Abstract

Rambu Solo’ is one of the customs that the Toraja people still preserve. The implementation of Rambu Solo’ becomes a challenge for some families because this ritual becomes an obligation done as a form of gratitude to people who have died. Besides that, Rambu Solo’s ceremony requires every family to be able to pay off their debt (indan) from the ritual. This problem makes the family depressed, so it is expected that the family can be resilient in daily life. Thus, This study aims to find out the relationship between religiosity and the family resilience of those who carry out Rambu Solo’s ritual in Toraja. The method used is quantitatively correlational. Participants involved as many as 93 Toraja people aged 22-50 years who had or were carrying out Rambu Solo’ ritual using incidental sampling techniques. The measurement scale uses the religiosity scale and the family resilience scale. The results showed a significant positive relationship between religiosity and the family resilience of those who perform Rambu Solo’ ritual in Toraja. This result has implications that families among Toraja who have the debt (Indan) due to carrying out Rambu Solo’ ritual, can survive after getting out of the pressure by paying off their debt (Indan).

Abstract

It is unquestionably impossible to separate the complexity of freight forwarding tasks in managing export-import documents from the issues that lead to customers' complaints. For this reason, this study is conducted to deeply investigate the forms of customer complaints at freight forwarding companies, the complaints handling strategies used, as well as explore the service recovery generated after complaints. It involved four freight forwarding companies in DKI Jakarta province. The staff who handled customer complaints from each company was asked to fill out a complaint sheet whenever the complaints were addressed for two weeks. Interviews with each staff were conducted to confirm data from the sheet and also to further explore the company’s complaint-handling strategy and service recovery. The data were analyzed descriptively by reading the complaints sheets and the interview transcription several times, coding the emergent themes, and categorizing them. The results showed that the customers’ complaints belong to four categories, namely complaints related to time, documents, costs, and means of transportation. The strategy for handling customer complaints varied based on the media used to address complaints. The strategy for handling complaints addressed orally via a phone call was apologizing, finding out the source of the problems, as well as giving explanations and solutions. However, complaints addressed in written form via email and WhatsApp messages were handled by directly addressing the problem and then informing the customer. This research indicated that companies need to make continuous service recovery by improving problematic side areas in order to increase customer retention.

Abstract

Pengetahuan tentang penanganan pertolongan pertama atau first aid memegang peranan penting dalam menentukan keselamatan dan keberhasilan pertolongan. Kasus kecelakaan atau gawat darurat dapat ebrakibat fatal apabila terjadi kesalahan dalam pemberian pertolongan di awal serta sikap penanganan yang tidak tepat. Salah satu sebab terjadinya hal tersebut karena persepsi masyarakat yang keliru mengenai pentingnya tindakan penanganan pertama pada kecelakaan.  Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif komparatif dengan mengambil masyarakat pelaku wisata yang berada di wilayah Pantai Lovina sebagai populasi dan dengan teknik total sampling maka seluruh populasi digunakan sebagai sampel penelitian sebanyak 56 orang. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan metode kuesioner dengan menggunakan likert scale yang telah diuji secara content oleh 2 orang ahli dan didapatkan nilai validitas isi dengan formula Gregory adalah 0.8. Hipotesis penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa terdapat perbedaan persepsi masyarakat ditinjau dari usia, pendidikan, pekerjaan dan jenis kelamin. Dengan memperhatikan skala data penelitian adalah nominal maka metode analisis statistic yang digunakan adalah statistik non parametrik chi square dan menunjukkan nilai χ2 > 0.05 yaitu menerima H0 artinya tidak terdapat perbedaan persepsi masyarakat ditinjau dari usia, pendidikan, pekerjaan dan jenis kelamin. Hasil penelitian diatas menunjukkan bahwa persepsi masyarakat tidak berbeda secara usia, pendidikan dan pekerjaan, sehingga dalam upaya pembentukkan persepsi yang positif di masyarakat dapat mempertimbangkan faktor lain yang tidak diteliti pada penelitian ini.

