Abstract

The history of Sesait Village, which used to be 90% of the Kayangan sub-district area. The tradition in Sesait Village is the rules for nurak like "aji makem" in the belek grave. This tradition uses plants as the main ingredients in this tradition. The plants used are betel leaves, bitter melon (pare bulu/pare rau), beleleng, elas. The food, dye and medicinal plants in Sesait Village are very diverse. Food, dye and medicinal plants have various benefits, not only as food, dye and medicinal plants. Efforts to conserve food, dye and medicinal plants are carried out by the people of Sesait Village by planting these plants in their own yards

Abstract

The rapid development of residential areas in Mataram City has led to significant changes in land use, potentially increasing surface runoff and causing issues such as surface ponding and localized flooding. One feasible solution to mitigate these impacts is the construction of infiltration wells as a form of sustainable and environmentally friendly drainage infrastructure. This study aims to provide technical guidance to the community in one of the densely populated sub-districts of Mataram City for determining the appropriate dimensions of rainwater infiltration wells based on field data. The design rainfall was estimated through frequency analysis using a normal distribution. Rainfall intensity was calculated using the Mononobe method, and runoff discharge was analyzed using the Rational method. Infiltration wells were then designed using the Sunjoto method and applied to residential units in the Mandalika Subdistrict, with variations in building area and land area (LB/LT) ranging from 24/60 to 60/70 square meters. Based on soil testing, the study area has an average soil permeability coefficient of 3.16 cm/hour and an average groundwater table depth of 2.45 meters. The results of the analysis for various house types from small to large, if the well is circular Ø 1.0 meters, then each house needs 1 well with a depth of between 1.14 meters to 1.97 meters, while for a well Ø 0.8 meters, it requires 1 well with a depth (H) between 1.76m to 3.03m. Especially for houses with a roof area of more than 60m2, a well with Ø 0.8 meters requires a depth exceeding the local groundwater level so it is recommended to make 2 or can also use Ø 1.0 meters. The dimensions of the well have been in accordance with the capacity requirements based on rainfall and the position of the local groundwater level.

Abstract

Lobster aquaculture has emerged as a strategic global sector, yet faces critical challenges in sustainable and cost-effective feed formulation. This review synthesizes findings from 15 studies (2004–2025) to analyze species-specific nutritional requirements, binder efficacy, and innovation opportunities. Lobsters require high protein (>45%) for growth (especially larvae/juveniles), with limited lipids (<10%) and moderate carbohydrates (20–35%). Nutritional imbalances reduce feed efficiency and may trigger physiological disorders. Binders like carrageenan (2–4%) and sodium alginate (3%) optimize feed stability (>4 hours) and growth performance (Panulirus argus, Homarus gammarus), while natural binders (e.g., 5% cornmeal) show inferior results. Key challenges include species-specific dietary adaptations (P. cygnus thrives on natural diets), environmental impacts of nitrogen waste, and underutilized local ingredients (e.g., shrimp waste meal). The study highlights the potential of multifunctional binders, RAS/IMTA systems, and fishery byproduct-based feeds. A holistic approach integrating precision nutrition, innovative feed technologies, and sustainable farming practices is recommended to enhance productivity and environmental sustainability. Future research should prioritize binder-microbiome interactions, standardized protocols for commercial species, and circular economy models to support Indonesia’s competitive position in global lobster markets.

Abstract

Anxiety disorders are psychological conditions characterized by excessive and pathological anxiety or worry, and they remain a significant mental health concern in both developed and developing countries. Managing these disorders requires effective therapeutic interventions, both psychological and pharmacological. This article reviews various therapeutic approaches used in the treatment of anxiety disorders, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), supportive therapies, and pharmacological treatments. The review focuses on the effectiveness, mechanisms of action, and factors influencing the success of each therapy. Findings indicate that CBT consistently demonstrates high effectiveness in reducing symptoms across different types of anxiety disorders. Appropriate and comprehensive therapy selection based on individual conditions is essential to improve clinical outcomes and patient prognosis.

