Abstract

Misconception is a misunderstanding or inaccurate understanding of a certain concept or information. Category misconceptions are still common in elementary school sixth grade students, the occurrence of misconception can be due to several factors. This research aims to identify and discredit misconceptions of elementary school sixth grade students in the eye of solar system material IPA lessons. Data collection method using four-tier test instruments. The approach used in the research is a quantitative approach. The research was carried out at the State SD 2 Nadi Bulukerto district. The population in the study was class VI students. The study sample is 16 students who have studied the material of the Solar System. Data from the research was analyzed using descriptive quantitative analysis. The results of the study showed that misconceptions that occurred in elementary school students belonged to the "Medium" misconception category with a percentage of 53,125%. Students experienced the highest misconcept on the following four concepts: 1) planetary arrangement in orbit; 2) planetary identification based on its characteristics; 3) elements on Saturn's planetary rings; and 4) celestial objects that include stars.

Abstract

The study utilized a correlation research design and employed the Simple Random Sampling Technique to select 100 counselors. Data were gathered using scales developed by Cameron, Berling, and Kataria, which respectively measured Communication Skills (CSS), Time Management Skills (TMS), and Effective Service Delivery Skills (ESDS). Statistical analyses included Pearson Product-Moment Correlation (PPMC) and Multiple Regression, with a significance level set at 0.05. Results indicated a significant positive correlation between communication skills and effective service delivery (r = 0.64, df = 198, p 0.05), as well as between time management and effective service delivery (r = 0.64, df = 198, p 0.05). Furthermore, there was a significant combined contribution of communication skills and time management to effective service delivery (Adjusted R^2 = 0.59, df = 2/97, F = 71.13, p 0.05). Communication skills (β = 0.47) and time management (β = 0.46) both made significant relative contributions to effective service delivery among counselors.

Abstract

Rapid technological developments encourage innovation in teaching materials, including the transfer of printed modules into electronic modules (e-modules). E-modules can present structured teaching materials in electronic format, including audio, visual, and audio-visual media that can increase student learning motivation. However, the use of e-modules in primary schools is still limited. This study aims to develop a digital flipbook-based electronic module (e-module) on measurement material to increase the learning motivation of grade 1 students at MI Mambaul Ulum Kandangrejo-Jember. The research method used Research and Development (RD) with the ADDIE model. The e-module development was conducted at MI Mambaul Ulum Kandangrejo-Jember. Data were collected through validation by media, language, and material experts. The small-scale implementation test involved 5 students, while the large-scale involved 12 students. The results of media expert validation showed a very feasible category with a percentage of 84.80%, material expert validation was also very feasible with a percentage of 81.60%. The small-scale implementation test obtained a result of 90.75% (very feasible), while the large scale was 86.90% (very feasible). Based on these data, it can be concluded that the digital flipbook-based e-module on measurement material to increase the learning motivation of grade 1 students at MI Mambaul Ulum Kandangrejo-Jember is in the category of very feasible and effective to use in learning.

Abstract

The delivery of information or messages that are important in learning can be channeled through learning media. Along with utilizing textbooks, the learning process can be further supported by employing a learning message agent. Creating effective learning tools can help address challenges students face, particularly in mathematics education. This study aims to examine the requirements for mathematics learning media to simplify the comprehension of the material for students. The participants in this study included teachers and all grade IV students at UPT SDN Sumberjati, totaling 13 students. Data was collected via interviews and questionnaires, highlighting the need for engaging, practical learning tools that include images and videos focused on rounding, estimation, and character development.

Abstract

This study investigated the alignment of the RADEC model with psychological principles and cognitive processes to strengthen creative thinking skills. The method used in this study was quasi-experiment with non-equivalent pretest posttest control group design. A total of 48 students as samples of this study were grouped into experimental groups and control groups. The data were collected through test instruments in the form of case study questions to assess students' creative thinking skills. The data were analyzed through descriptive statistical test and independent-sample t test with the help of SPSS version 29 for windows. The findings of this study reveal that the RADEC learning model effectively strengthens students' creative thinking skills. The steps of this model help foster innovative creative thinking in students' problem-solving. The implications of this study highlight the RADEC model as an effective framework for fostering creativity in education. It supports curriculum developers and educators in designing learning processes that nurture students' innovative and critical thinking skills, essential for 21st-century challenges. The model's adaptability to diverse learning styles ensures broader applicability across educational contexts, contributing to the development of problem-solving abilities needed in real-world scenarios.

Abstract

This research and development aims to create a Scratch 3.0- based science education game product on solar system material that is valid, practical, and effective to improving students’ learning outcomes. The method used is Research and Development (RD) with the ADDIE development model. The subjects in this research and development consisted of material expert and media experts also 30 students and a 6th grade teacher of SDN Keniten 1. The data collection instrument consisted of a questionnaire, pre test, and post test. The validity test results based on material experts obtained an average percentage of 91.1%, while based on media experts obtained an average percentage of 95.3%, both of that were included in the very valid category. The practicality test from students obtained a score of 98.9% and from the teacher obtained a score of 95.4%, both of that were included in the very practical category. The results of the data prerequisite test were normally distributed and the results of the paired sample t-test effectiveness test obtained a Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 0.05, it can be summed up that ????0 is rejected and ???????? is accepted or there is a significant difference between the pre and post test results. Thus, the use of Scratch 3.0-based science educational games is declared very valid, practical, and significantly effective to improve students’ learning outcomes on solar system material.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to analyze the errors made by elementary school students in learning division in a public elementary school in Bojonegoro Regency. This research is classified as qualitative research employing descriptive methods. Data were collected from 29 fourth-grade students. The data were analyzed using Newman's Error Analysis. The results showed that students made errors in applying multiplication rules or subtraction rules in division problems. The majority of students' errors occurred in comprehension errors, transformation errors, and process skill errors. These errors highlight the need to focus on understanding the underlying mathematical process skills so that students can not only answer questions correctly but also apply the correct steps to solve math problems accurately. Therefore, identifying these errors is crucial to prevent the accumulation of mistakes or misunderstandings that can persist to higher education levels. Thus, it is important to provide further assistance to students in understanding and solving math problems and to build a strong foundation to ensure correct mathematical understanding from an early age in elementary school.

Abstract

The research aims to find out whether there is an influence between savings interests on the level of financial literacy of students of SD N Brengosan 1. This research was carried out at SD N Brengosan 1 which is rescued at JL. Kayunan Raya No. 3 Kayunan. This research is a quantitative survey using a questionnaire. The sampling technique in this study used random samplings with a total sample of 84 students out of a total population of 106 students. The analytical technique used was a simple regression test continued with a hypothesis test with a degree of significance of 0.05. The results of the study concluded that the simple regression test yielded a positive regression coefficient value which means that interest in saving had a positive influence on financial literacy resulting in a regression equation of Y + 0.581 + 0.911 X. The square R value derived from the determination factor test resulted in a value of 0.704, which means the influence of savings interest on the student's level of financial literature was 70,4% which meant that the individual had knowledge of moderate financial literation.
