Abstract

One among many indicators of successful second language acquisition (SLA) is the ability to speak in the target language since learner’s ability in producing a speech implies that they have a good communicative competence. This study was a kind of correlational research designed which focused on knowing the correlation between students’ self-esteem as independent variable and speaking ability as dependent variable which used quantitative method. Based on the degree of correlation coefficient, value 0,763 of the correlation coefficient showed that there was a strong or highly significant positive correlation between students’ self-esteem and students’ speaking skill. From the result, it can be said that self-esteem influenced or related with speaking skill. Theoretically, self-esteem take a role to manage, maintain, and develop students by the challenges of learning goals. Besides, this proof also expects special attention to aspects of psychology that can be started by the teacher itself. So, the results of learning will also be more maximal and can be designed the right learning method.

Abstract

Abstract Educational institutions are the birthplace of the nation's intellectual generations, in maintaining educational institutions, of course, meeting the needs and expectations of the community towards education must be considered, thus the implementation of community involvement or school committees is needed. Where the purpose of this study is to find out how the implementation of community involvement or committees can be implemented in reality. The research method in this study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The results of the findings obtained by researchers on community involvement or school committees have been well implemented in MA Negeri 2 Bandung City by involving the committee in three ways, including in program planning by holding a meeting every year and inviting the committee to attend. Second, the involvement of the committee in the implementation of the program, this involvement can be in the form of attending the activities directly or providing support in the form of facilities, finance or thoughts. Third, involvement in program control or evaluation by providing direction, input, or evaluating funds that have been used in program implementation.

Abstract

The problem raised in this research is how to implement the Iqro’ Method carried out at Junior High School TMI Al-Amien Prenduan improving the ability to read the holy qur’an in an effort to overcome female students who are not fluent in reading the Al-Qur’an according to the correct rules. Which is described in two focuses,namely : 1. How to implement the iqro’ method in improving the holy qur’an reading skills of tmi Al-Amien Prenduan in 2022-2023.2. Abstract

Facilities and infrastructure are crucial components in enhancing the quality of education. This study aims to provide an overview of the implementation of facilities and infrastructure management, particularly in improving the quality of education. The data collection procedures were conducted through observation, interviews, and documentary studies with sources including the Head of Facilities and Infrastructure, the Head of Curriculum, teachers, students, and other stakeholders. Meanwhile, data analysis was carried out using a qualitative approach. The research findings indicate that the implementation of facilities and infrastructure management at MTs Negeri 1 Kota Bandung encompasses several discussions: (1) Planning of facilities and infrastructure, including needs analysis and projection of required facilities and infrastructure. (2) Organization of facilities and infrastructure, including inventorying and arrangement. (3) Implementation of facilities and infrastructure, including utilization and maintenance. (4) Monitoring of facilities and infrastructure, including performance monitoring and assessment. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the implementation of facilities and infrastructure management in improving the quality of education, based on the Accreditation Instrument for Educational Units (IASP) for the year 2020 at MTs Negeri 1 Kota Bandung, achieved a level 4 with the highest performance achievement. Considering the accreditation results regarding facilities and infrastructure standards, MTs Negeri 1 Kota Bandung obtained a score of 94, indicating excellent management of facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to explore the management strategies employed to enhance the quality of financing for facilities and infrastructure as part of efforts to improve the implementation of education at MTS Nurul Amin. This study adopts a qualitative approach, as the research is conducted directly in the field, with data being collected through various methods such as interviews, observations, and documentation. The primary findings of the research indicate that the policies related to the development of facilities and infrastructure are continuously evolving and showing significant progress, largely due to the effective performance of both the school principal and the teachers. Their collaborative efforts have played a key role in driving improvements, thereby establishing a solid strategy for enhancing the overall educational services at MTS Nurul Amin. These improvements not only reflect better resource management but also contribute to more effective teaching and learning processes, ensuring that the institution remains competitive and capable of delivering quality education.