Abstract

Sea turtles are one of the key biota in coastal and marine ecosystems whose existence is not only ecologically important, but also holds social, cultural, and economic value. Indonesia, as the largest archipelagic country in the world, is home to six of the world’s seven sea turtle species, making it a globally significant habitat for the sea turtle life cycle. The Gili Matra Marine Protected Area, encompassing the three islands of Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno, and Gili Air, is one of the strategic regions with high potential for sea turtle conservation. This study aims to document and analyze the spatial distribution and habitat use of green turtles (Chelonia mydas) and hawksbill turtles (Eretmochelys imbricata) in the Gili Matra Marine Protected Area. Data collection was carried out during the period of September to October 2024, adjusted to weather conditions and water visibility. The method used was the Underwater Turtle Visual Census Methodology. The composition of sea turtle species and habitat characteristics were analyzed using descriptive analysis to summarize the patterns of species presence, habitat types, and environmental conditions observed during the survey. The findings indicate that the area supports both species, with sea turtles observed at various depths (9–16 meters) across multiple dive sites. The predominance of female individuals and the variation in species presence across sites suggest species specific habitat preferences and potential influences of environmental conditions. Both sea turtle was mostly observed in locations associated with coral reef structures.

Abstract

The study entitled Characteristics of Food Tree Habitat and Langur Population in Jeruk Manis Tourism, Kembang Kuning Resort, TNGR aims to understand the role of habitat in the survival of the Javan langur (Trachypithecus auratus), an endangered primate species. The Javan langur functions as a natural seed disperser in the forest, and its presence is very important for the plant regeneration process. This study was conducted in November-December 2024 in Kembang Kuning Village, East Lombok, using the population census method and vegetation analysis. The research method includes collecting data on the langur population through the concentration method and vegetation analysis by creating sample plots measuring 20 x 20 m. The results showed that the langur population varied in various plots, with a higher proportion of adult individuals in some locations, indicating group stability. The data also showed that the bajur tree (Pterocarpus indicus) was the main food source with a high Importance Value Index (INP) value. This study provides insight into the composition and structure of vegetation in the langur habitat, as well as the importance of conserving this species in the face of threats from hunting and habitat loss. By understanding the characteristics of the habitat and distribution patterns of the langur population.

Abstract

Octopus is one of the fisheries products that has high economic value and stable demand, especially from the export market. This study aims to analyze the marketing strategy of octopus in Sekotong District, West Lombok Regency, using a descriptive approach through SWOT analysis and EFAS and IFAS matrices. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and distributing questionnaires to 30 respondents consisting of fishermen and collectors. The results of the study indicate that the marketing strategy of octopus still faces a number of challenges, such as the weak bargaining position of fishermen, limited post-harvest handling facilities, minimal access to promotion, and high dependence on middlemen. The SO (Strength-Opportunity) strategy is the most recommended strategy, especially by encouraging digital promotion and the formation of fishermen's institutions to expand market access.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the condition of coral reefs based on benthic composition in the shallow waters of Tanjung, Senggigi Beach, West Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. Data collection was carried out through diving using the Underwater Photo Transect (UPT) method by analyzing 50 quadrat photos taken along a 50-meter transect line, processed with the CPCe software. The analysis revealed that live coral (Coral) was the most dominant benthic component, with an average cover of 91.38% ± 13.72%, which falls under the "very good" category. Macroalgae and abiotic components such as sand and coral rubble were present but in very small proportions. The coral community was dominated by complex growth forms such as Acropora tabular, Acropora branching, Coral foliose, and Coral massive, which are known for their relatively fast growth and adaptability to clear water with stable substrates. These findings indicate that the reef ecosystem in the waters of Tanjung Senggigi is in very good condition and provide a scientific foundation for developing effective management and conservation strategies for the area.
