Abstract

Judges in deciding cases outside the indictment of the public prosecutor must be based on justice. The formulation of the problems in this study are 1) How is the judge's decision in deciding cases outside the indictment of the public prosecutor? 2) What is the philosophical, sociological and juridical basis for categorizing criminal verdicts outside the indictment of the public prosecutor as a legal formation? The research method used is normative juridical research. The data sources used in this research consist of secondary data. Based on the research results, it shows that 1) The judge's decision in deciding cases outside the indictment of the public prosecutor in the practice of its application, the judge has a basic reason for legal considerations that lead to a sense of legal justice for the community. Criminal decisions outside the indictment of the public prosecutor according to applicable progressive law have a strong legal position based on the principle or principle of freedom of judges to examine and decide cases. and 2) The philosophical, sociological and juridical foundations categorize criminal decisions outside the indictment of the public prosecutor as a legal formation, namely the judge in examining and deciding cases is obliged to apply legal provisions, so that they have a basis for deciding criminal cases outside the indictment of the Public Prosecutor as a legal formation.

Abstract

The title of this research is "The Influence of Organizational Culture on the Performance of the Panitia Pemilihan Kecamatan (PPK) of the 2024 Elections in Batang Hari District." This study aims to determine the influence of organizational culture on the performance of the Panitia Pemilihan Kecamatan (PPK) of the 2024 Elections in Batang Hari District. To achieve this research objective, simple linear regression analysis is used as the analytical tool. This is done because this research only applies one independent variable, namely organizational culture. Additionally, t-test and coefficient of determination are also utilized in this study. In the t-test analysis, the organizational culture variable influences the performance of the Panitia Pemilihan Kecamatan (PPK) of the 2024 Elections in Batang Hari District individually (partially). In the Coefficient of Determination test, organizational culture influences the performance of the District Election Committee (PPK) of the 2024 Elections in Batang Hari District by 76.96%. Meanwhile, 23.1% of the influence on the performance of the Panitia Pemilihan Kecamatan (PPK) of the 2024 Elections in Batang Hari District is affected by other variables not examined in this study

Abstract

The cassava-based industry is an industry that processes cassava into various processed products. Development of cassava-based industry in Jember Regency can be carried out through a cluster approach. The cluster approach is a geographic concentration of interrelated and collaborating companies, involving suppliers of goods, service providers, core industries, related industries, and institutions. This research aims to determine the potential core industry of cassava-based industrial cluster development in Jember Regency. Analysis of the core industry of cassava-based industrial cluster development in Jember Regency was carried out using the AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) method. The research stages start from analysis, hierarchical structure, and AHP method to obtain core industry priorities. The research results show that the type of cassava-based industry that has the highest alternative weight is the tape industry with a weight of 0.415. The tape industry is the core industry with the most potential because in terms of 6 criteria, namely: the number of industries, market reach, production capacity, raw material potential, government policy, and access to investor funding, the tape industry has the highest weight. Based on this, the tape industry was chosen to be the core industry of cassava-based industrial cluster development in Jember Regency.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of household income, education level of the head of the  household and number of family members on consumption patterns in OKU Regency. This research uses qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis methods. The results of the analysis show that simultaneously household income, education of the head of the household and number of family members have a significant effect on the non-food consumption patterns of the community in OKU Regency. However, partially, household income and education of the head of the household have a significant effect on the non-food consumption patterns of the community in OKU Regency

Abstract

Imam Syuhodo Micro Waqf Bank (BMW) is a sharia microfinance institution which aims to empower the community around the Imam Syuhodo Islamic Boarding School. The potential for growth and development of BWM Imam Syuhodo in Sukoharjo is expected to have great benefits for the Islamic-based economy. The policy regarding BWM as a sharia-based LKMS is intended so that BWM will become a pillar of strength in the sharia financial industry. The potential of the Imam Syuhodo Micro Waqf Bank certainly cannot be separated from the management system and Islamic good corporate governance (ICGC) implemented by the management at the BWM institution. The quality of the BWM institution depends on the implementation of a good business management system and an appropriate ICGC system. This research approach uses qualitative research. The aim of this research is to learn how to evaluate management, implement ICGC, and determine its effect on community empowerment. The results of the research reveal that the implementation of Islamic corporate governance at the Islamic microfinance institution Bank Waqf Mikro (LKMS BWM) Imam Syuhodo, when viewed using six indicators of Islamic corporate governance, has not been implemented in its entirety, where the indicators of trustworthiness, tabligh and fairness have been implemented well and to Siddiq, fathonah and sharia compliance indicators have not been implemented comprehensively and still need to be improved in their implementation