Abstract

Khalayak is commonly referred to as the recipient, the target, the reader, the listener, the viewer, the audience, the decoder, or the communicator. Khalayak is one of the elements of the communication process. Therefore, the audience should not be ignored because it does not succeed in a communication process highly determined by the audience. (Cangara, 2010: 157). For a communicator, communication can be said to be successful when a message delivered through a channel or medium can be received, understood, and interpreted positively by the target audience, in the sense that it corresponds to the expectations of the communicator. (Sendjaja, 2005: 24). According to the common sense of communication, the person to whom a message is transmitted is called the recipient, the audience, or the communicator. Nevertheless, the public is only a temporary role. At the turn of sending the message, the recipient will start sending a next message and at that point the audience has changed the role of the communicator. The same concept applies to political communication. The side that was once known as the communicator or channel, at other times can also be identified as the Khalayak is one of the elements of the communication process. Therefore, the audience should not be ignored because it does not succeed in a communication process highly determined by the audience.

Abstract

This research aims to examine and analyze Communication Transformation in the Digital Era conducted by RRI PADANG. The study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection is carried out through interviews, structured observation, documentation, and literature review. The results of this research indicate that RRI PADANG has undergone transformation in delivering and receiving information. One form of transformation undertaken is the introduction of the RRI Digital Application, where this application can be accessed for free by the public in real-time. Within the application, features are provided for the public to enjoy such as listening to radio, reading news, listening to music, and podcasts. Additionally, users can also write articles related to current news which can be viewed by the public.

Abstract

Automated detection of plant diseases, particularly in crops like potatoes, is essential for maintaining agricultural productivity. The use of convolutional neural networks (CNNs), especially employing architectures like DenseNet, offers promising avenues for accurate disease classification. Your study's exploration of three different optimizers – Adam, SGD, and RMSprop – provides insights into their effectiveness in training CNN models for potato disease classification. The Adam optimizer stands out with its exceptionally high average accuracy of 97%, alongside impressive precision, recall, and F1-score metrics, all reaching 98%. This indicates its robustness in optimizing models for superior results. On the other hand, the SGD optimizer, although slightly less accurate at 83%, still performs commendably, considering its simplicity and widespread usage. Its precision, recall, and F1-score metrics around 82% underscore its reliability in disease classification tasks. Additionally, the RMSprop optimizer, while not as effective as Adam, demonstrates good performance with an accuracy of around 94% and stable precision, recall, and F1-score metrics, each approximately 94%. Overall, the findings suggest that all three optimizers can effectively train CNN models for potato disease classification. However, the Adam optimizer tends to yield the best results in this context, emphasizing its potential for optimizing models in similar agricultural applications. This comprehensive analysis provides valuable insights for researchers and practitioners aiming to deploy automated disease detection systems in potato cultivation and potentially other agricultural domains.

Abstract

This article discusses the implementation of competency-based Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum in improving the quality of learning at Nusantara Health Vocational High School (SMK) Pamekasan. This study aims to examine and analyse the implementation of competency-based Islamic Education curriculum at SMK Kesehatan Nusantara. The research method used is a literature study with a qualitative approach. The results showed that the implementation of competency-based PAI curriculum has had a positive impact on the quality of learning at SMK Kesehatan Nusantara Pamekasan. The findings provide recommendations to continue to improve the development of competency-based PAI curriculum in order to improve the quality of education at the SMK.

Abstract

This study aims to illustrate the dynamics of curriculum development in early childhood education at Madrasah Nurul Jadid in Angsokah Barat, Palengaan, Pamekasan. The focus of the research includes an analysis of curriculum policies, implementation, as well as the challenges and strategies encountered in the curriculum development process. Employing a qualitative research method with a case study approach, data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews with various stakeholders, including the madrasa management, teachers, and students, as well as document analysis of the curriculum. The findings reveal that the development of the early childhood education curriculum at Madrasah Nurul Jadid has undergone several dynamics influenced by both internal and external factors. Internal dynamics include changes in student needs and efforts to adjust the curriculum to meet these needs, such as enhancing teacher capacity through training and workshops. External dynamics encompass changes in national education policies that require madrasas to continually adapt their curricula, along with financial challenges impacting the procurement of facilities and teaching materials. Strategies employed by Madrasah Nurul Jadid to address these challenges include collaboration with other institutions to gain resource support, developing a flexible and adaptive curriculum in response to changes, and engaging alumni, the community, and parents in the educational process to enhance support and participation. This research provides insights into the complexities and challenges of curriculum development in early childhood madrasas, as well as effective strategies to address them
