Abstract

The development of Islamic society in the millennial era in Indonesia today is quite dynamic. Education progress is one of the road graders for their vertical mobility. At the next level, this progress significantly led to a community that came to be known as the Muslim middle class, which offered features and dynamics of Islamic life that integrated with modernity. Further development, a millennial generation emerged that was triggered by the advancement of information-communication technology, along with the growth of new traditions known as Islamic popular culture, including the Hijrah trend. This study wants to look at the trends of Hijrah and the background of the reconstruction of the identity of millennial Muslim generations while at the same time able to blend in with modernity at state universities in Lombok. The paradigm used is a qualitative paradigm based on field research. The results of this study indicate that the Hijrah attribute that is trending among Lombok millennials is the wear of fashionable syar'i clothing such as veils with various models and colours, syar'i veils, fashionable headscarves, increased observance of worship, Islamic quotes on social media accounts, and lengthening the beard.

Abstract

This study is entitled "Tarekat and Philanthropy: Study of the Social Activities of the Al-Haqqani Naqsyabandiyah Congregation in Indonesia". The background of this case study is Sufism so far known as the esoteric dimension in Islam. This identification often gets Sufism considered to be mystical and ascetic. So far, the Sufis are seen as a group of people who emphasize individual piety (personal) rather than social piety. However, in contrast to the Naqshbandiyah Al-Haqqani Congregation, its students must go into the community and be active in social life. In terms of the formulation of the problem two questions can be drawn namely; First, what is behind the Naqshabandiyah Al-Haqqani Congregation is engaged in social and philanthropic activities. Second, What is the social activity and philanthropy of the Al-Haqqani Naqshbandiyah Order. Efforts to answer the problems in this study will be used field research methods, namely by digging field data and observing directly. This paper describes the social activities of the tarekat as the object of study. The results of this study indicate that there is a Naqsyabandiyah Al-Haqqani order which is active in social and philanthropy. The social activities of the Al-Haqqani Naqsyabandiyah Congregation are realized through institutions such as: HCNS (Hajjah Naziha Charitable Society), Rumi Café, Karem Food Drive, Rabbani Sufi Center and CV Sogan Jaya / Sogan Batik.

Abstract

The spirit (al-Âtman) is a Hindu metaphysical subject. It is spritual existence, intangible by the senses, and abstracted from material physical matters. It is not subject to natural laws, which go beyond the limits of nature. It is the life force of living beings, and a spiritual substance that is not perceived by ordinary means. It is the source of life and movement in all assets.  Âtman is immortal and inexhaustible.

Abstract

This study, based on recent virtual observation, explores the process of cultural negotiations of singing Singiran among millennial. In addition, it also breaks down the strategies practiced by the Singiran musicians in introducing their artistic products into digital society. In this study, in addition to observing the lyrics and chords of Singiran, I interviewed Rijal Vertizon and his associates; the musicians who have popularity based on the number of their subscribers. The Singiran musicians regenerated the tradition of singing Singiran with innovation, especially upon the arrangement of the music, as well as developing a strategy to improve sounds and fulfill the aesthetic changes of populist Muslim markets and newly emerging millennial Muslim identities. In addition to reconstructing this traditional culture, Singiran musicians are interested in creating a positive image both for insiders and outsiders of Javanese cultures and reaching the larger Muslim community. My observations to the Singiran's enthusiasts show that innovative Singiran can play a role in shaping the cultural identity of the Javanese Millennial Muslim. In other perspective, it could be called as a new kind of local wisdom in contemporary Javanese life.

Abstract

The diversity of religions necessitates the recognition and respect of religions other than ours. Islam is a religion that is peaceful and full of love. The spread of radicalism in religious communities in Indonesia illustrates the lack of tolerance in the recognition of religious diversity and the religious diversity of others. This literary research uses a qualitative approach with content analysis and comprehensive interpretation for the Qur'anic text about reciprocity verses. This study concludes that the Qur'an provides enthusiasm and solutions in terms of management and counteracts religious radicalism in the spirit of 'mutual'. Recitation of reciprocal verses as illustrated by the Quran with the editorial and unique arrangement of language in the al-Nisa’ verse 86 and al-An'am verse 108 provides a 'mutual' solution. The principle of mutual respect (al-Nisa ': 86) and not berating each other (al-An'am: 108) with a better attitude in religious life.

Abstract

Calling Sunan Drajat already familiar and his work has resonated in the archipelago. The struggle and character of the Walisongo to date remain in the hearts of the Indonesian people so that it becomes a separate tradition to always be blessed through the moment of Walisongo pilgrimage. The community is so hypnotized by the power to always appreciate good intentions through Walisongo pilgrimage moments as a form of gratitude and want to imitate Kipra and Walisongo's struggle. But with the development of the times and advances in technology, the community has been hypnotized by the presence of pilgrims. The community has used and tried to make profits only regardless of the actual conditions that religious tourism has become a magnet for mere profit. Many are forgotten and neglected from the essence of the sunan Drajat Lamongan tomb, which is a place to get closer to Allah on a pilgrimage.

Abstract

The phenomenon of the emergence of a higher interest in studying religious knowledge with a spiritual path began to develop in society. This cannot be separated from the role of the tarekat in the midst of urban life. People in urban areas who study religious knowledge and learn about Sufism in urban areas are then better known as "urban Sufism". The existence of an institution that facilitates students who want to explore religious knowledge while learning Sufism, UICCI Islamic Boarding School branch Sulaimaiyah Ciputat, located in Ciputat, South Tangerang, is a place for Muslim students who want to study religious knowledge and also Sufism. Most students in this pesantren are students from various fields and majors from various universities which are dominated by UIN Jakarta students. This pesantren has its own privileges compared to several other pesantren around it, namely that they practice the teachings of Sufism with the Naqsyabandiyah order as its basic foundation.
