JIKO (Jurnal Informatika dan Komputer) is a scientific journal published by Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat of Universitas Teknologi Digital Indonesia (d.h STMIK AKAKOM) Yogyakarta, Indonesia. First published in 2016 for a printed and online version. We receive original research articles and any review papers. The aims of JIKO are to disseminate research results and to improve the productivity of scientific publications. Abstract

Employee performance assessment is a very important task that has to be performed by Human Resource Department in a certain institution, because it would be useful for the policy holders to help them making a decision in promoting or not their employees. This paper delivered the analysis of using Multi Layer Perceptron (MLP) to predict the performance of security unit personnels which has been trained by a formal institution. The data that was used in this research were collected from PT. Garuda Merah Indonesia, that is a company that has role to train and to educate people who wants to be a security personnel. The data consist of 175 record with 10 attributes which include the assessment from aspects of cognitive, personality, and skill. MLP predicted the security personnel performances into three categories, i.e. “Good”, “Enough”, and “Fail”. The 10 folds Cross Validation technique was also used in testing phase to measure its performance comprehensively with the output of the best accuracy was 97,75%.

Abstract

The scholarship path is one of the paths used by the University of Technology Yogyakarta (UTY) in accepting new students. The track consists of seven criteria: school accreditation, family condition, report card score, achievement, written test, interview test. In order to process the criteria, it is necessary to have a Decision Support System (DSS) capable of conducting the scholarship selection process quickly, accurately and objectively. DSS is a system that can perform a decision-making process based on the human mindset. SPK can tolerate any kind of data whether it is certain or uncertain. Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) is a Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) category which is a decision-making technique of some alternative options, especially Multi Attribute Decision Making (MADC). TOPSIS aims to determine the ideal ideal solution and the ideal negative solution of the scholarship criteria. A positive ideal solution maximizes benefit criteria and minimizes cost criteria, whereas a negative ideal solution maximizes cost criteria and minimizes benefit criteria. The research methodology used is SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) and system implementation built using Delphi 7 programming language and data processing using DBMS SQL Server 2012.. The results of the system show that the system provides accurate and valid results in accordance with the data owned by prospective students so that full scholarship can be given in the right target.

Abstract

Behavior of sexual deviation is an unacceptable sexual behavior among the public. The lack of knowledge and the many obstacles to obtain information about early detection and community independence about sexual deviation and ignorance of the community in dealing with sexual deviation is also a factor not handled early. Forward chaining, consultation begins with a search of the premise or input data in the form of symptoms to the conclusion that is the conclusion of the type of deviation behavior as well as the solution. From the above problems will be built Web-based system that serves to detect the beginning independently of the perceived disorders that can be accessed with an extensive lap and time is not limited.The system is built using PHP and MySQL programming as the database. The method used for forwarding is forward chaining. While the results of the diagnosis will inform about the diagnosis of the list of symptoms included, information on the results of the rules of the disorder suffered and information about the possibility of handling can be done.Black box testing techniques are emphasized on data entry, output data, system functions, performance, and initialization in the system. While testing the alpha test is done by inviting 10 respondents testing is emphasized on the interface, dialogue, and information generated. From the results of testing the alpha test shows that the system created has been running well and produce information that is accurate, and easy to understand.

Abstract

AMIK Tunas Bangsa is a growing university in Pematangsiantar. Therefore, there are still many university activities and activities that are constrained by problems. One of them is the problem in the selection of employees by the foundation to occupy the position of Laboratory Assistant. Problems that arise in the selection process of acceptance of laboratory assistant at AMIK Tunas Bangsa Pematangsiantar is the absence of tools that can assist management in determining the appropriate candidate laboratory assistant to be the best. By building a system to support the decision of using AHP Algorithm (Analytical Hierarchy Process) is expected to assist the Foundation in conducting the assessment and can be used as input (Reference) by the Foundation to make decisions in selecting the appropriate laboratory assistant candidate accepted. Selection of laboratory assistant acceptance using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) algorithm can yield the best alternative, with criteria in the form of an interview, written test, practice test, and GPA. So the selection of acceptance of laboratory assistants can run exactly and in accordance with the expected.