Abstract

This research intends to investigate the ability of Return on assets (ROA), return on equity (ROE), earnings per share (EPS), dividend yield (DY), and book-to-market ratio (BMR) on stock returns. Stock investment is one strategy for investors to channel their finances while boosting wealth due to the high return on equities earned. In this study, company information is represented by financial ratios, which play a significant role in guiding investors in identifying which companies have the potential to give the highest number of returns. With 164 total observations, this research used 56 companies that were part of the LQ45 index on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) in the 2019–2022 timeframe as a sample study with the aim to examine the effects of ROA, ROE, EPS, dividend yield, and book-to-market ratio on stock return. Using STATA 14.0 software, double linear regression analysis is used in the hypothesis test. The results of this research, as proven by the regression analysis, are as follows: (1) the book-to-market ratio negatively affects stock return; and (2) ROA, ROE, EPS, and dividend yield have no bearing on stock return. This study emphasizes the value of diversifying investment strategies and avoiding a narrow range of financial ratios when choosing which stocks to buy. Investors should evaluate general business conditions and take a wider range of issues into account.

Abstract

Setelah Orde Baru, Partai Golkar mengalami penurunan dukungan elektoral secara bertahap sepanjang siklus pemilu berturut-turut. Namun pada pemilu legislatif 2019, Golkar tampil sebagai partai unggulan dalam perolehan suara di daerah pemilihan Jawa Barat VIII. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan studi literatur sebagai pengumpulan data untuk memperoleh temuan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, strategi politik Partai Golkar diawali dengan proses konsolidasi internal partai. Agenda partai secara signifikan menekankan peningkatan pembangunan ekonomi dan penguatan kader dan sayap. Institut Golkar, sebuah organisasi yang didedikasikan untuk pelatihan politik, aktif mencari dan merekrut generasi muda untuk menjadi kader. Pada kampanye pemilu tahun 2019 di daerah pemilihan Jawa Barat VIII, Partai Golkar menerapkan kebijakan tegas nihil toleransi terhadap anggotanya yang terlibat prosedur hukum. Pendekatan ini efektif menjaga reputasi partai dan menumbuhkan kepercayaan masyarakat. Golkar aktif menjalin kerja sama dengan banyak organisasi masyarakat dan pemuda demi menjaga proses demokrasi pada pemilu 2019 di daerah pemilihan Jawa Barat VIII. Golkar di daerah pemilihan Jawa Barat VIII telah melibatkan jasa pakar politik untuk meningkatkan pemahaman geopolitik. Keputusan mengambil alternatif ini dilatarbelakangi oleh terbatasnya sumber daya teknis partai di bidang survei, periklanan, dan pengolahan Big data. Konsultan didatangkan karena partainya menekankan pada manajemen pemilih. Partai Golkar memanfaatkan data besar yang diperoleh dari platform media sosial untuk merumuskan program kampanye yang secara efektif merespons perubahan demografi pemilih, dengan penekanan khusus pada peningkatan dana kampanye politik, pengaruh pemilih muda, dan perluasan akses internet dan media sosial.

Abstract

Provilege fund is matter that attached to the Province of Yogyakarta Special District as a special autonomous region. The privilege fund has an objective to create prosperity for the socieites of the through the benefit optimalization of each activity done and relevant with the special authority. The Use of Privilege Fund cannot be separated from the synergic collaboration among stakeholders that in this analysis focuses on the Collaboration between Province Government Of the Special Region Of Yogyakarta And Kalurahan Government In in the use of privilege fund. This issue becomes a special attention because the high poverty condition level in DIY, which is based in the village areas. The intertwined collaboration between province. Government Of the Special Region Of Yogyakarta And Kalurahan Government In in the use of privilege fund generally becomes an instrument to increase the rate of economic growth and Yogyakarta societies’ welfare. This research utilized Qualitative Method with phenomenology approach. The data collection technique was performed through observation, interview and documentation. This analysis result indicates that the collaboration built between province and Kalurahan government (village) has not been holistically correlated so that the relation is more hierarchic (top down). Besides, there is an ambiguity tendency towards the spirit of villages to build that causes the low local initiatives and generally the authority possessed by the villages.

