried out 4 stages, namely architectural design, database, algorithm and interface. Requirements analysis carried out by forming functional requirement and non functional requirement. System design produces functional and non-functional requirements which are represented in the form of use case diagrams and scenarios. Implementation phase includes database, program code and interface. Testing phase consist of 5 tests, namely blackbox testing, system usability scale (SUS), task scenarios, internationalization testing and compatibility testing. Usability testing produces user satisfaction score of 86.5. The blackbox test produces 100% valid value, and the compatibility and internationalization tests show valid results. The results of the task scenario test show that the user's success rate is 100% and the user's time efficiency is 0.119 tasks/second. The results of the study make it easier for MSME owners to order raw materials efficiently and increase the efficiency of operational activities.

Abstract

Emotion is a feeling that causes behavioral and interaction changes towards one's surroundings. One way to detect human emotions is through speech. According to a survey, it was found that 1.6 million Indonesian teenagers experience anxiety disorder (Erskine et al., 2021). Anxiety disorder is a type of anxiety characterized by feelings of fear or vigilance that are not clearly defined (Saleh, 2019). Therefore, this study aims to create a tool to detect a person's emotional condition through voice processing, specifically fear emotions based on three intensity levels: low, medium, and high, with the purpose of serving as a consideration for psychologists/psychiatrists in the initial screening and diagnosis stages.. This research uses Gammatone-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (GFCC) extraction method which has an effective gamma filter for speech with high noise. In addition, this research also tests the capability of Random Forest Classifier classification in recognizing the intensity of fear emotion from speech signal. This research is important because it can provide information on the effectiveness of GFCC towards noise and the accuracy of GFCC extraction in the intensity detection system of fear emotion. This system is developed using a Raspberry Pi 4B as the processor and connected to an Android application for displaying the classification results. The connection between the Raspberry Pi 4B and the application is established via Bluetooth using the RFCOMM communication protocol. This research concludes that Signal-to-Noise Reduction on speech processed with GFCC extraction is more effective compared to Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC). The accuracy of the implementation of the emotion level recognition system using GFCC extraction and Random Forest Classifier classification is 73.33%.

Abstract

Management of activities PAUD Kartika Pradana is still done manually so the process still takes quite a lot of time. One of them is the activity of recording and disseminating activity reports which are still assisted by 2 software. The dissemination of activity reports and announcements made through the Whatsapp group is also often hidden with other messages so that many parents do not read this information. Therefore a solution was made by developing a web-based Kindegarten activity management system to assist activities carried out by the PAUD Kartika Pradana. System development uses the SDLC waterfall model whose consist of needs analysis, system design, system implementation, and system testing. Interviews were conducted with the PAUD Kartika Pradana to get what needs are needed in the system. System development uses the PHP programming language with the help of the Codeigniter 4 framework. Then the system is tested using the black box testing method with equivalence partitioning techniques and user acceptance tests. In addition, the system is also measured to see how far the developed system can solve the problem. The Kindergarten Activity Management System is complete with three main features, namely activity reports, announcements, and file uploads. The test results also prove that the output of the system is as desired and can be used according to its function. The system has also proven that it can solve existing problems.

Abstract

The use of smartphones in Indonesia tends to increase. Smartphone users alone have reached 28% of the total Indonesian population in 2019 and experienced an increase of 2% from the previous year. In certain months mobile phone sales can increase rapidly and may also decline. But often some phones go unsold for months and find that the selling price is decreasing. Therefore, an effort is needed to reduce the losses from this and increase profits. Taking into account the number of phones to be restocked one way to reduce losses on phones that have not been sold for a long time. Manfaat Cell is a mobile phone sales store domiciled in Karangploso, East Java. Over time some phones were not sold according to the target in the month due to the large number of goods but the interest of buyers was small, it took a plan for the number of products to be restocked, one of which was to implement a method to predict the number of goods to be restocked. The prediction system uses the backpropagation method and is optimized using particle swarm optimization. The data used is monthly Cell Benefit sales data from 2018 to 2021, with a 70% share for training data and 30% for testing data. The result of the backpropagation performance of the particle swarm optimization combination is a MAPE value of 3.453%, which is obtained from the combination of optimal parameters, namely input as many as 3, hidden as many as 3, output as many as 1, number of iterations as many as 200, inertia weight value of 0.9, and the number of pop sizes as many as 40.

