Abstract

This paper evaluates the effectiveness of the Factoring Regulation (Amendment) Bill 2021 in stabilizing the economic situation of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in India using doctrinal research methods and comparative study. It compared the factoring regulations of India and China. The authors analyse the ramifications of the recent amendments to the Factoring law via a comprehensive literature review, legal frameworks, and comparative analysis of India and China. This study seeks to cast light on the potential of the Factoring Law in addressing the financial challenges encountered by SMEs in India. The findings provide policymakers, stakeholders, and researchers with vital insights into the regulatory framework's effectiveness and potential improvement areas. The research concluded that factoring is an important worldwide trade financing tool for economic development and financial inclusion since it promotes entrepreneurship, private enterprise, and supply chain finance. In order to raise its standing, India may consider adopting features from the Chinese Civil Code, setting regulations for factoring rights transfer, and prioritising creditor interests.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of waste management policies in Simeulue District. The method used is qualitative, while the informants are determined by purposive sampling. Data was collected through interviews and documentation. While data analysis is done by means of transcription, classification, and drawing conclusions, The results of the study show that the implementation of policies related to waste management, abbreviated as Jakstrakab, as stated in Simeulue Regent Regulation Number 21 of 2019, shows that: (1) Jakstrakab communication through outreach has not reached many groups; (2) resources are still limited, especially related to human resources, budget, and waste management facilities such as abandoned fleets, warehouses, and equipment; (3) regarding the disposition, there is still overlapping work; and (4) the large bureaucratic structure causes officers to carry out their duties and functions not in accordance with the established Jakstrakab. The study concludes that bureaucracy, commitment, efficient communication, and resource allocation are necessary for Simeulue's waste management policy to be implemented. It is necessary to overcome obstacles including poor communication, a lack of resources, and bureaucratic disarray. Simeulue may enhance waste management practices toward sustainability by strengthening communication, managing resources better, and enlisting the support of policy implementers.

It began by looking at the current condition of green open space in Indonesia, highlighting the barriers faced in governing these areas, looking at opportunities to enhancing, and making recommendations to improve green open space governance. Literature review on governance frameworks that can maximize the potential of green open spaces in Indonesia. The results of this study show that there are several constraints in governing green open spaces, including less awareness and understanding among stakeholders, limited funding and resources, inadequate urban planning, limited community involvement, limited law enforcement and monitoring, urbanization and land scarcity, and weak coordination among government agencies in their management bodies. Our findings point to opportunities in governing greenspace areas, by learning from successful projects, exploring global good practices; innovative financing and partnerships; integrating greenspace into urban planning for cohesive neighborhoods; engaging communities for long-term success and shared responsibility; raising awareness of the value of greenspace through educational campaigns; and utilizing technology for data-driven decision-making and community participation. These opportunities contribute to policy recommendations that can be used by the central government and local governments to improve green open space governance in Indonesia.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine the associations between levels of population density and the transmission of COVID-19 in Indonesia. Descriptive analysis is employed to determine the data distribution of the response variable (dependent variable Y) as well as the independent variables X1 and X2. Therefore, inferential analysis is a quantitative technique that involves examining a sample in order to draw conclusions about a larger population. The present investigation has revealed a statistically significant positive connection (r = 0.954) between the incidence of COVID-19 patients and population density in Indonesia. The Model Summary provides the R value (Correlation Coefficient) of 0.959, indicating a strong positive correlation between the variables. Additionally, the multiple correlation coefficient r (Multiple R) is 0.920, which represents the determination index or the proportion of the influence of X on Y. Therefore, it can be asserted that 92% of COVID-19 cases are driven by population density and the number of individuals experiencing employment terminations, whilst the remaining 8% is affected by additional factors. The regression equation can be constructed from the Coefficients table in the following manner: The equation can be expressed as . The calculation of the Standard Error of the Estimate (SE) yields a value of 8151.076 or 8151. The standardized coefficient (Beta) of 1.381 represents the extent of association between the number of COVID-19 infection cases and population density.