Abstract

In a romantic relationship, the quality of a romantic relationship is one of the factors that can maintain a relationship, where individuals subjectively evaluate the relationship carried out with their partner. The quality of romantic relationships can also be influenced by the family especially in terms of relating to others because parents are considered important and are models for their children. This study aims to determine whether or not there is a relationship between the perception of the quality of romantic relationships of parents and the quality of romantic relationships among students in Malang. This research method uses a correlational quantitative method approach on 402 students in Malang aged 18-25 years. The data collection instrument used The Parental Relationship Evaluation Questionnaire (PRE) with 34 items (α = .986) and The Perceived Relationship Quality Component (PRQC) with 17 valid items (α = .944) which have been translated into Indonesian. The sampling technique uses convenience sampling with the Spearman Rank correlation test analysis technique. The results of this study showed that there was a significant relationship with a value of .160 between the Perception of the Quality of Romantic Relationships of Parents with the Quality of Romantic Relationships of Students in Malang with the direction of a positive relationship. This means that the lower the quality of romantic relationships of students, the lower the perception of the quality of romantic relationships of parents and vice versa.

Abstract

The quality of marriage reflects the harmonious relationship between husband and wife which is a factor in preventing divorce. The aim of this research is to analyze the factors that influence the quality of marriage in working husband and wife families. The research design is a cross sectional study. The research location is Bogor City, West Java. Research locations in government agencies and regionally owned enterprises (BUMD). The population of this study was husbands in husband-and-wife families working in government agencies and BUMDs in Bogor City. The number of respondents was 200 husbands (60 husbands worked as civil servants and 60 husbands worked as BUMD employees). Data was obtained by direct interviews using a structured questionnaire. Data were processed and analyzed using SPSS for Windows and SEM-PLS (Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Square). The research results show that the quality of marriage in working husband and wife families is influenced by husband-and-wife interactions. The SEM test results also show that there is an influence between other variables in this study. Gender relations have a positive effect on fathers' parenting styles and husband and wife interactions. Husband and wife interactions have a positive effect on fathers' parenting styles. The implication of this research is the importance of husband-and-wife interaction to improve the quality of marriage in working husband and wife families.

Abstract

The background is based on the phenomenon of deviating aspects of morality which often color Minangkabau novels. As a result, there are writers who criticize especially social problems that occur in local communities. The purpose of this research is to describe aspects of deviating aspects of morality in local novels, especially Ismet Fanany's Bulan Susut by Ismet Fanany and their implementation towards learning in schools in the face of the demographic bonus era. Qualitative and analytical descriptive methods form the basis of this research type and method. Based on the findings (1) Aspects of conscience with a total of 9 data findings with a percentage of 21.96%. (2) Aspects of freedom and responsibility with a total of 11 data findings with a percentage of 26.83%. (3) Aspects of rights and obligations with a total of 8 data findings with a percentage of 19.51%. (4) Aspects of values and norms with a total of 13 data findings with a percentage of 31.70%. Implications in this research are interpreted not to be taught research that is obtained openly which is direct in nature, but this research will utilize positive values as an effort to form good character for learning challenges in the era of demographic bonuses.

Abstract

Instagram has become a new public space in politics used to influence and attract public sympathy by a politician, one of whom is Ridwan Kamil. This article aims to explain the process of building and maintaining the identity of celebrity politician Ridwan Kamil on the Instagram account @ridwankamil as a way of carrying out a hegemony project. Mixed methods are used in this article through a corpus-based digital humanities approach, a theoretical framework of critical discourse analysis, hegemony, celebrity politicians, and self-presentation. The research results show two findings. First, Ridwan Kamil built the identity of a celebrity politician through his Instagram account by using visual images to show his physical characteristics. Second, Ridwan Kamil often uses the words "Bandung" and "West Java" as nodal points which refer to the area of political power he has, then uses the words "I" and "us" as well as three self-presentation techniques, namely self-branding, life streaming, and micro-celebrity to maintain the identity of celebrity politicians. This article argues that the identity of celebrity politicians is a hegemonic project because the chains of equality and the illusion of closeness created by celebrity politicians obscure power relations, but on the other hand, show themselves as rulers.