Abstract

Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET) is one of the example of technology development in networking. In MANET there are nodes that has mobility and communicate with each other through wireless network. In order to communicate in MANET, there need to be routing protocol that can be used, and the most commonly used is Ad-Hoc on Demand Distance Vector (AODV). And live up to its name, AODV is a protocol that has a dynamic topology, and it fits right in for MANET conditions. Therefore, with those conditions, there's a need to conduct study if number and mobility of nodes will affect performance of AODV in MANET. This study aims to understand and analyze the performance of AODV in MANET if there's a change in number and mobility of nodes. On this study there will be 2 categories of special scenarios will also be conducted with difference in number of nodes and node speed. So the special scenarios are 2 node and 10 nodes with (20, 40, 60, 80, 100 m/s) for the speed of nodes. Through this study, the results are adding number of nodes from 2 to 10 nodes definitely affected the performance of AODV. The scenarios with 2 nodes show better results than the 10 nodes ones, because with more nodes it takes more time to find the route for sending packets. And with speed variation, it also affected the performance, as the faster the nodes, the harder it becomes to find a route with stability, as it shows on packet delivery ratio that keeps dropping.

Abstract

There were 103,645 traffic accidents in Indonesia in 2021, an increase of 3.6% from the previous year. The second leading cause of accidents was freight transport, at a percentage of 12%. According to the National Committee for Transportation Safety of the Republic of Indonesia (KNKT), 80% of accidents were caused by driver fatigue, which resulted in microsleep. To address this problem, a system for early detection of driver fatigue is needed. This system uses the eye aspect ratio (EAR) and mouth opening ratio (MOR) as the main parameters for detecting microsleep and yawning as a sign of fatigue. With an adaptive threshold, the accuracy of the system in detecting microsleep is 97%. The system's detection of yawning uses a Convolutional Neural Network (C-LSTM) model. The C-LSTM model was chosen because it is a combination of CNN for better feature recognition and LSTM for sequential learning. The accuracy of the yawn detection system is 98%. It can be concluded that this system works well in detecting driver fatigue.

Abstract

Every social media user certainly has certain motives in meeting their needs and satisfaction through social media. This is in accordance with the Uses and Gratifications (U&G) theory, where a media cannot influence the media or content one chooses, including as a support for learning. This study aims to analyze the behavior of students at the Faculty of Computer Science, University of Brawijaya regarding student behavior when using social media to find learning resources. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive method in order to understand other people's understanding of a phenomenon. The collection of data in this study was by means of semi-structured interviews, then the data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The results of this study indicate that students have various ways of obtaining and using learning information obtained on social media. In addition, students look for learning resources on certain social media for various reasons such as many users, easy access, and others. Each student also has preferences for the type of learning content they are looking for. Factors underlying student satisfaction with learning resources obtained through social media are influenced in terms of content, information obtained, and the use of social media.

Abstract

Intermediate Semester Activities (SA) are regular lecture activities packaged in the form of short semesters. There is a website developed by the Faculty of Computer Science, Brawijaya University (FILKOM UB) to help students administer the Intermediate Semester called FILKOM Apps. However, not all that student needs can be met because they still require consideration from the organizers. Delineation of the flow of administration in this activity requires analysis and modeling of business processes. There are five business processes identified and modeled using BPMN. The results of evaluating business processes using the QEF method identified 34 quality factors and among them there are 15 quality factors which do not meet the target because it has a gap in the calculation. Then do a root cause analysis using the Fishbone Diagram method identifies the top three categories that cause problems, namely categories measurement, man power and method. Business process improvement recommendations include a comparison of currently used business process simulations (as-is) with the recommended business process (to-be) using measurement time analysis on the Bizagi Modeler application. The design of SA has an increase in time efficiency of 26.04%. The SA data collection has an increase in time efficiency of 37.8%. In SA scheduling, it has an increase in time efficiency of 15.58%. SA registration and payment has an increase in time efficiency of 2.49%. The SA validation has an increase in time efficiency of 7.47%.

Abstract

A research with the title “Identification System for Digestive Health by Bowel Sound using Convolutional Neural Network” is a research done by a college student named Ryzaldi Ananda Fabiana with the purpose of making a system that could detect ileus obstruction from the person's gastrointestinal sound. But, the implementation of the system uses VNC viewer as an application which needs internet connection to run and showing the result of identification on the raspberry pi's terminal. A solution to the problem is to create a specific application from scratch specifically for the system using a protocol that doesn't require any internet such as BLE or Bluetooth Low Energy. This research will modify the previous research's raspbberry pi untuk a BLE peripheral and create and application that will run as a BLE central that will initiate the connection with the raspberry pi. The system works by initiating a connection between the application and raspberry pi where from the application side it will show every service and characteristic that is initialized on the raspberry pi side and includes several buttons to call the identification functions, merge and downsample the signal data and send the data. This study found that the average time it took for the application and raspberry pi to finish creating a connection or the delay is about 2.060369 seconds, sending a message has an average delay of 0.190982 seconds and sending data has an average delay of 0.0564674 seconds.
