Employees felt they were contributing to the company's sustainability goals and values. The program offered opportunities for skill development in species identification and documentation, and recognition for contributions, which motivated further participation. It also reduced silos between departments and encouraged collaboration towards a shared conservation objective. Abstract

In the ever-evolving digital era, regional languages in Indonesia are facing the threat of extinction due to modernization and globalization. This study aims to explore the role of digital journalism supported by artificial intelligence (AI), natural language processing (NLP), and blockchain technology in preserving Nusantara languages. The method used is descriptive analytical by reviewing literature from indexed scientific journals, UNESCO reports, and case studies related to language preservation and digital technology. The results of the study show that digital journalism plays an important role in documenting and disseminating regional languages through interactive formats such as videos, podcasts, and multimedia articles, which are more attractive to the younger generation. NLP technology helps analyze, translate, and build linguistic models of regional languages, facilitating the processing and distribution of multilingual content. In addition, the development of regional language-based chatbots opens up opportunities for fun interactive learning. On the other hand, blockchain ensures the authenticity and copyright protection of language content by permanently and encryptedly recording each documentation, and enables cultural tokenization to encourage active participation of local communities. This study confirms that the integration of digital journalism, NLP, and blockchain not only strengthens efforts to preserve regional languages, but also builds an ethical, transparent, and sustainable digital ecosystem. Collaboration between journalists, local communities, and technology developers is the key to success in ensuring that Nusantara languages remain alive and relevant in the modern era.

This study aims to identify new competencies needed by journalists in facing AI disruption, analyse changes in the role of journalists due to the use of AI in the newsroom, and examine the forms of ethical and critical competencies needed in AI-based journalistic practices. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method on seven Scopus-indexed journal articles published between 2020 and 2025. The analysis results show that today's journalists must have technical competence in algorithms, critical skills in identifying bias and the social impact of AI, and ethical capacity that includes the principles of transparency, accountability, and justice. The role of journalists is no longer just as news producers, but as technology supervisors and guardians of public ethics in the era of content automation. Abstract

The revision of the Broadcasting Law 2024, particularly Article 50B paragraph 2  (c) which prohibits the "exclusive investigative journalism," has sparked controversy among media and democracy stakeholders in Indonesia. This study aims to (1) analyze stakeholders' perspectives on this provision, (2) examine the differences and similarities in perspectives in the context of democratic resilience, and (3) synthesize the underlying issues to provide recommendations for strengthening democracy. Grounded in  democracy theories, this research adopts a qualitative approach using document studies from national media sources and official documents between May and November 2024. The data is analyzed using assumption analysis to identify stakeholder perspectives. The findings reveal a polarization between policymakers, who emphasize restrictions as a protective tool, and the press, which perceives them as a threat to freedom. However, a consensus emerges on the need for clearer media regulation and the protection of public interests. From a democratic resilience perspective, the macro-institutional level is identified as the weakest due to regulatory ambiguity and overlapping institutional authority, which may undermine democratic oversight and impede media control functions. The study concludes that Article 50B paragraph 2 (c) of the Broadcasting Act has the potential to threaten democratic sustainability. It therefore recommends a reassessment of the law and the article, as well as strengthening institutional coordination to harmonize regulations.