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the influence of transformational leadership style and organizational culture on motivation and its impact on employee performance at the Regional Personnel & Human Resources Development Agency of East Tanjung Jabung Regency using a sample of 78 respondents. The results of this research found that transformational leadership style and organizational culture have a significant effect on motivation. Transformational leadership style and work organizational culture together have a positive and significant effect on performance. Motivation has a positive and significant effect on performance at the Regional Personnel & Human Resources Development Agency of East Tanjung Jabung Regency

Abstract

Small-scale Gold Mining (ASGM) in Limun Sub-district has caused a decline in the quality of Batang Limun River in the form of increasing mercury levels from 0.18 ppb to 0.30 ppb in 2015, which can have an impact on public health in the mining area. A risk perception assessment needs to be conducted to formulate effective risk communication. The Health Belief Model method was used to assess ASGM workers' risk perception of mercury contamination. This study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the risk perception of mercury contamination among ASGM workers in Limun District. The research was conducted from May to July 2023 in four villages of Kecamatan Limun consisting of Pulau Pandan, Muara Limun, Temenggung and Moenti Villages with a phenomenological design. The research informants consisted of 15 people who were determined by purposive sampling technique. In-depth interview guidelines were used to determine miners' risk perceptions. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Hubberman method through three stages, namely reduction, presentation and conclusion drawing, triangulation of sources and methods was also carried out to test the validity of the data. The results showed that miners considered mercury contamination to have no impact on their health. Based on the seriousness of the impact factor, they consider that there has never been a serious illness due to the use of mercury in the mining process. Based on the barriers and obstacles factor, the benefits of mercury heavy metal use prevention behavior are also not the focus of miners. Based on the cues to action factor, they believe that the way of using and managing heavy metal mercury as taught to people around miners is correct, safe and will not have a serious impact on health. The perception of gold miners in Limun Sub-district towards mercury contamination shows a negative perception. There is a need for socialization, promotion and regular monitoring of the impact of mercury use on ASGM workers.

Abstract

Cyberbullying or online bullying has become an alarming global phenomenon, especially in the current digital era. This study discusses and compares the policies and approaches implemented by Indonesia and South Korea in handling cyberbullying cases. The comparative descriptive approach used in this research collects data from various secondary sources, including scientific literature, research reports, and legal and policy documents. Policies for handling cyberbullying are regulated through the Information and Electronic Transactions Law as well as several additional regulations, although they still face challenges in effective and consistent implementation. Meanwhile, South Korea relies on several key legal products and an inclusive approach, although its regulatory implementation also faces challenges. Both countries have their own complexities in dealing with cyberbullying, which are influenced by social, cultural and technological factors. The results of this research emphasize the importance of inter-agency coordination, improvements in legal definitions, and increased public awareness as keys to increasing victim protection and reducing future cyberbullying incidents.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the level of customer satisfaction with outpatient services at Hospital X and identify areas that require improvement. The results of data processing show that the customer satisfaction index (CSI) value obtained is 76.435%, which is included in the "Satisfied" category. However, there are still a number of patients who are dissatisfied with the services they receive, so efforts are needed to improve the quality of outpatient services. Meanwhile, the results of further analysis using the importance performance analysis (IPA) method reveal attributes that require special attention. The attributes are in Quadrant I of the Cartesian IPA diagram, which shows improvement priorities. Recommendations for improvement include adding facilities such as drinking water stations, children's play areas, and spare chairs for patients queuing. Apart from that, it is necessary to design standard operating procedures (SOP) that are in accordance with doctors' schedules to avoid schedule conflicts, as well as regular training regarding service excellence for medical personnel and hospital staff. The implementation of these recommendations is expected to increase patient satisfaction with outpatient services at Hospital X.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the assessment of the level of financial performance at PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, using the Du Pont System analysis method for the 2017–2021 period, to analyze the assessment of the level of financial performance at PT Indosat Tbk, using the Du Pont System analysis method for the 2017 period –2021, and to analyze the assessment of the level of financial performance at PT XL Axiata Tbk, using the Du Pont System analysis method for the 2017–2021 period. The type of data used in this research is quantitative data. The research results show that the financial performance of telecommunications companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange as measured by Du Pont System analysis during the research period was still in poor condition. This was caused by sales and profits after tax decreasing. Likewise, total assets turnover decreased, this was caused by a decrease in sales value and total asset value. Return on investment belonging to telecommunications companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2017-2021 period experienced a decline. This was caused by a decrease in the value of net profit margin and total assets turnover in that period.
