Abstract

This research reviews and synthesizes studies on brand perception, consumer behavior, and the influence of political and social factors on brand relationships, highlighting key themes such as brand resentment, boycott movements, and the role of social media. Brand resentment emerged as a significant driver of negative consumer actions towards brands perceived as not aligned with personal values, as illustrated by the Starbucks case in France, where political issues fueled consumer resentment. The boycott movement as a form of brand hatred, particularly against Israeli products, demonstrates how social media mobilizes consumer sentiment and shapes brand perception among certain demographics, such as Muslim consumers. The influence of social media influencers is also crucial, as their credibility and authenticity can significantly affect brand trust, especially in politically charged contexts. In addition, the phenomenon of consumer hostility reveals how personal and national sentiments influence cross-cultural purchasing behavior, thus complicating the consumer-brand relationship. Research on media responses to terrorism underscores the importance of ethnicity and affiliation in shaping public perceptions of brands. Overall, the findings emphasize the need for companies to strategically navigate these complex dynamics, develop strong ethical stances, and engage meaningfully with consumers on relevant issues to foster loyalty and mitigate potential backlash, ultimately enhancing corporate reputation in diverse markets.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of drawing therapy to changes in hallucination levels in clients with auditory hallucinations in the Gama Inpatient Ward, Jambi Province Regional Mental Hospital. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, documentation, and using instruments in the form of an AHRS questionnaire and an observation sheet for signs and symptoms of hallucinations. The results of this study found that there was a decrease in the score of signs and symptoms of hallucinations after the implementation of nursing care, namely drawing therapy, in patients in the Gama Inpatient Ward, Jambi Province Regional Mental Hospital.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of health promotion using audiovisuals on sex education for preschool children at Aisyiyah Kindergarten in Bukittinggi City. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a pre-test and post-test design without a control group, and applied a simple random sampling technique. Respondents were 10 Aisyiyah Kindergarten students in Bukittinggi City. Research data analysis used the Wilcoxon test. The results of this study prove that there is an increase in understanding of sex education for preschool children at Aisyiyah Kindergarten in Bukittinggi City by using audiovisuals.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational climate on employee loyalty at the Jambi City Transportation Agency. This study uses a quantitative approach and data processing in this study uses SPSS software. Involving 95 respondents selected through purposive sampling techniques from a total population of 124 employees. The results of the study with simple linear regression analysis showed that organizational climate has a significant effect on employee loyalty at the Jambi City Transportation Agency with a determination coefficient value of 54.3%, which means that variations in employee loyalty can be explained by organizational climate.

Abstract

This study aims to identify factors influencing household economic mobility towards the middle class, specifically examining the influence of education, employment status, employment sector, and their interactions, while considering other socio-demographic control variables. This study uses a quantitative approach with a household-based cross-sectional data analysis design. This study uses a binary logistic regression model. The data used comes from the March 2024 National Socioeconomic Survey (Susenas). The unit of analysis is the household, with the unit of observation being the head of the household. The results show that education, employment status, and the interaction between the two are the most significant main explanatory variables in driving household economic mobility towards the middle class in Jambi Province. The influence of control variables (age of the head of the household, place of residence, migration status) is also significant on the chances of households entering the middle class.

Abstract

Black orchid (Coelogyne pandurata Lindl.) is a typical Borneo plant that grows wild in the forest. Kersik Luway Nature Reserve, West Kutai, East Kalimantan, is one of the habitats of this plant. Frequent forest fires and the difficulty of breeding cause the scarcity of this plant. The solution is to do in vitro culture using black orchid leaf explants. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in black orchid growth through tissue culture on MS and VW media. The media used were MS, MS + 2,4-D, VW, and MS + VW media with 6 replicates, so there were a total of 24 samples. This type of research is an experiment conducted in the laboratory. Data from observations for 10 weeks were analyzed using the chi-square test. The results of observations for 10 weeks showed that there was no callus growth. Based on the chi-square test calculation, the value of the significant level < chi count (0.05 < 0.92), there is no significant difference in the growth of black orchids through tissue culture on all media. MS and MS + VW media had the most shrinkage (6 explants). MS + 2,4-D media had the most yellowing (2 explants). MS and MS + 2,4-D media experienced the most root growth (2 explants). Overall the best media is MS media.

Abstract

Choledochal cysts  (CC) adalah dilatasi langka dari struktur empedu yang dapat muncul sebagai anomali tunggal atau ganda, mempengaruhi saluran empedu intrahepatik atau ekstrahepatik. Kista bawaan ini diklasifikasikan ke dalam berbagai jenis berdasarkan lokasinya, termasuk tipe I, II, III, dan IVa, dengan tipe V mempengaruhi segmen intrahepatik. Secara tradisional, eksisi terbuka telah menjadi pengobatan standar; namun, eksisi laparoskopi telah diterima secara global sejak diperkenalkan. Penelitian menggambarkan kasus yang melibatkan seorang wanita berusia 42 tahun yang mengalami nyeri kuadran perut kanan atas dan penyakit kuning intermiten, dengan MRI sebelumnya mengungkapkan kista koledokal tipe 1A yang mempengaruhi pertemuan saluran hati ke saluran empedu umum. Pasien menjalani eksisi laparoskopi lengkap dari kista koledokal, diikuti oleh hepaticojejunostomi Roux-en-Y untuk rekonstruksi bilio-pencernaan. Meskipun kebocoran empedu pasca operasi diamati di saluran pembuangan, itu sembuh pada hari pasca operasi (POD) 5, dan pasien dipulangkan dengan POD 7 tanpa efek samping. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa operasi laparoskopi untuk Choledochal cysts adalah pilihan yang aman dan efektif, terkait dengan rawat inap yang lebih singkat, komplikasi pasca operasi yang lebih sedikit, dan penurunan kehilangan darah dibandingkan dengan operasi terbuka. Dengan kemajuan berkelanjutan dalam keterampilan dan teknik laparoskopi, eksisi laparoskopi akan menjadi metode yang lebih disukai untuk mengobati kista koleskopi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of dhikr therapy in controlling auditory hallucinations in mental health patients at the Jambi Provincial Mental Hospital. This study used a quasi-experimental research type with a One Group pre-test and post-test design with dhikr therapy intervention. A sample of 10 respondents used a purposive sampling technique method in patients with auditory hallucinations at the Jambi Provincial Mental Hospital. The statistical test used was a paired t-test. The results of the study showed that there was an effect of dhikr therapy in controlling auditory hallucinations at the Jambi Provincial Mental Hospital.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the thought stopping method in reducing anxiety levels due to physical illness in the Wayasel Hamlet, the Working Area of Puskesmas Negeri Lima. This study used a quantitative pre-experimental test using a one-group pre-test-post-test design, the sample in this study amounted to 35 respondents with a sampling technique using purposive sampling with inclusion and exclusion criteria. The research instrument used the HARS questionnaire. Data processing used the Wilcoxon test. The results of this study revealed that there was an effect of the thought stopping method in reducing anxiety levels due to physical illness in the elderly in the Wayasel Hamlet, the Working Area of Puskesmas Negeri Lima

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the tourism policy development strategy in Rejang Lebong Regency by identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, namely SWOT analysis so that it can produce a tourism policy development strategy using 4 components of tourism development, namely attraction, amenities, accessibility, and ancillary service. The method used is a literature review from various sources related to the tourism policy development strategy in previous studies, government reports and the mass media. The results of this study found that the tourism policy strategy in Rejang Lebong Regency is still not optimal. This is evidenced by the many tourist attractions that are not equipped with supporting facilities and infrastructure, such as toilets, parking lots, and other public facilities.
