PENGARUH TERAPI MUSIK TERHADAP PERKEMBANGAN KOMUNIKASI ANAK AUTIS DI KIDDY AUTISM CENTRE KOTA JAMBI TAHUN 2011 Susi Widiawati

Based on data center Kiddy autism therapy Autism Centre in 2008-2010, it is known that the number of children who have autistic children has increased from 43 in 2008 to 51 children in 2009, in 2010 as many as 56 children and from January to July 2011, 47 children . While the results of observations conducted on 12 children with autism aged 3-5 years, it is known that the second child has a communication disorder the child has a mild and 10 moderate communication disorders.The object of the research is the autistic child is in school autism Autism Center Kiddy many as 10 children aged 3-5 years.The study design used is a pre-experimental design with pre-test and post-test one group design. The statistical test used is dependent T test. Sampling in this study by means of purposive samplingFrom the results, the communication development of children with autism before music therapy with a mean of 3.00, median 3.00 standard deviation of 0.00 and minimum and maximum values from 3.00 to 3.00, while the development of children's communication after the music therapy mean 2.70, median 3.00, standard deviation of 0.48 and minimum and maximum values from 2.00 to 3.00. Known of the effect of music therapy on the development of communication in children with autism Autism Center Kiddy City of Edinburgh, with a p-value = 0.001 (p <0.005)Kiddy Autism Center should maximize the application of music therapy on children with autism to overcome communication developmental disorders experienced by children. Then do approach the parents of children with autism in order to implement music therapy at home.Keywords: music therapy, the development of communication.

PENGARUH KONSERVATISME LAPORAN KEUANGAN TERHADAP KOEFISIEN RESPON LABA Arna Suryani

This research examines earnings response coefficient (ERC) of companies applying conservatism and more optimistic accounting. Conservatism accounting practices are expected to affect companies’ ERC indirectly. Conservative accounting would influence earnings prediction power (Panman and Zhang, 2002). Then, earnings prediction power would influence ERC (Lipe, 1990).The population consists of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia stock exchange during period of 2005-2010. Sample members of 91 companies are selected using purposive sampling method. Conservative accounting is proxied by earnings/stock return relation measure, earnings/accrual measure, and net asset measures (Watts, 2003).The result shows that companies which apply conservative accounting have weaker earnings prediction power than those which do not. Companies with conservative accounting would have fluctuated earnings and low prediction power of earnings.ERC of companies with conservative accounting are lower than those with more optimistic accounting. Applying conservative accounting would result in fluctuated earnings and lower earnings predictability which is less beneficial in predicting future earnings, thus ERC would be low.Keywords: conservative accounting, earnings prediction power, earning response coefficient

One type of flexible pavements that have a high structural value is asphalt concrete. Asphalt concrete is widely used in Indonesia’s roads with a high service level. Asphalt concrete is composed of aggregates of several factions that have a certain gradation using asphalt binder.This study uses asphalt concrete (AC) with a variation of Retona Blend 55 levels of 0%, 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, 2%. Asphalt concrete mix then compacted at a temperature of 1600C. The test specimen then immersed in waterbath at a temperature of 600C with a immersion time of 0.5 hours and 24 hours. Then testing Marshall characteristics.Addition levels of Retona Blend 55 generates the value of of stability and higher density values. Instead VITM (void in the mix) value, flow rate, and the value of VFWA (Void Filled With Asphalt) lower.Keywords: Beton Aspal, Retona Blend 55; karakteristik Marshall

This study aims to describe the student's Metacognition type melancholis in solving math problems. The research results expected useful to optimize the learning activity based on activity of Metacognition in students learning math in the melancholis type, consideration for teachers or schools in drawing up a learning model that fits the research is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection is done by way of an interview based on the troubleshooting task sheet. The subject in this study are students who have a personality melancholis on odd semester academic year 2015/2016.The process of critical thinking can be traced in any troubleshooting steps according to Polya and noted the characteristics of the process of critical thinking which includes stage (1) identification of issues and relevant information, (2) explore the interpretation and connections, (3) alternative to prioritize and communicate conclusions, and (4) integrate, monitor, and filter strategy for handling the reset issue.The results showed that students had indeed melancholis metacognition. Melancholis students can solve given by critical. And the process of critical thinking on solving the problems seen in: phase (1) and (2) the process of Metacognition occurs in step understanding the problem, devise a plan, implement troubleshooting troubleshooting plan and rechecking the results of problem solving. Stage (3) the process of Metacognition occurs in step understanding the problem, devise a plan and carry out troubleshooting troubleshooting plan. (4) the stages of the process of Metacognition occurs in step implement the plan troubleshooting and rechecking the results of problem solving. Based on the results of such studies then the teacher should know the personality and mindset of his protégé participant so that teaching and learning process occurs optimally.Keyword : Metakognisi, Melancholis, and Problem Solving