Abstract

STMIK AKAKOM as a private university has long utilized internet technology as a medium of information and communications. Various information provided on the official website of this campus is Home, Akakom Profile, Study Program / Department, Campus Info, News, General Archives, and more. However, there is no study of how the site is visited by users. A review of the pages covered is useful for the evaluation of the site. The study aims to see the number and mapping of visits per page of the site.The steps taken are literature studies from relevant reference sources, configuring the Apache web server, collecting log data access for a certain time, then processing log access data, making discussion of the results of data processing, and making conclusions. Processing log access is done by changing the format of log access into csv format. Furthermore csv format changed to MySQL database format. The next processing is done using SQL commands. The results are presented in the form of information on the number of visitors on the site page, the pattern of visits and identification of frequently visited sites pages.The result of the research shows that the category most interested by visitors is News, followed by Campus Info category, then Akakom Profile, Study Program / Department, Others, and the last category is General Archive. The results of the research are expected to be used to assist the managers and developers in order to improve the quality of information services.

Abstract

Citrus species identification can use from citrus leaf image. The research purposes build the identificate citrus species based on leaf texture and shape by using Local Binary Pattern as texture feature and Moment Invariant as shape feature, and Euclidean Distance as image distance measurement. The research data use citrus leaf image consist of Citrus aurantifolia, Citrus sinesis, Citrus hystrix, Citrus limon, Citrus maxima, Citrus amblycarpa, and Citrus microcarpa. Based on experiment tests, we can conclude that (1) 100% accuracy for citrus leaf from a smartphone, (2) 100% accuracy for citrus leaf from a smartphone with red background, (3) 85,71% accuracy for citrus leaf from a smartphone with green background, (4) 100% accuracy for citrus leaf from a smartphone with blue background, (5) 85,71% accuracy for citrus leaf from a smartphone with black background, (6) 85,71% for images from the internet.

Abstract

Various kinds of potential are owned by a community, especially Batam as a target of tourist destination. One potential that continues to be fostered is regional crafts that realize the economic independence of the community itself. The Government partner that have some programs to foster and develop regional handicraft products is National Craft Council of Batam under the guidance of the Industry and Trade Office. There are some obstacles faced by the management of traditional handicrafts, in term of promotion since it has been carried out in the exhibitions that are limited by time and place. It makes the development of the promotion and their potential run slowly in terms of disseminating information. It becomes the basic consideration for an online system of traditional crafts that prioritizes speed, easiness, flexibility and interactivity for some system users. Dynamic Systems Development Method (DSDM) is part of the agile software method. This method helps users to define clearly the system needs through early and continuous software delivery. The iteration in the design process makes it easier to adjust the needs of system users. The results of the system design are adjustments to the functional requirements of the system in accordance with the user needs.

Abstract

Social mediabecome popular in this day. Sharing the daily moments in social media has become a daily routine. People can also discuss about the post in the existing comment field. For example a comment on Youtube video. But the popularity of social media bring some problems with attracting users who spread spam content on comments. In this research, will be discussed about the classification of spam comments on Youtube with several methods tested. The dataset contains 1956 data,that used to train data. The result of model evaluation using cross validation resulted Support Vector Machine method with Linear approach has highest accuracy equal to 91,92%. Expectedby this research can provide solutions as an effort to prevent spam content in social media comment field..

Abstract

Coffee is one of the most popular beverages in the world and has a different taste. One of the most famous types of coffee is arabica. This coffee has many varieties depend on the area of planting. Therefore, sometimes though both arabica coffee varieties, but may have different features such as differences in color, shape, or texture. So that sometimes farmers or coffee shop owners even people can make mistakes in recognizing arabica coffee varieties. This problem will affect the price determination of coffee, because each varieties have different prices. Therefore, needed a system that is able to recognize arabica coffee varieties accurately so it can be used as a second opinion in recognizing arabica coffee varieties. One of the technique that can be used is by imaging. This research begins with the pre-processing stage that is cropping the image manually. The next stage is feature extraction using the solidity features associated with convex hull. The last stage is classification using MultiLayer Perceptron and obtained 80% accuracy, 80% sensitivity, and 80% specificity.

Abstract

The existing complaints on the performance of assistant lecturers show the impact of the absence of better competence, so that an accurate evaluation process on the performance of lecturer assistants based on their duties and obligations in a certain period of time. The evaluation process required an improved model of accuracy which was a formidable challenge in the selection of more efficiency and effectiveness features, in which case we proposed a method of particle swarm optimization to improve the accuracy of neural network methods that experienced problems in the selection of features that were weighted in detailed analysis by particle swarm optimization with neural network learning performance. This study aims to find a complex alternative solution in the evaluation of lecturer's assistant where research is based on parameters obtained from UCI Machine Repository. The final research shows that particle swarm optimization method can in-crease the accuracy of 75.56% from the previous value of 51.75% and increase the kappa value of 0,632 from the previous kappa value 0,276. The result of developing particle swarm optimization toward neural network by increasing the accuracy and kappa value can be used as controlling periodically in evaluating the performance of assistant lecturer.