Coaching program for elderly inmates in Prison Class IIA Jambi conducted under the provisions of Penal Law, but the implementation is tailored to the age, ability and needs of the elderly concerned. However, because of the circumstances they are in general already senile, frail, deaf and suffering from acute disease, then the coaching program that has been programmed by the prison to them, can not be effectively implemented so that the purpose of punishment can not be done. It is necessary for the conception of sentencing policy should be applied to elderly criminals are adopting the provisions of the Penal Code governing the criminal reduction and alternative sentencing and punishment provisions of the Criminal Code Bill to the elderly so as to obtain a conviction against setting elderly criminals are able to meet the statutory objectives and sentencing goals effectively.Keyword : Coaching, offenders, Correctional Institutions

This study aims to evaluate the factors that affect the Quality of Work Life at Port PT Indonesia II (persero), and this research is quantitative research is an investigation about the social issues based on testing a theory consists of a variable-variables, measured by numbers, and analyzed with the statistics procedures to determine whether predictive generalizations of these theories is correct. the data used in this research is qualitative data by spreading the questionnaire covered alternative answer had been provided to the respondent, hereinafter the qualitative data in the quantitative method using Likert Summated Rating with a given score. After the data is collected then analyzed using factor analysis. From all this research analysis to see that there are six variables that influence positively and significantly to Quality of Work Life and the rest have not been significant then it can be said that the influence factors towards the Quality of Work Life at Port PT Indonesia II (Persero)Keywords : Quality of Work Life

In the current era of globalization, requires improving the quality of human resources, in particular for government officials in providing services to the public. Many attempts were made by the government and the community to improve the situation. But the performance of the civil service is still cause for concern. Well as civil servants, motivation and discipline are the factors that important role in achieving business goals of an organization. This study aims to determine partially the effect of motivation and discipline on the performance and simultaneously the influence of motivation and discipline on the performance of the Directorate General of Land Transportation Ministry of Transportation. The independent variables are motivation and discipline, the dependent variable is the performance. The research method uses quantitative research. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire based on Likert scale. The sampling method is done randomly. This study population of 60 people and all of the population being sampled (saturated sample). The analytical method used is multiple linear regression. Based on the analysis it can be concluded there is a significant and positive impact partially between motivation on the performance, and there is a positive and significant effect partially between discipline on performance. F Test results support the hypothesis that motivation and discipline simultaneous effect on the performance by 72.3 percent. Other factors that can affect the performance that not yet be studied in this research , recommended for further research.Keywords: motivation, discipline, employees’ performance

Learning with the contextual approach (Contextual Teaching and Learning, CTL) is an approach to learning that begins with taking, simulate, tells the story, dialogue, ask and answer or discussion on Genesis of the real world of everyday life experienced by students, then lifted into the concept that will be studied and discussed. Throughthis approach, allowing the occurrence process of learning in which the student's academic abilities and understanding of mengeksplorasikan in a variety of contexts, inside or outside the classroom, to be able to resolve the problems facing either independently or in a group. Contextual learning means making a connection to find meaning, do the work, encourage students to always on, set the self-study, working together in groups, emphasizes creative thinking and critical management, on an individual basis, reaching high standards and using authentic assessment. Student involvement in the learning process of this among others is; a) perform observation, b) do exploration, c) do inkuiri, d) make hypotheses, conjectures, making e) f) make generalizations, and g) apply. Contextual learning can create meaningfulness learning experience and improve academic performance of students. Contextual learning practically also promised an increase in interest, interest in learning of students from different backgrounds as well as increasing participation by encouraging students to actively in providing the opportunity to them to connect and apply the knowledge they have gained.Key words: konstekstual, real world Approach, student involvement

This research is about the influence of Lecturer Performance toward Student’s Learning Interest. The aim of this research is to find out about is it true that lecture performance influence students learning interest. In order to find it out, the highlight of this research is lecturer performance which includes phisically lecturer performance, lecturer knowledge about the subject which he or she going to explain, lecturer behaviour on the way he or she teaching, intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation.This research is using questionnaire to measure student interest and also observation form to find out lecturer performance, in order to collect the data. The data collection is taken at the Faculty of Economics, Management Department of Batanghari University at the even semester, year 2014/2015, student year of 2009 through 2014 which is still active academically, and also guest lecturers, senior lecturer, junior lecturer who give lecture at Batanghari University, specially at the Faculty of Economics, Management Department. This research is using multiple linier regression methods. This research show that the lecturer performance do not influence students interest but the influence factor are intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivationKey Word: lecturer performance, intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation
